Image123: Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. i think it is unfair to compare dancing as on the same scale of relevance as fellowship, prayer, fasting and witnessing. Strawmen are your bane Who compared dancing ' on the same scale of relevance as fellowship, prayer, fasting and witnessing'? I merely pointed those to educate you on the fallacy of disuse as a solution to abuse. Once again, any aspect of Christianity is susceptible to abuse. Interesting, the assertion that is. The 'lamely twisted verse' was generic. 'Generic'? Why would you post it here? Did you come across any abused verse here? If you haven't, then may I suggest you. superior1: I have been awhile on this forum but never stayed glued to any thread like this. I have in the past few days on my spare time read through all the 52pages. If you noticed some likes on your previous comments, that is probably me. @analice107....your passion for Christ is quite infectious, your humility very touching, I read of your revelations concerning the ministry God is committing into your hands, the Lord will guide you through in Jesus name.
@vooks....someone called you 'spiritual baddooo' in one of the pages, I guess he meant that to mean spiritual-no-nonsense person. You reminded me of what Kenneth Haggins related to some ministers during the healing movement, he warned them about building ministries on spiritual gifts and to be well planted in God's word. I am sure many would have misunderstood him but true to his words, many of the so called God's G ended up badly and some fell out of faith. We can never go wrong with the Bible but then bro...ehmm, dey mix am with love, you take style style harsh small (something I am also guilty and try to work on).A dear Sister I knew back then at the Uni is given to the Prophetic Anointing, unlike her fiance who is called into Pastoral, she dey throw am like a true Prophet, she no dey look face atol. God gave her a revelation you fornicated, she will say it korokoro to your face without mincing words, whereas the Pastor Bro, will take style tell you to avoid sexual immorality if given the same revelation
CharlyG1....Read your insightful comments, they are quite revealing...something satan doesn't like,as he prefer darkness and mysteries.....ehm as painful as it would be, you need pains like vooks in your ministry and for it to enter full maturity, people who no dey look face and yours inclusive, it is dangerous for ministers not to, they are the Tunde Bakares of this world and their ministry is also from God, the end is to make Man of God to be thoroughly furnished unto every good works.
@every other brethren, I throway salute o....I will start my contribution by responding on the Ifeoma episode related by Analice Thank you for your kind words, I apologize for any offense I may have caused with my tongue |

My serious (serious) question here is; why do you not worship these gods?
they've been far more impressive than yahweh, who thought the earth was the centre of the universe and had to run away from an army that was using iron (seems he didn't know how to make steel), and are African.
You never heard of them? Well, now that you have are you willing to discard false oyinbo religions and embrace your african roots?
Oh, and please, while how they got the data is debatable, it still is a lot better than what judeoxtianity offers. If you're going to make a move using 'faith' and long shots, why not this??
Plus, they're from the marine world, and have spaceships!!!
And we all know spaceships and the marine world exist. So, why not believe their tale of over the obvious yahweh charade? If you are going to attempt to look intelligent, go further than Wikipedia knowing articles can be edited by anybody. Are there any academic and peer-reviewed studies of the Dogon astronomy? |

[size=1pt] jiggaz: The end of the age / world is here. This world is just rounding up..... The Rapture is imminent and the coming of our Lord Jesus is just soooooo near!!!!!!!!
(NaturalNews) Space weather scientists are shouting out and warning the world like never before. Earth has never been this susceptible to an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) that could blast from the heavens above and end human civilization as we know it. The apocalyptic news even has the White House prepping. The federal government of the United States recently announced preparations to protect against a possible EMP blast.
The repercussions of the devastating solar flares would be catastrophic, taking out energy grids for months, rendering cell phones, electronic payment, and internet communication useless. The fragile $2.6 trillion economy would dissolve and everything would go dark as the desperate, unprepared masses fall into a panic.
As GPS systems shut down, people will be clueless about their location, looking around dumbfounded and afraid. GPS-dependent oil drilling would come to a halt. Train networks would stop transport. As high frequency radio communication went out, aviation would become null and void.
12 percent chance of EMP blackout in the next seven years
In 2012, Earth was spared as a powerful geomagnetic solar storm brushed by Earth's orbit. Scientists are predicting that this cycle of intense solar activity will continue till 2022 and believe there is a 12 percent chance Earth could be hit in the next seven years.
Space weather consultant John Kappenman puts it bluntly, "Frankly, this could be one of the most severe natural disasters that the country, and major portions of the world, could face." Assistant to the President for Science and Technology Director, Office of Science and Technology Policy, John P. Holdren warns, "Space weather is a naturally occurring phenomenon that has the potential to cause substantial detrimental effects on the Nation's economic and social well-being."
The White House has implemented a six-step plan, starting with the deployment of measurement equipment, which includes using the Richter magnitude scale to forecast solar events in the same way earthquakes are judged. The plan additionally calls for increasing the amount of satellites in space to give earlier warning. Space weather forecasters can currently predict a solar event only 15 to 60 minutes before it occurs. In a major power outage, there will have to be an expedient and mass effort to replace Extra High Voltage transformers. Power could go down for months even in the best circumstances.
If the worst happens, most people will be expendable
The action plan also calls for research into the potential effects that a solar storm could have on America's infrastructure. This will allow for an organized response and recovery plan that protects the most important components of America's economy first. The plan seeks to preserve government agencies, the insurance industry, the media, academia, and powerful players in the private sector if a catastrophic event were to unfold. The strategy coordinators admit that "much more needs to be done" to protect all Americans from the threat.
In 1859, the Earth was struck by a coronal mass ejection. It was known as the Carrington event. As the pulse hit, telegraph lines exploded, igniting fires at telegraph offices, shutting down power in Europe and North America. In those days, people weren't nearly as dependent on electricity as they are today.
Imagine how the devastation would play out today. The government's best satellite technology probably won't save us, and don't expect the people in power to care about average people like you, anyway. In a catastrophic event like this, most people will be expendable.
Those who survive a potential blast will have their own clean water, food abundance, natural healing, and self- defense action plan in place.

analice107: I agree with you totally. But there's no transition in view anytime soon. I heard him at the workers meeting clearly saying, no one retires from serving God. He even said an old friend recently asked him if he was "still doing this thing" and he told him that no one retires from servanthood until death. I heard him saying that. If he intends to handover to Pastor David, he has not mention it. If he had even in secret, trust me, we would have heard. Bishop Abioye is there, Bishop Aremu is there. Three of them started that ministry from inception, he is just the one who received the vision, but the two bishops are Aaron and Hur. Moses couldn't fulfil his ministry with out them. But look, God never instructed that any of them(Aaron and Hur) should be the next in line. He picked Joshua the servant of Moses to carry on.
There's one thing l have known God's servant for, he doesn't do anything except he receives instructions from God, that's why, with all the oppositions, he never responds back, and never looks back. He has his instructions, he moves on. If God has directed him to handover the mantle of leadership to Pastor David, he will, and David won't fail.
Brother vooks, if you have ever sat under Pastor David's ministration, you will understand what am saying. He is good. but that's not to say, the mantle shd be passed down to him, except God instructs anyways. Thank you Anas09, Gossip sells BIG time. One of his messages I listened to on YouTube titled 'fundamentals of church growth' left me convinced that there are proper structures in place over there |

So pls Ops, do you know something we don't? And, friends, we should be careful how we gulp down unfounded stories, and how we just accept this things then go on to malign the servants of God. During elections, someone came up with the "gate of hell" saga, wen I watched the video of that service, I almost cried at how crafty some folk can be. How could someone think and put together something so far off from what actually happen, just to malign the servant of God? But you guys just went on chipping off at the man, to your own peril. No one called these men into ministry. If they fall or stand, it's to Him who called them. Anas09 dearest, The Egyptians despise shepherds so much. Never forget that. Genesis 46:33-34 (KJV) And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation? 34 That ye shall say, Thy servants' trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians. But I feel leadership transition is something churches up need to invest in so it does not take them by surprise and kill a great vision as it oft times does. Companies which have nothing to do with the gospel have mastered something the church can't just get right. Reminds me if this Luke 16:8 (KJV) And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light |

Image123: Unfortunately, that's what "we" ever talk about, and also David sinned or fell into adultery. The "we" usually hype these two instances to support their vain lifestyles, that's the observation. Yes David fell into adultery. Does that subtract nothing from the fact that an entire chapter is dedicated to his dancing and celebrating before the Lord? How is it hyped? Did David err in any way by your estimation? Whatever amounts to 'vain lifestyles' to you, what is wrong with dancing before the Lord? i find it paralytic and parasitic to dwell on this account to support all the frivolities that go on today in the name of worship. i'm not against dancing, but against its abuse and misuse all in the name of "David danced". Don't want to take anything away from the 5 or more lessons you learnt from any passage of the Bible so will not counter it. The Word of God is living and ministers to us differently, so good thing if it has taught you 5 or more things. However, all of my life, i'm yet to see where God approved of David's dance, maybe you could help quote it specifically. i recall off hand that that same passage talks of God killing somebody while David was dancing the first time. BTW, David was a man after God's heart since like forever. We are not told that he danced his way to that point/position. We can only assume so. i will not rain on the rest of your 'parade'. You are not against dancing? Cool. Do you dance before the Lord? If you do, briefly distinguish your dancing from 'all the frivolities that go on today'. And if you don't dance, briefly explain why you won't indulge in something you are not against I'm yet to see anywhere God disapproved of David's dancing. You may want to quote it. How does God approve of it? First, He never stopped David. Secondly, his detractor wife was cursed with barrenness. She probably had studied and mastered your vocabularies of 'frivolities', 'moderation','sobriety' bla de bla and went a step further and rebuked David. You obviously wish there was no record of this, don't you? It does not matter how many times it is quoted as long as it is NEVER misquoted. Do you have a particular frequency verses should be quoted before they become 'paralytic and parasitic'? You are a professional at making up strawmen. Nobody has claimed that he danced his way to that position. What is clear to us for an example is the lifestyle of the man after God's heart; he was a dancer who cared the least about decorum when it comes to worship. David danced vigorously and he wrote about dancing in Psalms. What else do you want before you can get off your sanctimonious rear and dance before the Lord? An inspired dance video from biblical times? So how did David dance and what extra blessings did he get for it, let me be nice. Vigorous enough to be noticed by his wife Let me be nice. Give me a single reason why you won't dance because I know you don't |

I pity them so much for those that I can see their problems physically ( what about those there's is internal). I keep asking myself why should these people be here when TB JOshua claims to be a healer and helper of the poor Lost my cousin's father in law even after going there for healing(even though we tried discouraging them from going there). WITHIN ME, I KNOW THAT HE IS NOT A TRUE MAN OF GOD. Even if genuine hearings happen there, there is an illusion of CERTAINTY given there that EVERYONE walks away with their miracles. This is what draws the desperate from afar off. You sell certainty to the desperate and when they don't get healed you blame it on their 'lack of faith' or prayerlessness. Have you wondered how come he never visited the survivors of the collapsed building in the hospital? Image123: This is a most ridiculous and vain assertion premised on many fallacies. Yes, King David danced, so? King David also did a thousand and one other things, do you? Why are we not talking about David's giving, or his faith, or his humility, or his courage, or his penitence, or his righteousness, or his love for God, or his patience. Because we are talking about dancing before the Lord and not the 'thousand and one' other things His dance is not said to have achieved anything good,or is it? I find it decidedly lame to ignore this wonderful record of simply because it is 'not said to have achieved any good'. Can I also argue that that neither is it said to have achieved anything bad? This particular episode teaches you one thousand and one things; 1. God approved of it 2. It shows that God is not opposed to dancing before Him 3. It teaches that dancing before the Lord was not a preserve of any group of men; Miriam danced in Ex 15:10, a king in 2 Sam 6:14, and he urges us to dance in Psalms 4. Gives powerful insight into the heart of David; he wa so lost in God that he couldn't care about men's opinions 5. Teaches us that David led by example Meditate on these for now It is good to praise God, but it is shameful and carnal to hang all human carnality on david danced with might as some sort of justification. It is shameful to obfuscate praise and dance. The question is whether dancing like David is 'all human carnality' or not. FYI, 'all human carnality' can be hanged on ANY aspect of Christianity you can imagine of and the solution is not to spite the aspect but to trash and divorce 'all human carnality' from it. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ exorcised 'all human carnality' from one too many things including sacrifice, prayer, charity,fasting.... So my good broda image123, if you choose to dance 'in your heart' like a flag pole during national anthem, at the very least get decent excuses. 'Frivolity','moderation','sobriety', 'all human carnality' and all those vocabularies won't wash. |

Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be hereafter. After the time of the church on earth, the hereafter occurs in the which we shall not all sleep but shall be changed. The people alive will not prevent or even precede the people asleep, but they will all be caught up together unto the Lord in the air. It is this period that the door was opened, and from there onwards the elders and saints participate fully in Heaven's activities. . You know my good broda, the problem with this theory that John's LITERAL activity are somewhat symbolic of the church is inconsistency. You really have to cherrypick. Subjectivity creeps in. One can claim that when John fell down before the angel to worship him points to some point in Church history bla bla. You have no scriptural basis for reading rapture onto Revelation 4:1, all you have is your determination to place it there. Herein lies your circular reasoning; 'there is rapture in Revelation 4 because I believe Revelation 4 is talking about rapture' John is not a participant nor a character in the prophecy. The characters are Jesus, Angels, dragon, beasts, image of beasts, elders, cities,hills,horns,crowns....all that John records but not himself. This removes his activities out of our scope of interpretation of Revelation. Reading the glorious resurrection of the saints outside John's narrative and into his literal acts is no theology but theorizing. |

plappville: I asked because it surprises me muslims could say I am shi'ite or Sunni yet these names are not in thier most divine book. Its supposed to be HARAM to them since its not in the quran. . Are you sure about this? Is it true that ANYTHING not mentioned in Quran is haram, or is it anything Quran expressly forbids? |

muafrika: We need these kind of threads for this times. Too many lies in the church. And it is a command to judge all prophecy.
And with Elnino this year, draught is guaranteed immediately thereafter.
N.Korea tests a dangerous every year. Around his birthday. Thank you bros, Man was created to dominate, have dominion and I thing from the earliest they discovered you need information and knowledge to dominate. Knowledge of the future makes life more predictable and this explains the booming soothsaying industry of crystal ball gazers, tarot cards, seers and so forth. Our prophets exploit this fascination/obsession with future knowledge to the max. They make names and money for themselves in the process. About TB Joshua, it is not his person I have a problem with but his mindless sheeple who dread thinking through whatever he spews and are so easily mesmerized by his 'gifts'. They equate doubting or questioning him with blasphemy. The reason God requires us to judge prophecy is because there is a huge element of subjectivity seeing the infallible and perfect Creator uses fallible and imperfect creatures. |

analice107: Lord Jesus!!!!!!! vooks. Pls don't kill me with lafta. The guy wants to kill his dad or better still kill himself. Pls be nice. But, seriously, if this guy were to be in US, he would have had a very good reason to become a serial killer. Dearest Anas09, Look at what I highlighted Either he is spinning a long yarn just to test us or he is a ruthless attention seeker like Janodack. In the highly unlikely event that he is honest, he needs to grow up and seriously consider the prospects of being another man's wife in jail for 20yrs. That should sober him up |
