pansophist: Haaaa, this one is serious. It's not a good start.
It's difficult to access their situation since we are not in a relationship. But is either the man who made her feel uncomfortable coming to him for her needs, he doesn't have, or something else. I don't know. Lol The man has. I don't know why is like that. Perhaps, that's what some guys want. They don't owe her not until after marriage. |

pansophist:

It's like you've just started dating women. I'm assuming you're a man lol.
If a woman is in need, you will know. A man may hide his need because woman loose respect for men they support financially. But women? I'll know.
They leave cues. She will talk. She will say it indirectly. It's impossible to confuse it, unless the man just don't want to help. A woman in financial need is the easiest thing to spot in the world.
If I ask "how are you", and she said I'm not fine, I'll only continue asking her what the problem is if I'm sure I can help. If not, I'll just tell her " God is your strength ". yes i get you But why is it like that? A female friend of mine shared her friend experience with me. This her friend has been proposed to and their wedding is coming up in two months time. This her friend live on the mainland. She finished her service just of resent while the guy (husband to be) live and work on the island. This her friends need some cash to sort out something (around 30-40k) and she couldn't talk to her fiance (husband to be) but resorted to ask her friend It doesn't sit well to me though. I felt if she can accept a man proposal, it means they must have been together for a while and willing to start a family with him. Why wouldn't she be free to express her win and loss to him? Or was it that she felt he won't do it for her or he will but feel somewhat awkward and she's trying to avoid that? I don't know, i felt it's weird if you aren't free completely to your husband or wife to be |

pansophist: Of yes, of course. My consequent response to mariahangel shows that was what I meant. No sex for the man until marriage either.
And to be clear, a man should assist a woman that he is not married to financially, but where I draw the line is when the women feels entitled to his provisions, then she is crossing the line.
Personally, I will express my affection by giving if I see that there is a genuine need. She don't have to ask, I'll just give. But when it becomes my duty, or a right for her to access my provisions, then only marriage unlocks that. I agree with you But how would you know she's truly in need if she can't ask you as a friend? For instance, let's assume she's from a humble background. As a student, she has paid her tuition fee but hasn't completed her hostel fee. Her hostel fee is 70k but she has 40k. How would you know she needs help truly if she didn't ask for it? Personally, i feel if she constantly ask for help from you then i wouldn't condole that. But if it's once in a blue moon, and it's something reasonable like her education, handwork, health et al, then i would be glad to help and support. Afterall, we can help a total stranger who seek for genuine help, talk more of a friend. |

hakym619: ATTENTION GUYS
Guys I'm in tension. Recently, around April ending, i bought a government job slot. The issuer claimed that this slot was issued out by Lagos State government to the campaign DG to honor his efforts.
Please if you're an APC member in this house or a staff at Lagos civil service commission, is it true that politicians are given slots.
The person coordinating this slot selling has been telling us to be patient for documentation date - the third stage in employment processing.
NB : I and others have forwarded all credentials to him since May beginning but we're still on it till now.
ANXIETY IS KILLING ME . WHO HAS SOMETHING TO SAY 😢 I heard about this though but poor man no get money to buy I think you need to exercise patience. |

pansophist: Nothing is wrong with the advice, but only in the context of marriage. No man should be responsible for the financial needs of a girl he is not married to.
Furthermore, a woman should support her provider husband financially when he is passing through temporary financial issues. That's one of the qualities of being a good wife. provided the man won't ask for sex from her until after marriage, then i agree with you I assume temporary financial issues shouldn't exceed some weeks or maximum of few months. On that note, the man must show commitment during those short temporary financial issues period. He has to convince the woman with his efforts trying to get back on his feet. You know it is temporary not permanent. Also, don't forget it isn't the woman responsibility. |

MrBrownJay1: A) i have never lived in Nigeria (unless long holidays) B) i am just giving you PROPER STATISTICS and certainly not "he say she" say personal opinion C) again, many people in the US aint addicts nor illegal immigrants and still barely living paycheck to paycheck, and cant afford basic necessities of life. its even WORSE in the US than Europe, because at least some countries in Europe have a very strong social service system (compared to the US). a jobless 18yr old French citizen will receive money from the gov to survive (even if he hasnt paid a kobo in taxes), a US jobless 18yr wouldnt receive a kobo. D) many people cant get a decent job because of the amount of legal/illegal immigrant taking up these low pay jobs. E) many people in the US are broke because of the exacts same low financing car/house/Iphones etc notes you are talking about (That they cant afford) F) addiction is NOT part of the poverty i am talking about, nor the CNBC video i just posted, if you had watched t, you would have understood that the poverty in the US that everyone is talking about must be from a different country than the US you are on about. G) ANYONE WHO LIVES PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK AND CAN BARELY AFFORD BASIC NECESSITIES (while living on credit) ARE POOR PEOPLE ON PAPER...regardless of what you believe. credit card debts and bad/low credit score is a sign! H) just because i can go to the US today and find a job DOES NOT Mean i cant be broke and/or still poor in the US.
FINALLY, the fact that you believe that there is no poverty in the US (unless by choice) makes me truly believe that you obvously dont know much about the US/Europe or you are just one of those Africans who landed, found a low paying job that paid 10 times what you were making in Nigeria and suddenly believed you were rich (or that everyone in the US is). i can take you today to some entire neighborhoods in Atlanta/Miami, LA and you will see nothing but poverty and ghettos (and drug addicts dont rent the houses/apt there). go check Liberty City, Overtown, Opa Locka in Miami and tell us it isnt rampant with poverty. some people in NY can only afford shitty dumpster apts that i wouldnt even let my worst enemy live in. NO POVERTY IN THE US....yeah right! A poor man in US is automatically a rich or average man in Nigeria or any other Africa country. They're incomparable |

Eriokanmi: He has spoken as a true leader because if it happens, the military will run. Where were you in October 2020, during endsars when the police ran away with their gun and youths set stations ablaze? Not even the military could disperse them rather, they gave them cover. Watch the videos of when they looted the warehouses where our corrupt politicians kept covid-19 palliatives to be shared among themselves and family and see how the youths confronted soldiers but they couldn't do anything. Go to the North East and see how boko haram besieged barracks and shut them down while soldiers ran away.
What's the population of Nigeria army, compared to over 70 million Nigerian youths? There's nothing like peace. Galant soldiers will run if it happens some would even join in the struggle because they're poorly remunerated. Haven't you heard of soldiers committing suicide or killing their fellows in this country in recent past? Haven't you heard of soldiers resigning? That would tell you whose side the gallant soldiers would be on, should there be violence. Those corrupt politicians you're siding will run to France as usual. Na only you and I go remain. Lol What makes you feel the entire youths are in support of Obi yet he came a distant third? You think the northerners are in support of Obi considering the numbers of votes he got from that region? Or he was also rigged out there too ba? You think you can defeat government? Lol |
