PoliticsRe: So Is The Protest A Success Or A Failure? by VULCAN(m): 7:12pm On Jan 10, 2012
The President announced that political office holders will sacrifice 25% of their SALARIES for subsidies.

That translates to Jonny sacrificing N800,000. PER ANNUM

Now that is a lot.

I dont see why people wud still want to protest when our president has given up so so much for us.

Oh, oh, maybe its 'cause he didnt touch the allowances that are in some cases 50-100 times the value of the salary of a political office holder

Aww, He must have forgotten about the allowances. Poor thing

Please someone should remind him, quick cos i wudnt want to believe that he purposely kept that little item hidden.

The allowances given to a nigerian senator are well over N100m per annum and there are about 150 of them while the allowances given to a rep are similar but with there being around 400 of those ones, well the numbers just keep adding up dont they?

Anyway for those who wont go out to the streets to demonstrate but wish support the protesters you can call enoughisenough nigeria on 07006662222(www.eienigeria.org) and make ur comments and or donations.

Im making my donation of water tommorow as i want to lead by example- unlike some president's we know

Listened to one of the serving House Of Reps members speaking at the NLC rally in Abuja. He said that when they asked Jonathan to explain how come fuel subsidy jumped to N1.2 Trillion when only N250 Billion was budgeted; that Jonathan said it was a cabal. They asked him who are those in this cabal. Then Jonathan said he wud send the names to them. Then he said that the next day Jonathan travelled to France with the cabal members on his entourage.

He is saying what everyone who is truthful to himself and who will stand before God one day also knows. The cabal eats and sleeps with Jonathan and made very heavy donations to his election. Anybody who opens his mouth to say that these people are faceless just because they are benefitting from this govt will repeat these words at the Gates of Heaven.

For those of you who dont know the cabal members you can go here: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-816623.0.html  This lists those who collect subsidy. The remaining members are a few government officials in NNPC, PPRA, DPR, Min of Petroleum and The Presidency.

Because I am involved in the oil and gas industry i also know dat a few of these guys have been promised Refinery licenses but the condition they gave was that the subsidy must go first. This is evil cause it will take a minimum of 18 months on average to put up a Refinery (this is in countries where things work it will probably take longer here!) So they want us to pay N141-N200 for that long.

The bible says "woe unto you when your king is a child"

So thats the woe we are experiencing. A man that has no experience whatsover in leading men. He studied Zoology so all his academic knowledge prepared him for dealing with animals. Even while he was a Gov. he was taking orders from Alams who had been disgraced out of office. What a shame. Let him cut down on his feeding and kitchen equipment. To budget N75m to refit your kitchen in Nigeria is insanity. Especially when we all know that the kichen will be refitted again next year.

I know that some people are saying that this is a fuel subsidy removal battle: actually its a protest against a father who tells his children that they have to stop eating delicacies cos he is not making enough money then goes on to order champagne and caviar in their presence while stopping them from eating chicken.
PoliticsRe: Senate Release Names Of Fuel Subsidy Beneficiaries by VULCAN(m): 4:20pm On Dec 03, 2011
BigUps to youngmonie!
Its refrershing to come across somebody who can cut thru all the sentimental bull and use insight to understand whats going on! I have mentioned this same line of argument (offline)in respect to what happens when the subsidy is removed and was dumbfounded that peeps dont get it.

That the so called cartel will lose by the removal of subsidy is a half truth. Only the weakest members will lose out. All the big boys will benefit. Reason being that we will still be importing fuel and who do you think will get those contractshuh

What will happen now is that 10 or 11 of the biggest boys will get those contracts to import fuel with one major difference. They will no longer have to bribe the chaps in PPRA and PEF to collect the subsidy back. Now all they have to do is sell in the open market. At around N150 per litre. For those who wonder why the number will reduce isnt it obvious that when u actually have to sell your product and not sign fictitious figures with greedy government officials; then the real supply of fuel will reduce as if u calculate all the these 28 coys claim they are bringing in- it is more than enough for 200million people

This situation will persist for about three to four years while the same big boys are building their own refineries then the number will gradually reduce as their wont be much demand for imported fuel again. By the time if the masses have not revolted they will have accepted a form of economic slavery to the ruling classes.

I dont need to mention that armed robbery, kidnapping(especially kidnapping) will dramatically increase during this three year period. Kidnapping cos it is preferable to armed robbery by most criminally minded graduates as blood does not have to be spilt.

Guys its gonna be one heck of a ride! Put your helmets on.

Hardware Config? Really? Pls enlighten me cos what I do know is Bold 2 has only 256MB memory and OS 6 alone takes up around 200MB leaving next to nothing to run operations on the fone. Dats why I want to shrink the OS to about 100MB. But I don't know anything bout hardware config
PhonesRe: Free Blackberry Unlocking Codes (NOT BLACKBERRY 10 DEVICES) by VULCAN(m): 10:44am On Jul 27, 2011
Oh,Officially, through DM-OS6 is much better I can't lie but the fact that the browser closes down pages like 10 times a day due to insufficient memory is a pain in the ass. I would have gone ahead to attempt the bb boss operation but one of the requirememnts is that you must have the OS you want to shrink installed on ur computer. Considering that I just upgraded my bb directly to my fone through DM- I don't have my OS on my computer as I didn't need to download it.

Hi Lexusg430,

Its stress using OS6 on bold 2, the OS has eaten up all the memory. I want to shrink my OS and I hear bb boss does it. Unfortunately the instructions for using it are so opaque. Can you help with this?

ComputersRe: Please Help Recycler Is Killing My System! by VULCAN(m): 11:44pm On Feb 05, 2010
Had the same problem recently. Malwarebytes did the trick. download it free ,clean up de system then uninstall it and install kaspersky 2010.

Note that you must run both in safe mode otherwise some of them baggers will hide there.

U also have to switch off your system restore till the clean up is over- some of them baggers hide there as well.

If you are wondering why yu have to switch to Kaspersky, well, my malwarebytes got corrupted after some time and cudnt pick malware anymore.

@omega25red

first off thanks for your help!!

Should have acknowledged it earlier but was a bit peeved at my busybody cos i should have just backed important stuff and formatted the entire damn drive.

unfortunately i had tried what yu said  but just forgot to mention it. It didnt work for the reasons I gave. It was a long shot.

@iorhenter
Thanks for your help.

Perfect solution bro-

-If I had the XP CD!!

But i don't!!

Yu are right I have XP SP2. So guys what are my options?

As i see it either I get an XP cd or I create a boot disk.

My understanding is if i can just get bypass my drive I can use recovery console to get into mscongig and switch my system back to nornal boot mode. But this seems to require me creating a boot disk myself and im not that good - not yet!!.

So guys, Can i get an xp cd from computer village or something as It seems like its easier to fly to the moon than successfully create a boot cd

HELP STILL NEEDED
ComputersRe: Post Your Laptop Problems Here For Free Advice. by VULCAN(m): 10:57am On Dec 11, 2009
@omega25red

That can't work cos I have switched the boot to safe mode in msconfig. No matter what choice I pick on the pre-safe mode page it just loops back.

Getting into BIOS cant undo that (as far as I know).

I need to get back into msconfig and choose normal boot as it was before.

Hey Guys HELP WANTED FAST

b] STUCK ON CHOOSE SAFE MODE PAGE

I have an HP COMPAQ XP and here is the trouble.

It recently got infected with some wicked trojans and i bought Kaspersky 2010, it cleaned up over 300 infected files ON THE FIRST DAY yet every day i put on the system it finds like 20 or more.

So I decided to start it up in safe mode and do the clean up from there - only to discover that it will not boot into safe mode. It would pretend it was going into safe mode then all of a sudden it would open up the desktop normally

Then I found out i could manually induce safe mode by using MSCONFIG.

I was headed for trouble with my eyes open.

I went in to MSCONFIG, adjusted it to boot into safe mode and restarted

And thats it.

Keeps running a loop of showing me the page that allows me to choose whether i want safe mode- then after i choose SM it loops back to the same page.

and it has been stuck in a loop ever since

Dont have the operating system or recovery disk- whats to be done PLS HELP

[center]Any Person May Become Great

THERE is a Principle of Power in every person. By the intelligent use and direction of this principle, man can develop his own mental faculties. Man has an inherent power by which he may grow in whatsoever direction he pleases, and there does not appear to be any limit to the possibilities of his growth. No man has yet become so great in any faculty but that it is possible for someone else to become greater. The possibility is in the Original Substance from which man is made. Genius is Omniscience flowing into man.

Genius is more than talent. Talent may merely be one faculty developed out of proportion to other faculties, but genius is the union of man and God in the acts of the soul. Great men are always greater than their deeds. They are in connection with a reserve of power that is without limit. We do not know where the boundary of the mental powers of man is; we do not even know that there is a boundary.

The power of conscious growth is not given to the lower animals; it is mans alone and may be developed and increased by him. The lower animals can, to a great extent, be trained and developed by man; but man can train and develop himself. He alone has this power, and he has it to an apparently unlimited extent.

The purpose of life for man is growth, just as the purpose of life for trees and plants is growth. Trees and plants grow automatically and along fixed lines; man can grow, as he will. Trees and plants can only develop certain possibilities and characteristics; man can develop any power, which is or has been shown by any person, anywhere. Nothing that is possible in spirit is impossible in flesh and blood.

Nothing that man can think is impossible-in action. Nothing that man can imagine is impossible of realization.
Man is formed for growth, and he is under the necessity of growing.
It is essential to his happiness that he should continuously advance.

Life without progress becomes unendurable, and the person who ceases from growth must either become slowpoke or insane. The greater and more harmonious and well rounded his growth, the happier man will be

You made some serious points there. Men do act like that. But it all comes down to positioning. A successful/wealthy man doesnt consider a girl who isn't working as a liability-he sees that as an OPPORTUNITY. 'because he can make a difference in her life. Whereas a struggling/up and coming man sees her as a LIABILITY. Both men are positioned differently so they see a different thing though they are observing the same person.

Sexyuhlala:
Men would never cease to amaze me.

When u start dating a girl and she not working, they always say "l can't marry a liability", when she starts working and she earns some cash no matter how much they start their nonsense just like "Ahhhhhhhhhhh ,she earns higher than l do"

If l may ask, what is it that MEN want? Cuz l really don't understand. Well l guess everything balls down to insecurity when it comes to the MEN oh.

Of course a lady would want her man to earn higher than she does but to me the other way round don't matter at all.

The most important thing is that there is mutual love, respect and understanding.

FamilyRe: Advice Needed For Living In Nigeria by VULCAN(m): 12:43am On Aug 29, 2007
@HIS MICHELE

I think you are such a wonderful person and regardless of what anyone says pls go and see him. Normal precautions should apply.

I am so disappointed reading the comments of most of these posters. I am 34, living in Nigeria and have lived in The UK and for the first time in my life I am so ashamed to be a Nigerian.

Fellow Nigerians are giving you negative advise on him not 'cos he is a man and may be an axe murderer but because he is A Nigerian of Igbo extraction.

That is what Jesus meant when he said 'A house divided against itself will not stand.' I dont think this is the generation that will restore Nigeria's greatness. There will arise a generation that looks at the Good in Nigeria and celebrates it far above the bad. They rape a woman in South Africa every few minutes but South Africans are respected all over the world because they believe in their fatherland and each other.

HIS MICHELE pls note that most of these negative minded people do not know that Life is meant to be an adventure. Most of them are stuck in routine jobs, living from day to day, just existing not doing anything that will leave a mark for posterity.

Pls go on your adventure. Recognise the dangers and prepare but do it cos you will live a life of regret if you dont. Every One was born to take one adventure in life but since most have silenced that voice they will not want another to go on theirs.

Every single great man and woman of history took a step that had the potential to destroy them but they went ahead regardless.

Pls follow their footsteps.
