Please who is saying they are all stealing ?The bible said we should obey the word of God.The man of God opened my eyes to understand how to give to the poor,God,man and the church her self.Or, i studied my bible and with the help of the holy spirit i got a revelation regarding how to give or sow,i obeyed the word of God,and ''gave GOD'' the same money he blessed me with and you say the pastor was the one who stole the money from me.Yet i did not see anything contrary to the word of God as preached by the pastor,it was not the quran that the pastor used in his preaching,it was still d same bible i have bin reading, no form of deception at least to d best of my knowledge,i did not part with my money at gun point,it was not as if the pastor lied to me,all the things the bible said i should do that if i do them i will get this and that positive results and i have bin seeing all those things. But even if am yet to see them, was it not by faith i did them ? Or have i seen Jesus before ? Was i there when he was crucified ? But becos it is written that's why am doing them my brother. Even if i give to these pastors to help me give to God or i give expecting that God will come pick it up,if the pastors fail to give it to God or stops God from picking up my offering, how does that concerns me ? If God can't fight them, then who are my to fight them ? Funny enough most people shouting foul foul !,they dnt even give . The above isn't addressing you OP but your statement ! God bless us
Who are you preaching to here? The people here are intellectuals - not brainwashed lazy, miracle rather than hardwork loving mumus. |
Any christian who worship mamon will end up in hell. But any christian who do not manage mamon well, the heavenly riches will not be entrusted unto him! ''He who is faithful in what is least is also faithful in much. For if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?" (Luke 16:11)This was the exact word of jesus. As irrelevant money is in heaven,Christ expects us to manage it very well.God will help us so we dnt consider money first above God ! God bless us
You are not worshipping mammon? Why do you go about with pictures of those super rich tithe collecting beggars called pastors? Some of you pagans will even hang their picture on the wall or gate of their house. What exactly are these lazy spirit chasing people looking for? Miracles (what you didnt work for)? Protection from your shadows? I pity you... |
God bless you my brother. The almighty God will see you through.I was like you before 2008 and today am a different person on the positive side. The word of God isn't your word so pls stop all these hates talks ! We are no morons including you. We are all children of the most high God. Let love lead bro !I can't just be called a brain washed goat just becos i want to follow Christ ! Any way, christ was even humiliated far more and then crucified ! But thank God jesus is still alive. Jesus loves you ! God bless us
Another proof that you are a brainwashed mumu... Explain how your life is different and better than those hardworking patroitic Nigerians who are not following your god? |
God's business is good business ! I'm yet to see one man or woman who said that he or she became broke becos he/she gave offering or tithe in the house of God. I love God's kind of business venture.# God bless us
Interesting... So many borrowing money daily to survive. Look at the tithe paying mumu beside you and ask if he has money in his pocket. A christian has come to money to ask for money to pay in church - that tells you how terribly foolish these guys can be. |
sarutobie: Be glad that God's grace has removed the scales from your eyes..God have mercy on anyone who calls himself a christain that will pitch tents with unbelievers and heathens to bring down the church(even though it can NEVER be accomplished)..God can never be mocked.Christ said"not all who call my name shall see the kingdom of God" . And he said "I know my sheep, and they will hear my voice when I call"..on that day, pastors, popes, you and I will stand individually before our maker and give account of our life..instead of venting out anger and blasphemies online, why not direct some positive energy to your neighbours, widows, orphans, the weak,prisoners..That is the true religion which our Lord Jesus recognizes..this post is directed only to the believers..This guy will die in ignorance... |
ANALIST: If the wrong candidate why did he win. Because you agreed that he won the election. You are not making sense... |
ANALIST: Never a wrong vote but, a process of social engineering that ca never be a magic wand.Interesting... Then you are going to make the same mistake and again if you think if was not a wrong vote. Now tell me, what is wrong vote? And when can you call a vote "wrong"? |
Is anybody disappointed? You guys voted in the wrong person and you want him to perform miracle. How possible is that? |
Na wa o. In addition to not getting your priorities right, you are also a prejudiced bigot. Pray tell, who are the "you guys" in your statement above and where did I ever tell you what my religion is? dolo
Is it not obvious the group I am referring to? If you belong to the group, the I am talking to you. |
People like Wadeoye amaze me with their holier than thou attitude, coupled with misplaced outrage. Your political leaders are robbing you, your family, your unborn children and grand children, blind, on a daily basis, but you do not show outrage, but you are outraged about tithe payers and their faith. Charity begins at home, before you become your tithe paying "brothers' keeper", why don't you keep your family and your unborn children and grand children, by directing your outrage to your thieving representatives and governor? mumu
Political leaders are robbing us, yes but must pastors add their own to the already terrible situation? Places of worship should be a place where politicians and of course the citizens get moral teachings that will turn them away from their evil ways. But now that pastors have joined the fray and now compteting with politicians, where will the innocent christians get moral education that will sustain our today and tomorrow? We fight the politicians daily but instead of you to join in fighting, you are adding to the problem. It is either christians bring religion into politics or decide to pray (lazy approach to solving problem) even when physical action is required. You guys are too lazily passive and becoming a clog in the wheel of progress of the country. |
wesley80: Apologies sir, I was guilty of assuming literacy means more than ability to read and write. Obviously, I was wrong. No vex bros.Sincerely a brainwashed monkey is smarter that you... |
wesley80: The problem with you and others on this thread is your warped sense of interpretation of what 'faith' is. Your perverted understanding of what religion actually entails is the reason you guys find it impossible to understand "relative luxury" as a way of serving God. I wonder why you guys dont dissipate energy in criticizing Christians for burying their dead in "relative luxury" when your mode of burial is to roll the dead into a mat and bury before sunset! Why dont we bury our dead as modestly as you do? Have you guys ever stopped to think about it?What is the sense in the above? "relative luxury"... What does that mean? How has jet acquisition becomes relative luxury? When has acquisition of limo become relative luxury? So, every christian must have private jet to be able to have the "relative luxury" required to worship God? You are thinking with your anus... Does christianity removes followers brain and forget to put something back there? |
Would one of you posters explain to me why you are bothered by the actions of people who you do not know or whose faith you do not share? Matters of faith is between individuals and their God, what business of yours is it how people of faith or other religious practitioners use their money? If I decide to pay tithe to my church and do not care how the tithe is used or decide to marry 4 wives as Moslems do with the consent of all the wives, who da heck are you to question that? Please explain your motives for wanting to cause yourselves to suffer heart attacks from the high cholesterol levels in the blood vessels of strangers. This behavior seems like that of insecure and insane people.
No evil man - just to wake you up from your slumber. We can't fold our arms and watch our brothers being swindled in the name of miracle and prosperity. As someone said, the richest man in Africa is a muslim - Islam doesnt believe in all these prosperity through miracle as Nigerian christians want the world to belief. And you talked about tithe. Have you ever asked yourself why you pay tithe? Is the money for God or to be used for charity and help the needy? If it is for the later, why are the pastors (the prosperity preachers) turn this into their personal money and use the money to buy jets, cars, and things of the world that will end in the world. That man Dangote, worked with other people to rase N2.5B for flood victims. He has not claimed to be man of God like your pastors will claim. Tell me, who God will see as his man? Your pastors who are driven by love for money and cheating people and now collaborating with politicians to deepen corruption in the country? Or Dangote, who apart from working hard for his money and creating employment for people, he is now raising money for the needy? I know what your response will be - pastors are as corrupt in mind as their followers. Everybody lookig for shortcut to money - it doesnt matter how the money come and from where - all is God's blessing. |
honeric01: In my foolishness, i am wiser and more sensible than you.You will see that those church goers are as corrupt as their leaders. What do you expect? People go to churches in search of prosperity of course, nothing more. That is why it is all about miracle, God gave him, God did this, God did that. |
NLC should just shut up their coward mouths. When the time comes, Nigerians will decide what to do without NLC involvement. |
Sure the guy will give his pastor part of the loot as well to show appreciation for his unrelenting properity prayers. You know, you can't give testimony that you have made money without dropping something for the church. |
Nuezha: It all bothers on belief:Na lie be that - "unusual & unexpected call". There is nothing like that - what you work for is what you get. It is only a lazy and a man who has defeated himself that will belief in that trash. Work hard and you will get there - spend time to listen to Obama speech to his country men and women. The watch word has always been hard work. It is only in the jungle that a spirit can initiate success without you working for it - you guys should stop all these trash. There are billions of people in the world who are doing great - are they all christians? And the richest of people on earth planned and worked hard to earn their money. |
I would be happy to be at the church when the revolution will start. Problem is, 90% of the church goers abi tithe payers will not come to nairaland to read our post, so how do you pass the message ??
Majority of the followers are as corrupt as their pastors - they are all looking for shortcut to wealth/properity in the name of miracle. |
Igbos again... May be a campaign should begin to stop employing Igbos in South Western states. And any unemployed Igbo should go back to his state or face forced deportation. |
The man is investing on behalf of Biafra and her citizens. That is another good way to transform South East - Igbo Kwenu!!! |
Nigerians with the help of Save Nigerian Group made it possible for GEJ to be named acting president. If he thinks it was due to the prayers of those lazy shortcut seeking loud mouths that sit on the their ass looking for people to collect money from, then I pity him. |
truth4meal: Something tells me this impending revolution will start from the church -Na lie, nothing will start from the church. How will brainwashed followers instigate any revolution? We have heard them on social network - all they would say is touch not my annointed. They keep dancing every Sundays and dancing while the country crumbles. |
Imagine a media chat organised by Doyin Okupe (the fraud) for Jona... |
ubong560: Dat shld b a BIG LIE. If honesty is to prevail, Nigeria shld b 140th out of 140th (LAST). Dont u tink so?The report is not far from the truth if you have been to some of the countries in the report. ? Now, should Nigeria rank 120 out 140 with all the resources at our disposal? The answer is NOOOOOOO. Check the report and see most of the oil producing countries. All the countries below Nigeria dont have the kind of resources we have got here. Nigeria is failed state... |

magic cheche: We are watching. I so regret ever casting my vote for Jonathan. When people allow bigotry to reduce their brain capacity to that of a sheep, this is what happens. We saw all these and we warned you guys. |
Many are only interested in attacking the President and not to analyse the propriety of his actions.
Shut up your stinging stupidity filled mouth... |
Iaz93: ...but this subsidy removal may be the key to greatest oOhYou are a slowpoke. Can you highlight what has changed in your life since N33 was added on top of N64 at the beginning of the year? |
chioma134: I have noticed a recurring trend in nairaland.Show me two true churches and men of God in Lagos for example... Who hates christians? Nobody of course just that you are making the whole practice look ungodly - like paganism. How much moral values are followers getting from going to churches in Nigeria? Of course none - it is all about prosperity, etc. |
chief batiatus: Please we christians should put a stop to this public discussion of our faith, have you people ever seen any muslim discussing whatever they are doing wrongly here on nairaland? No wonder christians get bombed and killed, we want to show we are liberal and civilised among primitive people abi? Please moderator off this thread otherwise some christians will take it personal like their brothers use to do.Look at this truth hater... You want to die in deceipt - go ahead. |
Don't know about everybody else but the Nigerian Church lost its purpose for me the day one pastor stood on the pulpit and and thought it was okay to tell this story.... So apparently the church has been trying to acquire its own building (Have you noticed Naija churches are always in the middle of one building fund gimmick or the other...wassup with that? ) Anyhoo, they have been collecting money since January and they haven't even gotten to the half way point (No surprise. . considering the state of the Economy). One day one of the parishioners a young widow whose children are still in Nigeria was having an after service conversation with the pastor and she just happened to mention to him how much she's saved for the tickets to bring her children over and this wicked man tells her to donate the money towards the building fund. . .oh wait, I didn't get that right, he told her God told him to tell her to donate the money towards the building fund (let's just ignore the fact that "God" did not instruct him before the woman told him how much she had. Yes, Yes I know it's hard to ignore but we will just pretend okay.) Like any normal human being whose brains have not turned to mush from lack of use, she balked...she was like "Ah pastor, not this money oh" so of course she didn't. The moral of his story is that if something bad happens to her now, she will forget when she didn't heed the voice of the Lord. Of course now it goes without saying that deep down, he will be hoping something bad happens to her just to prove his point. If this is not evil I don't know what is. . .and this is the man I am supposed to shout Amen to his prayers? I don't think so!! Can you imagine how long that poor woman woulda been working, probably taking all sorts of jobs to make enough money so she can be reunited with her kids? If the church wasn't so upside down shouldn't it be a refuge for the oppress. . .a place where people like her can go for respite, shouldn't the church, who is all about love and family, try help this woman bring her broken family together?! Seriously, look at the way your church treats the poor, the orphans, the widowed, the elderly, the weak and it will tell you if they are truly serving their purpose (Please don't mention the one one bag of rice they dash them once a year. . .even devil worshipers can afford to do that, so that's not impressive). Worse than the total disregard they have for the weak, hopeless and helpless among us is the way these churches are making people hard hearted to people's suffering. After this wicked pastor finished his story, see the congregation tsk tsking away like he just told them she stole money from the vestry and when he said if something bad happens to her now, she won't remember how she didn't heed God's voice. . .these sheeples actually crowed in agreement. I swear I might as well have been in the middle of a witch and wizard's coven with the way these people were relishing the thought of something bad happening to this poor woman. You know, on second thoughts. . .I'll have to disagree that the Nigerian church has lost his purpose. We say that only because we still think the purpose of the church is to do God's work when it is obvious it is actually to pave the way for the devil to enter people's hearts and on that. . .they are doing a FANTASTIC job.
I saw a quote somewhere..."The closer you are to the church, the farther you are from God". |
hotwax: When prophet dauda A̶̲̥̅.k.A̶̲̥̅ king David found Jerusalem. There was no language called "arabic" then.Look at this man... And how does that change the fact that there are more muslims in Isreal than Christians? Christian population about 10% or less even in Jerusalem. Or, is Judaism now Christianity? |
