A friend who works with HERITAGE BANK told me that they've been getting half of their pay since last month as instructed by the bank. All staff across board had their salaries slashed into half, is either you take it or you resign. The bank took the decision so as not to sack anybody and so as to stay afloat.
Heritage bank which is basically into commercial banking have been struggling to keep their books in check since the implementation of the TSA. Yeah it's the beginning of real thing in the country. The country is about to take shape and take off. Instead many years of self disillusion. flamingREED: See who the elects are:
John 1 12 But as many as RECEIVED him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Romans 6 22 But now BEING MADE FREE FROM SIN, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
THEY'RE CHRISTLIKE: Colossians 3 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
An elect is whoever receives Christ and finishes the race well.
It's no body's title in particular: It's an open probability To WHOSOEVER WILL:
Revelation 22 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And WHOSOEVER WILL, let him take the water of life freely. But did you become all these when you got into this world. It is by the GRACE you are saved let no one boast. I am sure if you are Jesus, you will not even like to talk to Saul of tarsus let alone saving him. Hear him: 1 Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. |

This is why Jesus was sent. You can see when he came he was not in the good book of religious people. A lot is wrong with us no doubt. Let me tell verily that forces of prophecy, events and destiny rules the world as the Bible made it clear. Yet we are free to make our choices and whatever we make as choices becomes our destiny. Religion were truly presented to us to help us yet we have our choices to make like any free will being. The devil may have special interests in us yet choices are there for us to decide to partner with him or rejects his offer. We were victims of so many misfortune yet we were not alone. If other could free themselves why couldnt we. The missionaries came stopped killing of twins, introduced education, stopped war, stopped human rituals etc. paid supreme price. whatever is their shortcoming yet they are not expected to be perfect. I wonder why we couldn't perfect their imperfections since more than fifty years of departure. to me it is an height of mediocrity to put blame on anybody because we have our choices to make. |

Politics › Re: Bankers Vs Politicians: Which One Is More Corrupt? by waldigit: 4:58pm On Aug 27, 2016 |
Wadeoye: The recent events have revealed unprecedented corruption by Nigerian politicians and their appointees. We have seen trillions of naira been looted unashamedly by our so called political leaders and in the process leaving the country in distress - no infrastructure, not health facility, no power, etc.
Interestingly, we have also seen how bankers (our Harvard trained financial professionals) have collaborated with politicians to short-change the country. We can talk about cases of money laundering, packaging of fraud as legitimate transactions, hiding of government money in secret accounts.
Recently, a shocking revelation emanated from NPA that about N11.23B was kept away from government in some banks. This despite directive from FG that all government revenue must be remitted to TSA - it is running to a year now FG gave this directive. A number of these thieving banks still refuse to declare or remit to government the fund in their care in flagrant violation of FG's directive. This is not only unfortunately but also criminal for any bank not to declare revenue it collected on behalf of government. This is pure stealing by our Harvard trained bankers.
http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/208530-alleged-n11-23billion-fraud-uncovered-npa-three-banks-fingered.html
As if that was not enough, close to $2.3B of NNPC fund was traced to hidden accounts in some banks this week.
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/08/list-of-nine-banks-barred-from-forex-transactions-by-central-bank-of-nigeria/
With these revelations, the usual currency round tripping and many other money laundering activities of our banks, I am beginning to think bankers are more corrupt than politicians and that without the active connivance and technical advice from bankers on how to hide, launder, etc, politicians wouldn't have been able to bring the country down on its knees.
I therefore call on EFCC to beam a strong searchlight on the banking industry. If need be, the industry should be "fumigated" so we have only the sane ones in that industry even if they are locally trained. They are partners in corruption |

IHate9ja1: It is my wish the Mods would move this to the front page. Less than a hour ago i stumbled on this; "Don't marry a man who has no job. Before God gave Adam Eve, he gave him a job. He said this is the garden, keep it. So those who come to you and say sister, thus saith the lord, you are going to be the star in my firmament, ask him what is his job. If he tells you he is a contractor, ask him to show you evidence of all the contracts he has done because the contract he is talking about is you. He wants to live off you. Don't be a fool. If he hasn't got a steady income, don't marry him. A man is to provide for the house and not the other way round. If he has no income, he should not marry. Those who do not work should not eat and if they can't eat, they can't even marry" he said. https://www.nairaland.com/3264793/dont-marry-man-doesnt-job
While what he said was nothing but the truth, its so hilarious which is why the question i would love to ask Baba should i have the opportunity to meet him one on one is,with the whole situation of employment what has the RCCG done to particularly address this issue? I attend kings palace rivers province 2 Gra port harcourt towards the end of last year they demanded a sum of 45million naira for the complete overhaul of the church air conditioning unit....people raised this cash, this year last month precisely the church needed 15million for wireless technology equipment for the multimedia department...didnt know how far the donation went as i dont attend church regularly because of distance. This last sunday they needed 2.8million for the childrens camp program...all were donated. My question is when has RCCG organized or create a worldwide convention to @least create a network for job creation/employment/empowerment? . How many times have they asked for donation with such huge amount to empower the teaming youth with good business ideas, scholarship abroad or equipment and machinery for small scale business? Many of the members even contributed money to build a university they cant afford to send their kids to? God is watching, the real people who are a practical example of christians in Nigeria are the Jehovah witness. Back in the early days in my village, you would see anglican and methodist churches with schools and health care centres for FREE but to have one on one encounter with Baba Adeboye on his annual visit to ph on the partnering with God program you need to purchase an access invitation card of 20k.... To see a man of God can you imagine. Why are our pastors rich and the majority of the congregation are poor? Something isnt right....it is well with my soul but the church has a more bigger role to play to curb/ even bring to an end the massive poverty in our society or else they would soon become victims of kidnapping...its already happening anyway. There is nothing wrong in what the MOG said. Pinky it can be taken out of context in a poverty mentality socio-economic environment such as ours. Many could take this to mean marrying a wealthy man. I believe the right context should be don't marry lazy man. If we say someone must have steady income, what of a young entrepreneurs or professional who started business and still at incubation stage, the income may not be stable but may improve with time. Anyway not everyone knows what it takes to live without salary. hence their idea of steady income is always salary. |

HardMirror: I am shocked at the hypocrisy and lack of faith of Christians!
I have discovered beyond doubt that Christians actually don't Believe in God!
A girl had leukemia and the dad refused to follow the doctors recommendation, instead he kept his daughter at home and was believing God's report that his daughter was healed. The daughter died and everyone came for his head. Even Christians said he was a fool.
A fool for what? For believing God? For trusting God?
A pastor dies and his pastor brother and family starts praying for his resurrection. Christians on nairaland called them fools, said he is dead and can't return. What?! Can't God raise the Dead? Did the dead bones of Elisha not raise a dead man? How much more the name of the Living Jesus Christ! Can't it raise the dead?
A man was bitten by a snake in Idu-Osun, Osun state some 10years ago. He insisted on staying in Church and praying. He died after about 6 hours in the church. I recall how everyone, including me (I was a christian then) called the man a fool. Said he was testing God? So trusting God has become testing God?
Why do we call people fools for trusting God? Does it mean we don't believe God can do the miraculous again?
What would be a pastors reaction if a BEHEADED person is brought to his church and he is asked to pray for the dead person to come to life?
Do we truely believe God or just playing along just in case God exists?
Makes me wonder... When God does what we desire, nobody out of his way to raise alarm. Sun rises and set everyday nobody cares to sho goes ut in the street. We merely take these things for granted, but the moment it doesn't turn the way we want we begin to harass God. What about all the claims of miracles. What about the dead of 7 days who came back to live. There was no official street demonstration to publicize. but the moment someone died despite prayer, or attempt to resurrect someone fails hell is let loose with name calling against God.
