montestic:You see that is the level of decadence the society has fallen in its value system. Women of easy virtue too are sermonizing on political issues... Humm, the general has a lot of sanitiziing to do. God help us. |
Dawinlove:This man can only help by leading the woman to true and matured believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the only one that can deliver from demon possession Pls he should not be involved in this fight himself moreso that he is not married yet to this lady and if he is not born again and spirit filled. He should not ever try to get help from else where outside Jesus because the consequence will be great. |

Obinoscopy:I can tell you authoritatively that this is another white elephant project. As a consultant in development, I challenge the relevant agencies to make public the housing survey carried out to identify the housing need in this study area. What is informing this implementation. What is housing need in Abuja (qualitative and quantitative) and how much of this need is this particular project taking care of. What are the project evaluation conducted on alternative course of actions from such problem survey. What has informed the choice of site selection vis - a-vis the distribution of housing need in the country. All these and many more questions are what must be presented to the members of the public and be subject to their approval in a process known 'public participation in planning' Nigerians it high time we begin to demand good governance form the public office holders. |

Jesus and the Rich Luke 18 18 ¶ And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? Mt 19:16; Mr 10:17 19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. 20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother. 21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up. 22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. Mt 6:19-20; 19:21; 1Ti 6:19 23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. 24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! Pr 11:28; Mt 19:23; Mr 10:23 25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 26 And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved? 27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. Jer 32:17; Zec 8:6; Mt 19:26; Lu 1:37 Jesus and Tithe Mt 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. {anise: Gr. dill} Lu 11:42 But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone Jesus and Giving Luke 6:38 38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Conclusion Money Versus Value Money is a store of value Money is a means and not an end Money is a facilitator of ends achievement Money cannot achieve ends alone, it must be combined with other factors such as human resources to achieve ends. VALUE can be created without money. e.g the world was created without money. wild life and vegetation are regenerated without money and human intervention. MONEY cannot be created without VALUE Money mentioned in 118 times in KJV version of old testament scripture. Money mentioned only 22 times in KJV new testament scripture In John 6: 7 Philip focused on money as a means to an end (VALUE). While in John 6:10 Jesus focus on virtue of faith (VALUE) Money must be scarce to avoid it losing its ability to store value Money is not a perfect store of value Value is a function of perception of individual and varies from person to person. Money is not an absolute store of value, but a relative store of value. Recommendations Church organization doesn’t have to over-depend on money before they can create value. This is because of the number of human resources at their disposal. Individual strength of members should not be assessed or equated to financial ability. Low net worth individuals may be weak financially but may be strong in other valuable aspect of life. Human resources constitute major part of the church asset, which can be accessed freely or cheaply by their members. This is demonstrated by the Lord Jesus Christ when he was about to feed about five thousand men, Individuals who do not have cash may be in possession of skill or materials needed by the church which they are willing to give, but if the church insists on money it denies the congregation the opportunity to give. After all the instruction in Luke 6:38 says GIVE, with no emphasis laid on money. Economically, speaking money in circulation is always fewer than value in existence. Emphasis on money by the church will rob the church the ability to create value to full capacity. |

Jesus and Standard of Payment Matthew 17:24-27 24 ¶ And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute? {tribute: called in the original, didrachma, being in value fifteen pence sterling; about thirty seven cents} Ex 30:13; 38:26; Mr 9:33 25 He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? 26 Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free 27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee. {a piece...: or, a stater: it is half an ounce of silver, in value two shillings and six pence, sterling; about fifty five cents} Jesus and Investment Lu 12:48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. Lu 19:15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. {money: Gr. silver} Jesus and Divine Provision of Money Mark 6:7-13 7 ¶ And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits; 8 And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse: {money: the word signifieth a piece of brass money, in value somewhat less than a farthing, but here it is taken in general for money} 9 But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats. Ac 12:8 Luke 9:3 3 And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece. Jesus and Commercialization of Churches John 2:13-16 13 And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem, Ex 12:14; De 16:1,16; John 2:23; 5:1; 6:4; 11:55 14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: Mt 21:12; Mr 11:15; Lu 19:45 15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; 16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house a house of merchandise. Lu 2:49 Jesus and Church Hospitality John 6:5- 5 When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? 6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do. 7 Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little. 8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him, 9 There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many? 10 And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. 11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. 12 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost 13 Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten. 14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world. 15 ¶ When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone. |
TOKYO (AP) — A Japanese space explorer took off Wednesday on a six-year journey to blow a crater in a remote asteroid and bring back rock samples in hopes of gathering clues to the origin of Earth. The explorer, named Hayabusa2, is expected to reach the asteroid in mid-2018, spend about 18 months studying it and return in late 2020. A small device will separate from the explorer and shoot a projectile to blast open a crater a few meters (several feet) in diameter. The explorer, which will hide behind the asteroid during the blast, will then try to collect material from inside the crater. Asteroids can provide evidence not available on Earth about the birth of the solar system and its evolution. JAXA, Japan's space agency, said the research could help explain the origin of seawater and how the planet earth was formed. Hayabusa2 will attempt to expand on the work of Hayabusa, a previous explorer that returned in 2010 after collecting material from the surface of another asteroid. By reaching inside an asteroid this time, the new explorer may recover material that is not as weathered by the space environment and heat. The earlier mission was plagued by mechanical failures and other problems. JAXA hopes improvements since then will make this trip smoother. "The mission was completed one way or another, but we stumbled along the way," said Akitaka Kishi of JAXA's lunar and planetary exploration program. "To travel there and bring back something is extremely difficult." Hayabusa2, which was launched from Tanegashima Space Center in southern Japan, is a rectangular unit with two sets of solar panels sticking out from its sides. |

An2elect2:The Pope knows more about Islam than we do. I want to believe he knows what he's doing. If he is sincerely doing this for the sake of love and peace time will tell. But there is a prophecy in Rev. 17 and 18. I rest my case. |
Weah96:Instead for our lousy researchers move in and commence research that get us a break through and earn us respect in the international community, they will prefer to sit in their poorly built office and run mouth commentary. Don't we have relevant profs from uniben who should show interest. This generation of black race need serious deliverance |
neuljosh:More reason why we need to stand up and demand our leader to develop our country. Don't let us live in self denial it is better to school there than in Nigeria. I have pple there who are even doing doctorate. Remember, this the country that came to get palm oil from nigeria and used it to develop their economy. Remember again they are one of the leading emerging economy. Join any group from malaysia on facebook to get more insight on their level dev. We should be ashamed of ourselves. But its not too late and better late than never. |
My take on tithe things is this. There is nothing bad about Tithing even if we all agree to it being scriptural or not, since it is part of giving. The law of seed and harvest is universal. The bible promised that believers will lend to nation but today we see pple who are giving to nations. Bill Ghates, Mark of facebook etc. The real issue is the way we develop rich christian empire in a poor and retrogressing country. If the church want to earn enough respect we need to go back to the vision of missionary that brought faith to us. Men of God need to show modesty in fragrance display of their wealth in the public by being conscious that there is so much poverty around them. Apostle Paul stressed this point 1Corinth.10:23-24 Church need to focus on societal wealth instead individual wealth. Infact church should take over the social work from this disaster we call government. This is the way our righteousness can be more than that of pharisees. We should be conscious that unbelivers are building better country than ours, this should be our challenge in Nigeria if we as church want to remain relevant. |
MabraO:If you are one of the pple who did this, just go and read jeremiah 17 vs 11. But you can still repent to get lesser punishment at lest escape hell fire! |
holatin:And this prayer God has answered several years ago but... Save for this disaster we call government! The Lord that will deliver me totally. I am not selfish o but I am not sure whether every black skinned pple are ready for total deliverance. |

The elements of any valid contract are offer, acceptance, consideration (price or sacrifice) All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. This statement entails all coming under a covenant that is not God's covenant, through SIN. As long as you remain in this covenant GOD CANNOT help you. The best you can get from God is the grace that will sustain you until you realise and accept his offer for His own covenant. Many comes up with logic that can't God save the world on "as is" basis? why did He went through painstaking process of salvation plan i.e sending His son to die to save the world. John 3:16. Thinking this way suggests that God uses His sovereignity to draw man out of the mess he got himself into, not even minding, whether man himself is willing to be saved or not. This to seems like giving POISON to God to drink. The same way natural man has sinful nature so also GOD has holy nature which makes it impossible for him to engage in impunity to excercise his sovereignity. In a normal democracy there are procedures on how president execute power of prerogative of mercy on the advice of judiciary.Similarly God cannot use His sovereignity in an unethical way of saving unwilling offender from a convenant he has willingly entered into.I know some men of integrity who would not do this as well, let alone GOD. Romans 8:1-3 announce us that born again people operates under new covenant of the law of spirit. When you get born again, you become a new creature by getting a new spirit. The devil has a covenant through sin with old spirit, soul and body. But with a new spirit now, he has no grip on your spirit man again. But, wait a minute, it is still old soul and body. So the connection to the old covenant still continues.Hence you are still subject to the lust of the flesh and evil imagination from your soul. So how can we totally liberate ourself- spirit, soul and body from the old convenant as Paul cries in Romans 7:23-25 "23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin, which is in my members (soul and body). 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin." From the above we can see it is through the Christ we can be free from the law of sin- the old covenant. So then what are the process that will take us to this level of perfection? Galatians 5:16 Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fufill the lust of the flesh. This is clear enough information. So. How do we start. SALVATION-first we get saved to get the new spirit. John 3:16, John 3:3. At this point we get the new spirit in a spiritual operation known as REGENERATION. Ezekiel 36:25-26 HOLY GHOST BAPTISM-then we make sure that we receive the power of Holy Spirit. He will become our ally to move on through the other stages. DELIVERANCE- then we get our soul and body delivered from the terms and conditions of the old covenant. This involves identifying areas of where we may still be under the old covenant. It may be the ancestral and family inherited ones or the one we directly entered into either consciously or otherwise. We renounce this contract citing the relevant section of the most superior covenant of the blood of Jesus that has empowered us to do this. Romans 8:1,2. 1. There is therefore now no condemnation to those which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2.For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. JUSTIFICATION- move on to justification by manifesting the fruit of the spirit. This involves identification of your weaknesses. With prayer and fasting commence spiritual warfare to supress these areas. SANCTIFICATION It also involves identification of our strenght areas and preparing to build ministry out of it. be it talent, skill, training etc. Thus we begin manifesting the gift of the spirit via these minstries. |
1. They buy big houses in luxurious neighbourhood having boundary with slum and serviced by traffic congested highways, epileptic power supply, polluted underground water supply, all located in an aesthetically displeasing town and cities. 2.They buy luxurious automobiles, that ply on pot holed, rugged, water logged and highly congested road, and which can't be maintained because of absence of spare parts and technician locally. 3. They buy stock and shares in commodity based non-sustainable oil dependent economy. 4. They buy real estate in stable and well managed economy where they are either foreigner or at best second class citizen. The list is open, you can add others...... Hum!, Primitive accumulation of wealth!!! But, this is the verdict: "As the partridge sitteth on eggs and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool" Jeremiah 17:11 |
PastorKun:Hearing this for the 1st time. Any way thanks for the info. I will check to confirm. But there is one thing todays church omitted in law of giving which is a great error. That is the law of proportion.- to whom much is giving much is expected. 10percent to a rich man is not the same as 10percent to a low income person. The widow in the temple brought all, but the rich brought from many. The widow is the best giver because she gave all. But today it is the law of absolute that is the operation. Fixed charges are levied on churches irrespective of the ability to pay. Well may God Help us |

frosbel:I understand very well that emphasis on tithe has been high jacked very well in todays church for personal benefit. But the question arises again are, if nobody is on full time in Gods business will not affect our mandate to take the gospel to all nations before the end shall come? Then if some pple hav to be in it on full time basis, how do we renumerate such pple without paying tithe. NB Jesus created treasury dpt. In His ministry ably manned by Judas |

plaetton:If you reject the love of the Father (Jesus), you chose your fate. You stopped the Father from loving you hence He cannot help. This same way you can't help your daughter once her mind is made up to become whatever she wants. Let me tell you there are things God cannot do. He cannot lie. He cannot sin. Its against His deity nature. |
Why are still looking for the living among the dead? Well, I don't blame you. If only you have ever had personal encounter with Him, the way I had, you would not be embarking on this unnecessary fretting of the spirit? |

frustratedman:Why are you in hurry to die since you will eventually die. My line of advice if you are in Lagos, its time to leave for a better less urbanized town. When you get there try use your hand on farming. That is where we all got it wrong. Them it shall be well with you. |
