PENMIGHT:All you agbada wearing, black ass "Sherlock Holmes" screaming blue murder cos of one insignia on the inside of the table leg. What makes u think it couldn't have been inscribed there by the manufacturer, except of course you are the said manufacturer. Also I find it a stark contradiction for a supposed murderer who left a signature to also do so much to disguise the crime scene of a murder to very much look like a suicide. You do not get such a message from a supposed agent that you have just contracted HIV and your reaction would be to type one lame 'OMG' in response the very next couple of seconds. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Nigerian President Or King Of The North?, By Femi Fani-kayode by waledud(m): 7:35pm On Sep 01, 2015 |
I feel quite compelled to agree with FFK for the first time in a long while on this one. The skewness of the distribution of this appointments so far is worrisome no matter the argument you put forward in its defense. The Nigerian history, mix, coupled with the diversities, cleavages or whatever other variant of the Nigerian stereotypical peculiarities are just still too accentuated to accommodate such obvious asymmetry of the North-South power equation. Let's face it, because of our past experience we still hang on to certain regional sensitivities especially when it comes to political dealings. Maybe with time we may be able leap past it, but for now that mutually-assured political suspicion is still very much etched in our collective psyche and any wise leader should take this into account at any given instance in governance of this highly beleaguered group of people. |
Romance / Re: Nigerians Don't Care About Flat Stomachs? by waledud(m): 7:56pm On Aug 13, 2015 |
It's amazing how a whole bunch of peeps on here kept referring to 'tummy' as 'stomach'. The op even went ahead to pluralise d poor organ as if she has many in her life..except u are surgeon or a butcher/boko har*m, am almost certain u haven't seen a human stomach before. So bae what is usually flat or protruded, as the case may be, is the tummy or abdomen (ab 4 short). The stomach is the sack-like organ deep inside d tummy..its primary function is to store undigested food. 1 Like 1 Share |
Education / Re: Can You Solve These Questions? (pics) by waledud(m): 7:40am On Jul 25, 2015 |
30 is an even number and all of the given numbers in that pool are odd. When u add 2 odd numbers u get an even number but when u add 3 odd number u are back to another odd number. So it is impossible to get 30 from the addition of any three of those numbers or indeed their repititons. Simple mathematical theory |

This Barcanista sef own too much. Must he raise a counter thread for everything that is reported that Baba did or didn't do? Imagine the amount of time it would require to surf for latest info on the president and his party, read and digest them with d motive of picking out faux paux - real or imagined, doing a whole lot of lopsided academic research on the subject, writing a neat but bias rejoinder with references, posting it here, and then finally wait online 24-7 for replies with the aim of shooting down any counter narrative. The cycle is then repeated. This is the obvious life of the most famous troll of anything Buhari online. I am sure he must get enough remuneration for this apparent arduous full-time job. I only just hope he doesn't get hypertension on the job o, cos this job sure takes its toll on physical and emotional well-being o. |

Why would the NDLEA in the 1st place attempt to arrest this man without fulfilling d proper requirements of the law. Somebody dat was smart enough to evade the almost all-seeing eyes of the US security agencies is not one dat could easily be caught napping and allow himself to be so easily bundled away without a fight. More so, in a country like Naija where we still have a long way to go in the area of criminal jurisprudence, u can be sure dat very astute lawyers would do all dey can to drown u in all manners of technicalities if u go out to battle with them without adequate preparation. I would have expected dat dey secure a warrant b4 even showing up at his doorstep. |

revolt:I am grateful u were quick to point out d fact dat excesssive budgetary outlay on recurrent expenditure is d culprit here (though I believe it's only part of d problem), but ur insinuation dat govt needs 2 generate more income in other to meet up wit this obligation hence d removal of subsidy is untenable. Ur loopsided attempt to exculpate d present govt in dis situation is baffling, to say d least. Wat has the govt done in its 6yrs to prune down d so called bogus salaries and wages of govt electees and appointees? Why hasn't dis govt carried out a comprehensive reform of d civil service wit the view to making it more productive, reducing it size and cost of maintenance, and making it more efficient? What has become of d monies accrued to d govt from d partial removal of subsidies in d past 4yrs? Sure-P is a complete scam. The truth of d matter is dat dis govt is incompetent. How can u say dat a nation dat has one of d largest deposit of crude oil in d world be paying so much 4 it? Why can't d govt make our refineries work? Why can't d govt see thru any of those so called beautiful action plans and blueprints in 6yrs, and we find ourselves still chasing shadows at every full cycle of an administration? Too many question. I just tire |

kingthreat: Ese Walter, the talentless model, singer, rapper who tried to gain easy fame by bringing down a pastor throught the help of social media. Now she's writing a letter to the Lord for us all to know. Letters to Jesus should be personal and in the form of prayer not for all to see. We don't want to know your prayers, we don't want to know how many other men you have slept with. There are better ways to fame by diligence not trying to expose ur weird personal life to the world. Try and get psychological help Ese as soon as possible. You need it.Don't agree she's talentless. She writes pretty damn well. 1 Like |

kenifeh: This is the state of the Nigeria educational system. People should learn to read and understand before talking anyhow in public forums. Wole Soyinka was referring to the rich resource endowment of the Niger-Delta, and he never called Patience Jonathan a hippopotamus. Read the context in which that statement was made. He was indirectly saying that oil, which is the main issue causing the crises, is not the only rich resource of the region. People should look into the waters for solution, "the kingdom of God is within and around us".hmmmm..Oga lecturer, it is you that doesn't understand a word of what the highly cerebral prof was saying. Am sure if he read what you posted above, he'll just go into a fit of grins and chuckles. That 'hippo' allegory was actually a jab to PEJ's jaw in a way that the comical 'invisible man' would have dealt with an avowed villain. So Oga, it is you who shud go add to your language-deciphering skill. |

PEJ has hitherto effortlessly proven that she is a perfect exemplar of why it is very dangerous to place absolute powers in the rein of a Nigerian woman. What with all this arrogant missteps and thuggish misdemeanour all over the place. While her husband is doing a good job in fast becoming a civilian despot, she is doing her best to rival him as a tactless bully. The way she throws her weight all about dis days makes mince meat of the regrettable misadventure of Turai during the sit-tight era of the ailing Yar'Adua. Regrettably, it was the likes of the renown Prof, whom she now sees as a gum to chew in her unwashed mouth, that spoke out against the order of those days, ironically in favour of her husband who soon became the acting president. Now that she's in that same position, she's doing her best to outdo Turai in that mission of misuse of their seemingly unconstitutional powers. My advice for her as regards this specific battle of pen that she wants to engage in with the master of pen himself is a simple extract from a work of another master himself, William Shakespeare when he penned this words in his book 'King Leah': "As flies are to wanton boys are we to the gods; they kill us for their sports". But then the chances that those words would be discernible to her are somewhere very near to ZERO. 1 Like 1 Share |

Very true. I also served in okposi and I have a most vivid recollection of how those people use to rever and pay homage to these creatures whenever they approach. They are all over the place and I believe that a combination of the importance accorded them plus some evolutionary machination must have made these reptile achieve the level of domesticity that they enjoy. I mean they are as domestic as lizards. Before my service year I use to shudder to think of the idea of coming face to face with a snake but as at the time I was leaving okposi I tell you I would sit on an arm-chair in front of my house, sipping palmie, while a horde of snakes stride gingerly along the verandah. 2 Likes |
