DeepSight: Haba. 1979 - 1983 was actually a little over four years. Also, the 1st republic lasted well over four years.
No worries my man, just glad to see there is a humble bone in your body after all.
Doesn't change the fact that leaders were elected then. was both the president and the vice from the same region? Did they complete their tenure and power failed to rotate to the South? |
Politics › Re: Past & Present Heads Of State Of Nigeria By Geo-political Zone by Walkee: 9:17pm On Jan 31, 2022 |
DeepSight: I hear you sa. But please sha note that -
- 1. There is nothing, and there has never been anything like "both executive heads of state" in Nigeria in any dispensation, contrary to what you wrote. - 2. There was selection of leaders in this country by votes before 1999, contrary to what you wrote.
Thank you sa. selection of leaders that never lasted 4 years? If the Shagari administration had succeeded then we would have seen if power would have come to the south, with a northerner as VP or not. Since none of these administrations even completed one full tenure it does not even make sense to include them in an argument about who dominated whom. The two executive heads was definitely a mistake but it is not even relevant in this discourse, just a wrong lexical item which doesn't distort the my point. What I mean is the head of the executive branch and his vice. Don't even bring 1960 election into this argument (not that it changes anything) but that was a completely different system of government, three years into that administration Nigeria wasn't still totally independent. |
Politics › Re: Past & Present Heads Of State Of Nigeria By Geo-political Zone by Walkee: 9:00pm On Jan 31, 2022 |
DeepSight: Ol boy you grossly misrepresented reality with what you wrote. But no worries, perhaps its just a misunderstanding. Its no matter. there's no misrepresentation of anything here. You jumped into an argument halfway without bothering to understand the context. The guy I quoted initially has gotten the memo. He believed the entire North was one ethnic group which was why he claimed they were getting undue advantage by always being in power either as president or vice. I only explained to him that president and vice cannot come from the same region, not even in the 80s. You just jumped into an argument you didn't even understand |
Politics › Re: Past & Present Heads Of State Of Nigeria By Geo-political Zone by Walkee: 8:45pm On Jan 31, 2022 |
DeepSight: Really? That's the argument? How strange. I seem to recall you suggesting that before 1999 power was taken by force:
Perhaps 1960 - 1966 and 1979 to 1983 were periods after 1999. Ah, I see, indeed, that must be the case, pardon me. You know its not easy for us mugus. do you have comprehension problem? Prior to 1999 I was clearly talking about military era. Didn't you see where I said " nobody told our generals not to be bold enough to risk their lives to take power"? The guy I was lecturing said that North has always had either president or vice since 1999 so I told him it has always been that way for both North and South. Why are you people so dumb? Those periods you mentioned up there when did the two heads of executive branch come from the same region? |

DeepSight: Even if you wish to deploy this highly suspicious and questionable argument, the 1st and 2nd Republics were prior to 199. You would still have to add Shagari to the count of the North, being a civilian democratically elected President. And there is also no reason you should not count Tafawa Balewa - he was an executive Head of the Federal Government. Thats at least an extra 10 years in favour of the North. what point are you even trying to make? When Balewa was Prime Minister, was the president not from South East? Who be this one sef? |

1. Head of Police force - North 2. Head of Army - North 3. Navy - North 4, Air Force - North 5. Supreme Court - North 6, NNPC Board - North 7 Custom North
I guess only the North has a monopoly on competent people when were you born? 2015? First of all, I'm from Edo state. You people should go and educate yourselves and stop all these nonsense. This is the reason southern politicians treat us as fools, because of people like you who know nothing. Buhari is president, he has every right to appoint anybody he likes to those positions. When a Southerner becomes president he will definitely replace them with Southerners. Go and check who were in those positions under obasanjo and Jonathan |

Kobojunkie: Please stop spewing this nonsense born if ignorance of marriage and laws in Nigeria abeg! you can point me to couples who have shared properties. Most married people in Lagos and Abuja do do court marriage and they also have some of the highest divorce rates, you can point to the rulings ordering sharing of properties. We see small small cases on Nairaland frontpage everyday how some lowlife divorces her husband because of penis size or some other inanity and we also read the judgment. You can point me to such ruling |

Kobojunkie: she spends 20 years in a marriage and walk away with absolutely nothing means she is an eejit or she is an unfortunate eejit.
Sharing of marital property has little to do with whether you have kids or not. It is when it has to do with childcare allowance that the issue of kids come into question, which is what I made clear. doing court weddings doesn't give you even the slightest chance of sharing property with your husband unless you bought it yourself and have the documents in your name. This is why I asked you the very first time if you are in Nigeria or believe you are somehow in Sweden |
Family › Re: Is My Uncle The Problem Or His Wives? by Walkee: 11:43pm On Jan 28, 2022 |
Kobojunkie: It's up the courts and based on the conditions of the union in question and the intelligence level of the individual in the marriage. Also depends on the lawyer handling the divorce case. Each marriage is different. In that same Nigeria, some women end up granted equal division of property even where no children are involved, whereas others walk away with nothing. Marriage is meant to be intelligently embarked on after all it is a sort of business agreement between a man and a woman. lmao dream on girl. example of a woman who got equal share of property because she "knew her right" by doing court marriage |
