Christianity Etc › Re: Is It A Sin To Return Empty Offering Envelope Back To The Church Offering Box? by Wallade(m): 9:18am On Aug 25, 2019 |
McXponent: Many times when you're broke and have to attend church service, of which so many believers won't go to church purposely because of that.. You were served the offering envelope by the ushers but because you have nothing on you to put into the envelope as God is your witness.. Is it right for you to return the empty envelope into the offering box like that as if something is inside to avoid shame or you rather not put it there at all or not collect the offering envelope from the ushers at first? No
So is it a sin to return it empty?
Opinions of intelligent nairalanders are needed here.. Let's learn.
#McXponent Thank you. It is not a sin provided you don't have offering to give but you were given an envelope, you can return it back to the offering bag or basket. |

mondayaudu: Haven’t you noticed that almost 90% enterpreneurs who made a mistake in business and lost their money came back stronger and become richer? Mistake happens but resilience is the answer. No one is castigating people with paid job here but the issue is that most of these workers believe their job is permanent like they own the establishment. The moment they are sacked, they go back to business unfortunately 95% of them fail at this stage because of wrong motive. Read about micro entrepreneurship, it will help you Sir. No one said he should have resign and start his own business. What we are saying is that, they are so many business he would have executed with almost zero risk but he didn’t attempt it because he is kind of visionless. It is easier said. My experiences has indicated that some people are not entrepreneurs, even if they try, they will keep failing. It is important to discover what your strength and weaknesses are to enable you plan for successful life. I am an entrepreneur but my wife struggles with it. Some of my friends can't even try it. |

GrabHisBalls: Blame your brother. I thought most of you go by the mantra "Make money and you'll marry any woman of your choice?" the moral lesson in your story is that a lady could love your money and not love you. That was exactly what played out and crashed their marriage.
Secondly, his inability to invest. If he had invested part of his salary, he won't have had reasons to fight over 200k 'cause I am sure he was giving her more than that of which she never accounted for. She realized he wasn't doing so well, so her reason for the disrespect. You and a number of ladies responded to this story like inexperienced adults or babies. Have you not seen people that invest and lost their investment. Don't you know some people can't even be entrepreneurs. You must understand that challenges are part of of life. As you grow older, you will realize that we can never really avoid challenges, we simply have to face them and manage. That is life. |

Politics › Re: “No Law Requires Me To Produce My Certificate” - Buhari To Tribunal by Wallade(m): 7:08pm On Aug 21, 2019 |
bixton: If they are learned as you say, our judicial system will not be in the mess it has been since after the war. Unfortunately, that is the challenge with law. The legal and learned persons interpret and misconstrue the laws to suit their clients or do their bidding sometimes especially where the law is vague, unspecific and not explicit. The major challenge that the President has in this case is the fact that his filing of documents and filling of form has a caveat in form of an attestation which is also tantamount to an affidavit which he signed on the form. Hence, any information or document provided by him that is proven to be false, incorrect or misleading can be used in the court of law against him. |

bixton: ...sentiments apart, certificate is not sure proof of one having attended school and seek education, ..in most instances one needs the testimonies of fellow colleagues to prove that. ....most persons attended school but left along the line.
The case against PMB was to make him provide his certificate by any means. But based on the constitution and INEC laws, for such office, one has to prove that he has received formal education to a certain level.
Technically and non, this case against PMB is a waste of time and money by the opposition. The same man Atiku aided to become president knowing fully well he does not possess a certificate and he is in turn wants to remove same person!,!!!!!
I don't see how it plays out in his favour by any means. That is your own interpretation not the opinion of the law as the learned persons interpret it. |

Jchi9876: Very true.
The constitution does not require you to attach all your credentials. It is the job of INEC to do due diligence Do you know the implications of filing documents and filling a form that has provision for attestation which is invariably swearing that all the information and documents provided by you are authentic. If those information or documents are discovered to be fake, incorrect or misleading. You are liable in the court of law. |

Messi has been consistent, especially for his club. He is not scared of leaving Barcelona FC, the challenge is that no club can afford him. If you think otherwise, inform your club to bid for Messi or they should just go and offer his release clause. Besides, he is enjoying football at Barcelona, he is paid well, well respected and appreciated. Life for his family is good in Spain so tell me what will motivate him to leave. |
