Actually, the mayor is from the opposition DA. He inherited all of Joburg's problems from 22 years of ANC misrule in the city. He could easily speak ill of the ANC instead of foreigners.

The reason he's taking this stance is because foreigners from african countries in particular agree to taking jobs that don't pay the minimum wage. That's how they are contributing to our joblessness.

Do you realise that happens everywhere around the world. It is obtainable because of the free market system. We also have foreign nationals taking jobs at cheaper rates in Nigeria but that is not enough reason to attack them. Instead, the pressure groups concerned can compel government and those employers to comply with the minimum wage.
