CrimeRe: My Husband, Saheed Hussain Stabbed Himself - Hanan BUK Law Student by Wallade(m): 11:20am On Jun 23, 2019
2loadedguy:
The problem with the Hausa/Fulani elites marriage is a simple one, while the husbands believe in the old order of things which gives the man total control, marry as many wives as possible and subdue any form of protest against his authority from the wives. The woman will always want to be liberal and have a bit of say in the home due to her education and exposure and this ultimately results in clashes that develops into domestic violence.
This situation is not common in the poor Hausa/Fulani marriages because the woman already knows her place and will not put up any form of protest against the man's wishes. So my question now is ; Is westernisation really the cause of domestic violence in the traditional African marriage?
You are spot-on with your analysis.

Over to your question: I don't think westernization is the challenge with traditional African marriages. Marriage is evolving and there are new developments, changes and dimensions to marriage every day.

We must all imbibe tolerance, civilization, patience and calmness especially when provoked. I know it is not easy but we have to try. However, if the marriage is not workable and every means to resolve amicably have been exhausted, please divorce the marriage rather than hate, harm, endanger or destroy each other and ultimately alter the life of the kids.

You must be just like him. Most likely got it from your dad
Demonize me forever because of my possible opinions, I don't care.

However, disrespecting and despising my dad because of my own (personal) opinion indicates your uncultured, mannerless and condescending personality.

You don't deserve my time and worry. I ain't gonna go down that dirty and dishonorable lane with you.

I know you lack respect for your parents but kindly extend my best regards to your Dad and Mum.

Yeah, there are cases in which men victimized the lady or wife but that does not change my opinion about this particular case. I still don't believe her story, until it is proven.

Going by the picture do u believe the man is innocent?
Guy reason am well.
Guy, do you know that man and woman performs feats when their life is genuinely threatened.

This woman can make up this story to avoid jail because her actions, whether in self defence or due to anger or revenge, can be interpreted as an attempted murder or manslaughter. She is now sane and desperately trying to avoid jail.

Despite the possibility of self defense, as claimed by the lady, I know that the bruises and swollen body parts can be made up to build her case.

Hell has no fury as much as a scorned woman.

Of course you wouldn't believe her story even with the bruises you wouldn't after all she's a woman and because of that she's automatically a liar.
Well, I was not there to witness the fight but I remember the case of the other woman (daughter of ex-CEO of Aso Savings and Loans) in Abuja who kiled her husband, when she was picked up by the police, she made up a scene and story about her husband's fall in their house that resulted to his death. She corroborated her claims with a prepared spot in their house.

If this lady stabbed her husband due to anger and suddenly realized that she could face a criminal charge, don't you think bruises and swollen face are easy to achieve in order to present her case and claim self defense.

I repeat: I am not fooled by her claims. The incident should be properly investigated by the police.

2019 election is a sham, but so is 2015. That of 2015 only seems to be credible, because the incumbent accepted defeat. Or do people think Nigerians has forgotton what happened in Kano,Lagos,Rivers,Akwa-Ibom. Jonathan let go doesn't mean the election was credible.
There is no perfect election around the world but we expect an improvement with every successive election process in comparison with the previous ones.

Do you think 2019 elections was an improvement on 2015 elections? That is the crux that we should address.

he was not invited to make a speech in the University. He did not make this speech at any University, he made it at a gathering of fellow Nigerians and one of them released it.

By certain laws, he ought to sue for that breach.
I assumed he made the speech at the University but irrespective of wherever he made the speech, I should think he is entitled to his own opinion and if your Ghanaian people or government are so much offended by his speech, the university can disengage him and the government can deport him but attempts to further subject him to inhuman treatment and detain him is unnecessary and excessive.

What is your definition of "shiiit"? Did the "shiiit" actually happen? If it did, why get offensive and react inappropriately when someone refer to the shiiit - that is his or her own opinion.

The problem of Nigeria is truly from Nigerian. I feel very sad reading what people are saying on this issue. Blaming 200million people for a crime committed by a few thousand. Why cant we just stand for ourselves on matters like this one.

We are suppose to rebuke such action from the Ghanian institution on our professor. It's very wrong to sack, interrogate and detain the professor for making a statement which is true because Nigerians contributed alot in Ghana. And if it's TRUE that Nigerian have contributed so much to the Ghanaian economy what is wrong for asking the Ghanaian authorities to help improve their welfare?

Look, I work with Ghanaians as colleagues. They shout at us and say things about Nigeria attimes but we never attack them for making statements about Nigeria. We take it as politics!

Why should they treat the professor in such an in-human manner?
That is tolerance my brother; many uncivilized humans find it difficult to comprehend the need for tolerance.

Especially in this case whereby you invited the professor to make a speech in the university and you find his speech offensive.

Ghana is a sovereign nation and every Nigerian should remember that.

Ghana has been accommodating to s lot of nonsense from Nigeria and it’s gradually getting there .
Oh shut up and get a life.

I'm against the prof, and I'm no fool

If it was tougher countries like China, he probably would be jailed and there's ABSOLUTELY NOTHING our government or ASUU will do

You know why? We have no reputation. No laws. No enforcement. Our leaders go out there to berate their own country. Our politicians steal and bring it to their own country. From kidnapping, drug peddling, terrorism, prostitution, and all atrocities, we come out tops

And you know the funny part? We condemn those who judge us, but we never do anything to change the reason why they judge us

So kudos once more to the Ghanaian government. They should place a ban on the prof too. cool
You are being ridiculous to think that Nigeria has no reputation or laws. We just compromise and ignore the laws due to corruption and selfish gains.

Kidnapping, drug peddling and terrorism are also practiced by foreigners in Nigeria.

There is no "Kudos" for the Ghanaian government on this matter, they can deport and ban him for all I care, I don't think Ghana is paradise to any reasonable Nigerian and particularly the professor.

Nigerian government should ordinarily take this affront on her citizens seriously otherwise several other nations will try it or worsen it.

The University over there invited him so if they are uncomfortable with his speech, they are reasonably allowed to request his return and ensure Ghanaian government deport him, perhaps but not subject him and other Nigerians to harsh, dangerous and ill treatment.

See bro, sometimes we deserved those harassment.. Must we wait for foreigners to harrass us before our people can behave well.. They need to stop those poo most especially in Ghana. Imagine, some Nigerians are doing kidnapping business in Ghana.. Kidnapping for Christ sake

If you want to enjoy your life abroad, never associate with Nigerians.. Simple as ABC
A good number of the terrorists operating in Nigeria are foreigners, we have had situations whereby non Nigerians commit heinous crimes here should we go crazy in the streets killing or maiming citizens of other countries for the crime of a few.

The worst the Ghanaian government should do is to deport the professor from their country. This treatment should attract diplomatic crisis but I know Nigerian government to be very irresponsible when it comes to handling such threats to her citizens.

You're right but I agree with the VP that discos should no longer be allowed to controlled territories.

Of what use really handing over an entire Lagos mainland to IKEDC if they cannot service it properly?

Recently, IKEDC went harassing a certain company that built power plant to provide electricity for their staff quarters insisting the

quarters is within their territory. The company was given the option of either sourcing power from IKEDC or pay IKEDC before they could turn on their power plant.
The company should take IKEDC as an alternative source of metered power which they will rarely use, ensure IKEDC give official notice and correspondence on the options listed by IKEDC and then sue IKEDC to court if they try to sabotage the company's effort.

Thanks. I will do that. The lady is her cousin sister. I think she has a hidden agenda
Can you ask your wife if she noticed the manner of dressing of her cousin in the house. If she indicates that she didn't. Then describe the dress sense you have observed to her.

Make her understand that you feel uncomfortable seeing her dressed in that manner and you don't want such temptations in the house.

Let's have a feedback on the eventual actions that your wife will take about it.

If the cousin doesn't adjust her dress sense afterwards, you can insist that she should leave the house to deflate the pressure building in your system.

Honestly, I think the cousin wants to fu.*ck you and you also wanna fu.*ck her too.
