A responsible pastor will step down from his leadership position of the church and subject himself to internal investigation by the church management and face possible disciplinary measures.

He is still clinging onto the leadership of the church because he knows that is the remaining power he has to control, bully and ambush the gullible Christians in his congregation. Of course, the smart ones will walk away with time.
