Kobojunkie: Also for your education, these are some of the prophets your God praised and used in the Bible to change Nations

You have the likes of Moses in the Bible, who started off as a politician in Egypt, and spent much of the rest of his life as a Politician for Isreal, leading the country into battle after battle, whilst he remained head Prophet of Israel? undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided

Joshua who replaced Moses, fought war after war and is known for being involved in the famous war without direct bloodshed in Jericho. But the number of lives claimed during his reign as prophet of Israel --- no prophet after him, I believe can come close to.

There is Jeremiah(the book of Jeremiah), who was a Prophet but was hated by the people because of his criticism of Government, but was vindicated in the end when the wrath of God came down on the whole country for refusing to listen to him?? undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided

Let's not forget about John the Baptist(Yes, the same John the Baptist you probably grew up hearing of, cause I doubt you have ever read of him), the Political activist/environmentalist whose day job was as a Prophet of God. The same John the Baptist who Jesus Christ himself required should Baptize him only weeks before John finally met his death at the hands of Herod for openly criticizing the Government of the day, calling for repentance or wrath? undecided undecided undecided

How can we forget Esther who not only doubled as queen(politician) but also served as a prophetess, saving Israel by using her feminine wiles, political office, and connection to God.I bet you would have declared her a harlot if you had to be the judge on whether she was godly enough or not.

the list goes on . . . so again, why is Bakare less of a prophet?
abeg, match am there! Bakare, a prophet? Pls don't let him lie against God again

Pataki: A ''good Christian'' who could not utter a single amen to a prayer against corruption in his government?

Keep up with the deception.
But you're not God to know how he said his prayers and he appears to a better christian
PoliticsWho Is A Real Christian Between Bakare And Gej? by warrior01(op): 1:44pm On Aug 06, 2012
Fellow nairalanders, a real christian is someone who is Christlike in motives, utterances, behaviour, loves God with all his heart and soul and loves his neighbour as himself. A true christian doesn't preach hate but love and harmony, a true christian doesn't mock the poor or people of poor background but rather encourages and helps the needy, a good christian demands for fairness, equity and justice; never to be found denigrading people of different culture and tribe. Finally, a good christian supports, gives respect to whom respect is due, prays for the constituted authority; never insult or denigrade leaders cos power comes from God and He can only give it to whoever He chooses for reasons best known to Him.
Now, just take a cursory look into the lives of Bakare and Gej; while one preaches hatred and anarchy, the other one is calling for peace and unity. While one is seen protecting the sacredness of life, the other sees no wrong in the killings of helpless christians, southerners and youth corpers because of his quest for power. Because of blind hatred, jealousy and quest for power, one is busy mocking the poor while the other is busy building almajiri schools to empower the less priviledged for a better tomorrow. Let me stop here for now: it is now left to you to discern who is a real christian among these two politicians.

Billyonaire: Again, I ask. What kind of PASTOR will abuse, insult and ridicule a WOMAN ?
my brother, i wonder o! He even went on to ridicule people from the niger delta. It is ironic that bakare calls himself a pastor and yet refuse to pray for the wellbeing of his president. Is he so dumb to know that if it is well with Gej, it shall be well with Nigeria

Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Bakare Attacks Patience Jonathan by warrior01: 9:02am On Aug 06, 2012
Tis now quite obvious that tunde bakare is obsessed with denigrading Gej and his family not even minding that it is the same God he claims he is serving that put Gej there. He no more cares about the spiritual wellbeing of his members but he is busy sowing seeds of discord and hatred in their hearts all in the name of politics and it doesn't take rocket science for any reasonable person to discern this. Is God happy with him? The answer is NO cos he is presently not Christ like.

chucky234: What absurdity, laptop 25 displaying his shameless empty brain in public, how much was released?
Today is the first of August and we are talking of less than 13% implementation of annual budget, with so many challenges ranging from infrastructural development, quality education, quality healthcare system to poverty eleviation and you are there selling your stu:pidity in public. Your mumu will surely last a lifetime,I pity you.
Are you this dumb? Let me educate since ur mumuness is incurable; you claim and believe the legislators are after proper budget implementation. Now, let me ask you; what happened to the all important PIB bill sent to the legislators? Just to remind you, the PIB bill is the framework on how the oil and gas industry which is the mainstay of the Nigerian economy should be run and guess what? They left it and proceeded on recess till Sept and you believe they care so much about you. Guy, wake up!
PoliticsRe: FG Retracts 56% Budget Implementation Claim by warrior01: 1:37pm On Aug 01, 2012
maclatunji: You have described the National Assembly's oversight functions. Until recent times, that has been reduced to a few tepid committee seatings where government officials make spurious claims and are not asked tough questions. National Assembly members would also visit MDAs and after lots of friendly banter and a very "generous" hosting of the legislators, both parties part ways and wait for the next interaction which would likely be for budget defence.

The Legislature is the least-understood arm of government in Nigeria. The common man doesn't really understand what it's job or role in his life is.

The truth is that if we are not to descend into mob action and anarchy, the National Assembly has to function effectively. Hence, we should encourage it to ask the Executive all the tough questions and exercise it's full powers. It will serve to keep the Executive on it's toes and make it perform better which is to our collective benefit.
oh the certified slowpoke of all times even agreed with debosky on the real functions of the legislative arm of govt. Now, have you asked urself what are the main reasons behind this uproar? You know why? Because there is no free money anymore; no dubious constituency projects that are no where to be found and the monies vanished into thin air. If the legislators are being sincere, have you asked urself what they have been their opinion on budget implementation since 1999? Why did they connive with the civil servants to stop the publications of monthly revenue and allocations immediately Ngozi resigned from the Obasanjo's administration? The fact remains that every right thinking and patriotic Nigeria can discern what is happening and give aunty Ngozi the much needed support to fight this anomaly.
PoliticsRe: FG Retracts 56% Budget Implementation Claim by warrior01: 1:08pm On Aug 01, 2012
debosky: Instead of simply focusing on how much money has been spent, how has the money released been spent/applied? Has it achieved what it was intended for?

If calling for '100%' implementation simply means spending, this is not beneficial as people can conspire to steal the money as they usually do - implementation should look at what was obtained for the funds spent and not just on funds disbursed only.

The National Assembly is correct in principle, they should demand more than just how much has been spent and look at the quality/efficiency of the spending as well.
you dey mind them? Nobody cares whether the money released so far has been properly utilised. They all want the money released without proper accountability and some certified m.orons like maclatunji would jump in to confuse the fickle minded
PoliticsRe: FG Retracts 56% Budget Implementation Claim by warrior01: 12:57pm On Aug 01, 2012
maclatunji: I hope this will be the last time you post with such stupidity on this forum. So, you want the process of budget implementation to take all the time whilst the people that are to benefit from it through project implementation continue to die and those that are alive wallow in poverty.

I have seen a lot of stupidity based posts on Nairaland but this one has to take the lead because it seeks to reduce the whole country to a joke. So, because there are corrupt elements in the National Assembly, the budget should not be implemented? What have you been consuming?
pls if you don't have anything reasonable to say why don't you shut up instead of exposing ur ignorance and bigotry. When did the national assembly pass the 2012 budget? If the woman has taken it upon herself to make sure that all the loopholes and leakages are blocked and that every money released should be properly accounted for; don't you think she should be encouraged and not villified? I believe all these ur ranting is just because the avenue you and ur cohorts used in siphoning our collective wealth is being blocked and that's why you guys are cooking up unverified lies to rubbish her good works. I personally feel she needs our support as many of her policies are geared towards the overall well being of our country. The current fiscal policy should be applauded by any right thinking individual

jp philips: .

Did you even try to verify the above claims before displaying your infantile radicalism?
He said our foreign reserve is 38billion usd, is that not only on iweala's notepad?
How can you have external debt of 44bn usd and come home to deceive dull acidosis that you have reserve?

How much bonds services that 44bn plus interest annually? Nearly 25% of 44bn.
Now 44bn minus 38bn is 6bn deficit in my books though a dull iweala will think her note pad is making progress
While the economy remains a doldrum

On electricity, i believe every Nigerian will stone you to death for fabricating those fallacies.

On health; are doctors still on strike?

Roads, did i see enugu- osha and osha- owerri roads? Lol owerri -osha contract is 6yrs old i can paste the receipts of chippings supplied to CCC and later to JB in 2006 on that project, when jona was still giving yaradua a b.l.o.w job.

Under his watch, the giant of oil and gas reserves is under going its worst energy crisis in the world.

tanker drivers alone can cripple his supply network as they wish not to talk of ordinary Niger republic coming to our rescue via imports.

In case you have not heard, Nigeria is very close to Afghanistan on security progress under jonathan's watch.

Education, its no longer news that only 26% of school leavers gain admission into the universities and only 5% are employed.

On food and agriculture jonathan's league of tabularasers are still deliberating on grazing fields for cattle while his mates have mechanized Their ranch.

Economy/cost of living.
Jonathan's economic blind men has blessed us with all time high of 37.5% inflation though his mickey mouse cbn governor is still claiming 28%, wonder what he will be claiming now that all bankers are at home.

Jonathan is the only Nigerian president that has not initiated a successful programme even Abacha did better with ptf while IBB with FSP and MAMSA, jonathan is still w.a.n.king with ''YOU WIN''

he has never implemented a single law, from FOI law to local content policy, all have gone with his last 0.r.g.a.s.m.

on that same vein, Nigeria has the second record high job cuts within the last 2yrs, if in doubt ask the bankers and manufacturing industries.

The naira

before his acsention into power, the naira was in a sorry state of 150 to 1 dollar today, jona and his cbn mickey has handed us an unstable 163 to 1 dollar

aviation

the recent dana crash is a testimony that jona's aviation is comatose, not even the attorney general could challenge the allegations of the dana staff in court, in a national disaster of that magnitude.
the girl could have served as a prime witness in a class action against dana if jona was sane.

subsidy

under jona's watch, a 250bilion subsidy programme rose to 2trillion yet no arrest, no conviction, no sack, the best miserable Nigerians could get was an AWOL attorney general after 7days of protests.

jonathan is the only president in the world whose parliament gulps 75% of the national budget yet they still soak themselves in 625bn usd bribery scandal.

Jona has bestowed on us the most corrupt institution that even IBB the king of corruption is disappointed, not even a single high profile conviction, not even a single high profile dismissal because as we speak, even the devil himself cannot afford a madueke and sanusi in his cabinet.

Jonathan has not even initiated let alone fulfilling a single campaign promise except the one that he needs to surround himself with brain dead women in his cabinet.

Devil just sent jonathan a congratulatory message for implementing local content policy by importing 200 luxury brands at the cost of over 13.5 million each for a 4 day event. For exporting 2.48m bbls of crude daily while importing 38million liters of pms cos his refineries are moribond.
Even angel Gabriel has barred jonathan's prayers from heaven, this is a leader that just borrowed to augment his 900bn military spending.

Still on military, Nigeria has the most under educated junior military officers, before you ask how, Jonathan is too daft to ask him self why imo with highest national examination enrollments still have the least NDA and police academy enrollments when borno and zamfara as educationally less privileged have higher quotas than Delta and anambra put together in military enrollments.

jonathan is the only head of state in the world whose wife is a ministry of its own.

Abeg im tired of jona please tell me about patience, heard she is still reciting yaradua's seven point agenda for her sweetheart.

Total waste of human materials

What is happening on Apapa-Oshodi expressway is an insult to Nigerians. We are not going to do 'nwanne' with our own oil. Good a thing a policy guideline which am privy to have access to made it mandatory that the chairman of Orient Petroleum and all the members of the board of directors must be Anambrans which has since implemented to the later. This is the aspect I wondered at too. She claimed she saw traces but he was making positive progress at being a better person. Truth is, everyone likes this man cos he is friendly and generous and he knows how to keep his emotions locked. But the wife is the one at the receiving end at home.

Let me clarify some issues. She accept the trash for that long. For the first 3 years, she felt helpless. She didn't speak out. She couldn't speak out for fear of her hubby. Moreover, she was occupied with the kids. We hardly see her around too. When she tried talking to him, he will promise change and go back after a short while. He is the type that believes the success of a marriage is in the hands of the woman only.

She decided to speak up when she realised she wasn't connecting with him anymore during se.x. Before this time I can assure you that there was no one.
