floriana: Its getting interesting.O boy! Lol. |
Ndipe: The picture of the woman with a baby is very touching. Please how can one get in touch with them?Just look outta the window, there are many like that near you; start with those ones first. |
Alamen: This is the difference between Muslims and extremists that most people refused to see. I will continue to say this because I know it's nothing but the truth; ISLAM stands for peace. With all the blood of innocent men, women and children shed without no cause, I have no doubt in my mind that islam is indeed a religion of peace. |
The only time we unanimously condemn violence in this society is when one person ends up dead, as long as the victim is alive we try to blame them especially when the victim speaks out. I am not just speaking on spousal violence but even violence against maids and children. We read on how a maid is bathed with acid or hot water for the smallest perceived offense and some come out and say " you dont know these maids, some of them are witches" " we are not oyibos, we are trying to help these children, some of them do not have food in their house", " some of these maids are so slow and they can make you shout". We justify and excuse women who hold their husbands by the collar and scream down the whole house scaring the kids, infact we accept it as "normal" We justify hitting and even killing traffic officers, we justify mob action on suspected criminals (guilty or not), we justify and applaud public fighting, we cheer when some one "beats up " another and say the other person deserves it,we justify stripping down ladies because they stole a phone, a lot of people excused it when Oyedepo slapped the little girl and even cursed the Lawyer that saw this was wrong. Like someone says, we are deep rooted in violence and excusing violent behavior, we need to start from there. Let us talk more and use our hands and fists less. Every Sunday and Fridays we crowd churches and Mosques but during the week, we are angry aggressive people, what am I saying, most churches now are vengeance centers where we go to fight and kill our enemies, some mosques also breed violence where we promote death to anyone who offends our religion. SO we have a very huge problem, bigger than we can imagine, this is beyond spousal abuse. What do we do? Where do we start from?
where do we start from? START WITH THE MAN IN THE MIRROR |
Chegunn: My friend, this shows how ignorant you are. So you don't know the president and his wife are public figures hence NO private life. Are you for real that the president doesn't have a right to his privacy any longer? Can you pinpoint anywhere in the constitution that says privacy of the president should not be respected? Oya, tell me how many times does Obama sleep with his wife every week? Pls I need a direct answer now |
It obvious from the report you guys are not even sure of the lies you're peddling. 'A source said this and another source said that'. can't you guys get it that what transpires in the private life of Gej's family or how many times they sleep together in a week is none of business. So sahara reporters if i may ask; how does this your stup!d gossip affect the price of garri in the market? Nonsense |
Mowire: What is his name?!Abu kudi |
love! hmm it simply means an alliance between a mugu and a maga |
grandlexuz: You think Christianity in America is different from Christianity in AfricaIt baffles me when ordinary mortals take upon themselves to fight for a god they don't see. Is it that allah's hands are too short to fight for himself? All extremist should know that mohammed who they are fight for cannot create even a fingernail of some innocent fellow they murdered. Let God fight for man and not man for God. |
sleek29: How can Nigeria's economy be growing when we still have increasing unemployment, imperialist countries most times come up with all sorts of reports to make us sell our birth right. The only true determinant of Nigeria's growing economy is its balance of payment. How many finished goods do we export, even as an oil producing state, exporting crude and importing refined products only employ the citizens of the countries we import from. How can the first lady of a country whose economy is growing be in a foreign hospital.yes but we don't blame the govt alone; the problem with Nigeria is equally caused by the man in the mirror. While the youths of those countries are taking their destinies in their own hands and are getting more creative, we are here looking for who to blame. |
Gej was right. Disgruntled politicians hijacked the protest at ojota and we all witnessed it. The problem with Gej is that he is too sincere. |
acidtalk: Just a matter of days. The subsidy removal is even long overdue |
I don't he deserves any award for now. Nairaland is a place where tribalism, ethnic bigotry is encouraged all in the name of getting traffic. No one who registers on Nairaland ever leave the same; they always leave embittered and more conscious of where they are from and owner seems so content with that. He was so quick to fight the 'garri' clique to a standstill and always look the other way where the bigots are concerned. So much for a patriotic Nigerian |
Kobojunkie: What fair trade are you currently enjoying or do you think you are enjoying? China has succeeded in flooding the African markets with Chinese made goods essentially eliminating much of the competition that Africa had hoped for. China takes our raw materials at low cost and floods our markets with cheap goods to annihilate the African competition at the end of the day. China is currently providing the loans to help build ports and rail across Africa so as to help with deeper penetration of, you guessed it, more Chinese goods, further into all parts of Africa. There are at least 1 million Chinese people now living in Africa, and the number is expected to continue to rise with more Chinese companies making Africa their new home. The Chinese Government employees up to 50% of it's own people in many of the Chinese owned/run projects in Africa. How is that fair trade?we have heard. Pls, can you kindly go back to the family section cos sane minds are having a serious discussion here. Thank you |
chucky234: Will you be willing to migrate from Lagos to Ibadan? I don't think myself or anyone I know will ever swap my Lagos for Ibadan, not for all the money in the world.how old are you? |
sheyguy: Come on guys, have you ever imagined cassava flour going into various baked foods. Sausage will be mainly cassava and beef, eggroll will be cassava and egg. . . And we call it an achievement!what's wrong if they are made with cassava flour? I'm 100% with Gej on this; we have to be proud of what we've got and other African nations will follow suit. |
4reigningqueen: ^^ hmm... seems you are one of them.only a beneficiary will support this. The ones they've been collecting where is the result? No be to borrow borrow from other countries including CHINA dey end am?forget this crap you're talking here. The fact is, if we want genuine development then we should be ready to pay for it. In Nigeria, we hadly pay taxes believing that inadequate oil revenue will solve our problems. Though some of our leaders are not helping matters but multiple sources of revenue generation and diversification of the economy from being an import dependent country to a productive one will help in creating employment and spur more economic growth. |
Pls, what's the name of the novel? |
alj harem: There are still serious power outage in Yaba area. I still cannot see any improvement. Like yesterday they low current almost damaged some of my appliances.you mean yaba left? Moreso, never knew inmates are allowed to own appliances |
omaigala: Lol. Remember, we have Ajaokuta steel company, Obajana cement company, an entrè port under construction @ Idah, coal @ Okaba, Gas deposit @ Itobe, Limestone @ Agwale etc. Good evening.wow! You have all these and my village is far more developed than the entire Kogi. So, what do i call you guys now? |
Baawaa: A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the quality of his actions and the integrity of his intent.Fashola, you are a leader!!I hope you'll say this again when GEJ approves 100% fuel subsidy removal. |
obadiah777: pure garbage. let me ask you a few questionsYeepa! O boy you wicked o |
Gbawe: When will you quit this sycophantic show of shame you are now known for? Can you not show there is still even minimal decency in you by calling a spade a spade even once? Should you talk like this coming from a nation that went through the Yar Adua health saga, with rumours flying around dangerously because the Presidency and political leaders were too arrogant and disdainful of the people to be honest with them?Seems you get orgasm by being a hypocrite. Why are becoming so obssesed where/what is wrong with Gej's wife. Must they disclose their family medical history to your hypocritical butt for you to be ok? Last time I checked, as tinubu's ass licker, you have not disclose to the world or even nairalanders what's wrong with tinubu's wife as she's looking more like a walking corpse these days |
dedeike: Another poorly packaged blackmail.Don't mind the fool and the article is so dry |
This governor, your mouth too sweet |
slimming: what type of support would that be from a country that producing lessI don't know why you chose to reason with your anu.s. |
When the the next woman deliver an elephant in Anambra? Nonsense and ingredients.... |
1025: i can bet it with my life that only less than 10% of pdp candidates can win in a free and fair election.pls apart from PDP, do we presently have any other national party in Nigeria? |
Case closed. NEXT!!!!!!.... |
@ Op, don't tell me you were surprised cos it's already becoming a part of us here in the SW. Most 'close ups' make make much more money than normal hotels. As for the married women that cheats, you need to come to Okota and see how our women are expanding their ministries. |
TechRev: There was a Tinubu IV bomb blast, casualty figure unknoown.Lmao |
