I've Been there. Trust me,i got freaked out too. The Truth is you're getting bored of something people have spent thier life looking for(and trust me,if you break up with her,you won't find another one again)
There are people like that. It's just their nature.that's all there is to it.If you can't accept them for who they are (that phrase has been used mostly for people who have flaws),then go.it simply means that you want more than an obedient, trustworthy, kind, committed and loving individual to spend your life with,
WHAT THE Bleep IS WRONG WITH YOU!?
Dude, your bachelor blood is screaming. Sit her down and tell her your mind. There has to be something or two she has to talk about you, If she still remains the same, do as you wish.but seriously,i'll bet you'll be suprised what she has to say if you bare your mind.
Then people like you will start singing with pdiddy and usher 'i need a girl'. Rubbish!
WebmastersRe: Get A Professional Website For N24,999.99 Or Low by WebMonk(m): 5:16pm On Jan 23, 2008
@abhosts: My bad.allow me to correct my mistake here: it was the site for mynigeriacashcard.com.Check it.
As for webguru, sure. I was also a student too, thinking that cheap pricing was the way to go.but guess what i found in the hardest way possible: it isn't. That's why people who're really looking for 'cheap coders/designers'(no offence, a client way back who wouldn't pay 40,000 for a cms enabled site used that term.) go to people in the university - i won't say people like you, because the mere fact you stated 'the hard way' means you definitely encountered the problems of cheap projects. In the long run,the short gains are lost. haven't you heard that?.
about doing a site on syskay for 5000 and throwing the profit in an investment. What is that? The lowest i recalled charging a client when i didn't have even have a portfolio was 20,000 - with a custom cms. i'm just going to assume that was a bad mistake. Ok,you pay 2500 into hosting, then what?you throw the other half into some investment. Even as a student, you shouldn't charge so low. A portfolio also is no excuse for cheap pricing.i guess what's ok to you as a hobby is poison to someone as a professional.

I second the motion! The sooner we purge all these 'akara web outfits',the better for us all (to all those who can read,i did not call names).
As for promo,i'm of the personal opinion that you shouldn't flinch because you're doing one. Besides, your topic's title contradicts what is on your site, since the lowest package is at that price (24,999-we dey britain?lol).
But seriously, why would you blame anyone for going low?the company that redesigned interswitch (something netzero dot com. Check the site credits) have a business package of 10 pages for 20,000. I almost wept.
People should know their worth. Word!

As for my2cents, you haven't copyrighted your signature phrase. I think you should.it's rubbed off on me.is that bad? (maybe seun should post a list of "reserved phrases."anyone who uses it, ban!)

Because the admin is merged with the site.so rather than having one backend admin as the traditional way goes, the site is also the admin. Given the proper user permissions (from user to editor to admin),specific control handles appear for all modules. If you want to how this works i can show.because in the end, you'll be teaching the user how to use the site design to manage it,not having to learn a backend admin.
WebmastersRe: Joomla! Vs "any Other Php Cms Out There" by WebMonk(m): 9:07am On Jan 21, 2008
Features
online polls, web blogs, news (with selective views for featured, summary, and preview images), articles, faqs, guestbooks, custom online form builder with javascript/php validator and send to both email and/or db, user accounts and groups with access rights per module, message boards, CAPTA, and so much more that space can't allow (since i used my phone)
as always, my 2 cents!
WebmastersRe: Joomla! Vs "any Other Php Cms Out There" by WebMonk(m): 9:03am On Jan 21, 2008
i would recommend exponent (exponentcms.org)

learning curve

its a snap.i've used it for more than 5 sites now, and it's extremely user friendly, to both admin and user.why? More on that down

install is on the fly.you can upload the zip file to your server, unzip it, then install.install is in 5 steps, all laid in layman terms.also points out problems during installation (if any) and how to solve them.that way, you're never left in the dark

design
did i mention that exponent is 100% CSS?this is the sweetest part. Also, they have a detailed step-by-step guide on merging your already made CSS design to exponent.more on that, every module has a set of classes,so all you have to do is customise them. Awesome!

Maintainance.
Exponent has its own backup system (you can selectively backup specific modules or entire site).also has a seperate backup system for uploaded files.

RomanceRe: 'just Tell Me What's On Your Mind?' - True Meaning? by WebMonk(op): 2:58pm On Jan 10, 2008
Why these harsh words?i asked this question cause i told her my mind.i wanted a relationship. Maybe my post was not clear and thus you think i'm wasn't decisive.isn't it plain enough? Yeesh.
I'm asking this question because it doesn't make sense to me for a girl to ask this question and when i really tell her what's on my mind, she says it's ok(incase i need to tell you,the feelings were mutual eventually), then fast forward some weeks later she starts acting all busy and cold. I don't have time for games.so stop the 'i can't stand indecisive men' rant.that's not how to answer a question.
Romance'just Tell Me What's On Your Mind?' - True Meaning? by WebMonk(op): 10:54am On Jan 10, 2008
Let me explain.say you're talking with someone who you want to enter a relationship with, and she's not exactly feeling you.then she asks the question above.what does that mean exactly?the question also comes after a disagreement between 2 people who have feelings for each other, the 2 examples where in my last relationship
just want to learn if there's anything attached to it.

There was a thread that dealt with which means of communication people use more; Phone or Email?

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-103979.0.html

And here was my contribution. You'll see where i'm coming, and i hope this helps other aspiring web designers/masters/*insert your title here*

There's also another angle to this, especially in web business: 'which would you use when discussing with potential customers/clients?'.It'll be how you use each at this stage that the game is won and lost.

Rule of the thumb: always stick to email.phone when it is absolutely necessary, and sparingly at that.email will dictate your pace, give the impression you're a busy outfit, and will dictate how serious the person is.Phone on the other hand would give the opposite,as there are no barriers (one on one - anything goes, especially if you're not a good negotiator).
My contributions.
WebmastersRe: Gsm And E-mail, Which Do You Prefer? by WebMonk(m): 7:44pm On Jan 08, 2008
Believe it o brother! I learnt this the hard way 2 days ago, phoning a client without anything solid.it degenerated to a bargaining session and even when i reduced my price 15%,he said he'll call later.that was 2 days ago.hence i made it a new year resolution cheesy

Like someone said in regards to a client stating A now and later stating B, you need a TOS (terms of service), in order to regulate the entire process.browse other established web design outfits and see thiers.it'll will save you a lot of misunderstandings and unnecessary costs.also, ensure you refer your client to the terms of service for clarity,
WebmastersRe: How To Build A Cms. by WebMonk(m): 3:54pm On Dec 12, 2007
Dude, creating a cms is no small task, let alone you.you could build one using software like dreamweaver (that's how i started).but the overall time per project was just too long.you're best off with a user friendly cms.i use exponent.it's terribly flexible and efficient, with full css support. If you're a design guru then it's as good as it gets.they also have step by step if you even new to design.it absolutely free too.www.exponentcms.org

Go with your laptop.be calm, sit back and relax when you're with them.they'll usually have barrel of questions (if they're not knowledgable).like someone said, you only open your laptop when they indicate so.this happened to me exactly 2 days ago,and all said and done,i walked home with the cheque.it was lovely.so do like all have said.talk like d pro,and you'll be treated like one!

saucekid:
i'm self trained in building html, css webpages but i just ventured into flash and anytime i finish the pages i'm working on and want to publish it as a webpage, the pictures don't flash as it's supposed to

any help?? huh huh huh
Could you give more info? You mention in your title "How Do I Build A Flash Website?", but here you write that the pictures don't flash as it's supposed to

Linking subpages in flash is done in flash (internally). You also have to define the x-y co-ordinates as well as the filename of the subpage. In a nutshell, you need to learn actionscript.

this should help:

www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/loading.htm

This method also applies to flash 8

Hope this helps

Something crossed my mind.they waited for the show to end before they went on a fake charade of indecency?sounds like a hypocrite accusing his reflection. Rubbish. Would they have been talking like this if ofuneka won?they would be congratulating her in the first place.this is simply an example of how this nation treats its citizens.
