@blackpanda: You probably didn't understand what I said earlier. Islam is universal and is no respecter of culture. It has its own tenets and way of life hence, it is a culture itself. But as you are aware, there are areas of convergence and divergence of different cultures. Thus, if the Islamic culture requires a woman to cover her head and this co-incides with the hausa culture, fine. But where the reverse is the case, the Islamic culture prevails. That was why I cited an instance of divergence with the yoruba culture that does not require women to cover their heads. Since it conflicts with the Islamic culture, the Islamic culture will prevail and Muslim women should cover their heads. Even the arabs had to sacrifice some of their cultures for the Islamic culture when they conflicted.
Lest I forget, thanks for been matured and not insultive in putting up your points unlike most NLers.

That is what Islam teaches: Living peacefully with your neighbours (of any religion). You and your religion should not disturb them as long as they don't disturb you. However, there is nothing like Hausa-Arab style of Islam or Yoruba style. Islam is Islam and it is a way of life. Hence, a Yoruba mulsim lady that is not covering her head is wrong according to Islam, even though yoruba culture allows it. Islam is a culture itself.

It will be of benefit to forumites if you made the above quotations in their true contexts. If one says " I did not say he is mad" and in quoting him, you only quoted ", he is mad", then you have distorted the entire meaning of the statement. This is common sense.

Alhamdulillah. The Sallah was cool. Stayed with my family for days and played with the kids well. Couldn't eat much meat at all. Prices of rams however dropped after Sallah seriously in my place. I had to buy another ram after sallah because of the significant drop in price. Have not decided what to do with it as at now. But if any body wan buy sha, A ram is available for sale o!

May Allah (SWT) make us experience more of it in life- Amin.

If u are a muslim, you should remember that slander is a punishable offense in Islam. IMO, I think the appropriate thing to do is not to call him fraud or fake, but urge others to confirm same just in case you are making a mistake. I know NNPC's strict procedures of confirming all certificates from both national and international academic institutions, and would really doubt if the system can be manipulated due to the checks and balances in place.

However, you may send his name to the schools and confirm if he ever attended those schools at those periods. If the school can confirm to you that he never attended those institutions, I will link you up with the necessary authorities.

We need some one to speak to that guy that calls himself president to remember the commoners who are not working when designing his anti-masses policies. Deregulation at this time is bad enough, but Fuel Tax, God save us!

yeah they are merely "mentioned" but where are they? Why arent they included in its entirety in the quran? I expected you to show a sense of remorse on the observation of stevesall instead of brushing him aside. Your argument that 95% of the cars on Naija roads are salvaged (which is not true) is not the issue, but your [b]non-disclosure of the material [/b]fact that the car was salvaged.

Also, we expect a comment on his claim that the car is over 80K whereas u reported 33K+.

Not withstanding the responses that we expect, you have a nice car for sale and wish you quick and profitable sale.

Most things about this great country called NIGERIA is blessed and wonderful. Just to mention a few;

1. A country where you hardly experience natural disasters (earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes etc)
2. A country blessed with abundant natural resources (petroleum, gold, limestone, iron ore etc)
3. Abundant land mass suitable for different purposes ( agric, tourism, shipping, hunting etc)
4. Very industrious and hard working people (Really, nigerians are very hard working)
5. A country where you can legitimately make good money from different avenues and sectors of the economy (emphasis on the word LEGITIMATE)
6. Wonderful and receptive people who welcomes visitors and are usually happy with themselves and the visitors (exception of a few people like the Jos community)
7. A country of choices in many regards: food, weather, language, dressing, culture etc

The list is endless.

I however acknowledge the fact that we have some bad eggs amongst us (especially our leaders) who are defaming the good people of Nigeria and creating uncomplementary situations for Nigerians (bad roads, power outage, corruption, political and cultural killings etc). It is these people that we should HATE and not the great country.

Personally, I would score Nigeria 70%. It is now up to you to decide if we are 70% GOOD or 30% BAD . For me, we are 70% GOOD.

That notwithstanding, what Ryanair did was very unprofessional in the industry. If they knew the wind shield was not strong enough or not well clipped to the aircraft as to withstand the pressure inside (or from outside) the cabin, proper maintenance job should be carried out instead of relying on some tapes! And this is where I disagree with Vicjustice and the Irish Aviation Authority, as their stand suggests that all aircrafts should be taped as an extra precautionary measure.
