alienvirus:nna, e be like say u go harsh for real life o! ![]() |
blackpanda:@blackpanda: You probably didn't understand what I said earlier. Islam is universal and is no respecter of culture. It has its own tenets and way of life hence, it is a culture itself. But as you are aware, there are areas of convergence and divergence of different cultures. Thus, if the Islamic culture requires a woman to cover her head and this co-incides with the hausa culture, fine. But where the reverse is the case, the Islamic culture prevails. That was why I cited an instance of divergence with the yoruba culture that does not require women to cover their heads. Since it conflicts with the Islamic culture, the Islamic culture will prevail and Muslim women should cover their heads. Even the arabs had to sacrifice some of their cultures for the Islamic culture when they conflicted. Lest I forget, thanks for been matured and not insultive in putting up your points unlike most NLers. |
That is what Islam teaches: Living peacefully with your neighbours (of any religion). You and your religion should not disturb them as long as they don't disturb you. However, there is nothing like Hausa-Arab style of Islam or Yoruba style. Islam is Islam and it is a way of life. Hence, a Yoruba mulsim lady that is not covering her head is wrong according to Islam, even though yoruba culture allows it. Islam is a culture itself. |
Those guys are just looking for a way to make ends meet. But they should have just begged for alms instead of constituting nuisance to people. Those people dey smell die! |
E go hard d guy small o! |
and you sincerely think this is feasible. You see, this is my problem with the government. They are quite convinced that they can't achieve even half of the target, yet they run their mouths. Mumu peiople |
guys, make una wait first. What is our current GDP? By what rate and value do we intend to grow in 9 years (or even 8 years ) to reach $900B. Na wa o! |
Learn to post a lot of pix. It will help you sell fast. One can hardly see the car you are selling. |
Lloyd Achi:Your write-up is biased, and you ended it badly just like most other NLers who you heavily criticised. [li]list]If truly you are as educated and enlightened as you claim and think, you will not be accusing Ciroma & co based on your instincts. Loss of innocent lives is terrible and perpetrators of such heinous crimes (BH) should be heavily punished. But until anyone is found guilty, keep your education and enlightenment to your self and don't make anyone a convict.
One would expect a clued president to at least, have thought of an idea or strategy to deal with these useless BH guys, but hey, he is just like his NSA (Azazi) and Police Chief (Ringim) who seems not to even know the meaning of bomb. We can't wait for BH to die a natural death because it is killing innocent lives, unlike Shari'ah that is not killing anyone. Or have you heard of any one killed in Shari'ah Law who did not commit an offense? Never. But the same cannot be said of BH. That is why you need to light up their asses so that they can save the innocent lives dying evryday. If they cant do the job, he and his co-horts should get the hell out of the place and allow competent hands manage us and save our lives. |
@Booty on me & Rpg92, Both of you are very wrong in quoting the Holy Book. I think you should be careful, in attributing NL jokes and craze with the holy books. Except of course, if you need and fear nothing from the Author. RMC |
wellheads:Apologies for the wrong spellings jare. The guy just vex me die. Na dat baga type dey make northerners misbehave atimes. |
jerseyboy:@jerseyboy I am not surprised about your utterance at all. You have just depicted the type of up-bringing you had while growing up. Expect for psychiatric patients, I don't expect anyone to such things. Rgp92:@Rgp92 It will be of benefit to forumites if you made the above quotations in their true contexts. If one says " I did not say he is mad" and in quoting him, you only quoted ", he is mad", then you have distorted the entire meaning of the statement. This is common sense. |
Alhamdulillah. The Sallah was cool. Stayed with my family for days and played with the kids well. Couldn't eat much meat at all. Prices of rams however dropped after Sallah seriously in my place. I had to buy another ram after sallah because of the significant drop in price. Have not decided what to do with it as at now. But if any body wan buy sha, A ram is available for sale o! ![]() May Allah (SWT) make us experience more of it in life- Amin. Once again, Eid Mubarak and Happy Sallah Insha Allah. |
@ Point B & Marvix; GEJ is supposed to be the masses' president. So, if the masses mark him down, then he is truly a failure. Simple arithmetic of democracy says: MAJORITY carries the day! @Marvix; I believe it is not too late to vote GEJ for 2nd term since you strongly believe in him . Just make sure you don't say it in public except you are in SS or some parts of SE, otherwise what you will experience may not be pleasant. |
Egba girl: E-Engineer:I luv u guys! |
We don't need the US to tell us the genesis of our problems, we know it ourselves. It is however a known fact that GEJ's disrespect for the zoning rule of PDP is what is costing so many innocent lives in Nigeria. What is even worse and more painful is the fact that he just can't do anything right!. God!. He irritates me with passion. If he is performing, even the northerners would have rallied around him. |
@Auwal 87, If u are a muslim, you should remember that slander is a punishable offense in Islam. IMO, I think the appropriate thing to do is not to call him fraud or fake, but urge others to confirm same just in case you are making a mistake. I know NNPC's strict procedures of confirming all certificates from both national and international academic institutions, and would really doubt if the system can be manipulated due to the checks and balances in place. However, you may send his name to the schools and confirm if he ever attended those schools at those periods. If the school can confirm to you that he never attended those institutions, I will link you up with the necessary authorities. |
We need some one to speak to that guy that calls himself president to remember the commoners who are not working when designing his anti-masses policies. Deregulation at this time is bad enough, but Fuel Tax, God save us! I cant wait for his tenure to end. Just hope he will not rig his way in for a second term, otherwise, |
Ola one:Chairman, Wetin concern muslims concern CAN naw? Comment on wetin dey ground or wait make Islamic Affairs Council too misyarn b4 u finish dem now. |
This is good news. Ilorin (and even Kwara) is gaining the respect and recognition it deserves. ![]() |
fxtopedia: davidylan:I think gentlemen of this forum should desist from responding to some forumites like the ones quoted above. You never can be sure of the mental state of these people. And this type of arguments can actually worsen their mental disarray. Whether you believe in God or not, it is not for you to insult Him. Everyone should hold his believe and stick to the scope of the topic or abstain. |
stevesall: Austineok:@Austineok I expected you to show a sense of remorse on the observation of stevesall instead of brushing him aside. Your argument that 95% of the cars on Naija roads are salvaged (which is not true) is not the issue, but your non-disclosure of the material fact that the car was salvaged. Also, we expect a comment on his claim that the car is over 80K whereas u reported 33K+. Not withstanding the responses that we expect, you have a nice car for sale and wish you quick and profitable sale. ![]() |
Most things about this great country called NIGERIA is blessed and wonderful. Just to mention a few; 1. A country where you hardly experience natural disasters (earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes etc) 2. A country blessed with abundant natural resources (petroleum, gold, limestone, iron ore etc) 3. Abundant land mass suitable for different purposes ( agric, tourism, shipping, hunting etc) 4. Very industrious and hard working people (Really, nigerians are very hard working) 5. A country where you can legitimately make good money from different avenues and sectors of the economy (emphasis on the word LEGITIMATE) 6. Wonderful and receptive people who welcomes visitors and are usually happy with themselves and the visitors (exception of a few people like the Jos community) 7. A country of choices in many regards: food, weather, language, dressing, culture etc The list is endless. I however acknowledge the fact that we have some bad eggs amongst us (especially our leaders) who are defaming the good people of Nigeria and creating uncomplementary situations for Nigerians (bad roads, power outage, corruption, political and cultural killings etc). It is these people that we should HATE and not the great country. Personally, I would score Nigeria 70%. It is now up to you to decide if we are 70% GOOD or 30% BAD . For me, we are 70% GOOD. |
Guys, I know I was one of the first people to criticize Sandysprax heavily, but I implore us to pardon him now since he has realised his mistakes and apologised. Even though him say I dey craze (whereas na him dey craze), but please lets not throw the baby out with the bath water. One luv. |
Okija_juju:@Okija Juju and Sandysprax Okija - Thank you for "firing" that inferior black man well. We need good blacks who are confident of themselves like you. Sandysprax - People like you are "a disgrace and embarrassment" to the black people. So whenever and wherever bad or evil happens, blacks must be associated with it. But when it is the other way, it can't be blacks. I pity your life. |
werepeLeri:Yeah, it is not towing van as werepeLeri have said. But if truly, bellview took their tyre to a road side vulcanizer for maintenance, then that is suicide. That notwithstanding, what Ryanair did was very unprofessional in the industry. If they knew the wind shield was not strong enough or not well clipped to the aircraft as to withstand the pressure inside (or from outside) the cabin, proper maintenance job should be carried out instead of relying on some tapes! And this is where I disagree with Vicjustice and the Irish Aviation Authority, as their stand suggests that all aircrafts should be taped as an extra precautionary measure. |
dayokanu:This name given to the clown is truly what he deserves. But the name funny sha o! Make una give beaf one name also naw. ![]() |
The person was a brother to the former Emir of Gwandu. It was during one of the series of meetings that led to the independence of Nigeria. It happened in the UK. |

Nice one Jarus. God will see you through, I.A. Pls what part of Ilorin are you putting up this structure. |
Femmy2010, You are really educating us here. I used to think that a flat % applies to all types of motor vehicles. Good job, man. |
