There is NO BETTER economic/fiscal policy for the country at the moment that a head-on fight against corruption. That is what we need right now and that is what Buhari is offering (amongst other things of course). He has done it before, he can do it again!!
The past and the present are not the same. A dictatorship and democracy are not the same. I believe there are people GEJ would like to lock up for corruption but for the courts. There is no proved case of corruption against GEJ, just like Atiku, Amaechi, Tinubu, El-rufai, etc.

Seems you are new around here hence the incorrect mentions in your post. It should be "Obiagelli, Barcanista, and OrlandoOwoh,.

Regarding your question, it is foolhardy to imagine EVERY GRADUATE would be employed under any regime regardless of its performance. Even the most industrialised countries in the world have a percentage of her graduates that are unemployed. Buhari certainly cannot guarantee employment for everyone but what you can count on is a seismic shift from the status quo where the unemployment figures are reduced to their barest minimum due to sound fiscal and economic policies. You are rest assured to see tangible proof of progress made from facts on ground and not some concocted indices that have never tallied with what is visible on the streets as is the norm in this administration.

Give GMB your votes and he is duty bound to transform that singular vote to a coupla pennies in the bank and an improvement in your standard of living. That is a GUARANTEE!!

God bless us all.
Can you tell me one of such sound fiscal and economic policies? Don't tell me you don't know for it would be clueless of you to say so.

Nairaland General5 Lies The System Tells And How Believing Them Could Ruin Your Life by Welrez(op):
BY JOE BARNES

We can achieve so much more than we are led to believe. We can feel a level of happiness and joy we are told is impossible, and we have a very real power that are duped into thinking does not exist. Life can be the adventurous, exciting and meaningful experience we dream of living, but we have to approach it from a completely different perspective than the one we are conditioned to adopt. I want you to break through all and have the knowledge needed to start living an exciting life that is authentically yours.

LIE NUMBER ONE: GOOD GRADES IN SCHOOL ARE THE KEY TO A HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL LIFE.
Our parents will insist on it. Our teachers will enforce it and our politicians will preach it, but do they really know what they are talking about? No, is the short answer. Good grades in school are not the passport to a happy and successful life. In fact, quite often, they lead to a stiflingly conformist life where you join the ranks with a lot of people who feel no passion whatsoever in their working lives. Instead, specialisation is the key. Way before you graduate from school, start thinking about what you want to do with your life and begin doing it.

LIE NUMBER TWO: A 'GOOD JOB' IS ONE WHICH EARNS YOU A LOT OF MONEY.
There is a big difference between a good job and a well-paying job. Sometimes the two overlap. But, if your job does not make you feel alive, treat you with respect and understand there are other areas of your life just as important as work, then it is not a good one.

LIE NUMBER THREE: TRUST THE EXPERTS; THEY KNOW EVERYTHING.
Whether we are looking to make a living blogging, seeking advice on our health or trying to improve a sporting skill, there will always be industry experts telling us how it is done. While I'm not advocating complete dismissal of everything they say, I want to strike a cautionary note about putting all your faith in their knowledge. As much as the experts want you to believe they are like God (and pay them lots of money), they are not. They make mistakes and get things wrong. Scientists rarely agree on their own research. The answer is, you have to be your own expert.

LIE NUMBER FOUR: CONSUMPTION MAKES YOU HAPPY.
This is perhaps the greatest lie of them all. On a subconscious level, we have been conditioned to think that the big car, grand house, expensive holidays and designer clothes are the pinnacle of what this world has to offer. We will consume more food, more drugs, more sex and more extreme experiences because the dominant message of our societies is that happiness is to be found in the material.
The evidence, though, suggests otherwise. Amazingly, research has shown that being in the highest income bracket of your country will only make you 3.5 percent happier than the average. This new understanding gives you the freedom to ditch the system's dream and find, pursue and live your own. In the process, you will discover one of the most liberating truths known to man: Creation, not consumption, is what makes us truly happy.

LIE NUMBER FIVE: THE INDIVIDUAL CAN'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
We are told that our vote won't make any difference to the election outcome so we don't bother. We are told that we can't challenge the government because they have got all the resources and all we have is our voice. And guess what? We start to believe it. So instead, we will spend our time playing video games or watching TV, safe in the knowledge that there is nothing we can do, anyway.
You see, contrary to what the system would have us believe, the individual is the only entity that ever makes a difference. Remember, every great invention was born in an individual mind and every righteous cause was formed of small groups of individuals whose hearts burned with desire to see the end of man's inhumanity to man. By inspiring themselves and others to take action, the individual does not make a difference.

Don't be deceived that money is not indispensable in a relationship. I could remember some years back when girls in my part of the country used to look for guys who they would even train in school and marry later. It is the opposite today where girls have come to embrace the financial culture so much that some are so addicted to it. My candid advice to my fellow men is to go and make money before thinking of conquering the female world. Until then, your case is with the Olympian gods.

Tenancy agreement on what basis? When there is no rent? I'm sure there are records of some sort maybe receipts and such because if he decides to go to court I don't see how a tenancy agreement that is how many months old will help.

There must be a way your friend keeps account of payment or tenants on his premises. Let him first worry about the 6 months notice otherwise that man will be living in his house for free for a long while
PropertiesRe: Legal Advice On Serving Of Quit Notice By A Landlord To A Tenant by Welrez(op): 3:05pm On Nov 15, 2014
It seems the real legal battle begins after the termination of the six month quit notice and the additional seven days, because a stubborn tenant with a dubious lawyer may keep adjourning the case while leaving in the house for free. Would the tenant in question be paying electricity bills and water rates during this period of the quit notice? Is the arrears for the period covered paid after the resolution of the case only?
PropertiesRe: Legal Advice On Serving Of Quit Notice By A Landlord To A Tenant by Welrez(op): 12:45am On Nov 15, 2014
Priceless24:
Firstly, it depends on which state your friend's premises is located because most states now have their recovery of premises law, and also on the agreement the landlord has with his tenant. If the agreement has a specific period of notice, then the landlord is required to give him that period of notice.

In the absence of an agreement, Since the tenants rent has expired and he is a yearly tenant it is still compulsory to issue a six months notice to quit. The six months notice to quit is to be issued to a yearly tenant six months before the expiration of the tenancy.

After the expiration of the 6months notice and the guy has not quit the premises, the landlord is required to issue a 7 day notice of intention to recover possession of the premises. He cannot forcefully evict the guy. Upon expiration of that notice, then he can proceed to court to have him legally evicted and to collect arrears of rent the guy owes him.

Although it is annoying because some tenants are really difficult, plus the legal process is Naija is an eye sore, that is the general position of the law and if it is done any other way, some lawyer will use your friend to shine.

My 2 cents
The premises in question is in Delta State and according to my friend, he didn't sign any tenancy agreement with the said tenant. I've told him to introduce tenancy agreement asap. Thanks for your contribution.
PropertiesLegal Advice On Serving Of Quit Notice By A Landlord To A Tenant by Welrez(op): 12:03am On Nov 15, 2014
A friend wants to give an eviction notice to a tenant who is occupying a flat in one of his houses. The quit notice is as a result of the tenant's defaulting in paying up his yearly rent since the last one expired four months ago and since peaceful and amicable means of resolving this has resulted to insults by the tenant.

I know he has to serve the tenant a six-month quit notice since he is a yearly tenant, but what is not clear to me is whether he will not pay for those six months that the notice covers together with the earlier four months he has stayed before the notice? I would also love to know the next legal action to take if he still refuses to vacate the property at the expiry of the six-months' quit notice. Are there loopholes tenants usually exploit in the law that he needs to watch out for? I want to advise him on the legal action to take in order to avoid a lengthy legal tussel.

RomanceA Prospective Daughter-in-law's Prayer For Her Future Mother-in-law by Welrez(op): 9:55am On Nov 13, 2014
I was discussing with two ladies few days back while coming from work and I quote: 'I PRAY I DON'T MEET MY MOTHER-IN-LAW WHEN I WILL MARRY. SHE SHOULD HAVE DIED BEFORE I GET MARRIED.' The second lady responded: 'Amen O O, AND ME TOO.'
Then I said to them:' MAY YOUR DAUGHTER-IN-LAW NEVER SEE YOU BEFORE GETTING MARRIED TO YOUR SON(S), YOU WOULD HAVE DIED TOO BEFORE SHE COMES INTO YOUR HOUSE.' Immediately I finished talking, I heard a guy at the back say Amen.
There is an Ijaw saying that the one who bends low to see the buttocks of another equally exposes his own. When you point a finger at another, it forces four fingers to point facewards. A lady has said a similar thing in my hearing before and I rebuked her. I don't know the source of this sinister and devilish motive but I believe it has much to do with selfishness and an overriding ambition to monopolise the man. No one should rationalise this despicable mentality with talks of love.
Now there is something I'm interested in finding out. Why would a girl say such a prayer for a mother-in-law? Have you heard a lady say such a thing? How did you treat it? What are your views about this? Are men also saying a similar prayer for their future fathers-in-law for I'm yet to hear a man saying such a thing?

Lets take a walk away from Religion. What is God? A quality in every living thing and non living thing. It's Omniscient is present everywhere,in Brothels,Hotels,Night clubs,Drug houses, our homes,Schools, with Ritualists,Houses of parliaments,Banks ETC everywhere.

God like Love,Peace,Joy are qualities of life experienced by Conscious and non-conscious objects. God being a quality is not personified. If personified,it becomes finite in nature. Everything we do is God,good or bad are all God. Therefore,God is an expression and not a being.

Using a His for God personifies it.
I understand your point. If so, then why do we have all these unending arguments about trinity and anthropomorphism from religious texts? Sorry for taking you back to religion. I wish a religious fanatic should attempt this puzzle.

God is everywhere; it is the nature his nature of His presence or purpose of His being anywhere that we have to consider.

Thanks for your comment. But why do religionists still harbour a narrow view on this in form of rejecting gods when this clearly advocates unison in our interpretation of God?
Christianity EtcRe: The Omnipresence Of God by Welrez(op): 10:15am On Nov 09, 2014
timmy2409:
@OP What you have stumbled upon is part of a series of philosophical arguments on religion that have been discussed for centuries.

If you really think about them, you will find that the omni-xx qualities that are ascribed to God are almost impossible to rationalize.

Like your scenario rightly describes, God's omnipresence would mean that he is present everywhere, including hell, and in Lucifer's 'body' even. So after judgement day, at least according to the Christian faith, all of the condemned would be in the presence of not only the devil, but God himself. For all eternity.

Also, one less obvious implication of this omnipresence would be that God then cannot chose to NOT be in a place, ergo he is not omnipotent.

Furthermore, aside from the scenario you described in the OP, God's omniscience also implies that there is a single possible path of events. If God already knows the very end, whatever that is, then there cannot be any deviations from this path of events. As soon as there is, then God ceases to be omniscient. One implication of this is that he cannot then chose to change the course of events, effectively refuting any claims to his omnipotence. Karen Owens puts it succinctly in this haiku:

Another implication of this is that human freewill does not exist in this event. If God knows exactly what choices you would make from the very moment you were born, then you could not deviate from this path of choices, ergo you have no freewill. If you could actually make your own choices, changing God's initial 'knowledge' of the future, then God ceases to be omniscient.

Yet another quality attributed to God is omni-benevolence, the idea that God is all-good. To that, I'll leave you with Epicurus:

I hope I have been able to help, but this probably just leaves you with more questions than answers LOL. For more research on such topics, you may Google the Omnipotence Paradox, Euthyphro's Dilemma, and the Problem of Evil.
Exactly, my head is already buzzing. Does this topic have any implication on the need for religious tolerance? In other words, is there any relationship between this topic and religious tolerance? I was a little scared that someone would call me stupid for asking such a simple and elementary philosophical question. But I trusted a Socrate would see through the simplicity and discover its complexity.
Christianity EtcThe Omnipresence Of God by Welrez(op): 8:12am On Nov 09, 2014
I had an argument with a colleague at the office about God's omnipresence. I started the discussion by asking him if he would agree with me that the omniscient quality of God is derived from God's omnipresence, which he agreed with. Then I told him that if God was omnipresent, it means that God is also present in what we call idols because he will have to be present in the idols too to be omnipresent and omniscient. If God was not present in our shrines, it simply removes the omnipresence of God since he is not found everywhere. My colleague didn't say anything more to my argument, but I've not been satisfied with myself. I feel there is a missing link in my analysis (or is it hypothesis?) because I'm yet to hear anybody saying a similar thing. Or have I committed a blasphemy? Please Nairalanders, can you generally edit my thought? I want this topic to be seen from different dimensions. I conceived this thought during the week but have kept it till today to put it up for analysis. Thank you all in advance.
