^^^ Crystal clear! |
Gbawe:This is evidence that your brain has become atrophied by hate. You really are completely shameless and so often your vain attempt to appear altruistic is betrayed by your obvious foolishness and deep rooted sadistic intentions. Which of those other comments qualifies to be called an 'insult' on the person of the president? Is it not curious that an 'Abdulahi' whose kinsmen are responsible for the ongoing carnage in the country was the only one that threw expletives at the president? You can only foool slowpokes like yourself, the hate and desperation in you is obvious and you'll stop at nothing to be perceived as being an innocent critic including whipping up the worse of sentiments, but beyond your feeble altruistic facade lies your true disgusting self! SHAME ON YOU. |
I'm sure non of you has seen Obama's FB page. You think these are criticisms? They can barely speak English and are struggling to communicate, these guys still dey learn! Anyway it's a huge credit to Gej that ordinary citizens can reach out to him and be heard, I wonder if it would have been thesame if we had the intolerant duo of Buhari or Ribadu in power. I really can not blame an 'Abdulahi' for insulting the President on his facebook page, its not his fault! |
I referred to the road as a footpath only after u tried to deceptively make it look cheap by comparing it to a planned road that is to traverse a modern and first class city like Moscow. My comparison was not done in bad faith but was merely intended to highlight the incomparability of both roads. Since u've arrogated to yourself the title of a selfless unbiased and totally altruistic critic, I find it curious that u're unwilling to even tolerate a constructive criticism when u're faced with one. What's it about the ACN that has got u willing to stake your life in its defense? Ethnic affiliation? Personal gain? Vendetta against the ruling party? Which? Everytime there's an issue about the ACN, u completely transform into the ultra-defensive non tolerant follower u spend so much time battling on other issues, why is that? |
Yeah right! Complete development plan indeed. I'm sure you read the post i was responding to right? So its safe to assume (judging by your defense) that u agree with @knowall that a 2km 6lane road is enough to describe a state govt as 'setting the pace' and that alone is enough to justify scorning the entire South East isnt that so? I dont want to get drawn into an argument over the so called development plan lest i'm labelled as being anti-ACN, but do you really believe if the priorities of Ogun state were listed by a reasonable citizen of that state a ridiculous 6lane 2km road would make the list? And please spare me all the silly quotes! |
KnowAll:The foolishness displayed in the above statement is absolutely shocking (even if one were to ignore your pathetic self mocking ethnic jibe). So building a 6lane 2km road that leads nowhere when a 3 or 4laned road would have sufficed in a state where children still learn under ramshackle classrooms, people still go to streams to get water, ravaged day and night by mosquitoes and depend on hospitals that lack the most basic of facilities is your idea of setting the pace? What else is this project apart from a chest thumping exercise? What about the little matter of PRIORITIES? Perhaps elegant roads in city centres are atop the priorities of the people of Ogun state right? |
^^^ How ungracious can one get? If ever there was transformation by govt in this country, then the perfect example has got to be Oshiomhole. No one needs to convince anyone about anything, facts speak for themselves no matter how distorted. What is not in dispute is the fact that the face of Edo state has been completely transformed by Oshiomhole and that's a fact that can only be missed by the sickest of sycophants. |
@Ariyo Shut up abeg, it is your sanity that should be questioned. Libya is a country of 6million producing 1.6m barrels of oil daily, do you expect them to be struggling with their basic services? You ought to be ashamed of pointing at 'basic services' as evidence of Gadafi's success (see wetin living in Ajegunle dey cause?). Libya ought to be in the league of the Kuwaits, Qatar and the UAE yet you're here spewing crap. |
@Gbawe, So when will you stop? When will you choose to open your eyes and see you're threading the path of ignominy and basking in it? Never? Your lame retorts are just as ridiculous as your attempt to indulge in a silly fit of gallows humour while the corpses of innocents are still warm in bodybags. You just dont know when to stop do you? |
Probably a Good one for the people of the state, but just have to wonder how much of a problem a 6lane 2km road would solve in reality. I'll appreciate more information from someone that knows better than I do. @Gbawe, you do know there's no basis for comparing a road going through Moscow and a 2km footpath in Abeokuta right? I'm assuming all those gaspipes/conduits/powerlines and the rest you mentioned were supposed to no more than garnish your post as you and i and everyone else that has been to Nigeria knows gas lines do not traverse our streets and our power lines are suspended midair - i'm assuming the conduits you mentioned were water pipes!nd our power lines are suspended midair - i'm assuming the conduits you mentioned were water pipes! |
A Satirical piece mocking who? The President, the Nation or the over 20 dead innocents that had plans for their weekend? Only blood sucking vipers would revel in the sadness and misery of humans just because it gives them an opportunity to say 'I told you so'. Bloody ediots! |
^^^ You should just 'Shut Up' if you have no contribution to a topic. @Topic, if Zuma cared so much about the welfare of ordinary civilians how much aid did they ship to Somalia? Grandstanding and expecting Nigeria to play kid-brother, loved the way the rug was pulled off his feet. |
The OP was one of those that praised her appointment to the high heavens and did not hesitate to throw invectives on anyone that dared to question her supposed messianic intentions, i find it pretty curious that he's already lost faith in his heroine when she's hardly been on sit for a month - The ever shifting paradigm of a hapless critic. Perhaps there's something about SR that makes critics abandon sanity to embrace insanity or what else would explain using Texas as a yardstick for judging Nigeria? Perhaps its a comparison between The US and Nigeria that makes more sense? I just dont get you guys what is the basis for your comparisons? That we r both democracies? If the US chooses to have just 15 secretaries what has that got to do with the teething democracy of a 3rd world country? Should we also suspend our constitution and copy the one of the US? Some sanity PLEASE! |
^^^ And was that what you posted? Perhaps someone is having trouble comprehending her own posts! |
What are you yapping? In whose opinion is the endorsement 'ill advised'? Yours? Chinas? Russias? South Africas? Who gives a flying fork what they think, would you rather Nigeria sat back and played second fiddle to its UN permanent security council seat rival? Do you even know the issues at stake here? The entire AU put together are yet to spend up to half what Nigeria alone has spent on peace keeping and you expect us to be taking orders from them? South Africa has been dragging her feet on every issue from Ivory Coast to Zimbabwe to Libya like confused Russia would do and you expect Nigeria to fall in line with such gutless diplomatic tactic? And to think you had the nerves to call Gej irresponsible! |
^^^ Stop the hate abeg, what information has 'lindaikeji' given you that you're spewing so much bile? Fashola this Fashola that abeg make person hear word jare! |
homerac7:Are u for real, Like seriously? Who's the station manager? What has he been managing? How can you oversee the winding up of 6 turbines out of 8 and not recognize there's an emergency? Are u being paid to sabotage the economy? If you're being sidelined by Aliens in your country who should raise an alarm? Me? Are we being colonized all over again? If Nnaji does not recognise the real problem here then even he is unfit to oversee the ministry, but he obviously seems to have recognised the managerial failure even though he didnt spell it out. igerian. Are u for real, Like seriously?

|
All I see here is managerial ineptitude, how can you say you were unable to use manuals cos they were written in Chinese? What happened to translators? To give this is an excuse for sitting idle for years is deliberate economic sabotage and high treason, if a finger should be pointed it should go squarely in the face of the confused station manager. |
I honestly do not know which i find more ridiculous, the initial claim of oil find by the state's govt or this supposed response, these guys seem to be acting like determined clowns in a circus. How on earth can you be 'HOPING' your crude carrying pipelines have not been tampered with? What manner of dumbos do we have in positions of authority? SMH |
^^^ She's female. Understand now? |
^^^ You mean like GSM lines, tomatoes, bag of rice, kerosene, mobile phones and laptops right? |
As with most criticisms directed at Sanusi, one word sums it all up; Drivel. The CBN is an organization with Sanusi as a figurehead, its decisions are not unilateral but a general consensus of its highest policy making committee, If He (Sanusi) is a Sharia agent, then you have to agree that the likes of Tunde Lemo and other Christians/Southerners in the upper hierarchy of the CBN and even Okonjo Iweala (who spoke in favour of Sharia banking) have been completely brainwashed! As a people that live in a country with obvious animosities between the North and South and automatically Christians and Moslems, it is understandable to have reservations about a seeming ethno-religious coloured policy, but to have our cynicism impede our sense of objectivity and ability to separate issues is what I find worrying. |
^^^ Bros you harsh o. Anyway I understand where u're coming from. Actually there isnt much to talk about as concerns experience, like i said earlier i'd already applied and was trying to kind of shore up my chances and your pal helped me out big time with the application in one of the schools over there and his info have been very very handy. I'm sure i can help out if there are specific questions concerning things i'm informed about but certain things are simply beyond my scope. |
I wonder how many of those commenting on this thread actually read the piece that should generate these comments, kinda seems most are posting comments from their impression of the thread title rather than its content. The article makes it pretty clear that while the price ranges from 2k upwards in the Lagos - Ogun axis (which is understandable considering the circumstances), it still remains at the tolerable 1500-1800 in other parts of the country so i dont know what the fuss is about. |
I learnt the only people that found them useful were blacksmiths! They turned out to be cheaper than metals they bought from iron and aluminium (or whatever) mongers, so they just gathered them for their day to day smelting which kind of hastened their disappearance. |
^^^ Funny it took you this long to figure out the problem, i thought it was pretty obvious from the first question he asked. @Topic, i'd always thought Andoni and Ndoni were one and thesame, always wondered why people preferred adding an 'A' before the 'Ndoni'. Ignorant me! |
^^^ Now this has got to be plain Envy at work. Did you read the piece at all? If you did then you wouldav noticed the plants are not COCOA processing plants but PETROCHEMICAL and FERTILIZER plants. I'm sure the writer deliberately chose to quote the amount in dollars to lessen the spinning of head of dumbo's like you. If you like google heaven and earth, the cost still is $16b of investors not state fund, so if you want die start to dey die now! |
Probabaly an interesting age sha but I think the luckiest would be those born between 80's who had the privilege of savouring some of the good and maybe not-too-good old days as well as being privileged to grow up alongside a fast changing world somewhat tailored to meet their every Fantasy. I think those born in the early and mid 80's can look back at the past with some nostalgia while embracing with a good sense of appreciation, the advancements in the present. The Bridge Generation somewhat. |
^^^ So I guess the oil discovered in Kwara is 'scoopable' abi? First of its kind in the world! Una level done high. |
I really do not care what you guys think but fact is Abati in government is a good thing for Nigeria. There's only so much you can do as a critic and I for one wouldav loved to see what the likes of Soyinka, Col Umar and Gani would do with a chance to serve in govt in any capacity, but i guess we never will know would we? The result is having all those brilliant ideas and visions locked down for good in books and pages of newspapers where they r destined to rot. I strongly believe it takes a brave man to stake his reputation and accept a position in a govt he's spent so much time criticizing. Its high time we started making the highest levels of power attractive to our very best in this country, if they fail so be it but lets take solace in the fact that we had one of our best at work. You guys really need to cut Abati some slack. |
So? |
^^^ You should grant autonomy to those that are 'mature' enough to handle their independence. Their are over 700Lg's in Nigeria and less than 5% are in developed areas, the rest are conveniently shielded from public scrutiny and are lords unto themselves until State governments come calling. While I do not believe the opposition to their autonomy by state Gov's is altruistic, I believe retention of some form of control at the state level is about the only way of checking SOME excesses of Local govt's. Autonomy at this stage is more like giving the most irresponsible level of govt a blank cheque. Digging a hole to cover a hole IMO. |
