![]() Dem don come again. All these prophets wey sabi talk plenty. How many of their annual prophecies have ever come to pass anyway? Now he's changed the game to a 15 year "wait and see" format. Well, I daresay it might even happen sooner than that,if the present scheme of things continue. |
Onuokwu: Thought I was the only one who couldn't make heads or tails about what that dude up there was trying to say. He's obviously spent too much time in the politics section.Biafra or not, boko haram or not, we build because we need to build. Housing is a basic human need, as well as being an investment. |
That very first picture up there.... I don't think I can site a building like that on a small portion of land. See how cramped the space around the house is. A fine house such as this needs some space around it. Space for garden, carpark space, space for kids to play.... If the plot I have isn't big enough, I would buy another. Building a smaller house is another option. |
clevadani:I would have almost agreed with yo, but..... You are kind of wrong! Yes, a capable leader could help and impact the people better. However, this is only possible if the political and economic system is structured to begin from the grassroots. In Nigeria, the system is such that, governance begins from the top (federal level) and the benefits trickle down till it gets to the root (local govt level and the council wards each of them contain) By d time it gets to this stage, there is absolutely nothing left. I can bet my left nut that in the next 20 years, no change will happen to this road, except there is a huge social media outcry. |
Like everyone else, he has an opinion on what he feels might happen if Biafra is actualized. Now, what makes his opinion unique, or perceived to be the most reasonable? Same reverend who swore that Buhari was God sent, but now has to eat his words ![]() You never let a fear of the unknown prevent you from pursuing your goals. Moreover, is there any perfect society on earth? So because an Enugu man would antagonise an Imo man, we should be content to subsist in this very flawed contraption called Nigeria? I don't think Biafra is the cure all for the Igbos. No doubt, there is strength in unity, but the country has never been united, and president Buhari has placed every foot wrong in ensuring that Nigerians are more divided than ever. For the people of the SE, I would rather they forge their own path and chart a destiny for themselves, rather than continuing in an experiment that has failed for 50 years and will fail for a 100 more years if we continue with it...and the powers that be have sworn to continue with it. Its been downhill since independence. |
Danhumprey:I'll give you a hint on what Goody left for Bubu.... My dear Bubu, Now that you are about to occupy my seat, you need to realize a few truths. Governance is not an easy task. There are days you will wish you never contested for this office. Our people are as complex as they are diverse. But don't let it overwhelm you. Always keep a bottle of Sapele's finest near by. A couple of shots before you begin your day can work wonders. The big problems suddenly appears like kindergaten level tests. Trust me. I took the liberty of leaving a bottle in the bottom drawer for you. I'm sure you can afford a replacement once it finishes. Take your job seriously, but never take your aides and hangers on that serious, because they are bound to tell you only what they feel you want to hear, not what you need to hear. I certainly hope the dogs and the baboons won't get soaked in blood, now that you have finally achieved your ultimate goal. Good bye. Otuoke beckons. You know where to find me in the creeks if you need me. |
![]() This argument over the picture used.....reminds me of a builder in this forum who uses watermarks on every picture he uploads. That's the way to make pics exclusively yours. |
Our nomadic brothers seem to have recently developed a hard on for the rural folks in Edo state. This bandit grossly misjudged the herdsmen. Whatever made him feel they can't butcher people on salah day? |
That's sad |
Now, that's weird. They broke down your door, and the noise wasn't enough to wake you? Or you forgot to lock up? Do you live in a bungalow or on the ground floor without window and door burglary protectors? You didn't say any of these. If its been three weeks without much effort on your part at locating your stolen properties, then I'm going to assume you have already come to terms that they are gone for good, and you have moved on. I once heard about such an incident, and the victim insisted that the thieves administered agents such as chloroform through his window to put him into deep sleep before they broke in and carted away his properties. |
Abagworo:Ahh....the most visceral anus licker has spoken. If I didn't know your antecedent, that comment of yours would have left me terribly puzzled. First time I would read anywhere that it was "Owerri youths" who killed the poor boy, and not security agents. The youths shot him dead, or the youths asked him to help clear out his parents wares from the market? Does Rochas ass taste that good in your mouth?? It must, for the way you relentlessly spring up in his defence, even when you don't need to. Didn't realize that Owerri and Ohaji Egbema people are two different tribes, according to you. |
Pavore9:Naija is like that lock that any key can open ![]() The country is so sick in many ways. |
TPound:Have never heard about this market till now. A quick question please....what kind of cars are on sale there? Registered or tokunbo rides? Can I get cars from, say 2005 models upwards? I mean, is this Owode market comparable with Berger/Trinity? |
TPound:Have never heard about this market till now. A quick question please....what kind of cars are on sale there? Registered or tokunbo rides? Can I get cars from, say 2005 models upwards? I mean, is this Owode market comparable with Berger? |
As if anyone expected them to say something different. Of course, why won't they vote for the continuation of the apparatus that lines their pocket and fills their stomach? Only someone suffering from delusion would wait in anticipation of what the bunch of potbelly papas will come up with. |
![]() And how is this a surprise? Osinbanjo was selected just as GEJ, to fulfill all righteousness, and ensure he brings in the vote from his region. All those who keep saying that the acting president is fully in charge are just ignorant or mischievous. Just like GEJ, he was selected because he is timid enough to sit on his hands when his principal is away, and is not expected to have the ambition of aspiring to power. Remember how GEJ always look sheepish while Yar Adua was incapacitated in a foreign land, such that he was even scared of sneezing in the presence of the then first lady? It took the boldness of late Dora Akunyili to challenge the power mongers then. We are seeing a repeat. Unfortunately, there's nobody in the likes of Akunyili within this administration. Just moochers, parasites and asslickers. Back then, when Atiku showed his hand and OBJ had to rally to put him in his place, they realized the need to nominate dummies as VP. Such VPs have no hope of ever becoming president except the President dies or gets |
hornyofife:Thanks. I have already searched online, and its only that link you posted came up with that Paul Anber book. |
hornyofife:Bro. That book you posted some pages of it (Nigeria and the Ibos) would you be kind enough to share it with me, please? Would be mighty appreciative if you can mail a copy to me. I will post my email address if you oblige. Your comments are apt. |
Suicide bombings had reduced almost to zero by the end of 2015. Gradually, its now becoming almost a daily occurrence. This is what religion and its fanatics have reduced north eastern naija to. And to think that late Dora Akunyili once said suicide bombings can never be a part of Nigeria. I never even imagined the country would be competing with the likes of Afghanistan, Iraq and Yemen in this horrible ideology. Hmmm......religion |
![]() Pastor professor Osinbanjo is now forced to speak like the typical naija politician. On top of the situation.... when you don't even know what the situation is. All of them has been on top of the BH situation since 2010, yet thousands keep dying every year. |
![]() Even though Igbos and other southern tribes who reside in the north stand to lose a lot if they are made to leave that region, we all know that the change of heart by Shettima and co isn't because they suddenly had the milk of affection and brotherliness flowing in their veins. The north is horrified about the notion of restructuring. The realization that their dumb ultimatum for Igbos to vacate the north could lead to restructure or even a break up of the country as we know it, is what is making them jittery. Jittery that their feeding bottle would cease to come in the form of monthly federal allocations. They can't get any richer by acquiring abandoned properties. They can't create the wealth tthat would sustain them, or even develop new ones in their place. |
![]() State of the nation, courtesy of the protected ones. For all those who see nothing wrong in their quest to pass the bill for grading reserves, I hope you become a victim to them soon. How a person who have parents who are rich cattle rearers believes that kidnapping is his destiny beats me. If he and his type have had the benefit of education, they would have upgraded their family business by going into ranching. As it is, the dumb generation before them keep giving birth to dumber generation of societal misfits in their millions every year. More worrisome is how it now looks normal to see these herdsmen/kidnappers to be armed with AK 47 rifles and not get challenged by security forces over it! What kind of country is this, for goodness sake?? |
![]() It isn't just that almost everyone is feeling frustrated. The system itself is in shambles. A system that has made everyone so scared of rendering assistance to the helpless man, such that he was lying by the roadside for 3 hours before he was taken to the hospital. For hitting the victim several times on the head also shows he was intent on doing a lot of damage. God help us. The average Nigerian has become a walking time bomb. |
Thought the report will at least mention how he criticized Saraki. I'm tired of this present govt. What crime is there in criticizing a public servant? Eexcept the man insulted him, I see no reason why the court should entertain the suit. Nigerians, your freedom and humanity is gradually coming to an end. |
![]() Baba agbaya. At least Trump has shown his mettle by building his business empire. Even if he is not a natural politician, he can at least point to achievements he made before vying for office. What exactly is OBJ even pointing at? He even deviated from what he was meant to discuss just to take a jab at Trump. "Making Africa Work" is the book title, not "How Trump can make Africa work" |
Her narrative is vague at most. The sort of half baked stories we get fed nowadays in the name of news can be irritating. A decent outfit would have at least investigated some of her claims before releasing this piece of trash. She said 100. At least confirm about 10% of the identities of her victims who died mysteriously, and speak with some of the living ones who had become impotent, then the story would have a level of credibility. I mean, it was prostitution, something that is obtainable worldwide. I'm not blaming her victims (if there were any) Just can't accept the story at face value, without some compelling factors. Africa the dark continent. |
sarrki:Na wah o. The quality of brains BMC employed to defend their ineptitude is amazing. It isn't a crime to at least pretend to be smart by half nawww! How do you begin to evaluate Christianity in Nigeria from your experience with your dubious pastor friend? Of course, everyone knows there are wolves in sheep's clothing everywhere. Would you say Islam in Nigeria is hypocrisy due to the shenanigans of a single imam? Be guided. Moreover, Christianity is not about religion. It isn't a religion. It is a personal relationship that exists by faith between one and his God. |
Odosa1:Well, do your count again. July to July is 13 calendar months, not 12. An annual rent should read July to June. Means your rent is due every July. |
15th Rule Of Slay Mamas Survival: Always have a fall back plan. In the event shyte hits the fan and your cash cow isn't spitting out the greenbacks, you won't starve to death or sell them Gucci shoes to afford a bag of rice ![]() I made that up. ![]() Still, the truth is, you gotta have marketable skills to be able to pull through. Having a pretty face and a spanking bod can only get you so far. |
Sylva2147:What rubbish are you spitting? Among the past presidents, how many contested for the position as much as Buhari did? Which one of them went about it like his very life depended on it? Why am I even responding to your pointless crap? Is it now a matter of what I myself could do? I am not contesting, and not everyone of us would become a president. Since Bubu has proven to be a failure, plus his ill health further incapacitating him, why can't he just resign and let's have a breather? Don't quote me if you got nothing meaningful to say. |
Fact. A fact so obvious to anyone with half a brain, you will have to wonder why his online asslickers, especially here on NL could still summon the courage and shamelessness to support an intellectually bereft relic. You'd think they didn't know how woefully he performed in 1984. It was Tunde Idiagbon who actually did all the job, while Bubu, as the military head of state, took all the glory. Pardon him for he knows absolutely zilch about running any economy. What about his anti corruption and anti terrorism crusade? If he doesn't have the foggiest idea of demand and supply and market economy, what about his so called integrity that wouldn't permit any thieving politician or any deranged jihadist to walk free? Ah! Tinubu and his sophisticated brothers have brought such a mess upon us, that it would take a decade to break even from the horrible medieval voodooism mallam Bubu is torturing us with. If we are to pardon most of the youths who campaigned and voted for an inept Bubu because they were too young to realize how empty he was in 1984, what about the "old cargoes" who were adults back then? The "elders" who retrieved a relic that ought to be consigned to a museum, forced him to wear suits and look presentable, so that lobotomised folks (the ones called zombies) would still vote him into power. Emmm...the people deserve the sort of leaders they get. Nigerians have shown they are too dense to rise above tribal and religious sentiment to vote a worthy candidate into office. As at today, Bubu is the best Nigerians can offer. He is the best among all of us, which is why he was made number one citizen. Pathetic! |
Ain't nothing wrong with your wife. Provided you both have gone for tests and certified ok, then you have only one thing to worry about: KEEPING YOUR ANXIETY IN CHECK. Trust me, I've been down this route before. Fact is, it seemed you were narrating my own experiences. The pains and unusually heavy flow your wife got was due to abstinence for a long period. Her body is now getting used to regular sex, and she may not take in if you guys are so focused on the her getting pregnant, instead of enjoying intimacy with each other. I am talking from first hand experience, bro. Most times, when a couple are so fixated on getting pregnant, it doesn't happen. But once you decide to let pregnancy be at the back burner, and rather get down to enjoy passionate and regular sex, boom! Pregnancy will happen. ![]() Take this from a brother who learned this the hard way. And, if you plan on leaving your wife for a couple more years without sex, it could mean starting this process afresh. Stay with your wife for at least a whole year, making love a minimum of twice weekly, and she will most definitely take in. Its not a matter of being a one minute or hundred minutes man. Your wife's hormones just needs to be juiced up with regular, old fashioned loving! All the best. Be at rest. Ain't nothing wrong with your wifey. |
