blackpanda:The same social media were not losers when APC employed it to win the presidential election in 2015, right? Keep kidding yourself. Folks are wiser now. In our politics, public perception carries a huge power. You will see that power in the coming general elections. |
Ok. Same thing he did with GEJ. Have we fared any better with his inputs? I guess not. Contrary to OBJ's advice that the dinosaur in Aso Rock shouldn't seek reelection, I prefer he does. I prefer he goes through the polls and gets disgraced. That way, it will sink into his skull that his people are fed up with him. Him resigning will make it look like he's human after all, and is doing the nation a favor. If, on the other hand, he wins ( provided the election is as fair as can be in Naija standard) then it shows that we haven't come of age in our political growth and orientation. It shows we are not ready for a better alternative. Weak, innefectual leaders must never be given a second opportunity. You perform poorly, you should get kicked out, no sentiments. |
Shamzo4u: ![]() When people like you, who have absolutely no idea about topical issues, bring their ignorance online, it can be exasperating. Who told you they are goin to rent the land? Are you an alien? No one is disputing that livestock farming isn't good business. That's not the issue. Look, man. I don't even know where to begin to start explaining things to you. I dont even know why i bothered to respond to this post of yours. I just hope you go and read your history books and make your own researches about the Fulani and their conquests. This is the 21st century. Get a brain, or go extinct! |
Adieza.... You are just a kid. You should be in your 20s, so its understandable your future is well ahead of you. I like this topic you created, believe me. Unlike most people who are chiding you here, I am making this post to share something with you. I won't claim I have seen it all, or know it all, or what not. The cattle colony idea itself is a good one. It would have minimized the frequent clashes between farmers and herdsmen, if it doesn't totally stop it. But, apart from the fact that THIS IS NIGERIA, where nothing goes the way its supposed to, the more important factor you should consider is, who are these cattle colonies going to be created for. The people behind the idea, and the people who are going to occupy the colony. The "colonialists", if you will. These two questions doesn't require much thoughts. The people behind it and the people who wants it have a provenance and a reputation that precedes them, and is, to put it mildly, horrific. They already have something in the semblance of a colony in Southern Kaduna. Ask the indigenes how that " colony" came to be....and you will be cured of any delusions you might have that this call for colonies is altruistic. Deal with these folks at your own detriment. That is guaranteed. This is a subtle jihad. Nothing on earth can convince me otherwise. |
Askmewhy:I watched the shameful display yestrday. He kept saying how he was employed as an aide on security matters in US for abt 10 years, yet he can't be analytically state his opinion on security issues. He was just loud and emotional, a total waste of the time spent on watching him. Just like most people in APC, he hasn't a clue of what is required of him. |
sarrki:Sorry man, but that's a lame excuse. A living, breathing human, who is not physically or mentally incapacitated, "allowed" a cabal to take over his government. Seriously? ![]() How did this amazing feat happen? Was he tied up with rope and gagged, or he suddenly became brain dead? The two classic examples of a government getting hijacked by a cabal in Nigeria's recent history was during when late Yar Adua was terminally ill, and when late governor Suntai had an aircraft accident. Now, tell me how does Buhari fit into such scenario? Is he dead, in a vegetative state, or mentally incapacitated? And to think that the apology of a president whose wife and daughter has dismissed as incompetent is trying to get reelected |
Reelectbuhari:And you? What relevance do you have? There you go, with your moniker declaring to re-elect a brain dead grandpa who couldn't stitch a decent sentence in writing together, even if his very life depends on it. You call yourself a "leader of tomorrow", yet you're asking your senile grandpa to take charge of your tomorrow, when he has already messed up your today. |
Abogwara:Ok. You have answered the question. No need to get emotional over it. ![]() Be kind enough to let us know if Rochas decides to dash his kinsmen from Futa Djallon land in our backyard. Purehuman, take note. The person who should know said its fake news. |
Purehuman:Abagworo or Abogwara or imo1stson or whatever moniker he goes by for the first quarter of this year, should be able to answer that question. He is Rochas' "paddy paddy" The one who knows what time the mischievous old geezer usually changes his diapers. ![]() Although I haven't seen any credible source of this info, other than the rumors all over cyberspace. |
Huh That female medical doctor who narrated her ordeal at the embassy, didn't she see the notice there? Religion does diminish some people's brain capacity, but with us blacks, the brain ceases its function. Niqab has its origin from the culture of certain Arabs. Much later, it gained acceptance into their religion, especially with those who love to suppress their women. Here's one "educated" woman Nigerian who absolutely insists she won't expose her ugly mug for whatever reason. As if anyone is interested in seeing what she looked like. Religious extremists. ![]() |
This shouldn't be a shock. That's the state of affairs in the country. Human life has no more value. When you consider that most of the deaths recorded in this month of January alone are from killers who go scot free and might never get prosecuted, you can then have a better perspective. The easiest crime to commit in Nigeria now is murder. |
skimanski:Thanks! I'm sure this style will save on money spent on roof material and woods. I'm seriously considering this. |
madridguy:When your paymasters say something utterly stvpid, you just type "Ok" because you don't overtly want to show that in your heart, they are full of shiit. Neither can you openly critic their harebrained ideas and utterances because your monthly stipend is very important to you. How much is your integrity and common sense worth? That is, if you still have any left. You are in a pitiful situation, like choosing between a fermented plate of eba or a serving of decomposed beans. |
skimanski:THE ROOF!! Please, can you explain a bit more about the roofing style used here? Is it slanted? The angle from which the picture was taken doesn't explain this. It looks nice. Quite a departure from the common ones with high posts. |
OreMI22:Let's keep the message alive. Gradually, with one convert at a time, people will become aware of this. Many of our people who live overseas visit this site to keep acquainted with what goes on in the country. All they need is the awareness. No sane human living oversea who wishes to visit SE will want to first land in Lagos or Abuja first, unless they need to take care of important matters in those places. Quite sure if you were to compare the figures of passengers the airport handled in 2016 and 2017, there should be a certain amount of increase. It's a gradual process. One that is bound to grow in leaps and bounds in a few short years. |
But, seriously, what sort of answers do you expect here? If you can't answer this question, being the closest to your wife and all, do you really expect right answers here? |
Alariiwo:Do you remember operation python dance? ![]() That's right. You guys laughed at and made a mockery of Igbos when the Fulani led Nigerian army killed and injured unarmed Igbos. You guys uploaded pictures of them stripped and made to swim in mud all over NL. Ever since then, you call their land potor potor republic. You see, the problem with Igbos and Yorubas is they ignore the common enemy and fight each other. That's why, till this day, Fulanis are trampling all over you and your lands. At least Igbos have acknowledged that Fulanis are evil and shouldn't be trusted. What you and your people decide about them will determine if your great grandkids will still have a land to call theirs. Remember Ilorin. |
winterfell007:Please, pretend that you are enlightened a bit. Free movement among ECOWAS member countries doesn't imply you should come into the country illegally. It only means you don't need a visa. But you have to identify yourself FIRST. One is supposed to present an international passport as a means of identifying yourself and your nationality, at any point of entry (land borders, airports or seaports) after which an immigration official stamps it and let's you in. When leaving the country, an exit stamp is punched on your passport. That is the civilized process, worldwide. Without such identification, how can you know if a foreigner is from Chad or Sudan (which is not part of ECOWAS) These ones entered illegally. They did not go through the procedure, so they broke the law, and should be deported. |
Rochas2023:Chairman! God bless you plenty. I may not have put it exactly the way you did, but this is the same message I was trying to pass across to Purehuman. I told him that the first step should be a change in the political system and governance we presently run. Perhaps this is what the restructuring many are clamoring for would address. Federal government is empowered to scuttle any sort of capital project it doesn't support. And believe me, once its in Igbo land, it won't hesitate to clamp down on it. The way the country is structured, such that all the power is concentrated in the center is counter productive. Which is why the mentally challenged north will sacrifice everything to retain federal power. However, that being said, there should always be a way to legally evade such interference from the FG. |
sarrki:There are times you seem almost intelligent. Just when I'm about to commend you, you just make a very retardedd and senseless comment. Say what you will about IPOB and their ideologies, but everything Kanu said about Buhari and his government has happened, and more is still happening. You are typing shit just to earn the pittance for asslicking. Walk the streets in the SE and some areas surrounding it. Bubu has effortlessly won more adherents to IPOB. Kanu is not IPOB. He's just one out of millions. One who got carried away and didn't know the best way to manage his fame and followership. But I don't expect you to realize this fact, cooped up in a remote shack, behind ur keypads. |
Purehuman:You are still confusing tax with donation. Tax is a legally enforceable payment which you are mandated to pay. Keyword: mandatory. Donations or pledges are different. It is not illegal if you don't give. Call it sort of a moral obligation. Your dad you mentioned, are you going to tell me that he could have been jailed if he didn't pay towards tarring that road? I hope you have realized the flurry of mentions you received after you made that post about taxing people who live abroad? ![]() That's because it isn't realistic. The act of giving (or donating) is still practiced by communities all over Igbo land till this day. However, you are equating it on a national scale (in the SE) and making it compulsorily. Nah, bro. It can't work. People can give, but people can't be compelled to give. |
Purehuman:I admire your zeal. Your patriotism is endearing. But, you are being emotional. Using your heart, rather than your head, so to speak. See, if the proper system isn't in place, and you go ahead to make such financial sacrifice, quite certain you will end up demoralized and frustrated. Do you know why Christians give a lot in tithes and offerings? Its because they view such money as "giving to God" Also, because they see their pastors as "upright, honest, righteous" and he will do the right thing with such money. That's why they go beyond their means to make financial pledges they could scarcely afford. Their headache. Now, in politics, its not the same. Our politicians are rightly seen as greedy, selfish crooks who will flee with public money. Now, there is no strong institutions in place to check this evil. Who in his right senses will afford to give his hard earned money to such government, be it in taxes or donations? You also seem to think its OK for folks who are taxed for everything overseas, to get taxed at home too. I prefer you call it a freewill donation. That way, it doesn't sound so harsh to the ears ![]() |
Purehuman:Look man, with the sort of shitty people who govern you, there's no amount of money you sink into projects that will yield the expected outcome. You should talk about changing the system of politics and governance FIRST! Most of the money that is meant for capital projects usually end in private pockets...and nothing happens!! As much as I crave for development in the region, there's no way I will pay any tax levied on me for living overseas, when I know that the bulk of the money I pay is going to be embezzled. Once government becomes responsible, you would see people (including me) who will be more than willing to pay, with the view that such money is an "investment" into the future of their people and region. Its called nationalism. Do you know a semi government agency that tried to persuade people living abroad to send money meant for building project through it. I forget the name of this establishment. The idea behind it was this: a lot of people who live oversea depends on friends, families and relations to help them buy land and build houses. Many cases of such money ending up being squandered were rife. So, a group of people hit on the idea that they could set up a company to tackle this issue. They help you buy land in your choice location and build the sort of structure you desire, while you are charged a certain percentage for their services. It was a great idea. But knowing the way the country is, I told myself to monitor the company's performance for a couple of years at least. Well, till now, I haven't heard much about any project they helped execute for anyone. Guys who told me about the company are not even willing to give them a trial. If they default or swindle you, going through legal prosecution is another lengthy nightmare. No be Nigeria?? You mentioned a couple of countries that adopted that form of taxation. What's the proof you have concerning it? I'm all for progress. But I'm not gonna be dumb or let my emotions over it make me a cash cow for crooked politicians. Igbo land has developed largely through self reliance. A honest and responsible government could make the development faster by transparent use of money it is entrusted with. Remember how most primary and secondary schools in rural areas are established from self help (hence the common name "community school" All these happened in the good old days when some amount of honesty existed. Igbos still have that spirit, but people are very wary now. There's very little accountability for finances in public offices. Finally, I retract my strong words. I'm sorry for that. One love! |
Purehuman:What sort of retardedd idea is this?? Are you for real? Tax Igbos who live outside the region? What?! Why?! How?! ![]() Can you even hear yourself? Do you think this is in any way sensible or even workable? What planet did you come from? |
Oh dear! They just had to target a helpless woman. Two helpless lives actually! |
ChimaAgbalajob:Sensible input. I totally agree with this. Let the old evolve with the new. If the owners of these old buildings feel the need to demolish them and rebuild, so be it. Government MUST NOT destroy them under any circumstances. Cities and towns grow at the pace and capacity of its inhabitants. The most important thing is to have a master plan in place for the developing suburbs, else in the next few decades, they will become an eyesore. |
KanwuliaExtra:Easy man.... ![]() I totally agree the rooms color themes are horrible. The decors are amateurish. I won't call it a shyte hole hotel, though. That building is worth 10 digits. If I were to acquire that place, first thing is to redo the paintings and change some of the furnishings. Who the hell paints a hotel room with pink?? Yuck! |
![]() I still refuse to call this country a shithole...but we're getting there. As for the president, he is worse than shitt. A lame piece of unfeeling skin and bones whose demise is going to be as painful and as miserable as the helpless people getting slaughtered under his watch. This is the purpose of ensuring all the top security chiefs in the country are his kinsmen. |
![]() Who isn't fed up with the way FG is handling this issue? Seem like this is a good period to be a Fulani. They dictate to the president on what to do. They kill at will with the support of government security agencies. They have the DSS, NPF, MOPOL, NA, NAF, NN and even EFCC as their bodyguards, errand boys, personal maids, informants, and whatever else they wish. They don't have to be afraid of arrests or prosecutions. I mean, what other benefits does the rest of us non-fulanis enjoy as citizens of this contraption called Nigeria? Buhari's second tenure, if it happens, will ensure the rest of us becomes their cows. |
Isn't it thought provoking that after scores of deaths, the president and commander-in-chief of the federal republic of Nigeria, the most populous black nation on earth, has not deemed it fit to publicly condemn the killings? He is not even bothered with paying lip service to the situation. This just shows how full of disdain he is for the victims of these Fulani terrorists. Same president who clamped down heavily and ordered the military to shoot unarmed IPOB protesters suddenly can't do same to confirmed Fulani killers. Disgusting! For those that say he is handling the affair "privately", have you seen any impact of it? Just today, there has been attacks in Taraba state. Yet, we have a president who is sworn to defend the security and territorial integrity of his country and countrymen. If any disaster were to happen today in Europe, his will be among the first condolence messages to be received. A product of Northern Nigeria's backwardness, who got propped up by power hungry jackals to kick us back into the dark ages. Next to the civil war 50 years ago, this man's administration is the worst this country is experiencing. I cringe in horror to imagine him coming back for a second term. |
awa:Nah. No need to call for his ban. Dude is a mental case. His rantings are a much needed comic relief here. Its going to get to the extent that he will keep a pet cow in his living room, just so it would help remind him of his Fulani rapists after they are long gone. ![]() He enjoys Fulani dicks so much, and is jealous that they may get bored of him and befriend the massob guys. Hence his rantings and obsessions. Pity him a little. His mind is in a horrible place in this period. |
omenkaLives:There you go again. ![]() Your obsession with massob and some other imaginary enemies is making you schizophrenic. Fulani guys kill your people at will, and all you are bothered with is a massob that takes it with levity. Look here, boy. Massob isn't your problem. Has never been, will never be. You just got deep seated hatred that's eating you up from the inside. Match that hatred with action, if you're not the yellow bellied, lilly livered wrapper tying bitch that your kinsmen has revealed themselves to be. Direct that action at the killers of your people, or, if you are that petrified of going up in arms against those uncircumcised dicks you deify, then direct it southwards. You'll be received warmly. |
