They needed to practice and get in good shape right here, before departing to their paradise for the main show. It won't be funny once any of them gets to paradise only to realize he isn't fit enough to bulldoze 72 virgins! Why are they buying viagra, when they have their potent local brew called burantashi? Hypocrites! They are against western education and inventions, yet they prefer foreign made viagra over burantashi ![]() |
Whether FG tries to negotiate or not isn't the problem. The problem is how the "born to rule" class takes the rest of us for granted. Whatever is happening in Niger Delta now isn't just because GEJ lost the election, as many insinuated. Far from that. When Bubu got sworn in, he couldn't wait to show his disdain for those he referred to as "the 5%" who didn't give him their votes, and who shouldn't expect to be treated equally as other constituents that gave him above 95%. That was a very parochial attitude. Coming from someone who should be an elder statesman, who is expected to navigate the ship of a multi-ethnic nation, that has deep suspicions of other tribes and their intentions, that was a very unfortunate and a very misguided remark. Asari Dokubo recently commented that Bubu should look elsewhere for the money he will use in taking care of the "95 or 97%" that matters more to him. Very few disagreed with Asari Dokubo over this. It simply showed that the president is no more matured than he was when he forcibly took power in 1983 or so. Everyone referred to him as an ethnic bigot, and he kept proving everyone right so far. He approved a budget of billions to fix Borno and adjourning states. He approved billions for importing grasses and creating grazing reserve. These two projects are in favor of his kinsmen and their private businesses. Yet, he showed little concern for the regions that have been the victims of his savage kinsmen, the Fulani herdsmen. He never made plans for communal farmers who have largely been victims of his nomadic brethren. All the money for these projects are coming from the "minor and unwanted 5%". Does that seem fair? What's more, he keeps matching his words with action. His appointments into office of several heads of Federal organizations just three days ago, were mainly people from the north. He leaves no one in doubt that he thinks the Hausas and Fulanis are superior to the rest of us. He should learn diplomacy. Governance has gone beyond the economics and politics of the 80s when he held brief. He never even bothered to undergo any self improvement by way of education and learning after he left office. Well, we are saddled with this unfortunate situation his narrow mindedness has foisted upon us. I don't see a way out soon, because Bubu is as stubborn as he is ignorant. |
I totally understand what you are pointing at. The uninformed will only call you an alarmist. The ignorant will say you are blowing so much hot air. The wise will see the handwriting on the wall. Like a wise guy once told me: Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. I only hope that my preparations are sufficient enough to buffer me and mine from any impending doom. If you can't smell the coffee and realize something sinister is brewing, too bad. I hope and pray for the best, but I'm also preparing for the worst case scenario. Knowing the way black people let religion and tribal sentiments cloud logical reasoning, it's very possible the worst case scenario will play out. If, at the end of it all, doom doesn't befall us, it's still a win-win for the prepared. |
Naija reporters sha! So, they couldn't at least mention the name of said polytechnic, just to make prospective students aware? |
This isn't funny o! When did dollar clock 384 naira in the parallel market as depicted up there? |
This is rubbish! So both herdsmen and community pay 500k each for the number of casualties on either side. The community pays over 46k for each cow killed. What about the crops on the farmlands that were destroyed in the first place? We absolutely have no government. This is setting a dangerous precedent, and is no way near a reasonable or lasting solution. |
In 2 years of use, they will all become more or less scraps. Same as what happened with BRT. Same as what befalls every new thing in naija. |
chydii:True that. Only Bubu can see and envisage the future he had in mind with his style of governance. I solemnly wish he completes his tenure, and clear up this confusion. |
0. Bornu, Nigeria . So, Bornu is ground zero? Bornu is the devil's kitchen, right?Well, seeing the number of people that has been killed in that state leaves little room for argument. With the exception of Honduras among the top 5, religion played a big part. Umm...how did you arrive by this list? Via body counts? |
How did they take over the communities? According to your report, they sneaked into the communities in the evening, killed abt 13, burned some houses, but had escaped back to their hideout when police went to check the next day. This is still their tactic of hitting soft targets. |
nissparts:That's what I know about him on NL |
![]() The question should be, would you entrust someone who is as vain as this with your auto transaction and shipment? I would be scared to. Though appearances can be deceitful, this is not really portraying the picture of a business minded fella. |
This doesn't make the road contractor/ construction worker selfish. He has the quality of his job to uphold, and this involves ensuring the road doesn't get flooded when it rains. To achieve this, the road has to be slightly elevated, with drainages supplied at both sides. The normal thing is for roads to be constructed FIRST, before buildings are sited on either sides of the road. This way, the house builder checks the road elevation, and does the proper filling on his site, to elevate it above the road level. That is the normal order. But since government hardly does things in order here, there is no choice than having it in reverse. That's the cause of the problem here. Don't blame the road construction crew. They did their job. Government and town planning authorities didn't do theirs. |
![]() That's the state of things in naija. Everyone has to flex their muscle a little, and get their 5 minutes of fame. Including mentally unstable folks. |
Perhaps his people will take his advise seriously if they made it a "fatwa" Almajiri advocates up north don't take anything seriously, unless it has the backing of their sharia. Haven't seen such backwardness as that of theirs. Even the emirs still secretly marry under-aged brides. |
Dead brains up north. The same religion they put ahead of self development that has led to them becoming the scum of the earth, that had given rise to generations of locusts which has made their land desolate, is what they feel they need to forcefully convert underaged females into. I have seen where Islam is practiced among civilized cultures, unlike what obtains among the very backward and mentally challenged denizens of sub sahara Africa. When your faith accords you peace and fulfillment, you won't need to force anyone to join you. They will actually plead for you to make them converts. Clearly, they haven't learned a thing from the horrors of the millions of almajiri they keep churning out into the streets. |
What a retard! Amnesty for economic looters? This country is doomed. Coming from an elected law maker, it just makes you ask the question, what is wrong with us? Did God create people without brains to lead us in this forsaken country? |
What fate, other than ending up as "bush meat" is in store for these creatures? Such a waste. The animals whose life matters in naija, are cows. That is, until they are sold to be slaughtered. I'm sure every animal would gladly accept the opportunity to get reincarnated as cattle that its owners even kill humans for, rather than as wild animals. ![]() |
cold:God bless you for this observation. Africans. The way we reason, or rather, refuse to reason is such a tragedy. There is everything wrong with us and our approach to handling things. |
I actually see myself in their exploits. Nice job! |
Dreal11247:Surely fail how? You must be kidding yourself. Perhaps you haven't heard how Turkey, one time the biggest forte for Christianity, was turned around. You don't stop a cancerous growth by praying and wishing. You need to surgically remove it. Wherever this people are, they spread the seed of hate. They will kill one of their own who is an adult and who willingly converts to Christianity, but they see nothing wrong in kidnapping a 9 year old girl, hide and forcibly convert her without the parents or guardian being aware, then marry her off without parental consent to one of their own. The government and police now seem helpless in the face of their sharia authority. Do you see why even the president one time advocated for the spread of sharia law across the country? Do you even think that he would condemn this practice if brought to his knowledge? While anyone should be free to practice whatever faith or religion he desires, abducting under aged girls for forceful conversion and marriage is absolutely wrong in all ramifications. I know some Muslims who will cringe in horror at such a thing, but they are mostly not the sort of backward and evil people you guys claim to be your countrymen. That's the breed of people you are sharing a "country" with. |
This illegal and very wicked practice has been going on for a long time, silently. They believe they can spread the religion to the south by indoctrinating female minors, get them married off to one of theirs, and eventually have her mix with her people much later, to get converts. This people play very mean, very dirty and very repulsive. That government and it's police force cannot seem to act against this still points to the fact that the country is a dead one. Impunity reign supreme here. To all those who keep screaming "one Nigeria!", enjoy the oneness, until perhaps, your under-aged daughter or sister gets abducted one day. Then the scales might fall off your eyes. |
Huh. Thought the media said dude was lying low in Cote d'Ivoire? |
TPAND:Sorry about this misadventure. Yes, some people can go to horrible lengths just to make a penny. What's worse is, if you decide to take up this case, by making a report to the authorities, you would still end up wasting precious time, as very little attempt are made at enforcing any rule. In naija, so long as you didn't die from consuming an expired product, they will tell you to thank God and forget about it. Meanwhile, the wicked trader will keep on doing his thing after he drops some money and is let off the hook |

![]() Nice of you to finally update us. Been wondering if things are going ok. Such is the challenge one faces when money gets involved in an otherwise familial setting. Yeah, I think you now have a good reason to sell off the container. You are bound to have issues with your aunt if you maintain that space. She'd view you as "enemy to her financial progress" of getting at least 20k from renting out that space. So, move on. There are always opportunities elsewhere. |
I don't know how true that reply from somebody up there is, who said you get charged $40 irrespective of the amount involved. I do make transactions on domiciliary accounts, and get charged 1% of the amount sent, if it is below $1000. For amounts above $1,000, I get charged 0.5%. I don't think every bank charges same amount though. |
peaceuntous:I identify with your position on this. There are times when actions like this speaks louder than a thousand bullets. A general boycott of beef and its by products by everyone in the south, as a protest against this madness will speak volumes. Do this for just a month, and the consequence will reflect on their cattle business. They will learn that their business can only thrive with permission and acceptance from all us. |
omenka:Seriously? Coming from you, this is a new low. Have some self respect, bro. Throwing shades at people who have nothing to do with this calamity is unbecoming. |
It's never right to meet evil with evil. But perhaps this is the language our northern brethren only understand. You will see these religious dolts go berserk if their under-aged kids are getting abducted and forcefully converted to christianity. What makes any sane person thinks it's all right to take a minor into custody for years, without the knowledge or permission of the parents, and convert her to a religion she had no idea of? Even if the girl had willingly submitted herself to them, the proper thing to do, seeing that she is still a minor, is to send her back to her parents or guardian, and tell her that once she attains the legal age of an adult, and can bear the responsibilities for her decision, then she can be taken in to learn the rudiments of whatever religion she chooses. We are so handicapped for ever sharing a geographical entity referred to as a country with these people. This is so absurd in every ramification. They manufacture children they can't care for with reckless abandon, who then gets unleashed on the streets as almajiri beggars. They haven't been able to fully care for their own, yet they seek for additional baby manufacturers from the south. How come they are not abducting males as well? Until the offenders are arrested and tried as kidnappers, this will never stop. Their emirs and prominent leaders are all in support of this madness. By the way, I think the girl's father is a bigger dolt for keeping quiet over the incident all this time. the asswipe even admitted he heard about the case of Ese Oruru, and this didn't even spur him to speak up and report to the authorities? They only resorted to prayers, and no action! Dumb religious dolts! |
Nah. Nigerian banks would be taking a mighty risk by issuing credit cards at this time. Our system doesn't have a credible database and good security to counter credit card frauds yet. It doesn't take much to forge identities and other documents that would facilitate a credit card issuance. Even though cards are linked to one's account, it still doesn't take much to open new accounts with forged documents, register for BVN with it, even register SIM cards, all with the intent of discarding all of it once you max out the card. |
