ROYALD:Bro, Pls what part of Okigwe is in that picture? The dual carriage way? |
Don't know when these pics were taken. But if they are recent, then it's a reminder that WE have lost it as a nation. This is arguably the most economically important road in Lagos state. The road that connects Apapa wharf and the international airport. A federal road road. That the road was left to degenerate to this level, and has remained that way for a long time, is absolutely inexcusable. We simply are incapable of self governance. Once again, I pardon Donald Trump for his statement that we need to be recolonized for another 100 years. |
Looked like it rained. Here's hoping this mall will be a huge success, to motivate more businesses and new outlets in the near future. So long as Onitsha peeps don't go there for pictures only. ![]() |
Oxenomy:Yeah....this is possible. Very possible. When I read about his office getting a licence to operate a private university, it occurred to me that he is very likely going to be a stakeholder in it. However, is there any proof of this? |
The heading made it seem like the license was given to Okorocha to run a private school, but it seemed the partnership is between the government of Imo state and certain private investor(s) It's all good, though. |
This latest development by the DSS and their claim that Hausas and Fulanis are the victims in the so called mass grave is curious and disturbing. I wonder how they have even been able to make positive identification of corpses given the short period. When was a forensic autopsy conducted over the skeletons and skin fragments? That president Buhari never uttered a single word of acknowledgement or solidarity when his people butchered the helpless villagers in Agatu is a very ominous sign. What reasonable person behaves that way? His shameless mouthpiece said the president doesn't need to visit Agatu. Agreed! But he never addressed the issue either. Anyone with an atom of discernment can see the signs. I really fear for this country. My fear is not over it's imminent disintegration, but rather over the loss of lives that is bound to occur with this impending doom. |
An avoidable accident. Very sad. Perhaps the men didn't expect the transmission line to have power when they were working on it, as electricity has almost become an imaginary item nowadays. The electric poles and transmission cables are just there for birds to rest on. That has become their primary use. |
The day African, especially Nigerian leaders, begin to voluntarily resign when their conduct becomes questionable, then we might be pardoned to begin to think that improvement and socioeconomic development are in sight. Our politicians have zero shame, zero conscience, zero integrity, zero vision. We keep condoning them, and their shameless supporters keep whipping up sentiments once they've pocketed a few naira notes. The more we think we are improving, its the more we are actually regressing. Fifty years from today, this contraption we call a country will still be battling same issues we have now. If anyone told Nnamdi Azikiwe and Obafemi Awolowo that by the year 2016, Nigeria will be more or less a diseased wh0re that politicians have repeatedly raped and plundered, then caste it aside to die slowly and miserably, they would not have bothered to fight for independence. |
Still changes nothing. A prostitute will not go to pay for a room in a hotel, except she is certain of a client. In which case, it's her client that will make the payment for the room. All he needs do is sign the form and agree that the woman is his wife (few hours wife ) Business is transacted, and everyone goes home happy. The hisbah just want to give the impression they are enforcing their sharia law. They know that this is exercise in futility. A total waste of time. What's more, most people are aware that sharia law is very sexist and discriminates against women. |
Some people are like that. Definitely on the look out for something to gossip with. They make other folk's issues their business. You should know that a person like that who comes to "borrow" little items from a new neighbour, and doesn't bother about returning stuff, has very little self esteem. So, you certainly wouldn't want your wife to get too close to her. Because it's bound to progress into her occupying more space in your family life. When subtle signals fail to send the message that she needs to back off a bit, then you need to make your intentions obvious. You don't have to be afraid about hurting peoples' feelings, if you know that keeping quiet is bound to make a situation deteriorate. |
Since most of the news and information we get nowadays are from bloggers, we are bound to get misinformed almost always. |
Explosive! Do you know what will definitely wipe out civilization as we know it? It is mankind being aware of the obvious truth about religious extremism, and makes no sustained effort to put a stop to it. Back home, remember few years ago, when Buhari and Elrufai were antagonizing president GEJ, that he was committing genocide by killing BH insurgents. That anyone who kills Fulani Well, ask Buhari if he considers his present actions as genocidal. The military has killed hundreds of BH fighters since he assumed office last year. Fulani Everywhere across the world, the hypocrisy in this religion keeps taking us to the precipice of extinction. I am unable to wrap my head around the concept of an Allah that lets you slaughter and grant you "victory" over helpless men, women and children. |
Jimbadly:Of course, none of them will think this way. Africans are too fixated on supernatural and superstitious fetish beliefs to think rationally. Very soon, someone will walk up and accuse him for the mysterious death of a neighbour, and a mob will gather and beat him to death, if he doesn't get rescued on time by the police. What's more, I think with a little effort, he can slide out of that rim by working it downwards around his waist and legs. He's slim enough. |
rescueteam...do you know what the definition of "a worthless piece of crap" is? Well, go stand in front of a mirror and take a look. That's right. What you see while looking at your image is an apt definition. I thought anyone who is married and has raised two kids would at least have a level of maturity, but thank you for making me have a rethink. First all, she's related to you, and she sleeps alone in a separate room. You had to sneak in there and take pictures to post online, and ask for help. Yeah, you need help all right-a psychiatric evaluation. There is nothing wrong with sleeping nude. Even much healthier for women to sleep without undies. I guess your phantom wife never realized or even shared this all too common knowledge with you. Please, get a life, and stop being an asswipe. She isn't tempting you. Your horribly dirty mind is concocting it's own excuse for an 1ncest. What a pervert. You make me sick. ***Modified. After this pervert tried to justify his actions, he came back to this thread and removed the pictures he uploaded. They were pics of his cousin sleeping naked in bed. tell me what matured, self respecting human specimen would sneak into a room occupied by his cousin while sleeping at night, and take pictures of her to post online, just to prove that he was being tempted! For goodness sake, you invaded her privacy. Asswipe! Would you consider sex with your younger sister if you meet her sleeping naked in her room? Would you even consider taking pictures of her? If your answer is no, what makes that action justified with your uncle's daughter? You better delete those pictures from your phone too. Nobody will accept your sorry explanation that it was evidence to prove you were being tempted by her. |
Sixaxis: Burger01:Compare what happened in Rwanda to that of Nigeria. After the civil war/ethnic cleansing and millions of deaths later, Nigeria is no better than it was 50 years ago. Does anyone need a soothsayer to see that this country is not, and might never be united? The mass slaughter of southerners was a prelude to the civil war is still going on, with the tacit support of the presidency and the military. |
Of course, in Nigeria, public officers are regarded as gods. The situation is near hopeless here. Imagine when a governor is accussed of shortchanging his people, and about to get probed for a certain misuse of office. The same raggedy people will rise in protest and call it "withch-hunting". |
Umm....can you tell us something that will blow our minds instead? Like, what punishment you intend to mete on the BH terrorists who now disguise as herdsmen? olokeded:Of course, dear Bubu has to end his statement with that. I have this funny feeling that if the acronym "PDP" suddenly cease to exist, the office of the presidency will run out of things to say. |
Happens all the time. A typical day in the jungle. This is Naija. |
Nna-anyin ![]() The ministry is alive and kicking. The reason why you are better than the rest is that the proposed "tweaking" will be totally taken care of by you, as a present to your client. He needn't entertain fear of additional expense. Which is the reason why I plan for you to handle my project! ![]() |
...and the tyres are out already! He should be grateful no one is willing to waste half a liter of petrol on him in this season. Or, was he eventually barbecued? |
Oh dear. The world is regressing. Seemed like full civilization was achieved in 2012 (there's a reason for mentioning that year) Everything else is going downhill since then. Hope those racists have made a down payment for the cave their offsprings will dwell in as civilization and the modern age as we know it comes to a full circle. |
If you are totally cool with the idea of another man shagging your wife behind your back, then no need to stop what you are doing. ![]() So, while you sneak into a guest house with someone else's wife to "help" her cure her loneliness, that's the same way another lecherous hunk of beef will straddle your lovely wife and drill her without mercy. You may look at your own wife and think to yourself: nah, she can't be creeping around behind my back. She's too honest for that. Well, that is probably the same thought the husband of that shy and beautiful woman you are messing around with is thinking. These moments of stolen pleasures are really fun, but believe me, they will come back to haunt you in more ways you never thought possible. |
CaroLyner:You still don't get it, do you? A drug epidermic like that will have everyone, and I mean both users and non users, EVERYONE, at it's mercy. You don't need to be an addict to get robbed and butchered on the street by a hopped up crackhead looking for a few naira to purchase his next fix. |
otokx:Yeah. We've been playing the same cracked record since the 60s. What makes you think that in the face of the worsening global economy, this self crippled behemoth would finally locate the bearings to economic recovery? I don't have to hope and pray no more. Even your political champions know the bitter truth. They are riding this aged and disease riddled LovePeddler till they can squeeze out the last iota of juice it contains, then fling it's carcass on our faces. Perhaps by that time, the few among us who didn't quite lose their sanity would realize they ought to have stopped hoping a long time ago, and acted. I have never been a persimist. But this project called Nigeria can make any optimist question his sanity. |
CaroLyner:You shouldn't just care, but you need to be apprehensive! I mean, everyone ought to be horrified. Do you remember what havoc the crack epidemic caused in North American cities? The crime rate rose to such mind boggling levels, people got killed for a dollar by addicts trying to get money to feed their addiction. I remembered as a kid then, my older cousins commented about never willing to travel to USA because "kids with guns shoot people for 1 dollar" This was in the 80s. Now think what a crack cocaine epidemic would do to the already burgeoning crime rate in this country. You would be petrified to step out of your home to buy Maggi cubes or a loaf of bread at the corner shop in your street even at 2pm in the afternoon. Picture the usual roadside touts who give commuters hell, now needing to feed a crack habit. Their present menace would be gentleness compared with the demon about to be unleashed. America fought tooth and nail to check the epidemic and it cost them billions of dollars and personnel. Tell me what this sorry ass country of ours is equipped with to tackle a drug epidermic like that? That's how bad it could get! |
I feel that there's a lot missing from this story. There definitely should be more to this horrible attack by the villagers on their in laws. Not justifying their action though. But it just doesn't make much sense that two brothers would get bludgeoned to death just because an aggrieved mother cursed a perceived enemy, who she felt is behind her daughter's death. |
Painful to see Plateau state in that list, thanks to the nomad canker worms that wreck havoc wherever they go. Plateau, when it comes to agriculture and tourism, used to have one of the highest IGR in the North Central. Thanks to Fulani herdsmen, the state is almost desolate now. Just like the aftermath of a massive locust plague. That same scenario is gradually beginning to play out in the South. |
syffng:Are you new to the property section? Sincerely, this isn't a proper method of advert. How many calls have you received since you made this post? I don't think people would call you just to get info you should have easily and freely made available here. Give adequate info about location, price and available title documents for the land, if it's a family or communal land. Pictures also are important. Have a successful transaction. |
Keeping my fingers crossed until there is an official confirmation to this. Fact is, even "official confirmations" in Naija is taken with a pinch of salt nowadays. The present government and its acolytes are often contradicting itself. You'll need to wait for a few more days or even a week, to confirm that an official confirmation has been made official ![]() Oh boy. See words! |
Rumble in the jungle. Perhaps this present scarcity is shaping up to be the worst in recent times. It's much worse given that power supply has become very dismal. No electricity, no fuel. Nothing seem to work anymore. |
