Wow! I just read an article that dissects and gives meaning to something I have been pondering. It will take someone who is dispassionate and cerebral to come up with this. I salute the writer. |
Acidosis:Slow down bros. I do agree with you about getting his parents contact to intimate them about the boy's situation. It is common practice for indigent parents to give out their kids to trusted (debatable) guardians who agrees to sponsor the child's education or help him learn a trade. The problem is that some of this guardians are mischievous and were only on the lookout for cheap labor, and the kid becomes a slave instead. Such a sad looking kid. The poster can take up the gauntlet on this. It begins when each one of us feels concerned enough to go out of their comfort zone and dare to make a difference. |
amtaken: ![]() Hopefully, one day, events affecting all of us would no longer get categorized by tribal undertones. This isn't an incident that could happen only to people of certain tribes, for goodness sake. I just hope this puerile and annoying issue of checking what name or tribe anyone belongs to on NL is a passing fad. It is totally meaningless and only shows how immature it's promoters are. |
All the rubbish posts we have up here is the reason why we have old men who ought to be retired still holding sway in power. I can bet my life that nobody who has posted a comment on this thread is above 35 years old. When IBB said the youths are not ready for governance, he was damn right! Shame on all of you! All the tribal and impotent shyte you guys keep spitting shows that the average black man is brain dead and lacks the cogitative capacity to improve himself and his environment, except death is starring him in the face. Your fathers and grandfathers made a mess of things since independence. Yet, here we are, throwing shades at each other over a truthful analysis. Kindly point out any paragraph in that post that is not true, and I will eat my words and tender an unreserved apology to everyone of you. You guys can keep squabbling, and let the geriatric scums keep lording their outdated and useless ideas over you. Keep hoping to be tomorrow's leaders when you don't even have a tangible plan for today, other than comparing what tribe has got the biggest d¡ck. A simple and honest analysis got everyone throwing tribal mudsling at each other. They leave the content of the message and go after the messenger. DOES IT MATTER WHO THE MESSENGER IS, AS LONG AS THE MESSAGE IS THE TRUTH? |
All you morons up there saying thrash. Do you need a prophet to tell you guys that we are headed for a failed state? Once the crunch occurs, many of you are going to become victims. Every single politician, both actively engaged or otherwise, knows that this system is not working, and IT CAN NEVER WORK except there is a massive restructuring of governance. They just pay lip service about things getting better soon because supporting the entity called Nigeria is what puts money in their pocket. Let's assume the NDA suddenly repents and disengage from destroying oil facilities, and Boko Haram makes peace with itself and the society, what happens next? We keep operating a sham system based on ethnicity and nepotism. Way to go! Will it stop the rampaging herdsmen from their activities? Will it make the Fulanis suddenly realize that every other tribe has an equal stake, and nobody can be lord over others? The sooner we face reality, the better chances we have at coming out of this predicament intact. We don't have a nation. We have never had anything close to a real nation since independence. For all those who keep pointing accusing fingers at other tribes, saying IPOB or Biafra is behind the report. Ask yourselves one very honest question: Would you willingly give your life up in exchange for your so called country? If you were told that your death would mean a better Nigeria, are you patriotic enough to forfeit your life for that? Test your loyalty then. Know where your allegiance truly lies. |
Hunger in the land would drive many people who never saw it even in their nightmares, to join the police force. |
ckmayoca:Bless you! There's a good reason why the UAE is a model and leading country in the Arabian Gulf. I have seen the way it's people are progressive in their approach to situations. Too much of religion becomes a hindrance when, after God has given you the resource to solve your problems, you rather fold your hands and pray for miracles instead. |
circuit101: . I don't know how true your statement is, but what I find funny is how someone who disagrees with that statement will still go ahead and click on "yes", after you are informed it will appear on your profile. Why can't the same proclamation be made on the Christianity section? Just shows you how a group can be so intolerant. |
Tosinex:That's the person a whole lot of ignorant folks will come out to celebrate. Aside glorifying herself, she had to tag her picture as taken at MMIA, when it was obvious she's in a bus. Now, that's one vain and insecure sister. |
Nigeria being the largest market in Africa still could not produce a viable airline to compete internationally. We still can't get our acts right after Nigeria Airways went belly up. The incompetence and corruption is just so monumental. From a giant to a disease riddled cripple. |
You have nothing to worry about. Your weight in relation with your height, is not excessive. Calculating your BMI should put you at ease. Not entirely sure, but I can bet your BMI is below 20. A BMI of 25 and above is considered overweight. Modified: I was right afterall. I calculated your BMI based on the information you gave (weight: 67kg, height: 6ft 2" ) It came out as 18.9 kg/m2 Just maintain a healthy lifestyle. Adequate physical activities with lots of hydration. At age 19, you are still bound to add a few more inches before you stop growing. |
SLIDEwaxie:Not just in Naija. Among the black race, they are treated as such. See how everyone who came to meet him at the airport are all the same race. Even though it's in a white country. White pastors have become learners when it comes to making Christianity glitzy. |
Huh. If these dudes eventually join the police or military force, don't ask why extra judicial killing is so widespread. It began like this. |
Hmm. As disgusting as this is, it isn't unusual for policemen across the country to commit such brazen acts. In my undergraduate days, police routinely round up people from the streets and accuse them with ludicrous crimes such as these: A man walking along the road is picked up. At the station, when he insists on knowing why he got arrested, the policeman told him that he was "walking and plotting evil in his mind" ![]() A young lady who complained that she was still asleep in her room when they barged in and picked her up, was charged with "dreaming of wickedness" As ridiculous as this sounds, the policemen all kept a straight face and ensured that everyone picked was locked up until a relative came to bail them out with various sums of money. No statement was taken from any of them. |
Donariok:Bros! What brand of weed is working in your system? Your inspiration is beyond me! ![]() |
onatisi:Or worse still, the machine was invented with the target market being blacks. The inventors know how vain a typical black man with some spare cash can be at ceremonies such as this. All they need to convince the olodo is say: "Look here, my good man, you worked real hard to make that money. You shouldn't work so hard to spend it in style. Just load the cash in this compartment, release this catch button, point the device this way, and pull this trigger right here.........and there you go!" ![]() The mumu will quickly order for a dozen of it...with the intention of selling some of it to his fellow retardz of like minds. |
globe16:. Truth is, the international community are not going to do jack no matter the number of helpless civilians this government slaughters. You all should know by now that Africans are regarded as little more than animals who have no regard for the sanctity of human life. Our efforts at self destruction has defied their understanding and every sense of rationality. where in the civilized world would such killings persist, and every elected political official, religious leaders and rights group will not call for mass civil disobedience and impeachment of the government. This country ought to be on a shutdown by now. Perhaps until they kill a member of your family before you realize how urgent the situation is. Nobody but us, can make this government feel remorse for each life that is needlessly wasted. Imagine that even governors, senators and house of rep members are all mute in the face of such madness. We all keep quiet and our government gradually becomes dictatorial. |
What exactly is your point? That Bonny Island and very few parts of the ND that is well structured and planned represents the entire area? These amazing looking spots represents less than 5% of the region. How many people from the ND live in such places? Fact is, most of the people of the ND are only aware these places exist, but have never even set eyes on them. |
This dude obviously sees what most of us can't see. Love works in very mysterious ways! Strong Man! |
Fulani is not in the list, so how come they are one of the major tribes in the north? Did you omit it? Bubu will not be happy about this. |
Huh. Kwankwaso described the planned relocation as "unfair and unacceptable". What exactly makes it unacceptable, other than his perceived belief that it was borne out of ethnic bias? So, the governor of a state cannot make such decisions? Not a big surprise, anyway. The country is being run like an estate that belongs to a select few. His utterance is even enough reason for Ambode to fully relocate the market. If he was thinking of rescinding this decision before now, it would be deemed that he cowered because Kwankwaso opposed him. We are watching. |
wordychap:This is called "thinking outside the box!" ![]() Anything is possible. |
You only need to see how our foreign diplomats at all Nigerian embassies abroad behave, to make you lose hope in this country. At home and abroad no one gives a shiit about Nigerians. We don't give a damn about ourselves, and other nations don't give a damn about us. |
Na wah o. See wickedness! Everybody jus carry misplaced aggression nowadays. See as dis woman wan kill anoda person pikin becos she eat Oga food. Food wey dem use 3 balls of tomato wey dem buy N1,000 cook ![]() President Bubu said yesterday that Nigerians can behold how he has put the economy on a sound footing. Perhaps madam first lady hasn't bothered to inform him what tomatoes and other foodstuffs are "talking" in the market. |
The statement isn't complete. What did the signal direct the troops to do? Shoot at sight? I hope whatever pro Biafra agitators the troops plan to engage are not unarmed and peaceful demonstrators? The military always gets a hard-on when they are up against unarmed civilians. |
Look at the bright side, people! Personally, I have never stopped praying and hoping for the day that oil price and it's derivatives will hit rock bottom. The oil boom turned us into brainless assholes. We found a source of ready made cash, and our leaders stopped using their brains. It's as simple as this: In the face of dwindling oil revenues, politicians will think deep before coming out to contest for, or seek appointments into offices. The awoof is no longer coming, so they have to work hard to scratch out every single penny from their states/ministries/constituencies. When oil money is no longer available for sharing, we can now assess how intelligent or ingenious these crooks who have rode roughshod over the rest of us are. Let's see those who can adapt and thrive in this shoddy country. It's the reason why regionalism was advocated. Lack of ideas has made Bubu say that the last national conference was a waste of time and money....just because regionalism was pointed as a way forward. This is just the beginning. Only tough people last and come out stronger. |
redsconsult:So says a sensible and educated adult. |
winningwinner:Before you join other hungry bloggers to circulate meaningless gossips as news, take a moment to think first. That's what brains are meant for. How can a 26 year old possibly have 320 abortions??! Haba! Even if she gets pregnant in every single month of her cycle, it means she would be pregnant 12 times in a year, right? To be pregnant 320 times would imply she got pregnant every month, for 320 months. 320 months divided by 12, is the same as 26.666 years. Which implies that she got pregnant every single month for 26 and half years at least. Means she started taking in right from when she was born, till the day she granted the interview. Does that make any sense to you, asswipe blogger? |
Nigerian press and their very shoddy reporting. Just read through this report, trying to find the link between the native doctor, the "suspected sympathizers" of the native doctor, and the surgeon that was murdered. I found none. Absolutely nothing. Such a stewpid and meaningless report! The entire thing looked like a story strung together by a drunk lunatic. |
They needed to practice and get in good shape right here, before departing to their paradise for the main show. It won't be funny once any of them gets to paradise only to realize he isn't fit enough to bulldoze 72 virgins! Why are they buying viagra, when they have their potent local brew called burantashi? Hypocrites! They are against western education and inventions, yet they prefer foreign made viagra over burantashi ![]() |
