babasolution:Get this bro: Internal unity and cohesion is needed among Nigerians FIRST, before it can effectively produce a formidable front backed up with effective policies to stare down foreign exploiters. Everything done by foreign "investors" to undermine the economy can never be achieved if there is no Nigerian factor complicit in it, be it individuals or organizations. Everyone of us does things because of personal gains and interests. There is no feeling of patriotism. No one can be forced to become patriotic. We are a loooong way from the destination we seek for this country, and I'm fairly certain this present generation can never be the catalyst to achieving it. |
Most of our politicians and policy makers are cut from inferior and obsolete materials, it is a wonder we are still here. As it is, this present Buhari regime is set to take first prize when it comes to policies that would set us back 30 years. Seriously. |
Caseless:The religion of peace. The type of peace they brought on North-eastern Nigeria, the middle east (Syria, Iraq,) Pakistan, Afghanistan...you name them. Japan obviously doesn't want that sort of peace. So..... |
Meanwhile, emergency response is almost non existent in the event there was an accident. The security forces shouldn't have allowed those people to climb on that platform. I was so shocked when the camera showed that first picture. It was unbelievable. I guess the huge number of spectators who turned out for the match overwhelmed the security personnel. It's a miracle there was no accident and no casualty. Host another match on that pitch, and this scenario would get repeated. We are good at not learning from mistakes, unless there was a grave consequence. |
Japan is a model country. If it were not for the series of natural disasters that often sets the country back, China should be playing a second fiddle to them. I read an impressive and heartwarming report early this year about Japan's railway authorities that kept a certain route running because of a single student passenger who lives in a very remote region that is accessible only by train. This girl takes the train to school and back everyday, and later became the sole passenger on that route, because her home is in a very remote region. The rail authorities had a meeting, and decided that they will keep the route in operation until this single passenger graduates from school! I saw pictures taken of that girl as she waited, boarded and read her books in the train while in transit. She was the ONLY passenger throughout. It brought tears to my eyes! Imagine the authorities operating at a loss over a single student! This is a country where the life and comfort of it's citizens is the number one priority of its government. Also worthy of note is Japan's resolve never to grant entry into the country, to people of a certain religion. |
Horrific. Will terrorism and suicide bombing ever end in the North? When this disturbance began about 7 years ago, no one thought this type of horrible things we get to see in the news in other countries will soon become a way of life around us. Now we see mangled corpses everyday...we are no longer shocked or repulsed. The certainty that a lot more innocent people are bound to become victims halfway through the year is disturbing. |
Ayodeji2k14:Bullshit! Even though it could sound plausible to the uninformed. Indeed Y and X chromosomes are responsible for male and female babies respectively, it has nothing to do with color of sperm. |
While we all wish them a successful outing today, I still think our coaches are more expert at playing and winning games by word of mouth. There are better ways to boost morale and motivate your players, other than bragging about how you will win. We've heard it all before. The game of soccer has progressed beyond the "I senior you" mentality we bring to matches all the time. The Egyptians didn't come to Kaduna for a picnic. The game is played with legs and brains. Not mouth. This isn't the 80s and 90s. |
stephenduru:Typical. Let's all take a ringside seat and watch the unfolding drama as God descends from above to help her, or whoever you were referring to. If the parents have paid their bills and are not owing the hospital, what prevents them from taking away their babies, and sort the help needed elsewhere, since this hospital is only interested in making money and bragging rights from their predicament? If the MRI and CT scans have been paid for, the copies are to be handed to the parents, the custodians. They can then forward them to the hospitals overseas or any other facility competent enough to handle the surgery. What the hell is she crying for? This isn't the time to display weakness, because many Nigerians don't act right until you show aggression and madness! This messed up country where anyone does as he pleases, and we are the most quick at calling on God, as if spirituality will get rid of all our woes. |
What probably happened was, the owner of this property got the gate at a give away price, even though he wasn't prepared to build a fence yet. |
Animal cruelty, really. The person who bought this feels reluctant to shell out a few more naira notes to pay for proper transportation on a pick up van. This isn't cool. Would get arrested for this at a place where there is proper law and enforcement. |
MotorConnectz:The biggest bullshit I heard since the beginning of 2016. Really? That Dubizzle is a safe and scam free site? Bollocks! You even sound like you are privy to this scam. |
People Don't Change! Well, they might modify or try to suppress an annoying trait. But that only happens if they want to do it, and not because their partner demands it. That's the truth about relationships and marriage. If anything, any flaw you noticed in your partner is bound to get worse after marriage. This is because people tend to be at their best initially when a relationship or courtship begins. After marriage, you can then let your guards down; there's no compelling need to be at your best behaviour all the time. You have achieved your goal! So, if you get married with the hope and belief that a certain behavioural flaw in your partner will get corrected, your woes have just begun. Sure, no one is perfect. But only accept to marry someone with those flaws you know that you can accept and live with. If you are having issues with a potential life partner before marriage over his or her attitude you couldn't accept, that's all the sign you need that the marriage may never work. |
UIA04:I don't know how credible your claim is, but..... If you are partly correct, then it shows what has been fueling this baby trafficking business. As it is, almost nothing works in this messed up country. |
SleekMallam: ![]() Bros! You really cracked me up with this! I've been laughing non stop since I read this comment. |
Its gonna take a whole lot of work to get the naira steady below N300 to the dollar in the parallel market. It seem like it has settled at ≥ N300. |
alorax2:Checking just the papers is just scratching the surface. Documents can be forged and manipulated. You can only get the complete info concerning a particular land from the ministry of land and urban planning. Herein lies the problem. Our very archaic and corrupt civil service are totally inefficient and very reluctant to release needed information without you lobbying, greasing palms and frequently visiting different offices. Have you tried to process a C of O before? Did you see what it costs and how many years, on the average, it took to secure a C of O, when, if we are sincere, it shouldn't take more than a few working days? Omo oniles are still in business because the government is weak at implementing and protecting its policies. Even the government officials are beneficiaries of Omo oniles' shenanigans. |
We need a massive orientation in this country. Folks shy away from legal adoption of kids, but are willing to pay even more to buy them through shady means. |
You cannot be made to pay up to 500k to legally adopt a child. So why go through illegal channel to get one, with all the risks involved? What is wrong with our people? |
This is pathetic. You guys just have to eat everything that moves...even a baby croc! You got this alive and you had to slaughter it for food, because you are starving, or what? |
What house owner is mean in this instance? That you had dealings with an agent who wasn't forthcoming is not enough to make a general comment about house owners. Moreover, you have not even met with the landlord. You should know that many agents take certain decisions without consulting the landlord. All the info you've made available so far shows that even the landlord may not be in the know about the situation. Have you got a receipt for the transaction? Do you have a signed tenancy agreement detailing your status? Let's begin from somewhere. At least you need some evidence if you are to embark on a civil/legal resolution. You may be far from getting a reprieve if you are yet to have a meeting with the landlord (or his legal representative) and agent at same moment. |
I haven't had such hearty laugh for some time. This write up really cracked me up! ![]() What is it with the "village people/witches" syndrome that seem responsible for every misfortune? A rather handy and all encompassing excuse, I must say. Almost fact: The guy that left you hanging, but suddenly shows up when you are about to get committed to somebody else isn't the real deal. Note that I said it's an "almost" fact! |
olihilistic:Na wah o. I don't think you read a single word up there. At this stage, it really doesn't matter if anyone was forgiven or not. Justice took it's course, albeit, at a very slow and frustrating pace. The part where it was claimed Ibinabo refused to tender a public apology "because it would ruin her career" got me astounded. |
The state of affairs in this country, where human life now means nothing. Very scary. What state of mind would make you stab a person to death over N10? |
acenazt:Believe it or not, the government of Imo state charge levies once you sink a borehole on your property! This is more enforced in Owerri, the capital city. So, you see what the people go through? Government can't provide good drinking water, and it's people are levied for trying to do the job of the government. This country sweet die! ![]() |
Won't be surprised to realize that the state's ministry of land and urban planning are aware of this piece of property in being in contention but still getting sold to members of the public by dubious agencies. The ministry officials would even grant survey numbers and give approval to building plans. They will do all this just for the fast buck...till the bubble bursts. Next, the bulldozers roll in and demolish everything. What do we even have a government for? You can't protect your own people's interest and PREVENT fraudulent sales and development of lands. The risks involved with property acquisition is just too much, due to very poor regulation and security. With ownership of the land in contention, the courts ought to have given notice to the state's ministry not to grant building plans approval on the land. that's how a responsible government functions |
Cool. There are certain stereotypes associated with major tribes all across Nigeria. Ignorance and tribal fixations are largely responsible for this. There is nothing unusual about it, except when it's accepted as the absolute truth. |
I don't think you are serious about selling properties on this forum. The first rule is to upload pics of the property for sale. I don't need to begin to imagine what the property looked like. |
spyder880:List the plot numbers available for sale. That info is not handy anymore. Include an updated map for the layout too. |
Hallelujah, bro! A huge Amen to your prayers. |
spyder880:Who did this? Was this with your permission, or what? |
