Trust me Amaks, some of those names are not even active posters in the romance section, but somehow when i get back home from work and switch on my server's monitor [My server is always connected to the web and never switched off] all i see is a tirade of friend invites from NL, especially when i've been very active on the site.
Its crazy, sometimes when i'm in the cheeky mood i ask a few of them to impress me, and if they cannot reply me in good english, i just decline them, other times i look at the names and add those i recall seeing on the site and just let the others go, but they come back the very next day!

Thats true, but i think the girls are a bit sceptical when it comes to asking on the public forum, but they prefer to bombard selected guys on YIM even without posting anything regarding wanting a girlfriend. The number of YIM invites i get from girls in an average day makes me wonder whether i should post a topic about wanting a girlfriend just to see how many replies i get from willing girls. Guys, if you're good looking and want dates, just post your pic in your profile and post normally on threads, it will surprise u the number of girls that take out time to view your profile and even contact u afterwards.

It is always good to know that every story has 2 sides and will not be complete if only one side is taken up. Bottomline is girls do not hate boys, and 95% of NL are single and available. Within the past year alone, over 700 girls on my YIM [Nairaland list] are from nairaland and i didnt even invite more than 20!

Well, i believe u r not alone, there'll probably be many on here who fall or know people who fall within that category, i have friends from such roots and i spent long periods of time with them too. It works in very well organised scenarios, sometimes even better than one man one wife scenarios that i know of.

Well, for people like me, an only son and last child in the family. . .  Family is and will continuously be very important. I am who i am today partly because of my roots and although they're all very liberal and well to do on their own, i would definitely involve them when the time comes, and i will like to know that they approve of the girl in question [Bless her].

Different circumstances will call for different measures, but i speak from a sensitive angle and i'm pretty sure people in my brand of shoes will agree.

Well, you are making a huge assumption there. I cannot say polygamists generally do not cheat, but i cannot also say that they generally cheat. In every work of life, there will be a few bad eggs, and this one is included. . . But on a very general scale, those that cheat will be considerably less than those who dont.
Even those who dont practice polygamy will have a few that cheat on their partners, so u need to look at the majority and not a minority when making general statements such as that one.

Trust me, i dont like polygamy as a way of life or even as a theory, so i cannot be supporting or defending anything here. I just like to make sure that in anything in life, the blame culture is eradicated. You are responsible for anything you could've changed that affects you eventually, dont blame it on anyone.
A woman marries a man and he marries a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th wife, if she feels this was not the arrangement, why sit in the marriage and look on? Why not file for a divorce after he marries a 2nd wife?

That is if you're assuming he married a 2nd wife cos he got her pregnant out of wedlock, but that is not always the case. Most cases of polygamy are actually done normally, without any urgency. And in the case of muslims, the 1st woman already knows she is likely not gonna be the only one.

Ultimately, i take the final decisions, and i can choose to marry against their wishes, but i do not allow "love alone" to cloud my decisions especially when its a critical decision like marriage, other intricacies need to be considered as well. . .  and i dont think i can start up something that is only destined to bring up serious drama between family and wife!
