Hello people. Been ages here, and it's good to see this thread has come a long way . I tried to read the over 70 pages of this part (and the endings of the last), and one thing I noticed is that people tend to want to apply to only "reputable schools" in "big cities". This in my opinion is the wrong way to go. I know many people in big cities who stay frustrated for a different variety of reasons. I'll use myself as an example here:I got admitted into a really small city (about 240k), in a Fachhochschule, (double trouble). But even with less than 20 words in my vocabulary on arrival, I was able to survive, work (and earn more than enough to survive and look good), cope with studies, learn German, learn programming, etc. Now I don't live there anymore, but knowing my experience so far, if I had the chance to choose again, I'd still choose the "unreputable university" in the same small city. Although I've now moved to a much bigger city (Berlin, which I really hate), the experience gathered along the way is the only reason (more or less) I'm even here in the first place. What am I trying to say? If you want to study in a TU9 school, and/or top 10 in Europe, then perfect. If you want to study only in cities with more than a mil people, then fine as well, but I've seen too many people slide into depression when admissions for these dream schools don't drop (or visa issuance gets delayed), so broaden your net and apply to any school/city you wish and with determination, you'll go places you never thought possible... Just my 2€ on a cold Sunday morning Have a happy Weekend folks ![]() And if you're coming to Berlin this winter, feel free to shoot me a PM ![]() |
neccki:Learn JavaScript and German and more JavaScript and more German and have absolutely no worries ![]() ...And congrats to Visa receivers and soon to receive. An offer for the soon-to-be Berliners is still available ![]() Williamso: |
Instructor001:No sir. No idea... |
Hello guys, my first post on this part. Seems you all have come a long way. Is there anyone (student) coming to Berlin this Winter Semester and still looking for accommodation? I have a student accommodation to sublet so shoot me a private message ![]() |
Thanks @seun for the help. I'm now once again able to reply to PMs, so you can now PM me if you need to :-) |
I came here looking for the the Stirling Moss!!! What a beauty, a legend |
Hello beautiful people and beautiful men and women. I know many people wouldn't remember me, but I hope you all are doing really good. I got banned for writing in German (for the umpteenth time), even though it was just a oneliner... I have a plea to the people that are already in Munich. Please, a friend of mine (also on this thread) recently got an internship in Munich and needs a place to stay. He should resume on 1.7 or 17.7... Please if anyone has a hint for affordable accommodation in Munich, please hit me up.... Thanks a billion in advance. |

dammyAJ:Just walk into any high court (state or federal) and notarize your docs. Also, I can't believe you will qualify for only 1 course and that would be IS at UniMünster. Get busy and check more, and don't ignore schools using uni-assist |
tomshare16:Is this per month or the whole stay? You'll find nothing if that's your budget for the whole stay... |
Touchflex:Right now I do only JS professionally, but I also find haskell and python interesting... |
honourableseyi:Maybe things have changed. I know some people that were given 2 years straight 2 years ago with 8k in Hamburg |
Blackanada:I used form A in 2015, at 220 naira per euro... I don't know how things work now |
Blackanada:Like I wrote ANYONE!!!! It doesn't matter as long as you're good at it! |
pitapromiz:Anyone! Doesn't matter which one, just be good at anyone you choose |
Hey people. For those sending PMs, for some very strange reasons, I'm unable to successfully reply anyone (cc @seun)... maybe mention me and drop something I could use to contact you and I will ![]() |
Hello beautiful guys and girls on here, been a long time I posted anything... I dunno if anyone would remember me from the days I used to be very active (sucks for me). Just want to drop a thing or two here for whoever will read this: if you're coming to Germany or already here, especially if you want to study an IT related course, learn programming!!! Eat it, breathe it, crave it, die on top it sef if you can. I know in the past I have said German is more important than programming; but being here long enough and having knowledge of the 2, I am confident enough to say my programming skills have opened more doors than my German. Just thought to check on you all!!! Success in your applications to school/visa/both ![]() |
donkafor:Yes I do. They are cities in Germany; respectively the 3rd and 2nd largest cities in Germany... ![]() Hamburg gives 2 years straight (not too recent news, I don't know if things have changed), and I don't know about Munich |
pitapromiz:Great city!!! |
Blackanada:It depends on the city; some cities will give you more than 1 year residency to start, some can renew with other proofs of financial stability, some require part of it (anything from 2k to 5k), some require the entire 8k :-) |
This post is so flawed... What's the basis for your research, if any? Can you substantiate your data with facts? Stating the average salary of a petroleum engineer, which by the way is a profession and not a job, as 12mil is grossly misleading at best and simply an alternative fact. PS., I have many programmer colleagues that make about 5x of what you posted. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT |
@hadassaheke, I can't reply your PM, getting a mailerDaemon failure |
Hello ladies and gentlemen. Anyone looking for Euros to buy? At relative exchange rates? Kindly shoot me a PM or mention freue mich auf eure Nachrichten |
noblealuu:But first you said you believe he is capable... Anyway, you asked and I answered what I know; and I know nothing and no one in these fields you have mentioned, so I can't say anything about it.... |
noblealuu:You never go wrong with the IT/software sector But that would almost certainly mean another bachelor ![]() |
Mille:E go shock you........... ![]() |
Paulweasley:I don't have any information... sorry for trying to make you do stuff yourself :-) |
Paulweasley:Could it then be possible that such school doesn't exist? I mean, if you can't find it, possibly others won't... |
Paulweasley:Chimo! See parameters.... But you can find them yourself naa ![]() |
tsquare299:The letter you have will not suffice ![]() |
diggy4real:I'm sorry but I can't help you here ![]() |

Have a happy Weekend folks
