You believe. Are you sure? As far as I know, PGD is as irrelevant as naira notes as far as Germany is concerned (obviously I can't know it all; I may be wrong here). Two emails should be enough to save you time and maybe money: One to uniassist asking if it's necessary and another to the school asking same.

What exactly are you applying for? PGD is not required for BSc and does not qualify you for MSc!

You really need to work on your grammar. I could understand what you said because you more or less used German words with English grammar: a native German will probably not understand this post But if you learned all this from Naija, then it's really great after all I didn't know "Good morning" when I got here.

And I had to learn the language to a fault; and it paid off, helped me get my job
As for my experience, I don't think I have the time to sit and compose a very lengthy post on that, but it will come in the fullness of time. Besides, I've been here for only 7 months, I don't think I've lived long enough to speak on certain matters...

No bragging but I can tell you that I have been interacting with loads of students from Germany 3-4 years before I came in myself and that apart, close family and distant relatives. But that is not even a basis for my evaluation alone, I said I was going to do a weighted score and use a scientific methodology behind beside the write up that will follow. And I have gathered details from a number of students, from 16 selected places in the shortlist. You can criticise after it is out.

If you read well too, I mentioned that I was going to CONSIDER THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTORS FOR THOSE COMING FROM NIGERIA. I will assign a weight to them. I didn't mention people living in Germany who can speak Germans like natives or for Germans.
Here are the factors, in no order of importance

I will continue to hint on the fact that (almost) everything will have a degree of subjectivity. What works for Jane may not work for Janet. If I had listened to posts about best or worst cities, I probably would still be in Nigeria by now. And Yes, before coming here, I couldn't say a word in Deutsch. It only took the will to learn, and now for a 6-month learner, I think I'm doing pretty good.
Anyway keep up with the work, obviously more people would need that kind of information.

A werkstudent has a side-job related to his/her program, and is contractual. So you not only earn good money (up to or more than 700eur per month), you also get valuable experience.

Well, I don't really have time, from time to time I will write a mini article on my top ten cities to study in Germany, considering the most important factors for people coming from Nigeria. The scores will be weighted and analysed.

This will definitely be biased as you haven't lived everywhere. And if you speak German, a city can go from 0 to 100 really quickly, more so if someone gets the ultimate student job: Werkstudent!

Well good thing you're not sure. As should be common knowledge; there is no blanket requirements for every school. I have seen Master programs that require neither motivation no reference letters, and I have also seen Bachelor programs that require both. Moral: Individual courses (even in the same school) are unique...

Whether you live in Germany or not, WAEC does not qualify you for university either as an international student or not. Since you're already here, your best (only?) option is to get into a Studienkolleg. Don't ask me about it, simply reading this thread and the other one (as well as Google) will give you more answers than any single person could.

It's €8.040,00. If you can get it at parallel, CBN or even World Bank rate, that doesn't matter.

It normally takes almost 3 days (if you're lucky) or sometimes up to a week, and costs about 20million naira. You can get a 50% one-trip discount on a return ticket - that would be about 30mil.

My parents are trying to send me to Germany to study information technology via English medium, we got a so called trusted agent to help us do d process, he wil Start officially April 5..my own personal digging doesn't correlate to his own words.. He said i dont need any extra documents again.. Apart from my o'levels?.. Pls how correct is that? because he seems to be sure of himself, like. He has done it before?.. Tho i will be enrolling at a goethe Institute by April 11 sha,just my own personal need nd also would register for d ielts later. I don't know if i should put my last chance on this agent?.. Or start the process myself. Agent fee :half a mil nd i m still 20yrs of age.

Firstly, did your ish with unilag happen after completion of 100Level? If it did not, and you don't have your transcript, then as far as Germany is concerned, your chances of schooling as an undergrad in English is almost impossible.
Secondly, Good to know you're doing your own digging. Probably the agent is considering Studienkolleg for you, I'm sure you know that's exclusively taught in German, because your O'level is definitely not good enough.
Finally, I see you have money Put that to good use and read this thread. I will read the bible from beginning to end for that money you wish to give away, how much more this thread... Think about it.

Please please please, people should try and make independent research before coming here to post stupid (yes, stupid) questions. I haven't come across a question recently that hasn't been answered already on this thread (well I have, but the rarity frightens me). In some occasions, a simple google search would provide more concise information than this thread. Even typing a keyword on google and adding "nairaland" as well as the title of this thread will lead to the exact location of information on this thread [and the part 1, if that title is used] (Worked 99.96% of the time for me). It is absolutely annoying when someone asks a question that was answered on the previous page.

This is not a question you should ask here! It's like asking a woman if her child is prettier than her maid. (Almost) everyone here has chosen Germany for a reason, largely due to independent research and not 3rd party counsel. Google is a good place to start.

It's an F'd up system if you ask me cos in the end how does cramming make me a better Engineer even if I should end up graduating with a 1.0 gotten largely through cramming? No flexin für here oh.. It's same old boring routine. Plus I still get exams. I hope the summer comes with it interesting activities.. Make man m no go suffer depression.

Well, for my program, cramming just won't cut it. For example, I had to learn a programming language from scratch (no regrets at all, actually fun now) for my studies. Cramming won't help you write software, or develop an IT Strategy, or draw business processes, etc... If you cram in my program, you will most likely fail and end up unemployed after school...

My oga my oga, this is not true for my program/school oh! You just have to know it. If you cram for the exam, what about the project/assessment/case studies? You cannot cram your way out of these and they are prerequisites for the exam (You can't write with a 5.0 assessment). And you can't leave it all to your teammates as the grading is almost always individual. I know how hard I have worked to get good grades......

This is totally true, the courses are so easy here to be candid, but the problem will be you as a student, when you miss one class just one class, the chance of failing is already 70 percent. And you have to do much work to get by. I am very certain of this because I saw it in this semester exams. I don't know if the lecturers know those who doesn't come to class and those who does , which I am sure that they don't. But they seem to always fail. Maybe it is magic.

Guy Na waa oh! Just read the bolded part and see how contradictory it is. The courses are so easy? Heck! What are you studying? I hope you have/will not score below 1.7 in any course... SMH

Currently I'm doing very excellently well with my academics. Basically what I do is weekend jobs and I take up jobs at my free time cos there are a few flexible ones as well. I just tot of the advice that was why I came here. In Germany if you study you'll get good grades and I know God gave us the brains me inclusive. Thanks
