Various state government can also consider this, e.g sending lorry loads to the source of production and flooding their local market with it, in order to forcefully crash the price. But that will come and bit them during election and it's kinda dictatorial. I believe with this threat and eventual disbanding will make things right. The middle men are the problem. They buy very cheap from the farmers cos farmers are prohibited from selling directly to the consumers, and then control their prices like our electricity distribution companies.
Threats and bans are just temporal, just make them irrelevant.

What is required is a sustainable agric policy, it will cut the power of both middlemen and unions.

- Govt partner with private firm to run farm settlements in their states
- Govt have reserves and farm settlements supplies the reserves
- Govt will have contract with small scale famers to supply products not available in farm settlement
- Govt partner with private coys to create processing factories that can add value along the chain
- Middlemen are cut off since these farmers have the option of selling directly to govt reserves or sell directly to processing factories at a fixed price. Example is the Dangote Tomato Paste factory sited in Kano beside farmers.
- Any price increase by middlemen can be cut off with supply from reserves and vice versa for excess supply.

You better read and comprehend first before commenting. Government have the right to contol prices. That's why they had Price Control Board. Don't know whether it's still there. You talk of free market prices but they don't allow non union members to sell. How do explain that crayfish is cheaper in Aba than Akwa Ibom.
If i was the governor i won't give them altimatum I'll be banning them immediately. Did they build the market? Stup!d unions.
You control price by having reserves of such products... if the union raises price, you flood the market with cheaper product. If you have excess, you close your reserves.

But in Naija, govt no get vision....

majority of these hardship caused by greedy Nigerians not Buhari.e.g Ifeanyi Uba,PDP stalwarts.Reccession is a political statement.
No sir...

It is caused by these state governors who lack vision.

State Govt are expected to partner with private sector agric firms and have reserves.

Anytime these unions raise prices of major foodstuffs, you open your reserve and flood the market with your products at cheaper prices. If you have excess then you close up your reserves to stabilize price.

1. God does not bless dishonesty - obviously you read a different bible. I challenge you to show me where God blessed such.
2. He is no hero - rather he is an example of Nigeria's decline and the lack of integrity among those who call the name of the Lord (mostly in vain).
3. There is no grace to avoid lack - the Lord does not bless evil.
4. Your dismissal of professionalism is why your country isn't going to progress anytime soon. Even if all politicians dropped dead today, Nigeria will not change. The "youths" are just as cavalier with honesty.

Sigh... I just finished reviewing 63 job applications for my employer... many of whom were Nigerians. To be honest, i basically hit the "delete" button for every Nigerian application without more than a 5 minute glance.
God bless anyone he chooses, he get it done anyhow he wants. It is not your business how he get it done. Romans 9:15 For God said to Moses, "I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose."

Are GMDs of coys not professionals that they put their children and close relatives on the board of their companies. Can you delete the CV of your GMD candidate for employment in the manner you delete 63 job application without more than a 5 minute glance.

Learn to show "Mercy", it will take nothing to invite at least 1 person out of the 63 application, these are ordinary Nigerians like you.

Ecclesiastes 9:11- Living Word translation says,

I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don't always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.

Being in the right place at the right time is called Gods Favor.

I am having a feeling Deruggedman has refrain from the market all these while we have making money as he is seeing stocks as OVERBOUGHT.All i can see is a virgin land.......the land is green.......is green......
No matter how green the land is, we should still trade with caution. Thats what Deruggedman is trying to pass across to newbies.

Newbies should know when to take their profit. You have made 50% increase on a stock as an investor and you are still waiting for it to do 200%... thats greed.

Sell some part of your holdings to recover your capital & sizeable profit to your bank account first with good champagne. You can now wait and see if the rally want to go on and ride with it with the remaining holdings. FG will tax you, State govt will tax you, LG will tax you, Agbero will tax you? How do you expect biz to pay loans ?

If its so easy, why are state govt and FG owing salaries and pension arrears ?

These people and other useless MMM guiders elsewhere should be arrested because they are trying to put masses hard earned money into jeopardy.
I can tell you that virtually all of them are illiterate or perhaps don't have any knowledge about economics and accounting. Hw can an educated fellow invest his money into a so called useless community help that doesn't have any underlying economic activities? This is pure and absolute scammed trying to infiltrate into nation's shambling economy for the second time.
Let this list of illiterate MMM guiders come and tell the whole Nigerians and govt what actually they are investing people on since there is a 30% return on every invested fund. Let them come and prove to Nigeria govt and her citizenry mathematically how the money will be turned without having some investors' funds lost into thin air. Also, where's MMM contacts, Biz registration no, certificate of incorporation. Failure to prove this, not to talk of proving satisfactorily, these people should be arrested for impending chaos.
It is wrong to arrest anyone, these folks are adults and they choose where to spend their money. Some folks use their hard earned money to party, some spend on cars, some spend on slay mama & queens, some give it out as tights/offering while some of them invest in MMM.

Deal with the simple fact, it is nobody business how an adult spend his money.

I also do ponzi scheme but I dont worry myself on it 2 much becos

- I know all ponzis scheme including MMM are games
-They are not genuine
-Only put small money that will not give you HBP
- If it goes well, its okay
-If it goes bad, I dont give a damn

I just enjoy the game irrespective of the outcome.

Diamond bank is the most stupid share on NSE. I made a loss of N300k on that stock last week and i have sworn never to buy it again.

I didnt know much about the fundamentals of the company before i sank my fund there but after my loss, i had to research and my findings revealed i was foolish from the word Go.

Diamond sold about 20% of their equity to a foreign partner two years ago in order to get the necessary funds to boost their Tier 1 & 2 capital. That partner has been trapped in the Nigerian market since then and has been desperate to leave.

Hence, the profits of the company for the past two years has been channeled towards paying off the partner and this is expected to continue for the next two years. This same partner has fund managers in the country who manage their holdings and they have been divesting from the company gradually which is why you will notice heavy dumping whenever the share price gets close to N1.

They applying a two pronged approach in leaving the Nigerian market:

1. Sell back shares to the company in return for profits declared ( hence no dividend to other shareholders)

2. Sell shares to uninformed and stupid shareholders whenever the price is right, to reduce their holdings

We should always put it at the back of our mind during trading that share prices can always go north or south irrespective of Fundamental Analysis or Technical analysis. We need to always plan a trade and trade the plan ...quote from Bull Mkt.

We should all know the acceptable loss we can take on very trade, if your own is =N=100,000 then you will have moved out of trade before you reach =N=300,000.00 loss position. When you reach a profit target, you should also moved out in the same way.

It simply takes emotion and hope out of your trading. Dmd Bank may not be good for you now but may be the best stock in another period.

My opinion.

My name is john. Am twenty one
Here is my story. Not just a story but an irony of truth and lies.
Do u know that if any human clocks 50 all he keeps thinking was his death?....(daddy said so)
Just like a utility maximisation, we tend to reach to a point and depreciate.
My father abandoned me and my siblings
just because he will soon die and he need to plan and enjoy the few years he has to spend on earth. He told my Mum that we all have our own future fend for. if we keep expecting him to pay our school fees, buy cloths and feed us complete thrice and many more that we are joking.. He also told my elderst brother that the money he has is for him and his wife. I thought the joke was a plank.. Not until when my two elder brother left the home to no destination.. I sat to share issues with my mum who pointed out vividly that my Daddy made the right decision.
So i wonder if that is right.. Is it only my father that has that mentality or is it a general undertaken. Someone needs a help.
Wrong Mentality, at age 50, he should be coaching his sons on how to be successful and help all his siblings to fly high and also avoid all the mistakes he made in life. Rich folks always put their sons and daughters in a vantage position so they can take over their bizness. They employ poor folks to do the dirty deals...

A good man leave inheritance for his childrens children. The simple fact is that success can come at any age, these are list of folks that still made it after age 40,

Ray Kroc spent his career as a milkshake device salesman before buying McDonald's at age 52 in 1954. He grew it into the world's biggest fast-food franchise.

Taikichiro Mori was an academic who became a real estate investor at age 51 when he founded Mori Building Company. His brilliant investments made him the richest man in the world in 1992, when he had a net worth of $13 billion.

Wally Blume had a long career in the dairy business before starting his own ice cream company, Denali Flavors, at age 57 in 1995. The company reported revenue of $80 million in 2009.

Harland Sanders, better known as Colonel Sanders, was 62 when he franchised Kentucky Fried Chicken in 1952, which he would sell for $2 million 12 years later.

Anna Mary Robertson Moses, better known as Grandma Moses, began her prolific painting career at 78. In 2006, one of her paintings sold for $1.2 million.

Harry Bernstein spent a long life writing in obscurity, achieving notoriety at long last at age 96 for his 2007 memoir "The Invisible Wall: A Love Story That Broke Barriers."
