educate yourself via the internet, its not some cooked up story. you people seem to hate the fact that pastors are successful people, would you rather prefer a well known ritualist to live exotic lifestyles? there is nothing like gullibility here because it is a known. fact that he's a rich man with businesses across africa and dubai. feel free to let ignorance deny you from knowing what's true and valid
Christ owns the whole world but he choose to trek around preaching gospel to every one... Maybe Christ should have used Angels as bodyguards.. the way some of our folks currently do.

Peter, James and John have big fish biz and are partners and yet no one hear about their earth biz.

Nobody hate successful folks but as a pastor, there is need for moderation. Folks should know for your message of salvation and moderation in all things not your material possessions.

This guy pulls crowd more than any single MOG in Nigeria. I used to watch his preachings back then on MyTV. That guy's prophecies are hotter than T.B Josh's.

Anybody that can pull half of that guy's crowd can never be poor in 5000 years. I don't care whether he thrives on tithe payers money or not. If y'all think it is easy to run a church, then go ahead to open one. Some of you cannot even organize a successful family meeting for 6 people, let alone run an entire stadium to overflow. Shior!
Some persons go there for healing, others business insights, ideas, personal development, marriage tips, and they receive blessings in multiple, so why wouldn't he remain blessed?

Some persons here love to run down these guys, yet can't manage one wife in your homes... Ordinary marriage with 1 human being, some of you get scared, yet you find MOG's works so easy and cheap.

Keep balling man!
No one is balling the man, the word of God is available for any man to read and understand.

Christ while on earth has the authority to do and undo and yet you see Christ trekking the whole place preaching the gospel. And you folks think he cant speak and let all Angels carry him all about during his ministry on earth.

Jacob's well was there; and Jesus, tired from the long walk, sat wearily beside the well about noontime.

Some of the disciples of Christ are wealthy folks, but you never hear any account of them listing the no of cars; houses; ships, horses etc they acquired for themselves. Focus is simply on salvation, any other message biz, personal dev, cars, houses etc are secondary issues.

CareerRe: Dear Employer, Have You Seen Neymar New Salary Breakdown? – Nigerian by Willie2015: 7:56am On Aug 05, 2017
Bimpe29:
Reactions continue to trail Neymar’s €222m move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain, and a Nigerian has issued a hilarious warning to his employer.

The Nigerian, Ayodimeji Badejoko, in a Facebook post, highlighted his qualities, which he noted far supersede the 25-year-old Brazillian’s, before concluding with “Do the needful before you start counting your loss like Barcelona FC.”

He wrote

Dear employer,
Shame on you.
Have you seen #Neymar new salary breakdown?
He is a community primary school dropout but I am a graduate,
He can’t communicate in English but my communication skills are great assets,
He exhibits extreme pride but I am humble & meek,
He is rebellious and could be violent at workplace but I am very jovial and a team player.
He is Neymar Jnr but I am a first born.
With all these bad traits, he still got a new pay package.
I have better qualities than #Neymar
Do the needful before you start counting your loss like BarcelonaFC.
Yours faithfully,
#ayoSpecie
This is the hard fact about life, the summary is in the below statement in Ecc 9 :11

I have observed something else under the sun.
The fastest runner doesn't always win the race,
and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle.
The wise sometimes go hungry,
and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy.
And those who are educated don't always lead successful lives.
It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.

The only biz you can do to generate this type of return is lending business. You lend at 20- 30% per month, you need to be tough, rugged and work with security outfit backing you up in case of default. Even with that, u should expect some level of bad debt.

Apart from this, it is xtremely difficult... Cost of doing biz in Nigeria is relatively high and has reduced margin in most biz.

Exactly, thats the likely miracle...... Dany and team will fumble till the end, Sir Jorah shows up as a war veteran strategist and turn the table against Cersei.

Cersei may not agree to surrender but if Jamie see the Army of the Dead once....he may threaten Cersei and join hands with Jon Snow, Dany to fight the White Walkers. All these war mongering amongst all participants will stop once they see the Army of the Dead.

Everyone understand that the end has come, no throne for anyone. Even Jon Snow and Tormund clear for area when they see the Army of the Dead.

AgricultureRe: People Look Down On Farming. Why? by Willie2015: 5:22pm On Jul 25, 2017
tonytizzle:
People look down on farming. Why?
- Farming in Nigeria is still at its crude stage...just production with archaic tools...
- Processing of farm inputs in the value chain is almost zero....
- Middlemen/Agent problem is an hydra headed monster, they always cheat farmers...
- Lack of Govt subsidy to encourage farmers....
-the average farmer is at the last man in the chain..... he bear all the risks ...... with almost no value for all his efforts.
- Lastly, we only have few successful farmers on the commercial level.

If anyone can work around all the above problem... then that individual is on a goldmine.

If it was a non-christian that said this now, nobody will say it's money chasing.

Well, whatever you call it, the fact is, Christians/christian organisations are going to prosper beyond what people have ever seen and many will be surprised.
Just watch out.
No one have a problem with Christian prosperity, but there is a problem when a church is as rich as the IMF and the World Bank and yet 112m Nigerians are living below poverty level and more Nigerians are still joining them below that poverty level.

God made the Church rich so they can uplift the poor, God made the Church strong so they can help the weak.
Christianity EtcRe: "We Would Soon Be Richer Than IMF And Paris Club" - Bishop Oyedepo by Willie2015: 3:42pm On Jul 12, 2017
We have a long way to go in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

In a land where not less than 112m Nigerians (not less than 67.10%) are living below poverty level, this is the type of pronouncement that is coming from the Church. Warren Buffet that is worth over $73.2 billion dollars donated 99% of his wealth to philanthropic causes.

Bill Gates in 2013 says "I have no use for money, this is God’s work". This was after spending over $28bn for charity purpose and also convincing other mega rich folks that this is the way of the future. Gates explains: “The vast majority of the wealth, over 95 per cent, goes to the foundation, which will spend all that money within 20 years after neither of us are around any more.”

We need the church to lift million and millions of Nigerians out of poverty, and give them hope in this hour of darkness and hunger.

Reference:
No. Location does not guarantee success. Fundamentally, as long as you create and sustain value, you can prosper in any place. The three magnets of success are skill, risk and effort. Have them and you will become rich with time irrespective of where you are. 80 percent of revenues acrruable to footballers playing in the premiership comes from overseas attracted to an outstanding brand that offers great value. Many people work from home and I'm sure you've heard of the Indian ICT revolution drawing in billions from Europe and America in everything from calls to software to gaming from shanty basements next to paddy fields. Much of the stuff you use today comes from China. The average Chinese man has never been near an airport.

No, you don't need to travel, just create value. Most people who travel go to 'seek', most people who succeed on the other hand have it in them. I'm at the UK, the States, Canada, Germany, France, Spain and other countries almost on a daily basis but I do not go there, my business does on my behalf. So my economy is not Nigerian but my location is and I have no intention whatsoever of ever stepping into an airport or attending a visa interview. It is my hope that it is my clients who will do the travelling after all it is me sweating day after day to create value. I have no reason to run up and down as well.
Best post...

OP, reading your story i have to ask myself that hope am not the one that wrote this in my subconsciousness. i am also under pressure to get a visa and leave this country. I lost my job last year due to downsizing and i have tried some very small Businesses with what i had but at the end none is yielding, people owing me here and there. The economic environment is not friendly.

In all sincerity, i do not really keen about travelling out but what other options do i have left now, i am in my late thirty with a family and we all need to survive. The few companies that are employing make tougher their recruitment Process due to large, unprecedented number of people in the labour market, this make it a bit hard to get a job now. There is no hope in sight that things will get better any time soon.

Well, i am still trusting God on this before i take any decision.
Can relate with your post, dont stop praying and doing critical evaluation.

We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps. Prov 16, 9

You should try and focus on providing services rather than product based business...

Try and look at business you can do right in your house, trading Nigerian stocks is a perfect example....

Nigerian universities will not be like Harvard or any of the universities you've mentioned simply because we are a poor country at the moment whether we accept it or not. I got convinced during my first exposure to western education. The UK/US university system gets funding from their government as well as well-meaning donors .In the UK the government allocates a fixed number of slots for its citizens on each program a university offers. For each of these slots the government allocates about GBP9,000 while the student who is able to get admitted pays about GBP3,000 . Thus the university gets a fee of approximately GBP12,000 on each student aside from research grants, fees from international students and other source of funding. I looked at the university of glasgow budget for 2014 and its was around the region of GBP500M . More than the budget of an entire state in Nigeria. Our universities are poorly funded and as such cannot compete with universities in the first world.

A revolution will not bring UI and HArvard at par. Nigerians need to focus/tackle the root cause of our problems and rather than allowing emotion take control of our reasoning.
Nigerian universities can be like Havard if the elites/leaders get their focus right. We are not poor but our leaders have failed to harness our resources to reach our full potentials due to their greed. That,s the problem!

History teaches us that Obafemi Awolowo performed wonders (Built a university, cocoa house, gave free education to all & sundry etc)just from the proceed of cocoa production and processing. Nigerians should be living in El Dorado by now if our leaders are not greedy and myopic

History teaches us that there has been no real societal change without element of revolution & violence. You will wonder how UI VC that attended the convocation of his son in US will come back a week after and shut down a citadel of learning. I can bet that he will not shut down that school if his son and children of Atiku, Buhari, Babangida, etc are students of U.I.

Funding of university is a function and ability of our leaders to put our resources to full use. Until the masses unite and stand up to fight every injustice from the elites with force and violence, we will continue to suffer in silence and at the same time create hydra headed problems for future generations to come.

The issue here is that it feels i will be starting life all over again, after the MSC then what ? Come back ? Job search again?? I also have a girl friend i have been committed to and we both have been planning to settle down next yr.

I am so confused and i cant plan my future any longer. Some people have adviced that living abroad is always better than nigeria while others have said , if you are ok here why move.

Plz career experts and experinced ones should plz advice me putting into consideration my relationship commitments too.

You sound so bitter . Studying in the UK or anywhere else is not a crime and don't make the assumption that everyone with a child studying in the west is/was a looter . Celebrate good things and work towards getting your own / progressing in life. No need ranting at the man.
We still have a long way to go in Nigeria if we still have folks reasoning this way.

There is no big deal in studying in the UK if our leaders create an environment for our universities to rank at par with these foreign universities in terms of quality. If OAU, Unilag and UI ranking is same as Havard and Cambridge in terms of quality and ranking, no one will give a damn about someone going to UK to study.

We need a revolution, that is the only way forward but I dont think this generation is ready for this!

“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."
