what is the percentage ROI for FGN bonds and for how many years
FGN Saving Bonds - 2 to 3years tenor - 13 to 14% rate

FGN Bonds - 3 -20 years tenor - Rate fluctuates (10 - 16% ) rate
InvestmentRe: Mutual Funds by Willie2015: 3:13pm On Sep 13, 2017
CuteRedd:
you can check out transberg although their model is quite different and would benefit people looking for long-term investments opportunities not short term investors.
It is advisable to stick with Treasury Bills... If you want long term investments, shift to FGN Bonds or FGN Savings Bonds. All these crowdfunding schemes are temporary and you may lose your funds.

Be wise

Christianity EtcRe: OPINION!! A Worker Is Not Suppose To Put Below 1,000 Naira In An Offering Box... by Willie2015: 11:03am On Sep 10, 2017
Saintsammurai:
SO many NIGERIA christians are with these mindset of going to church with any amount of cash in their their hands..to use for offering....AS a worker or as an employed human, that receives monthly salaries,, And as a true and a non hypocritical christian, you should be able to put nothing below 1,000 naira every sunday in the offering box. "You cannot spend thousands on drinks, food and recharge cards, including dstv and go tv subscriptions, etc.. without setting outside nothing less than Four thousand naira for the four sundays in a month, just to use as an offering, "note" "this is excluding "tithe" "Putting 100 naira, 500 naira, 50 naira in an offering box shows disrespect and disregard for GOD almighty, for he deserv much more than that.....WE dont have to be christians by mouth making, we need to show it too with our money....i hope you all change for the glory of GOD.
It is not every Sunday you have money for offering so dont blame folks that give =N=500 and below.

I give tithe and offering once in a month.

I don't bother myself with how many times they move the offering box around.
RomanceRe: I'm A Young Female With A Good Job, Do I Really Have To Settle For Less? by Willie2015: 10:02am On Sep 07, 2017
missloluwa:
Hey guys,

I'm in my mid 20's and i've been working for a few years now, my current salary is very decent and i'm striving to earn more. Obviously at my age, i'm thinking of the long term which obviously includes my career but i'm also looking forward to and marriage and kids. However, the vast majority of guys i've met are either not ready for the long term, or they're still in their 'struggling' phase.

Is it bad that I want someone who is at least on the same level as me, or maybe even slightly below? Am I a 'gold-digger' because i don't really want to 'eat garri' with a guy before he blows? I've dated these guys before but even till now their level hasn't changed much despite all their talk about potential.

I don't mind having to split the bill once in a while or even contribute but i'm a lady that's used to certain tastes. My family isn't Dangote rich but we're doing quite well, and i'd like to continue living that life or at least not drop too far below. What do you guys think? Do I keep looking for these 'almost/made guys'(can anyone tell me where to find them? lol) or do I settle for a struggler.
Life is not straight.

I have seen guys that are wealthy and successful becoming nothing within a period, I have seen those that society says they have no future ambition becoming wealthy and successful.

This is a critical stage that you need Gods guidance and the effective solution is to go to him in prayers. God will surely direct your steps.

with HUGE penalties on your interest, with MMF your interest are intact with minimal charges.
No huge penalties on interest pls

because with MMF you can get your money out as early as 1month after investment without penalties.
You can get your money out from TBills anytime, you only loose part of your interest which is a fair deal.

You can fund the account through an online deposit... Just like you fund your bet9ja account, or make payment online with your debit card.

Compound interest is really magical. 18% seems small but over years it amounts to something big. But im young sha. I want to take more daring risks.
Stanbic MMF doesn't invest in Stock market. They invest in same Treasury bills and other money market instruments. The good thing is that they offer greater rates and liquidity.
So why give it to Stanbic when I can invest it directly in the same TBills, & other money mkt instrument and Stanbic will still charge mgt fees for doing nothing.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Why You Should Be An Employee by Willie2015: 9:24am On Sep 01, 2017
adexsng:
Despite the recent surge of articles on why you should be an entreprenuer, be your own boss, and all that...which is actually fine by some people, this write up is not to counter such articles but balance our lines of thought and consider some reasons why you just may prefer to be an employee.

1. Not every one is cut out for entreprenuership....Some people just love the 8-5, 30-days-make-a-pay lifestyle.

2. It is not a crime to be an employee. Some people just aspire to be a manager or a director in a blue chip company....I know of someone who rose from the bottom in UAC to the topmost position.

3. Employees get immense benefits e.g health scheme for you and your family, retirement pay, periodic local and foreign trainings/conferences, paid vacations...these are some great stuffs you may not afford yourself. Companies that offer these exists and you will love to work for them.

4. Less concern with the various governemtal agencies who keep knocking on you door for compliance/payment/regulation etc

5. Being an entreprenuer is not a guarantee that you will be rich or have all the time in the world. There are entreprenuers who, day in day out, do LOTS OF LOW PAY CHEQUE JOBS and never have the time or money.

6. Earn lots of money and invest for your old age.

Don't just save up money and jump into the sea of "being your own boss" without guidance. There are many sharks out there, so dont bleed.
Pls everyone should learn to run simple business.

Having a restaurant business, piggery business, cow fattening business, transportation business is not a rocket science.

Only few folks will get to earn lots of money in their lifetime via salaries and get to be a director or MD.

You can only work for 35 years in most private coys then you get kicked out.

Then you will face the business world unprepared at an old age.

Just try and have a small scale business running while being an employee. It will prepare you for greater challenges.

Yes bro. Blaming Dangote for trying to improve the economy and also make good money from it, is a way of proving the cluelessness of many Nigerians
Pls read how Obasanjo regime signed unserious concessions for Dangote for 7 years...that single act nearly extinguished all major competitors in the Cement sector.

No one can do that in a sane environment!!!!!

I wonder why others are not investing on this scale. He is not the only billionaire in Nigeria.
Dangote is an economic terrorist, thats just the plain thruth.

Let the FG give half of the support given to Dangote to other businesses, you will see the glaring change. I leave you with the summary of Wikileaks on Dangote.

1. (C) Summary. Alhaji Aliko Dangote (Dangote) is Nigeria’s most well known
businessperson and may be its wealthiest citizen. He has taken on
the aura of an economic folk hero for some, villain for others.
To supporters, he symbolizes that Nigeria can do more than barter and
trade. It can succeed in manufacturing. To detractors, he is
a predator using connections in a corrupt political economy to tilt
the playing field in his favor and sideline potential competition.
The truth resides somewhere between these caricatures.
Dangote is counted among President Obasanjo’s inner circle of business
advisors. It is no coincidence that many products on Nigeria’s import
ban lists are items in which Dangote has major interests.

¶2. (C) Summary Cont’d: Although an undiluted success in terms of wealth accumulation,
Dangote personifies the duality in Nigeria’s economy. This duality
presents a dilemma for US economic policy. On one hand, Dangote imports
significant amounts of US produce and equipment for his manufacturing
ventures. On the other, he has had success blocking trade and investment
that might compete with his enterprises. Weighing everything in
the balance, we believe the Dangote model is harmful to Nigerian and
American interests in the long run. Unfortunately, the Dangote model
will likely be the one most emulated until its beggar-thy-countrymen
contradictions become more apparent. End summary.

Hope all these targets are achieved and some crazy cabal somewhere don't sabotage his efforts, 2019 is still a bit far o.
The Federal Government has indicated that it relies heavily on the Dangote refinery to fulfil its promise to Nigerians.

When the hope of the FG and the entire 180 million Nigerians rest in the hands of a single individual, Dangote. All of us will soon become Dangote slaves since FG cant think beyond their dick that this is a monopoly!

Once he coughs in cement, sugar, flour, salt, pasta, beverages sector, all Nigerians coughs. They should just simply donate the country to Dangote as a gift.

My thoughts,

- It is good to get some experience by working before starting a business, but don't stay in the rat race for too long.
- There is a cap on the number of years you can work as an employee.
-You even get kicked out easily in today,s job market.
- You will still need to fallback on business as soon as you leave paid job.
- It is difficult to start biz at this stage with zero experience, most lose their life savings & capital in the process.
- No one get wealthy by being an employee....

Goat farming is one of those agricultural ventures that can make you a fortune.

Nonetheless, it isn’t without its own challenges, especially in Nigeria. The secret to success is to learn much about the care and business of goat farming. And that's why I visit this thread from time to time. Hope the info will not stop coming.

I have also put together a piece on how to start goat farming in Nigeria.
It's a beginners guide.
You can check it out here: http://www.trustorrun.com/start-goat-farming-beginners/
Have fun.
How do you make fortune in goat farming ?

- Don't see any commercial farms around like piggery, poultry etc
- Even the North depends on the small scale holders to supply their markets
- Don't see anyone ard making good monthly income from breeding goats around
- Exotic goats like Boer & Kahalari are not even available on ground
- We see around guys that made it cool dough from poultry and piggery etc..... u dont get to see wealthy goat farmers around.
