FamilyRe: Why Fathers Are Neglected In Old Age. ( A Must Read For Guys) by Willie2015: 11:24am On May 23, 2017
AstuteJay:
Let's not kid ourselves, the most important factor is the financial muscle. Once this is intact, the father rules his entire life.

Even when the kids are all grown and doing well, they dare not mess up with him because they still need his goodwill and contacts. If and when the mother messes up, the father (a typical African man) marries another wife and moves on with his life.

Dear men, let's do everything possible to build our financial muscle so as to continue to wield the big stick our entire life!

Power resides where money is.
Financial muscle is good but you need your family (wifes, children etc) around your during your old age when there is nothing to hustle for again.
The Nigerian work setting of 5am to 9 pm is not good for a young family. Most fathers dont get to know their kids as early as possible, once you miss this bonding from age (1-13), it hardly works again.

The result is barking, shouting and using force to achieve results with children.

The woman has to be blamed the most for supporting the idea with a man to do this. The motherhood nature of every woman would fight against this evil to children. Do you know what it is to carry a child for nine month and give birth to him or her?. If you are a man then ask a woman who has been pregnant.
So why is the fatherhood nature of the man not fight against evil to children ?

Are they ghosts or heavenly spirits that the man will not care about his offspring ?

Did both of them not consent on bringing a child to the world ? Are they not jointly responsible for the well being of the baby ?

Why is dat some women are so heartless in nature. If you knw dat u dont need baby, why getting pregnant?
Am very sure she av tried all best to abort d baby while she's pregnant.
Why is dat some men are wicked ? If you dont want to marry a girl, you use protection and dont get the woman pregnant.

It takes two (man and woman ) to do this. Why blame the woman only?

I met my wife (very beautiful, humble Igbo gal) in 2012, and we've been datin since then. We both from Imo State...

On tht same year we met, I moved to south Africa to study an still residing in SA. I see her twice a year, and she visits SA as well. We got married ths past February, and few days after our wedding, I had to return.

But now I feel I made a very big mistake by marrying her, not because she's bad for me bt because I've realized I'm not in love with her anymore. I don't know wat to do, she's such a wonderful lady. God fearing, sings in the church choir, young and beautiful.

How should I let her know that i'm not in love with her anymore? I'm scared of the embarrassment my parents will bare with all of this? Our pastor at church? Her family? I don't believe in divorce, so are my parents...but what do I do in this situation?. undecided
Bros, go and learn how to love your wife. It takes time and you can do it.

Seek Gods face in prayers and let God take control of your heart.

You also need to check the type of friends and company you keep to just have a change of heart like that.

U never jam, when you jam bad girlz, you will appreciate your wife more and treat her like a Queen

You keep wasting your mom's money on exams....and you keep failing them..rubbish!
This is not the way to scold someone, this is the way to kill this youth spirit.

Op - Dont give up, focus and study hard, dust up yourself and try again. Learn from this failure and rise up. Failure is part of life, it makes us stronger ...... you can become the best student in Jamb history.

I have always been inspired by story of Abraham Lincoln, with 29 years of failure yet refuse to give up

At 22, he failed in business.
One year later, he ran for the legislature and lost.
At 24, he experienced a second business failure.
At 26, the woman he loved passed away, and he suffered a nervous breakdown the next year.
At 29, he lost another political race, and
At 34, he made an unsuccessful run for Congress.
At 37, he did get elected to Congress, only to be defeated again two years later.
At 46, he lost his bid for the Senate, and the next year, he failed in his attempt to become vice president.
At 49, he was defeated for the Senate again.
He had four sons, but only one lived to adulthood.
At 51, Abraham Lincoln was elected president of the United States, and successfully led the country through one of its most difficult periods.

We will all fail in life, but nobody has to be a failure. Failing at a thing doesn't make you a failure. You are only a failure when you quit trying.

And if reversal did not come on Thursday, then we will have grandpa of all bears. The golden rule is to always have a stop loss price and preserve your capital.

There is no room for hope on the stock mkt, if I enter a trade, once i hit my profit target, I sell irrespective of the bull rally.

Once it reach my stop loss, i exit irrespective of the hope of reversal. No one, no one can predict the mkt.... every action based on (both technical * fundamental analysis) are judgements which can also be wrong.

May 2016 - CBN introduced the floating xchange rate - we had a bull run from month of May till June

May 2017 - CBN introduced another special window - we had the same bull rally, the question is whether it will last like the previous year.

Senate passing 2017 budget is good news..lets hope the rally continue 2mmorrow.

u people re terrible Saudi Arabia imported many cows from Holland before they start their dairy productions ,ve u ever see a female Fulani cow with big breast? Never ,one Swiss cow is bigger than 3 Fulani cows put together, china buy their beef meat from Brazil or do u want China to start producing fake meat ? U people argue without sense angry
We are always turning everything upside down in Nigeria. Importing cows is not sustainable. I expect Akwa Ibom policy makers to do the following for sustainability,

- Sign a MOU with Mexico to develop the state dairy sector.
- Organise training for state farmers on artificial insemination program and dairy farming
- Get exotic cows semen from Mexico through the MOU
- Susbsidize the cost of the semen to dairy farmers accross the state
- Have a ten year program of eliminating local cows in the state through artificial insemination.

This is the blueprint that Kenya had with Holland for development of their dairy sector. Importing cows is just another hype that will die a natural death.

We need a sustainable program and importing cows is not sustainable.

Sheer wickedness.
We all make mistakes; even Apostle Paul killed many Christians even before encountering Christ. He did not commit suicide.

No need to kill herself because of any shame or any guilt, the girl just need to repent and sin no more.

The EPS of fcmb is currently 97kobo.
They had a good result that can keep the stock busy thru out the year.
Market makers are sucking the sellers @#1.00.
It is entering into the hands of long term investors from retail investors.
Q1 result will be released on friday(28April) according to their events calendar.
Expect a powerful result that will shake the floor.
Heavy volumes in action for the past one week.
History will repeat itself.sometime in MAY last year,it was trading @1.79 after Q1 result was released.
Just try to get yours at #1.00 while the offer lasts.
If you missed Transcorp @72 kobo, dont miss fcmb @1.00.
Both are going in the same directions and to create wealth for investors.
Price increase in May 2016 is as a result of the rumor of the New Flexible Exchange Rate by CBN later unveiled in June 2016.

I doubt if we can have the same type of sharp increase this year but I hope we can get a decent 20%.

[quote author=Next2Bezee post=55811020]We have suffered in this country.

This is why i feel sorry for those people that 'sow seed' with their monthly salaries and saying its for God. embarassed

Their seed goes into the pockets of the so called men of god instead of towards helping those in need. And the hungry congregation will continue paying tithes and seeds as well as start begging this pastor for money as well. sad

Proverbs 8:5

O simple ones, learn prudence; O fools, learn sense.

What is the big deal in folks sowing seed with monthly salaries ?

The widow of Shunamite was in great poverty but still "sow" the last jar of oil to the man of God. Her action was stupid and yet God rewarded her with enough oil.

PoliticsRe: TSA: Nigerian Government Realises N7trillion by Willie2015: 11:31am On Apr 20, 2017
southpole:
Actually I am very much disappointed in your argument and reasoning.

Now hear you.

You started by listing high cost of items you need to start a business including tyres, then you stated that you can double N100' 000 in one year with a handset in the comfort of your room, what a contradiction? So it means that not all businesses need those costly items to start with. So instead of discouraging young entrepreneurs why not teach them how to start a business that can turn N100,000 into N200,000 in the comfort of their rooms using a handset which almost all of them already have?. By your claim every person with a handset already has what it takes to start a businesses that will turn N100,000 into N200'000 in one year, and those with N200, 000 will have N400,000 in one year and they dont need N34,000 to buy tyres, they dont need N24,000 to buy car battery , they dont need to contend with police, frsc and other security agents on the roads and upon that they dont need to buy fuel for N145 per liter to run their businesses so why are you discouraging them?

My friend you have what it takes to support the new change. If you can organise and train just 10,000 youth in a year in this your business and each of them train another 10,000 in one or 2 years and the chain continuous it will provide jobs for millions of people. By the way money is in technology driven businesses.

Not every business need those high cost items to start with as you rightly confirm with your 100,000 naira business. When you are ready to start the training let me know so that I can sponsor some people and pay what ever fees you will charge so as to contribute to the change.
LET GET TO WORK AND STOP COMPLAINING
Keep your disappointment to yourself and read my comments carefully.

My argument is still simple, it is not advisable to start a business in a recession period. The bottom line is that it will collapse like any other business in this harsh environment. I am not trying to discourage any young entrepreneur, I am only giving folks a dose of reality.

Preservation of capital is of utmost important in this period.

Dont twist my comments.
You clearly stated that stocks are for the rich and also mentioned example of your friends that made =N=300 dividend from Zenith Stock. My comments is to change your mindset that stock trading is not only for the Rich, poor folks can also make use of amount like =N=100k to trade.

Pls dont go about smooth talking pple into wasting their scarce resources in the name of starting one biz in this recession. The simple truth is that business are likely to survive when the economy is not in recession and I will have been on ground zero if I started my biz during this recession.
