Seriouslyhuh,must you comment huh huh
a banker should try to get additional source of income? During what time if I may ask??
With the little time they have to rest their tired bones 4rm their "dawn to dusk" work or when?
Bankers are not lazy, and they might depend on solely only their employer 4 dia income, because that is what the have the time doing. The banking environment doesn't give you time to do any other thing. Excerpt your are a manager or top executive
You don't sit down and wait for only your salary. Don't deceive yourself that you don't have time, you leverage on trusted people and know your environment. The truth is that you will leave the Bank one day (either you get sacked or you resigned), you will still face the same hard reality.

Some of you that rant be creative go and start your business are you people that dummmb!where do u want a graduate with little or no experience or capitals to start business, what business are you doing,I guess recharge cards abi, even agriculture you still need capitals so where can u get the money, even if u have the best idea banks will never give u their money without good collateral, oga just shut the up,my advice to graduate just try and leave this shiit country
You don't need huge capital to start a business.

My meat seller in the market started with only =N=15,000.00 in the local market. He goes to the Hausa section to buy goats for =N=7,500.00. He butchered the goat and make a profit of around =N=4,000.00 to =N=5,000.00 on each goat. He butchered an average of 4 -5 goat on weekends.....he makes more money per month than a contract staff in a bank.

My classmate got his family members to get him a Sharan Mini Van after graduation. He drive the Sharan Van himself, he makes an average on =N= 100,000.00 in a month less expenses. He currently have additional five cars he manages for other people (inclusive mine).

The vendor that roofed my house and complete the lintel is a final year student of Electrical Engineering of a federal university. I know of at least six houses he roofed with his team.

Look around your environment, there are opportunities all over.

@Cramjomes, I think contract staff should be abolished in banks. The banks may say they cant absorb everyone as a full staff, but there is something they can do.
They should have a unit under there HCM unit that would handle contact staff.
Fact is I work as a contract staff with one of the 1st generation banks. I take home 64k (Cum rain or sunshine). But our employers are paid 150k. They give us 64k, pay 14k as pension n also subscribe to Standard Plan HMO for us. (Just malaria n typhoid treatment)
Atleast they have an interest of. @Least 60k per head monthly n we are over 250 in my unit (call centre) who are contract staff.
Bankwide, the agents employs all the tellers, dsa' s, drivers et al.
So we all are working for them. If only we can b directly employed by d bank, then we can boast of 120k take home even as associate staff.

Pls note that some of us wer receivin 40k as salary 4 4years before the increase in salary to 64k. Some of us have spent over 5years doing d same job.
This is my contribution to wat can b done differently.
There is enough unemployed youths that are ready to take these jobs, contract staffs is an effective way of reducing staff cost for most employers. Every employee should strive to get additional source of income to augment his salary. The problem is that most bankers are too lazy to think and mostly depend only on the income from their employer.

Arysexy:
11. While power reform has been commendable, and will continue, the approach will change. Transmission will be deregulated, regionalized and privatized in order to break down centralized transmission; issues of gas supply to Gencos will be addressed but the new government believes that DISCOs are the biggest bottlenecks presently; the government plan to add-on 4,000 MW of power every year and expect that output will be a minimum of 12,000 MW at the end of term of this mandate

The above can only be a tall dream. I repeat a tall dream.

Quote me after 2019. The same mistake Goodluck made.

Under estimate d rot in power industry at ur detriment.

The transmission infrastructure can't even carry 5000MW of power and this is a highly capital intensive aspect of power generation, transmission and distribution.

Buhari just exposed himself too early
I disagree with you. We need to decentralize transmission since the current national grid can only transmit about 7200 MW. If private investors and state government are able to switch to off grid power generation by relaxing the power sector law of allowing only licensed distribution company to trade in power, the better for Nigerians.

This is what Lagos State Govt and some private estates are doing to have 24 hrs supply. The incoming administration can replicate this in the industrial sectors in clusters thus freeing more capacity for the national grid. Once this is achieved, focus can now return to improving the capacity of the National Grid.

oga martineverzt...not quite so..few people think like you...most of the Nigerian populace vote by ethnicity and religion ..competence is never the issue. the real truth is that GEJ loss was due to his ethnic minority....if he was Hausa or Yoruba he will still win..
yes GEj was weak, but we would have been told that lets allow him to repeat etc...
check the pattern of voting in the 2015 presidential election it tells you all...competence was not the issue...he lost to Hausa and Yoruba mainly but got half the middle belt or north central. in 2011 he won almost all of the SW. he lost in the north. the voting pattern didn't change in the north in 2011 and 2015 .so it was not competence but ethnicity. the Yoruba joined because GMB this time picked from Tinubu clan not just any Yoruba man. if GMB had picked just any Yoruba man like he did in 2011 he would not win SW. period.
in nutshell , our politics is still all based on ethnicity and religion. any person telling you otherwise is fooling you
GEJ lost simply because of incompetence and not due to his ethnic minority. If GEJ performed, Nigerian will have giving him another ticket.
An average Nigerian that voted him in 2011 is simply not willing to vote for him in 2015.

GEJ team slept and dozed off, while the opposition team were working tirelessly to create a formidable team. If Buhari could pull over 12m votes in 2011, its not a rocket science to know that APC could pull off a win assisted by GEJ poor performance across board. He still got good votes from the SW but lost in the NC squarely. Opposition was smart to have picked an acceptable candidate given GEJ romance with churches.

There is no way ethnicity and religion will be totally removed from politics however the truth is that the opposition team was better prepared this time and also assisted by the poor performance of GEJ.

Look at the ranks of intelligent guys he pooled together, Fashola, Aregbesola, Osinbajo and other APC governors etc and compare their performance with their PDP counterparts in Nigeria. His idea of having a viable opposition in Nigeria alone is a landmark achievement.

Tinubu, Fashola and Ambode emerged winner in their polling units. Dynamics of Presidential Election & Governorship election are completely different.

I am a student of a state university I am in my third year now.
My first and second year grade were very low not that I don't study but I always seem to forget what I studied during exams.
When my first year result was out it was far below my expectations because I really took my time studying so as to make good grade but it was not so
I prayed about this.
Again in my second year same thing happened I don't know if its the way I study
I even get mocked by my friends whu don't even study as much as I do. I actually get depressed and sometime think of committing SUICIDE.
Sometimes I will leave my place of residence for the library for almost 6-8 hrs just for good grade but it will turnout the opposite.
I am in my third year and with exams fast approaching I will not like what has happened in the past happen again
Please I will like u to suggest ways IN WHICH I can read as well as retain as well as recall during exam
Get at least 6 years past questions before writing any exams. Solve these questions as if you are in the exam hall, then review your answers with suggested solutions. You should be able to see how far you can retain/recall during exam. Solve enough questions!!!!
You will be familiar with how to tackle questions during exam and reduce exam tension. You should have work through different scenarios that will make you confident.

MAIN REASONS WHY PDP DID NOT HAVE IT EASY THIS TIME AROUND YET.

1) ALL THE SOUTHERNERS STAYING IN THE NORTH THAT RAN AWAY DID NOT VOTE.

2)THOSE PRESENT WERE SCARED OF VOTING AND HENCE DID NOT VOTE.

3)INEC WOULD HAVE MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR PEOPLE TO VOTE ANYWHERE THEY ARE, SEEING THE LARGE POPULATION OF PEOPLE THAT CHANGED GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION THIS TIME AROUND AND HENCE INEC FAILED.

4)ALL INEC DID WHICH WAS CLEARLY IN FAVOUR OF APC WAS THE INTRODUCTION OF CARD READERS.

5)LOTS AND LOTS 0F UNDERAGED CHILDREN VOTED IN THE NORTH.

GEJ failed in this election because his performance during his administration was too poor. The simple Truth is GMB cant win this election if GEJ gave Nigerian an average performance across board. An average Nigerian that voted him in 2011 election is not willing to vote him in 2015. The opposition saw the opportunity and ride on the change message. Kudos to APC Team

You don't need any negative outlook on Buhari. GEJ is the architect of his own downfall.
He served as Governor of Bayelsa State from 2005 to 2007 with no improvement in the life of the masses of Bayelsa. Nigerian pple gave him another chance as the President, it still the same story of zero performance. Lets give another Nigerian a chance to lead us.

The message is simple to politicians, if you dont perform, Nigerian will send you packing irrespective of who you are! Power belong to us.

We all know the votes are going going to be split on ethnic and religious lines with just a small percentage voting on principle.
I lived in the North for some years, sincerely it is difficult to see an average hausa/fulani vote against their own.
