TravelRe: If Nigerians Are So Smart, Why Isnt Nigeria Developed? by WillTop: 10:02pm On Oct 05, 2019
Nigerian's only claim to be smart but we are actually not that intelligent (of course there will be pockets of intelligent people anywhere in the world but as whole most African countries are not smart). 1 simple example Nigeria population increased from approximately 45miillion in 1960 to 180million+ in 2019 predicted to be around 400 million in 2050 (using China population as an excuse to keep procreating without control) despite the increase in poverty, unemployment, high dependency ratio - This is the perfect definition of dumbness.

scaramucci:
I spent less than N20k From 2002-2006 in UNILAG.
Its a matter of time all these almost free university education will end in Nigeria (we are only postponing the pain to our children). We can't keep increasing in population at this rate (45 million 1960, projected 400 million in 2050) with the high poverty, unemployment pressure on infrastructure, poor leadership, bad citizenship, high dependency ratio (half of our population are children who need care, unemployed non productive adult) and keep expecting the price will remain like this. The signs are already showing, just check the proposed VAT increment the aim is to get it to 10% above
PoliticsRe: SERAP Drags Nigerian Officials To ICC ‘for Leaving 13.2m Children Out Of School by WillTop: 12:31pm On Jul 21, 2019
Birth control is the solution. Nigerians like running away from this truth, people give birth without any plan for the children, building extra schools (Money matters - check the revenue of most states in Nigeria can't pay workers salary) to accommodate this number will only be a short term solution if we keep this high birth rate.
Christianity EtcRe: COZA: Pastor Fatoyinbo Is Not Our Member- PFN by WillTop: 10:57am On Jul 03, 2019
Acidosis:
Not only COZA, even RCCG, Winners, Christ Embassy, MFM, and majority of modern Churches do not belong to any body.

Churches under PFN are not the very popular ones (my kind of Church)
This is not true, RCCG and winners are part of PFN and CAN, don't know of MFM. CAN and PFN are voluntary association mainly to protect the interest of Christians. There is freedom of religion no one can be forced to belong to a religious group. Every church determines its own doctrine not CAN.
Foreign AffairsRe: Egyptian Ex-president Morsi Was ‘killed’, Says Turkey's President Erdogan by WillTop: 11:54am On Jun 20, 2019
danjumakolo:
Morsi set up a powerful panel to crack down the church attackers, but the military was catalysed by the west to hasten the coup, but indeed we new the western stooge(Mubarak) could not withstand the fire power of the Arabian revolution and as such,he fell.
The western Powers never new islamic brotherhood could win.So when she did, they came up with plan B.
If you followed the story on CNN closely, you ought to have known that the crisis I talked about were
1..the secret Israeli group and co sponsored some few Egyptians to hatch an uprising on the flimsy reason that Morsi economic policies were bad.
2.Same secret group then hatched a second uprising simultaneously to kill non Muslims and burn some churches, such that Morsi regime was seen as anti non Muslims.
When this was done, the group now used Asisi military to overthrow Morsi and transform to a civilian gvt. This was evident in the way the west gave Asisi their nod which was contrary to the UN policy and democratic tenets(the majority party i.e the Islamic brotherhood was banned)

The rest we saw was a kangaroonian judicial process that led to this institutional democratic massacre.

Hope this helps.
This is pure conspiracy theory full of lies.
HealthRe: BREAKING: World Population Hits 7.7 Billion As Men Outnumber Women In Nigeria by WillTop: 1:03pm On Jun 18, 2019
There is a big literacy problem in Nigeria, people hold their sentiment above statistical facts. Nigeria having more men than women in Nigeria did not start today but have been so for years. The reason why polygamy still thrives is that men marry younger women (e.g in the North child marriage thrives). If all men are asked to marry women born the same year with them many men won't be able to find a partner.
PoliticsRe: Ondo Records Fastest IGR Growth As Nigerian States Generate N1.1tn In 2018 by WillTop: 10:06am On May 03, 2019
Approximately 200 million people with 36 states, A VERY POOR COUNTRY

VERY POOR COUNTRY... just check the population compared to the income generated... and people still keep stealing.
FamilyRe: Don't Become The Family ATM by WillTop: 3:32pm On Apr 18, 2019
African parents giving birth to children and handing over responsibility to the elder children. Many Nigerian youths are starting life with 2+ people depending on them. If we talk about birth control now some people will start shouting "what about China", "its government fault"
EducationRe: Babalakin: Varsities Can’t Survive On Govt Funding by WillTop: 7:17am On Apr 08, 2019
onyidon21:
What he said is actually true, but handing universities over to the private sector means outragrous increase in tuition fees, and considering the fact that 90 million Nigerians live in abject poverty,we can conclude that the government is not ready to get the masses educated if they tow that part
The government should concentrate on quality primary and secondary education mainly, scholarships can be given to high performing students who can't afford university education (ALUMNI can come into play here). There are too many people without desire for academics in our universities currently wasting public funds
PoliticsRe: Buhari Meets Saudi Energy Minister On Oil Price Stability - Photos by WillTop: 3:57pm On Apr 07, 2019

The corruption only makes matters worse.

Those who steal from Nigeria are like thieves stealing 5000 naira from a man with a family of four children who has eleven thousand naira

That is why we must fight corruption unceasingly. We must not tolerate the Gandollars and the Iboris among us
I salute you, you speak with valid knowledge, most Nigerians speak out of emotions only. Nigeria by all statistics is a VERY POOR country don't know why many can't just see the obvious. Corruption coupled with massive birth rate without plan only made issues worse

PoliticsRe: Nigerian Government May Increase VAT To Fund New Minimum Wage by WillTop: 2:17am On Mar 20, 2019
Kxngstein:
What if they leave the VAT the way it is and reduce the salaries and allowances of those senators and ministers?
A good idea to start with but unfortunately even if you stop paying them any kobo, Nigeria will still need to find other ways of generating revenue to handle the ever-increasing expenditure (e.g more schools to cater for the population). Maybe is the time the country start discussing our population growth rate (with a median age of 17/18), we might need to stop this CHINA population chase/comparison

U call Nigeria's treasury poor. Its so poor that it is being robbed everyday, yet it hasn't run dry. D robbing of this "poor treasury" has been going on 4 at least 3 decades& there's no end in sight yet d "poor treasury" hasn't run dry
Don't get emotional about it, statistically, Nigeria is a poor country. The oil unlimited resource myth is driving this country in the wrong direction.

The statement above not meant to underplay the issue of corruption in Nigeria

the state gets 49B monthly, plus NDDC allocation too. later them go blame northerners for their woes
This is false no state in Nigeria gets anything close to 49B monthly not even during the time oil sells for above $100 per barrel. We sometimes like exaggerating figures in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Proposes N8.83 Trillion Budget For 2019 by WillTop: 4:26pm On Dec 19, 2018
Tofax:
Reeling out Trillions of Naira every year without corresponding effect on the Life of Nigerians.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

This is not about APC or PDP. Nigeria is simply not working with the current arrangement. The unemployment rate is rising daily and the Population is increasing without corresponding increase in revenue and resources of the Nation.

Imaging a man who earns 200 thousands Naira a month with 4 children and after 16 years he has a total number of 10 children with the same amount of money. If he does not create additional avenue to support his family, he will find it difficult to meet up.
Why should a man have 10 children in a country with high poverty putting huge pressure on resources (even people in rich countries like Sweden don't give birth to plenty of children like that so that the next generation can keep enjoying the benefits of a prosperous nation with high per capita income) Please nobody should mention what about China without considering a lot of factors lets not make Nigeria's mission only to overtake China in population.
EducationRe: Facts About Nigeria's "Poor" Education System That Will Make You Agree With ASUU by WillTop:
Gr8amechi:
You are very wrong, stop following or reading about just USA.
Check the whole of Europe and see how very possible it is to have free education and make it work.
Our government internationally kill these sectors so they make us think it's not possible only to sell them to themselves.

The only solution to these whole issue is to create a total ban on private owned schools and see if these public schools wouldn't be fixed
For Europe to keep enjoying free education they keep a manageable population growth rate but here in Nigeria no one wants to talk about how a country with an estimated population of 45million+ in 1960 is now about 180million+ (with over 50% less than 30years - signifying active reproductive period) and will likely grow to 400million in 2050. We can't have it both ways if we want to have what Europe is enjoying now we must pay the sacrifice
