Goztino: So you mean that as a Biology graduate, I can actually get a job as a programmer (if I have the skills) and then use the job offer to gain permanent residency in Germany?
Won't they ask me the relationship between biology and programming?
Programming is not by any means related to biology which happens to be the course of study in University Bro if you are good, your employer will go all the way to retain you. There is always an exception to every case. I know of a student(Indian), came as a student and after 2 months got a job and applied for blue card. Nothing is impossible, besides, I am yet to see anyone who finished his degree and was sent home because he did not get a job that commensurates what he studied. You can choose to return if you feel, and have a higher dream like the poster in the other thread. |

Goztino: What a wonderful response. Please at the bolded, how can someone change to IT field if he didn't get job related to his field after graduation? I am admitted to Applied Geoscience in RWTH Aachen University. I am highly dedicated to work really hard to get professional Job but won't mind changing to IT field if I don't get job after graduation. Is it by starting a fresh Msc? I heard Bsc demands fluency in Deutsch. Please I really wanna know how to change to IT if it comes to worst since it seems that's where there are lots of jobs. Mehn, were you the one asking if you can earn €10k a year working as a student? If yes, hmm unless you don't want to abandon your education, RWTH is among the top 5 schools in Germany, be prepared. When I mean be prepared, start reading and researching on the modules you are going to take. e go be like dream, when u enter class and after 90mins, you will start soul searching and asking yourself if you really attended a University in Nigeria. True story ohh |

Goztino: According to German system for permanent residency, the student should get job related to course of study for permanent residency. If that is the case, it means you must get job related to your Msc degree not programming before you can be considered for permanent residency?
Please this is just a question, I will really want people to clarify this point. My priority is to follow every possible path to get permanent residency irrespective of the initial payment Bro, there is always a way out. Even if you study Biology and you get a job as a programmer, what really matters is your paygrade, which in my analogy is not going to be bad. But, if you studied Geoscience and end up working in Amazon, then you have explaining to do. |

Most companies do not have an on-premise infrastructure unless you want to venture into the telecommunication, data center Industry, there, you need more than CCNA to survive. |

Siralgebra04: Oh! You are still on this issue? U must b confused, now let me do d analysis for u. It's known that breaking starts 8:45pm (Dutch time), the started 9pm (Dutch time), d speculator that spread d rumour said d guy was spotted 24mins into d play i.e 9:24pm (Dutch time). Now use ur thinking faculty, btwn 8:45pm and 9pm bfore d game started, his movement shud btwn dressing and d field. He had 15mins to break and revive maximum energy for d important match. The player must b very concerned and conscious abt his breaking, so logically he must have taken something b4 entering d field, that one is certain. I'm a Muslim, I know how it feels when it's breaking time. Truly, he might later drink water during d match but that water couldn't have been what he used to break. It's even possible he didn't fast at all, who knows. So, take d news as a mere speculation. The guy didn't say it himself during interview, so stop assuming.Stop beating ur chest on what u don't know. Dude simple google use will tell you that Iftar is not 8.45 pm but 9.19pm. Now let us use your thinking faculty. The game started at 9 pm ( Berlin time) which is the same for the Netherlands, read up on time zones. He started playing and 24mins into the game grabbed some liquid stuff to drink and to break his fast. So whoever assumed, assumed correctly. Since he is a Muslim and not ashamed of it. I hope your thinking faculty can comprehend all I wrote. |

Noordeen: Seems like a lot of us don't understand the concept of Islamic fasting. Fasting is from dawn to dusk and not time based. The guy needed to wait till sunset before breaking the fast and in this case of Netherlands, during the game. The fact that the sun sets around 6:30 to 7:00p.m in Nigeria does not mean it does so everywhere else. can you please educate this dude. aribisala0: It is called Ifta you take your own advice use Google.com and check the Iftar times for the Netherlands. You don't need to tell me what it is called, Like i said in my previous post, I am not a muslim, but i know Ramadam fast is not time based.

stagger: Amsterdam is 1 hour behind Nigeria when Daylight Savings Time is on. Therefore, the 24th minute of the match was actually 7.24pm in Amsterdam, close to an hour after official breaking of the fast. He was probably taking some nutrition because there is no way he will eat proper food within 30 minutes of such a competitive match. He probably broke the fast with something a lot lighter like fruits.
People should stop telling cheap lies. Amsterdam is not and can never be 1hr behind Nigeria, It is 1hr ahead. and when he broke his fast it was 9.24pm. |

ladiesreject: Holland is GMT+2, which is 1hour ahead of us. So, fasting ended by 7:45 in Holland and he didn't break his own till after the match? Meaning he played that match without food or water for almost 13hours? He'll faint! Just because some blogger posted something, that doesn't mean we should just believe. He may or may not be correct. Is this the first time we are seeing players drinking water on the pitch? So because it's Ramadan, everything should now center around fasting and breaking fast? Do you even know if the player actually fasted?
It's fair to say that you're an idiot. Sometime a little research will do you some good, and not shamefully displaying your ignorance online. I am not a Muslim but I know they break their fast not based on time but with respect to when the sun sets. With that knowledge, the question you should ask, is when does the sunset in his location? Unless you want also tell me the Earth is flat and everyone sees the sunrise and sunset at the same time. NB: there is something called www.google.com learn how to use it. |

Philfit: Bro I get where you are coming from, But have you thought of it this way, your first year you don’t need to make that 10k, your first year should be used to understand the system see the business opportunities, know the education system, read, get good grades and excel. I’d advise you to look at the bigger picture. Money is good, (we all know that). I would love to make 10k savings in a year too but think about the later. Is it really worth it? The only way you can make this 10k savings is by doing it illegally. I don’t mean crime or robber (which can also be a factor) but you would be doing jobs and hiding them from the authorities because you must exceed that 20hr per week. I know there is 3 months of full day working but that too won’t cut it, you must exceed that 20 hours. Now do you really want to do this when you just enter a foreign land? Jeopardize all your hard work just for chicken change ( no offense). If you focus on things like learning the language, doing internships and creating connections with organizations, graduating with good grades then the sky would just be your starting point. Because after studies and you do what you need to, God willing you would land a good job that pays you over 45k a year maybe 32-35k after tax. With this you can work weekend jobs and probably earn 400-700 a month. The hustle now begins you would cut your cost and limit Spending, reduce eating out and live in a small studio apartment. At least you know you aren’t breaking any law and you would have your peace of mind. Then you can be looking at nothing less that 20k savings from the motivation and hard working spirit Im seeing you have. I called it chicken change because the time and energy you used to achieve that 10k savings is nothing compared to how relaxed you can be with better peace of mind to achieve the later which is 20k savings. Look at the bigger picture bro, don’t let the first priority be money for savings rather work on your self and make sure you would remain there after school. That is when the real hustling begins You might have family members back home Depending on you. But look at it this way, is it better to be giving them Toyota each year and at any chance your right to stay in the country is hanging on a thin line. Or they wait for you, you build yourself and your worth and after two years you become a man a value, you can be giving them Gwagon each year after that and still live a somewhat comfortable life without any harassment. The cars are metaphors oh What elders see when sitting, children can't see even if they climb trees. I hope this wise comment will help straighten out some expectations people are having coming abroad. Greed, as they say, leads to destruction. |

Now, my childhood friend schools in Bavaria which has the toughest educational system in Germany as many people have confirmed. He works Two jobs. One pays 450 euros, another pays 960 euros after tax. He lives in a 250 hostel room. Pays 90 euros insurance, spends 60euros on food as he still has food stuff and goes out once in a while. Can you see that he used just about 450 euro? He still has 960 euros. He goes to school very well sef. Just that he doesn't have babe there and he drinks once in a while. Save that 960 X 12 months? It's over 11k
So whoever is being pessimistic and trying to weigh that basalt guy down, keep your lack of ambition to yourself.
Finally, there's a saying "if people don't laugh or shout at your dreams, they aren't big enough. This example I gave is real life One. He's been in Bavaria for two years now.
Just to add, let's do a calculation for you if you're still in doubt. If you have a 450 euros job. It pays 10 euros per hour. You work 11 hours every Saturday. That's about 450 a month.
If you have another job that pays 12 euros per hour. You work 5 hours a day Monday to Friday that's about 1200 a month. Let's say they take 300 tax. You have 900 a month. If you pay 300 rent. 90 insurance and 60 food. That's 450 a month. Your student card covers your semester transport ticket. The remaining 900 X 12 is 10,800 euros. Let's say you use 800 euros for semester fee every year. You still have 10k euros!
So what are you guys saying? For the fact you haven't done it, doesn't make it impossible. I've seen people do it. Everybody ginger no be the same.

Viele Grüße This your list is based on clothes, which I think is actually not so important depending on which semester you are coming. Clothing: Jeans: it is cheaper in Nigeria. Shirts: if you are into shirts, but as for me I am a t-shirt guy Shoes: for ladies don't come with any high heels, you will end up not wearing it. But something durable with a flat sole. As for thick socks(wollen) and Thermals, you only need them during the winter Months, and you can buy them cheap here. Don't buy the Nigerian sippers ohh, you may end up living in a house with slippery laminate. Normal in-door slippers are also not expensive. You can visit the 1€ shop, same applies to head warmer. FOOD: THIS IS IMPORTANT, unless you are not a food person. You first three months trying to adjust to the kind of food here won't be funny. Basic things like normal Maggi will be a task buying it in the supermarket. Try as much as possible to get enough ingredients for your best food. This will help in time of need when things start getting rough, you can always come home and enjoy a nice meal and feel happy and relaxed. Well if you are not into food then you can ignore this and fly in. Then you start eating bread and potatoes because you want to save cost. |
