Nairaland General › Re: Something Is Generally Wrong With Nigerians!!! by Windflower(f): 4:58pm On Oct 22, 2018 |
Shelumiel: From what I have read , everything being said here dwindles down to poverty. The poverty in Nigeria is something worrisome It's not poverty, I used to think in that direction but it's not. It's called home training. We were all given different home training. I teach in a public school and I see diverse traits in children from different homes. Some would prefer to litter the class when there is a dust bin in front of the class. Some behave like animals. While some are the complete opposite. A boy mistakenly spilled another child's water on the floor. Do you know what he did? He apologized, got mopping stick to clean the floor and replaced the water he spilled. He did all these on his own without anybody reporting him. Now that's a rare gem over there, he is not more than nine years, whereas I know some child in my class would do the opposite of what the boy did. when I traced the boy, it's turns out the boy father is a teacher. I am also a testimony, my parents raised me with nothing and I am still a cool headed person. During my camp days in Nysc a gurl from a rich home would litter the whole room and even pass faeces in the room. It's not about poverty, it's about individual differences and upbringing. |

You're a perfect example of the society that I'm complaining about. [/quote Can't begin to argue with you, I can see you dont want to see reasons |

pocohantas: Don't mind that silly creature. This is a thread on a woman who got burnt and had her child killed by his fellow mad man. Rather than sympathise with her and shut up, he must tell us rape is nothing. I dont even know how they correlate, people go tru situations differently. You can't say rape is nothing, only if he can comprehend the psychological trauma that comes with rape |

Crime › Re: "My Baby Daddy Killed My Daughter & Burnt Me" - South African Lady by Windflower(f): 8:03pm On Aug 10, 2018 |
GraGra247: This is simply what I was trying to demonstrate in another thread that was addressing rape here:
https://www.nairaland.com/4668071/burial-khensani-maseko-south-african#70148722
This woman suffered more than a rape victim but she chose to rise above her misfortune and stay alive.
Yet women suffer rape and decide to take their lives all because the media and the society have made rape to look like the worst thing that can happen to a woman.
We should encourage victims of misfortune to rise above their difficulties and thrive.
I'm sure the very unlearned fellas will still misinterprete my comment again. Have you been raped before? If your answer is NO, then swerve. Do you know the psychological trauma that comes with it and here you are spewing trash. For someone who raped a virgin and he did it raw. The fear she might have contacted STDs, if you know nothing about this then don't comment |

Many strong and powerful crusades and fellowship I have attended with most of my friends dropping like bags of garri during prayers, no matter how I try to free myself, I won't fall. Please is it normal? Been wondering the same thing too o, there was this day I followed a friend to a Catholic church, they were doing adoration. The pastor started speaking in tongues and people were falling, everyone closed their eyes, na so me open my eye dey watch pastor perform miracle. He took notice and laid his eyes on me turned me round for more than ten times,I no gree fall. I just had to pretend , cos I was feeling dizzy from the turning. |

[quote author=Shugavee post=69543650]Issues like this will make me belive that nairaland is filled with broke people... on instagram no one is supporting this shit.. if u do,,, people will insult you... but here, there is a thread supporting why a woman was slapped over her harmless discussion to eat four eggs.. really To me there is no limit to egg eating.. u eat as much as u want as far u can afford it.. sometimes one sometimes 5.....it’s either poverty that’s causing this rubbish or just plain urge to support men [/quot SMH, you don't support the guy slapping her but you support her throwing the eggs away |
Romance › Re: Egg Saga: Why She Really Got Slapped by Windflower(f): 6:56pm On Jul 20, 2018 |
Forzap: forget..that guy too stingy jare, she wants to eat 4 eggs(kini big deal?)not like she is throwing them away and she got pissed because he reduced it who wouldn't?though I don't support wasting the eggs but he pushed her to do that, your gf Tori olorun not some random person ewww
God abeg bless me no let my own be like dis guy wey slap person because of egg, poverty far away from me !! well, I hope you wouldn't call it poverty mentality if your wife/girlfriend destroy your imaginary Bentley because of a misunderstanding. Be it #200 or #200,000 the guy worked for his money, you cant steal #200 for the market and they will let you go Scot free. The guys approach in telling her to reduce the egg might have provoked her but let's call a spade a spade. She shouldn't have thrown the eggs away and the guy shouldn't have slapped her no matter what. |
