Jakes informed worshipers at The Potter'sHouse in Dallas that he had been "bombarded"by various people wanting to know histhoughts on the Supreme Court's ruling lastFriday that state bans on gay marriage are unconstitutional.

"I'm not really as concerned about this as a lot
of people are," said Jakes during service on
Sunday, according to a video excerpt of his
remarks published online. "I'm really not as
concerned about it. I think that we should not
lose our mind about the world being the world
and the Church being the Church. This is not a
news flash. The world is gonna be the world
and the Church is gonna be the Church, and
you have to understand the difference."
The influential megachurch pastor, bestselling
author and film producer went on to explain to
his congregation that the Supreme Court, as a
worldly institution, has one job: to uphold the
rights of all Americans.
"The Supreme Court is there to make a
decision based on constitutional rights and
legalities that fit all Americans. They are not
debating Scripture," he said, which led to
applause from the congregation.
"They are just not debating Scripture," Jakes
repeated. "I guarantee you that they were not
in there looking at Romans 1 and First
Corinthians this and weighing it against the
policies."
"We have bought into all this rhetoric about
America being a Christian nation," Jakes said.
He went on to suggest that indeed America has
a lot of Christians in it, but the country is
governed as a democracy and not by
theocratic principles.
"But what we do need to watch is that our
religious freedom is also respected and
protected so that we don't have to get caught
up in the winds of the world and go the way

to watch that as we grapple with an ever-
changing society, and our society is becoming
more and more pluralistic. "
"There's nothing to say that Christianity will be
the dominant religion in this country. I hope it
will. It's up to us," he added, going on to say
that Christians have "stopped witnessing" and
"stopped winning souls" and continue to
isolate themselves from people who do not
"believe like we believe."
That runs against what Jesus commanded His
followers to do, he insisted, adding, "Jesus
said go into all the world and preach the
Gospel to every living creature."
"So we need to change as a Church too. We
need to start reaching out to all types of
people and preaching to them and ministering
to them and sharing our faith with them. I
don't mean on Sunday morning. I mean in the
mall, I mean in the grocery store, I mean while
you're getting your hair done. It's time for you
to be a real Christian. I mean a real Christian,
and win people to Jesus Christ. And you can
start in your own house," Jakes admonished
his flock and the countless others watching the
service via livestream.
Jakes, 58, rounded up his remarks by informingworshippers that "God is still in control" and giving them a stern warning about God's judgement.
"The Supreme Court makes its decisions based
on the Constitution, debating the
constitutionality of any particular issue. But I must warn you, God does not judge you by the Constitution. He judges you by the Word of God. So while the Supreme Court is looking at the Constitution, you better search the Scriptures …," Jakes said.

This interesting prayer was given in Kansas, USA, at the opening session of their Senate. It seems prayer still upsets some people.

When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities at the legislation, but this is what they heard:

In this case there is a fundamental problem, she must have had so much time to herself while growing maybe due to her parents work or boarding school. So they spent little time with her. If not, a 17 year old in my opinion is still somewhat under the control of her parents....Even though shes not above the canning age, i suggest that the parents (the mother especially) should sit her down, express her dissapointment and dissapproval, advise and counsel her on the possible dangers now that sex is involved, Encourage her to focus on her bright future. Canning may only make things worse in this case.

1. Being too Authoritative: most guys as so authoritative. The moment you accept their proposal, they will begin to act like a God over your life. Some will go as far as sizing your phone, buying you new sim card and forcing you to break the old one and begin using the new one they bought, screaming like a dying goat if they call you by 8pm and the background is noisy. Such attitude pisses girls off and may make her reconsider other toasters proposals.

2. Asking for sex too early: most guys think that because you've accepted their proposal you've automatically become their sex machine. They'll begin touching you everywhere at every chance they get. If you mistakenly visit them in their house, you're on your own. Guys should understand that creating an atmosphere that would make the girl comfortable is the only way to win her heart, not acting like a he goat at every opportunity you get.

3. Initiating sex chat all the time: 99% of guys are guilty of this. You exchange number with them, they add you on BBM or whatsapp, the next thing you'll here is send me a hot pic of yourself, snap your boobs let me see how it looks like, how does your waist look like? what's your best sex position, do you suck dic*k and all that. Haba all girls are not porn stars, and that attitude would just tell the girl that you're only interested in her body.

4. The beggar: Its true that some girls rely on guys for almost every material thing in her life, guys are also guilty of the same. Some guys will beg and beg and beg, no shame, I have a coursemate like that, her guy uses her phone to make calls, comes to her lodge to eat, collects her food stuffs and worse of all is that he isn't even faithful to the girl. Guys like that are worse than mosquitoes and can make any girl feel irritated.

5. Abusiveness: Most guys act as if they're professional boxers, they'll slap, punch, kick, and beat you to a pulp at every slight misunderstanding you have. In fact, if you visit them for a week, you'll look like someone that survived an accident between your okada and a dangote trailer. Guys you people need to stop this attitude. Any guy that lays his hands on a girl regardless of what she did doesn't deserve the love and care of any woman.

6. Unfaithfulness: Men are polygamous in nature, but its so irritating when you introduce you guy to your friends and in less than a week he has slept with all of them. He even goes as far as asking your siblings, cousins and female members of your family out. Its so annoying. You cannot even leave him for 5minutes alone with a female without him misbehaving. Most girls get turned off by this attitude and begin to consider other options.

7. Comparing you to their ex: Believe me no girl loves this. Most guys behave like kids, they compare everything you do with the way their ex used to do it. From your cooking, to your dressing, even the way you talk. Please just allow the girl express herself. Trying to force a girl to become what she's not will get her frustrated and as a result she could begin to look elsewhere.

8. Refusing to get matured: We have many guys in their early, mid and late 30s but their characters are like that of teenagers. You say hello to a friend on the road, problem, if you smile while saying hello, they'll say both of you have something in common if not why did you smile, if you give him a peck, that one is another problem. If they take you out, they'll expect you to remain silent like a monument not reply greetings and talking to anyone till you come back home. One word for you, grow up!
