Hillary Clinton was a prophet, she predicted exactly what Trump would do when he looses an election 4 years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cP0G4vJ5OMw |
ono:Media - No evidence of fraud. Politicians - No evidence of fraud. Legal experts - No evidence of fraud. Election officials - No evidence of fraud. Cybersecurity officials - No evidence of fraud. Dept of Homeland Security - No evidence. Ono and Basilico on Nairaland - The election was a fraud and the truth will come out. |
ono:OK, let me help you with English Comprehension, as you are obviously the one challenged. Joe won - means he accepts the fact that Joe won. Because - means the reason Joe won. The reason Joe won was because the election was rigged. Now, the only way to change the winner of the election is through the courts. The fact as of today is that Joe is president elect. If the matter goes to court and Trump is able to prove that he was the winner instead of Joe, then legally he becomes the president elect. This happens in Nigeria all the time and there had never been confusion as to who is governor or governor elect until the courts give a pronouncement. |
plaetton:Nice talking to you too. Hope you are doing fine. It's not been easy, but as I always say "when the going gets tough, the tough gets going" I do get your points, and we agree on everything here, except one , the most important one. That's what makes the world interesting, different people's with different points of views and experiences. We are all able to learn from each other. Who determines direction ? The head or the tail ?Same dilemma as the chicken and egg question. Just look back history . It has always taken the courage of extraordinary individuals or collection of individuals to stand up, organize a scattered population, establish the standard norms and rules , and then move the society in one direction or another.Agree, but the extraordinary individuals or collection of individuals must have the people behind them. If the people don't support them, they would simply be crushed by the powers that be. The ken Saro-Wiwas and the Gani Fawehinmis would not survive the Nigerian society because they would not have the masses behind them. I do agree that in the present Nigeria society, one has to take a lantern and search from house to house, looking for just a few honest people in all of Nigeria.Agree. But why? Because our Family, cultural, societal and even religious values have broken down. We all know that the human mind is very malleable, and that humans, by nature, are always hungry for someone to mold their minds for them , someone to protect or lead them in one direction or another. The proliferation of churches in every street corner in Nigeria is clear testament to that hunger. It is a very loud cry for leadership, sense of belonging and direction.Still boils down to message people want to hear. Ever wonder why the churches that attracts millions of people are the ones that promote instant wealth, instant miracles, unmerited riches, etc. If a morally lofty pastor start preaching moral loftiness, hardwork, honesty and learning to live a contented life, his church will empty out within a month. There are too many current and past examples to prove that leadership matters. There are extremely very few of such leadership examples in Nigeria. America today is a good example. Not exactly correct. America steals the best in every area of human endeavor from all other nations of the world. Now, can you say that the current American leadership under Donald Trump is reflective of the American society?I think that the Trump phenomenon is a reflection of current feeling of the majority white population, who feels they are losing power and influence to minorities and immigrants. |
omohayek:Shout it out loud. Add to it our greedy, wicked and selfish nature. |
orisa37:False. The military, the Police, the DSS and security Organizations in all the 36 CONSTITUTIONAL STATES do not collect bribes from anyone. It is Nigerians in these organisations that collect bribes to do their constitutional duty. The monies collected as bribes do not reflect in the accounts of these organisations. |
orisa37:It's the unpatriotic military leader that decreed or forced Nigerians to start collecting bribes to perform basic civic and social services, to import and manufacture fake drugs and products that is killing people, to scam other Nigerians of their hard earned money, to defraud your place of employment. |
stonemasonn:How can you have good justice system when judges collect bribes to adjudicate a case and police collect bribes to investigate a case? |
Herkim:We all agree that Nigerian governments (emphasis governments) have their flaws, but no enabling environment the government can provide that Nigerians would not cheat. Let me give you one example. During the Uduaghan administration, he introduced an empowerment scheme whereby he attempted to provide employment for warri youths. The scheme was to provide N500,000 loan to about 1000 youths for fish farming business. He inaugurated a committee of I think 10 members to manage the programme. My cousin was a member of the committee. You know what they did? The committee called their people and distributed the forms to them. They provided fake names, addresses and details. In short they distributed the whole money without 1 fish farm being built. Uduaghan was so frustrated he cancelled the scheme. And someone would blame government for not providing the enabling environment. Most governors have complained that youths are not ready to work and most empowerment schemes they attempt always fails, because the youths just want free money. |
iamDrRhymes:It's amazing Nigerians are refusing to see this fact. We are living in denial. You cannot survive in the Nigerian system if you are not corrupt and ready to cheat the system. I know a very upright police man, and I can tell you he loves the police job. He went for various training abroad that borders on forensic science. He had never received a bribe. When he was posted to a road block at the Lagos airport, he was unable to bring in "his target". He has since been transferred to do admin work at Abuja. Meanwhile officers that meet "targets" are given rapid promotions and given juicy postings. Same for political careers. If you don't show stupendous wealth within a year of getting an elective or political appointment, your family will curse you, you pastor will do deliverance on you and your village will ostracise you. |
plaetton:That's what I have been saying, Nigerians are the government. I think it is misleading to attempt to excuse the government from all the problems facing Nigeria. No one is excusing the government or rather governments. What I am saying is that the problem with government is the same problem with our families, clans, tribes, states, churches, mosques, associations. There is no difference between our churches whereby the leader appropriate all donations for his personal use and government where the head appropriate our common wealth for his personal use. Ordinary rice and noodles that various leaders of the society including traditional rulers were asked to distribute to the public was hoarded and you are blaming government. Government is not manned by spirits or aliens but by Nigerians. Nigerians elected or appointed to the positions of LEADERSHIP.That's what this post is about. It's about the lack of understanding of Nigerians of what leadership and responsibility entails. We cheat in all circumstances, even when we don't need to. I run some businesses and I have lost close to 500,000 this year's alone due to dishonest staff. Ask anyone running a business in Nigeria what his greatest problem is. He will tell you power, government and staff(both in terms of competency and trustworthyness) Therefore, the Nigerian people described in that article are the Nigerian people who have suffered decades and decades of honest, dynamic and dedicated LEADERSHIP DEFICIT.There is a school of thought that believes that a people get the leaders they deserve. Don't you see the correlation between honest, dynamic and dedicated LEADERSHIP DEFICIT and honest, dynamic and dedicated FOLLOWERSHIP DEFICIT? |
9jamustchange:Is that so? You mean it's Ghanians or Malians that control the courts, police, armed forces, etc. Now answer this question, who is government. It's paradoxical to think that government is separate and isolated from the people. |
Bluebyrd:And Trump is wasting his millions of dollars on big law firms like Snell & Wilmer and Porter Wright Morris & Arthur, when he could simply spend thousands of naira hiring Bluebyrd and he would have avoided the over 12 embarrassing court losses. With his mathematical genius, he would have proved to the judges that there is no way Biden can get 270 electoral votes and Trump would have been declared president. What are you waiting for, quickly contact the Trump campaign to offer your services. |
feedthenation:I honestly believe it's Trump and the Republicans that rigged the elections. There is no way Trump can gather 72 million votes, given the general hatred of Trump and his abysmal poll and approval ratings before the elections. In states like Kentucky, the votes for Mitch McConnell was far more than the number of registered Republicans. That has to be looked into. I am certain that in every recount, Biden would gain more votes. |
I got this article on my WhatsApp and decided to share it here. It reinforced my belief that the problem of Nigeria is not necessarily government, political system or finance, it's Nigerians themselves. The average Nigerian is corrupt, embraces and celebrates corruption and looks for loopholes to cheat the system, be it in government officials, workers in private companies or even business men. Until we change and restructure our minds, we will continue to go down the abyss. Read the article and ponder on it. I run a manufacturing business and a trading business. |
shadeyinka:My conscience knows that it is against natural justice to bring an unwanted child into this cruel world. My conscience knows that a woman should not be punished for "sexual immorality" by forcing her to birth a baby she doesn't want, while the man goes scot free commiting the same sexual immorality as he likes. Is a BABY, TODDLER or CHILD a legal person?Yes. A Baby Toddler and child has legal rights. Check the definition of legal person and then show why it is legal to murder a baby, toller or child because they are not yet legal entities. You can murder a baby, toller or child, but you cannot murder an embryo, a Zygote or fetus. You abort the process of birthing the baby. When you abort a process, that means you did not complete or possess the thing. You can't have an app on your phone if your abort it during installation. Abortion Is Not Murder Common sense didn't tell you that a fully formed man/woman becomes so only after puberty. Every other phase of human existence is still in their process of morphosis towards adulthood.Once again we are not discussing about reaching adulthood, we are talking about a woman carrying a pregnancy to term. You want to kill a foetus because it cannot talk, because it doesn't have teeth, because it is still tethered to his mother through the umbilical cord?Yes, the mother does not want to be tethered to the baby. If the baby is capable of surviving on its own or can choose to be tethered to another woman, the mother would gladly let it go. Then, why not kill toddlers for not being able to speak English. Why not kill toddlers because they don't have breasts? Why don't you legally kill children because they are yet to have teeth? You are still just going on senseless emotional rants. What's concerns English, breasts and teeth with abortion? As a side information. A friend came to my office about 3 hours ago, crying that his wife is in critical condition in the hospital. She attempted suicide by drinking sniper two days back because they had been married for over ten years, and had remain childlessness. She always miscarries whenever she became pregnant. And after the last miscarriage last week, she decided to commit suicide. He needed N180,000 for an operation and he had only raised N120,000. I could only raised N28,000 at the instance. What I am trying to tell you that a woman that wants a baby would be ready to sacrifice her life for the baby, but one that does not would do anything to get rid of the baby. It's immoral to force a woman to have a baby she doesn't want. |
Poloyanabo2:You must be smoking hashish instead of igbo. How many wives did Biden marry? How many prostitutes had accused Biden of sleeping with them - raw. How many prostitutes had Biden paid off? Has Biden ever boasted that he "grabs them by the pussy" Which church does Trump attend and who is his pastor? When was the last time Trump attended church service? Has Biden ever defrauded people using fake charity organisation? Everything about evangelical Christians boils down to sex. They are so obsessed with sex that all that matters is to them is LGBT, abortion, fornication, albeit hypocritically. |
tommyakynz0802:And how is that your own problem? You cannot force your own morals on others. It might be immoral for you to drunk kainkain, it might be a religious obligation for me. It might be immoral for you to have same sex relationship, it might not be for me. It's a free world, and trying to restrict other people's freedom has been the cause of most of the world's problems. |
Malawian:Catholics are against child abuse also and not just homosexuals, but that doesn't stop reverend fathers from sexually abusing small boys. |
You talk like a high school student who just leant biology for the first time. shadeyinka:Whos talking about a man/woman. Besides, the definition of a man/woman (which I presume you mean an adult) varies according to time, culture and society. There are still some societies that considers puberty as the age of man/woman There are five stages of development into a man or womanAbsolute gibberish. The subject matter is not man or woman, but a legal person. A foetus becomes a legal person the minute it is capable of independent existence. So you mean that if I mix sperms and eggs in a test tube, they all instantly become men/women? So many men and women were killed to give president Trump the fetal cells used for his treatment? What Crime has the foetus committed?Emotional blackmail again. |
ethicallyright:A million likes for you. I don't see the difference between fundamentalist Christians and Boko Haram or ISIS. Oh there is a main difference, Boko Haram are not hypocrites. Most militant Christians that want to burn down abortion clinics have been involved with abortion one way or the other. Is it not ironic that most of the militant Christians against abortion are men, who just can't accept the idea of women controlling their bodies, deciding on who to sleep with or whether to have your baby. Why should a woman be forced to have your baby if you don't treat her right or offer her and her baby protection, stability and happiness? Do you know what kids that is unwanted and unloved by both parents have to go through? I know many examples of children born by teenage ladies and at the end the children are in limbo because neither parents wants them. The two parents move on and leave the poor child to fend for themselves. Other times, a teenage pregnancy completely destroyed the careers of the ladies and they have to drop out of school or work to raise a baby, while the men responsible are not affected in anyway and move on with their lives. |
shadeyinka:Which rights does a foetus have? Maybe the same rights as the millions if sperms you waste while wanking off. You are just conflating issues to appeal to emotions - emotional blackmail. A foetus is a foetus and not a man or a woman. It becomes a person the moment it leaves the womb of the mother. A 13 year old can never be referred to as a foetus by any logic. |
Morningblues:Femi Fani-Kayode also represents evil in how many way? 1. Fornicating and and commiting adultery with numerous women. 2. Commiting bigamy. Marrying Precious Chukwendu while still being married to Saratu Atta. 3. Commiting domestic violence on his wives 4. Embezzling public funds while in government. 5. Taking cocaine and other drugs. It the height of irony for Femi Fani-Kayode to call some else evil. |
bolaayenimo:You heard only rumours (probably from IPOB) and not facts. Here are facts from wike himself; The governor said in the wake of the Oyigbo crisis, people peddled the rumour that he is chasing Igbos out of Rivers State which is not true because the state has an enduring relationship with the Igbos. All the redded quotes shows wike referring to igbos in third person, ie them, you, they. |
sexylassie2:This is what was written about the author of the article. Jim Hoft is the founder and editor of The Gateway Pundit, one of the top conservative news outlets in America . Jim was awarded the Reed Irvine Accuracy in Media Award in 2013 and is the proud recipient of the Breitbart Award for Excellence in Online Journalism from the Americans for Prosperity Foundation in May 2016.You guys are drunk on far right propaganda |
Bluebyrd:The key phrase here is majority of American people. If a vaccine is available today, it will take at least 6 months before it can be made available for majority of American people. |
SenecaTheYonger:I know Van Jones very well. He is a contributor on CNN. Wow. I got some education watching it and I think that's the playbook Trump is following. First discredit the elections, then litigate everything, refuse to concede. These are the steps already taken. Next would be challenge the elections at the supreme court. If that fails, force or intimidate states from sending delegates to the electoral college, or sending wrong delegates (delegates from the losing party in the states). If everything fails, order militias supporing him to instigate violence and thus to a civil war. Trump is going to try everything to hang unto power. I really doubt he can succeed though. |
SenecaTheYonger:I have never read a more insane crap in my life. Trump can't stay in the Whitehouse beyond January 20th 2021. Trump's tenure will expire exactly 11:59 EST on January 20. It cannot be extended 1 second more. |
pryme:Not only me celebrating, Benjamin Nathenyahu, Justin Trudeau, Boris Johnson, Muhammadu Buhari, Michael Martin, Scott Morrison, Moon Jae-in and so many world leaders are celebrating with us. |
LordReed:God bless you my brother. Wish we nairaland Biden supporters can come together for a drink. We would even invite Trump supporters. Politics should not cause us to hate each other. |
pryme:Has the electoral college voted. Stop whining and wailing and join the celebrations. I have Dom Perignon Rose, Vintage 2002 to celebrate the defeat of Trump. You are invited.
