Election officials - No evidence of fraud.
Cybersecurity officials - No evidence of fraud.

English comprehension is a challenge.

How does "Joe won because the election was rigged. We will win" translates to Trump accepting defeat?
OK, let me help you with English Comprehension, as you are obviously the one challenged.

Joe won - means he accepts the fact that Joe won.
Because - means the reason Joe won.

The reason Joe won was because the election was rigged.

Now, the only way to change the winner of the election is through the courts.
The fact as of today is that Joe is president elect. If the matter goes to court and Trump is able to prove that he was the winner instead of Joe, then legally he becomes the president elect.

This happens in Nigeria all the time and there had never been confusion as to who is governor or governor elect until the courts give a pronouncement.

My old friend,
How have you been ?
It's nice to discuss with you again after a long while.
Nice talking to you too. Hope you are doing fine. It's not been easy, but as I always say "when the going gets tough, the tough gets going"

I do get your points, and we agree on everything here, except one , the most important one.
That's what makes the world interesting, different people's with different points of views and experiences. We are all able to learn from each other.
Who determines direction ? The head or the tail ?
Same dilemma as the chicken and egg question.

Just look back history . It has always taken the courage of extraordinary individuals or collection of individuals to stand up, organize a scattered population, establish the standard norms and rules , and then move the society in one direction or another.
Agree, but the extraordinary individuals or collection of individuals must have the people behind them. If the people don't support them, they would simply be crushed by the powers that be.
The ken Saro-Wiwas and the Gani Fawehinmis would not survive the Nigerian society because they would not have the masses behind them.

I do agree that in the present Nigeria society, one has to take a lantern and search from house to house, looking for just a few honest people in all of Nigeria.
Agree. But why? Because our Family, cultural, societal and even religious values have broken down.

We all know that the human mind is very malleable, and that humans, by nature, are always hungry for someone to mold their minds for them , someone to protect or lead them in one direction or another. The proliferation of churches in every street corner in Nigeria is clear testament to that hunger. It is a very loud cry for leadership, sense of belonging and direction.
Look at the power that pastors , priests and Imams have over their flock.
A morally lofty pastor, priest or Imam will infect his flock with his moral loftiness. And conversely, the greedy and wicked ones will likewise infect their flock with their character deficits .
This is why leadership is a sacred
calling.
Still boils down to message people want to hear. Ever wonder why the churches that attracts millions of people are the ones that promote instant wealth, instant miracles, unmerited riches, etc. If a morally lofty pastor start preaching moral loftiness, hardwork, honesty and learning to live a contented life, his church will empty out within a month.

There are too many current and past examples to prove that leadership matters.
There are extremely very few of such leadership examples in Nigeria.

America today is a good example.
America produces the best in every area of human endeavor.
Not exactly correct. America steals the best in every area of human endeavor from all other nations of the world.

Now, can you say that the current American leadership under Donald Trump is reflective of the American society?
The answer is no.
Donald is an extraordinary leader in the worst possible ways, and look at what America has become in just 4years of his leadership. His incompetent response to the covid19 pandemic that has claimed 230,000 American lives is reflective of HIS OWN deficit of leadership qualities, and does not reflect the general character of the American citizenry.
I think that the Trump phenomenon is a reflection of current feeling of the majority white population, who feels they are losing power and influence to minorities and immigrants.

If it were simply a matter of leadership, Donald Trump would be preparing for his second inauguration right now. The reason why he isn't is because 78 million Americans decided that character and competence outweigh brazen appeals to racism and pandering to religious extremists. What the American example actually illustrates is the importance of good CITIZENSHIP by millions of ordinary people, and this civic-mindedness is precisely what is missing from Nigerian public life at all levels. Nigeria can never enjoy good leadership unless the masses of ordinary Nigerians prioritize that over the usual sectarian, "our turn"/"you chop I chop" rent-seeking mentality.
Shout it out loud.

Add to it our greedy, wicked and selfish nature.

Good and true talk my brother ,

Dishonesty is one of our major problems in this country. We can't trust our selves with money.
Dishonesty leads to corruption of the mind. If you like be collecting 1m per months as salary in Nigeria, dishonest people would never be contended they would still want the business to collapse due to their greed by being smart .

By and large Nigeria govt have their flaws by not providing enabling environment for businesses to be sustainable. Govt needs to look at this area critically in order for us to move forward.

Thank you
We all agree that Nigerian governments (emphasis governments) have their flaws, but no enabling environment the government can provide that Nigerians would not cheat.

Let me give you one example.
During the Uduaghan administration, he introduced an empowerment scheme whereby he attempted to provide employment for warri youths. The scheme was to provide N500,000 loan to about 1000 youths for fish farming business. He inaugurated a committee of I think 10 members to manage the programme. My cousin was a member of the committee. You know what they did? The committee called their people and distributed the forms to them. They provided fake names, addresses and details. In short they distributed the whole money without 1 fish farm being built. Uduaghan was so frustrated he cancelled the scheme. And someone would blame government for not providing the enabling environment. Most governors have complained that youths are not ready to work and most empowerment schemes they attempt always fails, because the youths just want free money.

It's amazing Nigerians are refusing to see this fact. We are living in denial. You cannot survive in the Nigerian system if you are not corrupt and ready to cheat the system. I know a very upright police man, and I can tell you he loves the police job. He went for various training abroad that borders on forensic science. He had never received a bribe. When he was posted to a road block at the Lagos airport, he was unable to bring in "his target". He has since been transferred to do admin work at Abuja. Meanwhile officers that meet "targets" are given rapid promotions and given juicy postings.
Same for political careers. If you don't show stupendous wealth within a year of getting an elective or political appointment, your family will curse you, you pastor will do deliverance on you and your village will ostracise you.

But who is in the government?
Is it not Nigerians.
That's what I have been saying, Nigerians are the government.

I think it is misleading to attempt to excuse the government from all the problems facing Nigeria.
Who make up the government?
No one is excusing the government or rather governments. What I am saying is that the problem with government is the same problem with our families, clans, tribes, states, churches, mosques, associations. There is no difference between our churches whereby the leader appropriate all donations for his personal use and government where the head appropriate our common wealth for his personal use.

Ordinary rice and noodles that various leaders of the society including traditional rulers were asked to distribute to the public was hoarded and you are blaming government. Government is not manned by spirits or aliens but by Nigerians.

Nigerians elected or appointed to the positions of LEADERSHIP.
What is leadership?
Leadership is about being in a position to organize, structure and lead the citizenry.
Without strong, dedicated and honest leadership, then the citizenry are left without a standard value system or direction.
That's what this post is about. It's about the lack of understanding of Nigerians of what leadership and responsibility entails. We cheat in all circumstances, even when we don't need to. I run some businesses and I have lost close to 500,000 this year's alone due to dishonest staff. Ask anyone running a business in Nigeria what his greatest problem is. He will tell you power, government and staff(both in terms of competency and trustworthyness)

Therefore, the Nigerian people described in that article are the Nigerian people who have suffered decades and decades of honest, dynamic and dedicated LEADERSHIP DEFICIT.

LEADERS lead, while the people follow.

So, to be corrected, the DEARTH of honest, dynamic, dedicated and progressive leadership , also known as the GOVERNMENT, is the problem with Nigeria, not the Nigerian people.
There is a school of thought that believes that a people get the leaders they deserve. Don't you see the correlation between honest, dynamic and dedicated LEADERSHIP DEFICIT and honest, dynamic and dedicated FOLLOWERSHIP DEFICIT?

I honestly believe it's Trump and the Republicans that rigged the elections. There is no way Trump can gather 72 million votes, given the general hatred of Trump and his abysmal poll and approval ratings before the elections. In states like Kentucky, the votes for Mitch McConnell was far more than the number of registered Republicans. That has to be looked into.

PoliticsNigerians Are The Problem Of Nigeria And Not The Government by wirinet(op):
I got this article on my WhatsApp and decided to share it here. It reinforced my belief that the problem of Nigeria is not necessarily government, political system or finance, it's Nigerians themselves. The average Nigerian is corrupt, embraces and celebrates corruption and looks for loopholes to cheat the system, be it in government officials, workers in private companies or even business men. Until we change and restructure our minds, we will continue to go down the abyss.

Read the article and ponder on it.
I run a manufacturing business and a trading business.
The biggest challenge in my manufacturing business is not power, or infrastructure, the biggest challenge is getting honest staff. Everyone we hire is appears to be on a mission to steal as much as possible. Inflated invoices, recording less than the actual number of units produced. The worst part of it all is that all the fraud we've uncovered is not done by a single person, it's usually many staff who collude with each other, from production, to sales, to finance, even top management. There was a year I overhauled management 3 times in a year. But I've found a solution sha, I now use Indian management. So competent, so honest and so straightforward. I thought they were expensive at first with all the visa fees, accommodation, house staff, but now that losses due to staff theft have been reduced to a minimum, and efficiency increased, the Indian management has turned out to be cheaper than the previous Nigerian management. Now, all sensitive positions involving money go to Indians. Nigerians are only allowed in non-sensitive positions. I used to criticize companies like Dangote Group that hire so many Indians when there are many unemployed Nigerians, but now, I understand their decision.

My biggest challenge in the trading business is the same, getting honest staff. The form of trading occurs in the open market, and involves staff having access to huge sums of money running into a few millions. I know how much I pay to security companies to provide escorts for the staff, not to prevent robbery, but to ensure that the staff go straight to the bank to deposit the money after the day's sales and not disappear with my money. This money spent on security companies is even enough to be declared as profit. We have to spend on CCTV, biometric scanners and other things that wouldn't not be needed if staff weren't looking for the slightest opportunity to steal.

It got so bad at a point that my main criteria for employing staff was no longer conpaetency but honesty. At least, competency and skills can be learnt, but once you're dishonest, you're dishonest.

We always complain of the economy and how they are no jobs. I know people abroad who would have loved to set up job creating businesses in Nigeria but they can't because they can't get any trustworthy person to run it.

I know people in Nigeria with so much money, they want to start factories and other job-creating businesses but they can't because they are occupied elsewhere and can't get any trustworthy person to run the business. So instead of investing in the real sector and creating jobs, they'll just buy treasury bills, while the thieves are shouting no jobs.

Many big businesses would have been born in Nigeria if we could engage in partnerships, but we cant because you can't trust anyone. This is one advantage the Indians and Lebanese have over us in Nigeria. They can pull resources together and do mega-business, unlike Nigerians that because only one person must do everything since we can't partner, end up with small, tiny businesses.

Start a poultry and they will be stealing your eggs. Some will even go
ahead to be killing the chickens so that they'll be allowed to take them home.

Start an entertainment/viewing/game center and they'll be pocketing
your money. On the days you're around at the business, the money
realized will be x10 of the money realized when you're not around.
Because they're eating your money.

Lease out a vehicle to a driver to use and watch as he'll finish you.

Start a restaurant, the same thing will happen. More than half of the
total food ingredients will end up in their personal kitchens.

Even ordinary provisions shop, they will find a way to steal.

You'll see them with that their evil, wicked saying "na where person dey work, na there e dey chop, na e make dem dey callam workchop/workshop"...... Just imagine, justifying theft at work.

And you'll see these people point their crooked fingers at politicians when they're not any different. I usually say the reason most Nigerians haven't stolen billions of government money, is simply lack of opportunity.

Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria.

Your conscience know the truth which you term as emotional blackmail.
My conscience knows that it is against natural justice to bring an unwanted child into this cruel world.
My conscience knows that a woman should not be punished for "sexual immorality" by forcing her to birth a baby she doesn't want, while the man goes scot free commiting the same sexual immorality as he likes.

Is a BABY, TODDLER or CHILD a legal person?
Yes. A Baby Toddler and child has legal rights.

Check the definition of legal person and then show why it is legal to murder a baby, toller or child because they are not yet legal entities.
You can murder a baby, toller or child, but you cannot murder an embryo, a Zygote or fetus. You abort the process of birthing the baby. When you abort a process, that means you did not complete or possess the thing. You can't have an app on your phone if your abort it during installation.
Abortion Is Not Murder

Even if we granted the most generous possible terms to the anti-abortion camp, even if we pretended the fetus was fully rational and contemplating Shakespeare in the womb, abortion would still not be murder.

There are a great many facts that conservatives feel comfortable ignoring when it comes to the abortion debate. They can pretend fetuses are indistinguishable from babies, despite the fact that medical evidence tells us fetuses cannot live unsupported, even with a respirator before 21 weeks. They can pretend they feel pain, even though scientific consensus tells us that until at least 24 weeks, a fetus cannot feel anything like pain because they do not yet have the brain connections to do so.
https://www.harpersbazaar.com/culture/politics/a19748134/what-is-abortion/
Common sense didn't tell you that a fully formed man/woman becomes so only after puberty. Every other phase of human existence is still in their process of morphosis towards adulthood.
Once again we are not discussing about reaching adulthood, we are talking about a woman carrying a pregnancy to term.

You want to kill a foetus because it cannot talk, because it doesn't have teeth, because it is still tethered to his mother through the umbilical cord?
Yes, the mother does not want to be tethered to the baby. If the baby is capable of surviving on its own or can choose to be tethered to another woman, the mother would gladly let it go.

Then, why not kill toddlers for not being able to speak English. Why not kill toddlers because they don't have breasts? Why don't you legally kill children because they are yet to have teeth?

Don't kill your conscience!
You are still just going on senseless emotional rants. What's concerns English, breasts and teeth with abortion?

As a side information. A friend came to my office about 3 hours ago, crying that his wife is in critical condition in the hospital. She attempted suicide by drinking sniper two days back because they had been married for over ten years, and had remain childlessness. She always miscarries whenever she became pregnant. And after the last miscarriage last week, she decided to commit suicide. He needed N180,000 for an operation and he had only raised N120,000. I could only raised N28,000 at the instance.

What I am trying to tell you that a woman that wants a baby would be ready to sacrifice her life for the baby, but one that does not would do anything to get rid of the baby. It's immoral to force a woman to have a baby she doesn't want.

shadeyinka:
A 13 year old is NOT a man/woman yet: is it?
Whos talking about a man/woman.
Besides, the definition of a man/woman (which I presume you mean an adult) varies according to time, culture and society. There are still some societies that considers puberty as the age of man/woman

There are five stages of development into a man or woman
1. Foetus
2. Baby
3. Toddler
4. Preadolescent
5. Man/Woman
A sperm has 23 chromosomes, it isn't a human being.
An Ovum has 23 chromosomes, it isn't a human being.
But a foetus has 46 chromosomes, has the DNA of his parent just like any adult.
Absolute gibberish. The subject matter is not man or woman, but a legal person. A foetus becomes a legal person the minute it is capable of independent existence.

So you mean that if I mix sperms and eggs in a test tube, they all instantly become men/women? So many men and women were killed to give president Trump the fetal cells used for his treatment?

What Crime has the foetus committed?
Is it because it can't talk, so you marginalise it?
Does a foetus have a heart that pumps blood?
Does a foetus have a nervous system?
What is a foetus crime?
Emotional blackmail again.

Many Nigerian men who complain about Biden have funded the abortion of their girlfriends or one night stand partners who got pregnant.
Legal abortion means that people get to take care of children they are ready for and get rid of those they do not want before they are even born as humans. If the raped girl in Edo made it out alive and she got pregnant for one of the rapists, would you rather she kept the child and be damned by emotions forever while the child's father is not certain but one of three people who gang raped her currently serving life sentences?

Legalizing abortion means protecting the academic career of young female students who were lost in love and risk losing a year at home to nurse babies while the boys who put them in the family way get higher and higher.

Legalizing abortion means that the lives of our females are not ended by quacks who charge expensive rates to help them abort their foetus behind closed doors. We have young girls with blocked fallopian tubes because what could have been a simple process was undertaken by a quack in the dark.

It means that a pregnant woman can walk out of her abusive relationship and end the pain she may carry for 9 months and subsequently forever without being blackmailed for it.

Legalizing abortion makes it clear to the whole world that men only donate their white liquid for fertilization while a woman labours with a protruding stomach for almost 300 days. When a woman can walk into a clinic to buy a card and terminate a pregnancy she is not comfortable with, many men will lose their bargaining and suppression chip.

Serial divorcing of women, overt abuse of members of the press, winning elections on Twitter and uncouth speeches are some of the similarities 45 and FFK share. Any man who has no respect for women would always be against anything that tries to make them free. Even women we are fighting for are too blind to understand.
A million likes for you. I don't see the difference between fundamentalist Christians and Boko Haram or ISIS. Oh there is a main difference, Boko Haram are not hypocrites. Most militant Christians that want to burn down abortion clinics have been involved with abortion one way or the other.
Is it not ironic that most of the militant Christians against abortion are men, who just can't accept the idea of women controlling their bodies, deciding on who to sleep with or whether to have your baby. Why should a woman be forced to have your baby if you don't treat her right or offer her and her baby protection, stability and happiness?

Do you know what kids that is unwanted and unloved by both parents have to go through? I know many examples of children born by teenage ladies and at the end the children are in limbo because neither parents wants them. The two parents move on and leave the poor child to fend for themselves.

Other times, a teenage pregnancy completely destroyed the careers of the ladies and they have to drop out of school or work to raise a baby, while the men responsible are not affected in anyway and move on with their lives.

Which rights does a foetus have? Maybe the same rights as the millions if sperms you waste while wanking off.
You are just conflating issues to appeal to emotions - emotional blackmail. A foetus is a foetus and not a man or a woman. It becomes a person the moment it leaves the womb of the mother. A 13 year old can never be referred to as a foetus by any logic.

As, i woke up this morning, i saw something interesting.

A very popular site for the 2020 elections uncalled the election to 259 for sleepy joe and 214 for president trump.

Today, US attorney-general authorises probe into possible election fraud

The election was never called but the media fabricated that sleepy joe won.

Biden at second debate: "There’s no prospect that there’s going to be a vaccine available for the majority of the American people before the middle of next year."

Sleepy Joe always on the "we can't achieve it" team.
The key phrase here is majority of American people.

If a vaccine is available today, it will take at least 6 months before it can be made available for majority of American people.

You should watch the video, these are things you don't know. Besides, the presenter is a democrat. It's not by gra-gra lol
I know Van Jones very well. He is a contributor on CNN.

Wow. I got some education watching it and I think that's the playbook Trump is following. First discredit the elections, then litigate everything, refuse to concede. These are the steps already taken. Next would be challenge the elections at the supreme court. If that fails, force or intimidate states from sending delegates to the electoral college, or sending wrong delegates (delegates from the losing party in the states).

If everything fails, order militias supporing him to instigate violence and thus to a civil war.

Trump is going to try everything to hang unto power.

I really doubt he can succeed though.

That is not what you should be worried about. This is what you should be worried about.

Much like Jigsaw didn't actually kill his victims, Trump doesn't actually have to step down until he decides to. It has always been an honor based system, so the losing candidate usually concedes willingly. However, it's not a legal requirement to do so. It's going to be interesting to see how this goes but chances are that Trump may end up staying as President for an undetermined amount of time longer than expected.

This is actually scary lol. Never knew how fragile US constitution is
I have never read a more insane crap in my life. Trump can't stay in the Whitehouse beyond January 20th 2021. Trump's tenure will expire exactly 11:59 EST on January 20. It cannot be extended 1 second more.
