damilarea2:The Dragon is powered by nuclear fission. One meal consisting of thorium can breathe fire continuously for 5 years. |
ChristianNorth:So what will you say about my little nephew ( the son of my first cousin), who got the best result in both WAEC and JAMB? - https://www.pulse.ng/communities/student/okorogheye-orisheneye-david-15-yr-old-genius-wants-to-study-medicine-after-seeing/995z7mf.amp ITSEKIRI AMAKA. Maybe we Tsekes too should start beating our chests. |
I thought I was the only one that thought season 8 was an anti climax. I stopped watching after watching episode 4. It was beginning to look like nollywood films, where the ending is horribly rush and becomes detached from the whole story. The part that annoyed me most is in order to justify daenery's change from being a caring and humane queen to a "mad queen" they wrote and shot some senseless scenes to make her appear angry and lose her compassion. The killing of the dragon and the capturing and beheading of her aid by cersi were stupid. Where were they going when the dragon was killed. They were not invading Kingslanding at that time, so why was she flying her two dragons. Also the attack on her ships and the capture of her aid does not fit any purpose. I have not bothered to watch episode 5, from from reviews, I heard the story line is shit also. |
Anduku:Killing an already born child is termed murder and not abortion. A fetus becomes a baby (a legal person) the minute it leaves it's mother's womb and is capable of independent existence. |

Anxiety continues to mount in government circles in Nigeria as a London court sits next next Tuesday in a case that may see Nigeria forfeiting up to $9billion in foreign assets.Reading this article is making really angry. What concerns British courts with a private transaction with the Nigeria government government. If there is a case of dispute or breach of contract should the case not be handled in Nigerian courts. On 16 March 2018, a BVI-based engineering and project management company sought to enforce in the US a USD6.6 billion award it obtained in January 2017 against Nigeria. This is one of the highest arbitral awards known to date. It shows the importance of the Respondent challenging facts, assumptions and calculations provided by the Claimant and of providing alternative evidence to the Tribunal. My understanding from the above is that the Nigerian government reneged on its contractual agreement with a British engineering and project management company, the company took the Nigerian government to court in London and won a $6.6 billion damages and the company then went to the US to try and enforce the judgement? If I am wrong please someone correct me. Now, does the above make sense? The company should have just asked the US to invade Nigeria, so they can have full access to all our resources including oil. So when the US government renege on its international and corporate agreements, who do we apply to to enforce the agreements? That's why it is paining me that we have weakened our military to the point of ridicule by other nations. They cannot try this rubbish with Israel, India or even Pakistan. In January 2010, Process and Development Limited (P&ID or the Claimant) and the Ministry of Petroleum Resources of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (Nigeria or the Respondent) entered into a 20-year Gas Supply and Processing Agreement (GSPA). Under this agreement Nigeria would supply Wet Gas to P&ID, who would process it in a newly-built facility and return it in the form of Lean Gas. P&ID could then sell the by-products of the refinement process (natural gas liquids (NGLs) for their own profit.Nigeria entered into a 20 year Gas Supply and Processing Agreement (GSPA) to supply gas to Process and Development Limited, who would return the gas after processing it in a plant built by them. They would then keep the bye products to sell to recover their investments. Now Nigeria did not supply the gas as agreed, so Process and Development Limited took the Nigerian government to a London court claiming $6 billion, because according to them they had already invested $40 million into the project ( even though they were yet to acquire the land to build the processing plant). And some people are blaming Buhari. It seems some people want this country destroyed because Buhari became President. How can a Nigerian support such blatant act of aggression against his own country. This is a case where all Nigerians irrespective of party, tribe or religion should come together and oppose the insult to our collective sensibilities. Trump cancelled all agreements entered by Obama, including trade agreements, and the sky did not fall. |
Just when you think Reno cannot sink any lower, he dives headlong into the gutter. Why insult a man's family because of politics. What concerns Osinbajo's daughters with the beef he has for their father? Besides, Osinbajo is not the commander in chief of the Nigerian armed forces. |
MetaPhysical:He will be worse than kim Jong Un |
Temple1288:Quit attempting to force people to accept your personal opinion using threats of violence. It's not every biafran or Igbo that feels the obligation to honour those that died during the biafran war of 50 years ago. If it's a yoruba person that said anyone who does not honour June 12 should be stoned to death. It your type that will be shouting calling on UN, US, Hague to come and see"genocide calls against the igbos ". Who will be responsible murder, if one of your illiterate members actually heed the call and stone another Igbo man or woman to death for defying the site at home order? |
godlyguy:Kanu's anger should be turned not against the FG, but against his fellow biafran Governors and legislatives. June 12 did not just happen overnight. The north had been against June 12 for a long time. It was lagos that started honoring June 12 by declaring public holiday right from the start of this democratic dispensation. The other SW states were slow to catch on, but eventually all SW states declared June 12 a public holiday. It was the force of the SW states that made Buhari and the National assembly declare June 12 a public holiday. So if the 3.5million dead biafrans are that important to the igbos, why has no government since 1999 belated may 30th biafra day? Who is stopping igbos from honouring their dead hero's. A compulsory sit at home order is an insult to the hero's you are trying to honour. |
truefact:Who declared June 12 an ofe nsala day? Most people will still go to work, their businesses, markets and recreation spots on June 12. It is only government officials and big corporations that will not go to work. Kanu's decree forbid his biafrans from even going down the street to but coke, not to talk of opening up market for business. |
bettercreature:Why? Whether you agree or not, she is an accomplished igbo amaka. It's not easy being the most successful bloggers in Nigeria. |
BCD2much:Arrested for what? Do you have any evidence she is a member of Boko Haram. She said she is respected by the leadership of Boko Haram because she knew their founder when he was alive and all these boys were small boys to her. If meeting Boko Haram is grounds for arrest, then Obasanjo should have been arrested immediately he met with Boko harams founder's brother in Jos. And who told you the Nigerian army don't know the location of Boko Haram? |
Mosesm:Akeredolu: Nigeria spends N300b on bitumen import yearly - https://www.google.com/amp/s/thenationonlineng.net/akeredolu-nigeria-spends-n300b-bitumen-import-yearly/amp/ If we don't import steel, how do we construct our structures, bridges and road, when only a very minute amount is being produced by Chinese companies? Furthermore we have to import 100% steel, aluminium and copper sheets, as ajaokuta is just a bottomless pit, that shallows billions of dollars periodically. As fela would say "Rice matter, na different matter" the government placed a ban on imported rice, but most of the rice we consume is smuggled through Benin Republic, which still consumes an insane amount of dollars. Where do you want producers of fruit juice to get the concentrates required for production, even when more than 60% of harvested fruits rot before getting from farm to consumers? South Africa of course, with the use of more dollars. And so on, and so on........ |
Karemarealty288:Igbo Amaka ![]() Jokes apart, I respect Igbo women a lot. They are silent achievers, ie Obi ezekwesili, chimamanda Adiche, Okonjo Iweala, Linda Ikeji, Stella Chinyelu Okoli, and lots of other. They are not prone to chest beating, unlike their male counterparts. |
Blue3k:It almost did. Floating your national currency was the main fulcrum the IMF condition of SAP, which IBB tried to implement. It failed woefully. IBB Babangida met the exchange rate at one Naira to a Dollar in 1984, after SAP induced devaluation, he left it at N22 to the dollar. That's a 2100% increase over a period of about 6 year. Was the economy any better off? No, it was far worse. |
jaxxy:These are the painful prices we have to pay to stabilize the economy, while working at reducing our dependence on imported items. The government had attempted floating the naira at the initial stage of the global oil crash of 2015, and the dollar jumped to 500 naira. It cause a lot of panic. |
Blue3k:The value of a floating currency is the equilibrium point between demand and supply. With us importing everything with dollars, there will always be upward pressure on the naira. That means even if dollars sell at N1000, we will have no choice but to buy to import fuel, rice, wines, orange juice (concentrate ), etc. This will cause runaway inflation. |
Blue3k:Float currency ke, when we import over 80% of our consumables, including fuel. That would have disastrous socioeconomic consequences. Before the government can attempt to float the naira, we muse stop the importation of the following items; 1. Fuel - petrol, diesel, kerosene and aviation fuel. 2. Rice 3. Chicken and other poultry products 4. Steel. 5. Bitumen. 6. Fish |
Kophschmerzen:It seems hypocrisy is hardwired into the DNA of conservatives. The same people that are prolife becomes prodeath when it comes to death penalty. The same people that are anti-gay marriage support or condone child marriage. The same people that condemn liquor based on religious grounds are the highest consumers of liquor. Here in Nigeria during the Ramadan fast, most beer parlour is usually empty, but returns to full swing once Ramadan us over, meanwhile alcohol is taboo according to Islam. |
Temple1288:History had shown that criminalising abortion had never stopped abortion anywhere in the world. It will simply go underground. You cannot force a woman to have a baby she does not want, and you cannot stop a woman from having sex with whomever she desires. Anti abortion or prolife was always about men controlling a woman's sexuality. They use mainly the religious and moral arguments (which in any case never applies to the man). In the past they used Female Genital mutilation in an attempt to stop women enjoying sexual pleasure. The US courts declares Female Genital Mutilation as constitutional US is moving backwards’: female genital mutilation ruling a blow to girls at riskBut a court or senate full of men will quickly ban all forms of abortion. Surprisingly, they are getting lots of support from women. Talk about Stockholm syndrome. |
QueenSekxy:Stop playing dumb. Their mothers made a choice to have and keep a baby. The keyword is choice. If she choose not to have a baby, no one else should force her to have one. A baby should not be used as a tool for punishing women for religious or moral sin (as believed by others). You might as well make laws stoning adulterous women to death. |
mysticwarrior:This has been why Britain has survived all invasions. The English channel and the North Sea is a difficult barrier. |
mysticwarrior:Germany took everyone by surprise. Declaration of war does not automatically mean battle. The battles will come later. Britain needed time to prepare, especially after loosing a large chunk of her heavy armory in the attempted defence of France. Hitler offered Britain peace and to allow her keep her colonies if Britain hold back and allow Germany keep already conquered territories, Churchill refused. Now, does that sound like the acts of cowardice? When Britain declared war, what did you expect her to do? Launch an immediate invasion on Berlin? |
RTSC:Foolishness is fighting a war you are not prepared for and cannot win, and then screaming genocide, Hague, UN when the killings start. Calling Britain, that at one time or the other fought wars in over 98% of the world countries coward is the height of ignorance. Which is foolish, a Germany that instigated and lost 2 world wars or a Britain that bid it's time and was in the winning team of the 2 world wars. Same with Japan that attacked a US, they cannot win or a US that bid it's time before being dragged into the war. If it was in ancient times, the carthage treatment would have befell Japan and Germany and it's people wiped off the face of the earth. |
BULLIONVAN4:So what will you say of Rotimi Amaechi? My sister in-laws name is Anuoluwapo, both parents are Igbo and she does not understand a word of Yoruba. She was named after her mother's best friend. She had trouble when seeking admission into NEKEDE, because of her name. There are many Igbos answering Yoruba and even hausa first names. |
BULLIONVAN4:And how does that answer the question or relate to the topic at hand? |
IkpuMmadu:Where did you get the Martins from? All the reports said her full name is Tobechukwu "Tobi" Phillips |
IkpuMmadu:Do you have privileged information that the girls father is an igbo man called Phillips or you are just speculating to fit into your Igbo Amaka narrative? |
senchibi:Fallacy. No evidence of superiority, except maybe with mouth. If you do a population to achievement ratio, you will find out that your tribe is no better than any Nigerian or even African tribe. I would even say that with a population of close to 50 million world wide, I would even say you guys are under achievers. |
NkayStory:Agony that what? An American girl called Tochukwu Phillips scored 6.9/4? I am not understanding o. |
gbosaa:Not just because of someone shouting Igbo Amaka, but because some low esteem igbos without any further information whatsoever is using a totally irrelevant issue to claim igbo supremacy. The girl in question was maybe born to a Nigerian parent ( probably her mother, and hence a foreign family name). She might even not be a Nigerian and the story might just be journalistic rascality. Omarosa Manigault and Yetunde Williams had been assigned Nigerian before. This is a little girl born in the US, given opportunity to excel by Americans. But when it comes to claiming glory, the usual suspects starts to scream igbo Amaka. Let me add, that if Obama's name had any thing chukwu attached, ewoo, we no go hear word again from the Igbo Amakaists. The igbos would have been the most superior race in the history of the universe. But we did not hear kpim from his Luo ethnic tribe in Kenya. |
