atakamus:Very poor and unprofessional intelligence officer. In other climes intelligence officers blend with their surroundings that no other person is aware they are intelligent officers except their superiors and colleagues. Here, the camp commandant already, knew, the soldier that slapped him knew and I am sure he would have boasted to others, especially female corpers. What if the camp commandant or the soldier that slapped him was a security threat? Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen issue is an intelligence failure. DSS and NIA should be able to infiltrate them to pass valuable information on their operations and their sponsors. That's how CIA, FBI, MOSSAD, M16 and KGB works. |
Trippledots:You are right. But adding more panels would not help either. So the only other option is to reduce load. This is why I am a fan of lithium batteries, lead batteries are too cumbersome and inefficient, it's only advantage is its lower cost and relative safety. |
Trippledots:Can you explain why. |
Trippledots:The problem is the run time or storage capacity and not power generated. The system shut down at 4:00 am. His total storage capacity is 4nos 200AH batteries which is a total of about 9600wh mind you the system shuts down at about 80% DOD and there is some energy wastage by the batteries themselves and the inverter. |
gbolah1:Are you guys deaf or blind. The case has already been decided by the courts. It's unconstitutional. |
Xisnin:Curfews are temporary emergency powers during a breakdown of law and order, it doesn't need to be legislated upon. Why are you arguing blindly when the court has already said it is unconstitutional. The best the Lagos state government can do is appeal up to the supreme Court. Meanwhile, there must be a reason Fashola, a SAN decided not to appeal. |
kingzizzy:Either you are so ignorant, or you are too deep inside kanu's azz to use use your brains. Criminal Threats |
Xisnin:Is a law that keeps citizens indoors compulsorily constitutional? Restriction of movement during environmental sanitation ‘unlawful’ – Court |
No further debate is required, the courts had declared the monthly exercise unconstitutional, null and void. No law can override the constitutional rights of free movement and association. It's a barbaric law and a vestige of military rule, where Nigerians were treated like stubborn children. No other country in the world force full grown adults to start sweeping streets and gutters. Environmental laws should be upheld, and the government should hire more sanitary officers and design better waste management plans. |
obi4eze:Where did you see northern extraction in the whole article? This obsession with northerners is very serious, I only thought you guys were only obsessed with Afonja. The British succeeded because of betrayal by our own people because of the love of material things and greed of our own brothers. It was igbo merchants that captured and sold their brothers to middle men, who in turn sold them as slaves to the Europeans. This same story of the of King koko of brass was replicated all over the Niger delta and even southern Nigeria. Our own Nana of koko also fought the British over these same issues, he was defeated because he was betrayed by his brothers and sent on exile to Ghana. Same with Bini Kingdom. Quit blaming all your problems on Northern extraction. Amazing, you even found a way to think this story with Buhari. You need a therapist or a strong pastor. |
OkaNaUbe:No one is trying to paint them black they are black as charcoal. They willfirst use treats of violence on opponents and non supporters, and then when violence happens they would deny culpability and say "we are a very peace organization". A few days to their self declared sit at home, their leader issues death threats to people who fail to comply, then when their followers cause violence, they deny culpability. IPOB has issued death threats to Yorubas, Hausas, promised to bring Buhari's head, threaten security forces and even other igbos, they are quick to scream "we are a peaceful organization ". |
OAUTemitayo:He and Omokri are trying to push the if igbos to anger and violence by stroking pent up emotions. The irony is that if violence starts, all the those stroking the violence are safe, they have foreign citizenship and have stashed monies abroad, it is me and you who have no where else to go, that will suffer the brunt. |
achi4u:And Femi Fani kayode is talking the one he knows. This is an interview by Fani kayode himself, where on a rare occasion he remembers the murder of his father. January 15th 1966: A Night Of Blood And Slaughter, By Femi Fani-kayodeConveniently, he labelled, the murderers "mutineers" instead of ascribing their tribe, but when it came to murders by northern soldiers, he remembers their tribe and not label them "mutineers". |
Femi Fani-Kayode is a very useless man. He said he remembered how igbos were shot by hausa solders in kano as if we was there, but forgot how igbo soldiers brutalised his Father in his presence and took him away to be shot. So his father's murder was sitting insignificant to him, so much so he does not remember. |
The budget for travels of the presidency was even higher in the 2014 budget presented by Okonjo Iweala during the Jonathan presidency; 2014 Budget: Presidency to spend N2.3bn on travels |
MrCuteking:That's standard budgetary figures year in Year out. Jonathan's government budgeted similar amounts for travels. |
Acidosis:In the alternative, no amount of pre marital second can weaken the institution called marriage. What weakens marriages are actions and reactions taken post marriage. There is no statistical prove that pre marital sex leads to divorce in marital life and also or virginity is a recipe for happy married life. One day you will learn to live by the idiom "different strokes for different folks"and there is no one size fits all in any aspect of life. |
The most sexist comment I have ever read. So women are not expected to have any expectations of deriving sexual satisfaction from the husband, but guys are expected to. Guys are just expected to satisfy themselves, whether it takes 30 seconds or 30 minutes and don't care whether the woman is satisfied or not. The Abrahamaic religions is so obsessed with total control of women sexuality and freedom. Marriage is a social evolution within species that bore very few children to ensure the survival and effective raising of offsprings. Children and their mothers are best protected under the institution of marriage. Without marriage men would not feel the need to provide security and protection for their children and their women. Children that have questionable paternity are abandoned by their fathers. Some animals go to the extremes of killing offsprings of spouses not of their own genes. Such animals are now facing extinction. A few birds that bore very small number of children also have the "institution of marriage" to protect their offsprings. A good example is the penguin. |

itchie:After you show us where you got the info that Buhari gave the order for Fulani herdsmen to start killing farmers, since you all put the blame of Fulani herdsmen killing squarely on the feet of Buhari. Not that I am insinuating that Buhari should not be responsible. I am only reacting to your argument that since Trump is not responsible for wrong doings in the white house, how come Buhari is responsible for wrong doings in Aso Rock. |
What of religion? With traditional religion be the official religion instead of Christianity? |
stanech:Comparing apples to oranges. Ken Starr was and independent council, while Robert Mueller was a special (dependent on the DoJ) council. Ken Starr had the powers to indict, Mueller had to submit his report and findings to the DoJ. |
zendi:Because his brief is to determine if Russia interfered with the 2016 US elections and if Trump or his campaigned colluded with the Russians. Any other crime discovered was referred to appropriate authorities. |
TheShopKeeper:Gbam! Muller is saying indirectly, that the job of indicting a sitting president lies with the Congress and not with a special (not independent ) council appointed by the DoJ. He is simply saying congress, the ball is in your court. |
Ykktulip:I honestly feel we have lots of rare earth metals, but the lure of crude has prevented us from looting into any other natural resources. |
Shaprara:I don't know where you get your news from, maybe fox news, but most of it is wrong. First, the nuclear deal was not just between the US and Iran, but between Iran, European allies, US, Russia and China. Only the US unilaterally pulled out. The US is trying to force European countries to pull out, but they have not. Even Britain, US closest European ally did not pull out. The trump administration has been trying to sanction companies doing business with Iran, but European governments have been finding ways to bypass the sanctions. The money that Obama gave back to Iran was not US money, but monies siezed by the US in the aftermath of the 1979 Iranian revolution. The US is fighting it alone in its trade war with China. Have you heard any other US traditional ally imposing tariffs on Chinese goods? Yes, European countries had been complaining to the US of intellectual property theft and understanding ethical trade practices by the Chinese government for decades, but when Trump decided to act he did not consult anyone, he just acted alone. How many wars has the US won alone? Without its traditional allies any foreign war the US embarks on will be too costly and too prolonged. |
Shaprara:How will US cripple china's market in Europe when trump is fighting China alone. Just like the Iranian nuclear deal which Trump arrogantly feels he can fight alone, without traditional allies, it cannot succeed. The trade war would hurt China, but it will hurt the US also. |
naijaseeker:The unique thing with Nigeria is its people. And I believe that the weak point in the evolution of a modern society is its people. We as a people have not evolved beyond the elevation of personal interest and at most clan interest above bigger ideals of national or wider interests. Personally, I do not believe its the system. Yes the system is bad, and I confess very bad, but the nature of human beings is that the best usually come out of very bad situations. If the people are determined, sincere and focused, no system can put them down. There was really no need to mention IPOB. Any sincere person will know that IPOB was never nor is, any real issue to the modern Nigeria with real problems. At the worst, they are demanding for a referendum on continued Igbo inclusion in Nigeria. With the reality of divisions in Nigeria currently, this is a very fair demand. Couple this with the reality that the Nigerian government has failed over and over to truly protect its different ethnic groups from the menace of external Fulanis. That the Fulanis question is a problem with Nigeria is not new, remember a group of middle ranking middle belt soldiers trying to do something about it by planing a coup and attempted to excise Fulani states from Nigeria. The problem I have with IPOB is that their reason for secession is hatred of not just Fulanis, but also of other tribes of which help they would need if they are to succeed. The insults of all other tribes have alienated not just IPOB but even igbos in general, which to me is very sad. Look, they played straight into the hands of the Fulanis they are supposed to be fighting. If you are a bit discerning, you will see that the core igbos are being successfully isolated not just from other southerners but from other igboid tribes. If you look well, you will see that key appointments go to igboid tribes and not core Igbos. These people are being encouraged to deny their Igboness and IPOB and their supporters are not helping matters. The core igbos should court people like Amaechi, Secondus, Wike, Emiefele, etc, but are they? The only way we can get things right is, if we develop a really workable system and this needs a serious restructuring. Many countries designed strategic institutions or checks, however we simply fail to do this. One major problem, the Northern/Fulani elites who has being ruling Nigeria. The North try very hard to sell a line that there is simply the elites and the masses, yet they refuse to demand what everyone in the South is demanding. Restructuring. Without sincere sit down discussion and changes, we will not move anywhere. There are serious issues and if I mention just one, it will be obvious how disunited we are.Apart from the religious and tribal divide, there is a serious class divide in Nigeria. The elites as a class are United in their suppression and oppression of the poor masses. This is visible from the south to the north, from the west to the east. There are very and I say very few voices that speaks for the poor. This is the reason I respect Lamido Sanusi a lot ( who ironically is part of the feudal northern elite). Even though he has his flaws, he seems to be the only one that actually speaks and shoes concerns for the excruciating poverty in the north. You see how the northern elites have gathered to destroy him. I doubt he will survive their onslaught. Others I had admired in the past with similar traits were Tai Solarin, Gani Fawehinmi, Ken Saro wiwa, and a very few others. Finally, the battle to me should be on the political and intellectual plane, and not on the emotional and threats levels. My role model today is Emmanuel Macron, he was dissatisfied with his party, which was the main party, he resigned, formed his own party, sold his ideas and won the elections against well established parties. That's how to sell ideas. |
NaijaFutbol:The keyword is criminal. Not all convictions are criminal, some may be professional misconduct, Bridge of trust, misdemeanour, etc. |
duncun: ![]() Try and make some sense sometimes. Stop behaving like an hypnotised zombie that is programs to repeat a few basic words irrespective of the subject matter. |
I like you submission here. You at least is looking dispassionately at the Nigerian problem and proffering a solution devoid of the usual insults, emotional blackmail and blame game, employed by both sides of the divide. naijaseeker:The Biafran war has ended but it seems the animosity generated as a result has not ended. The igbos seem still hurt at the death of 3 million people and the alleged betrayal by other southern tribes, especially the Yorubas. The Fulanis are also still angry that the igbos killed most of their military and political leaders while sparing their own, in a bid to take control of Nigeria. The other Southern tribes are angry that the Igbos dragged them into a war, that does not concern them. So you see there is anger everywhere. And IPOB is using this anger to rev up the emotion of the frustrated youth. If things get out of control and another war breaks out, the genocide on all sides this time will be unrivalled in the annals of human history. Nigeria is a simple organization, A Britsh till pot operated through the Fulani. How were we rendered so uncoordinated and defenseless. Divide and conquer. As I said earlier, Nigerian experience is not unique. That how Britain ruled it's colonies. Since, the British were not ready to actually set up colonies in Nigeria like they did in Southern Africa. They looked for a more pliant and controllable tribe to use to carry out their objectives, and the Fulani homogeny fit into their needs. The southern tribes were too rebellious and disunited. The US also had similar problems, they avoided the booby traps by jettisoning the British imposed constitution and fashioned their own according to their own terms. |
Ejanla07:Ok, learnt something new. But this is not a common practice among igbos. It also does make Kanu a crown prince as Afaraukwu-Ibeku does not practice hereditary succession. |
