Why not? A simple redenomination would do the trick. Just remove three zeros from the current exchange rate and $1 will instantly equal to about 36kobo. Ghana did it in 2007. |
devindevin2000:Your delusions know no bounds. The miracle is how you are able to afflict other otherwise sensible igbos with your delusions. Judaism permit no such shrines and expressly forbids bowing before any shrine or ancestor. Even Abraham the father of the Jews have no shrine dedicated to him. So you are telling us igbos could read and write Hebrew before the coming of the white man? So what happened, how come there are no books or any other Hebrew inscriptions in igboland. There was not even one copy of the Torah in igbo land. So you are the only people that have the original ten commandments as given by moses in stone tablets? Where is it? |
Some needs to remind kanu that the Jewish God is a very jealous God, he is quick to anger and he punishes instantaneously. He is not forgiving and slow to anger like the Christian saviour, jesus. He should read up on what happened to the israelites when on mount sanai, they bow down before other gods. Kanu went to bowing down before idols to praying at the wailing wall within a couple of years. I just hope yahweh has not struck kanu with madness yet.
|
PrettyCrystal:Is Kanu lying outright or is simply exaggerating. I have never and mean NEVER met an Igbos Jew, and my better half is pure Igbo with large igbo family. I have loads of friends and customers that are igbos, and all of them are Christians. I know there are hundreds of thousands of Igbos on this forum, abeg how many are practicing Jews? Kanu wants to create an independent Jewish state, how? Is he going to forcefully convert the Ijos, the calabaris, the idomas and others he wants to coarce into his Biafran dream. What will happen to the tens of millions of igbo Christians who recognise jesus as their Messiah? I do not think I have heard a more deluded human being. |
Donmedrac:Virtually all Urhobo socio-political groups have dissociated themselves from the biafran project, but some urhobo wannabes are all over social media screaming biafra, yoloba, and other IPOB terms. |
Donmedrac:But Iran hate Israel more. If Israel openly support biafra, Iran will have no choice but to support Nigeria. |
tiredoflife:You are either not urhobo or your mother is urhobo but with igbo father. You can't even spell urhobo correctly. You obviously speak more igbo than urhobo. Urhobos are far closer to Binis, itsekiris and yorubas than igbos. I have never seen an urhobo insulting the Bini or Yorubas tribes, that is the perogative of the igbos. Now how do you intent to create a country that separate the urhobos from their closest relations - the binis and itsekiris and place them with a tribe they virtually have no cultural, linguistic or cultural affinity with? |
delpee:But he has presented a certified true copy of a statement of result issued by his Alma mater, but you guys still insists it is fake. Even if somehow the army finds the original copy and present it to the whole world, you guys will still scream fake. So there is no point trying to prove anything to you guys. The words, Buhari has no certificate has been cemented to your hearts, nothing can remove it. |
Yopcity:How is Nigeria finished by Israel backing kanu. They can only back kanu with arms and money and maybe training. Nigeria who has deeper diplomatic relations and carrot (oil) it can dangle will have far more allies. For example the whole of Africa will support Nigeria. China, India, Britain and Iran will support Nigeria. The same scenerio that played out in the civil war will play out again. |
bot101:You were forced into a union, but you were given the opportunity to opt out of the union before independence, you refused. In fact you were the main proponent of One Nigeria. Once you lost out in the power play, you begin to scream bondage and biafra. In fact Awo insisted on a secession clause in the constitution, you (as represented by Zik) vehemently opposed. You have no right to complain now that things are so bad. As I said push your governors, house members, senators to push for a secession clause in our constitution. The only other option is war. United Nations cannot force a country to do anything, except the UN are prepared to invade a sovereign state. Trump has even shown us that any agreement is just a piece of paper, and a country can pull out of any agreement it (or a new government)no longer believes in. |
mercenary:I am tired of arguing with stark illiterates. A host government can invite any foreign ambassador to ask questions or register a protest. They can even expel the ambassador or any other diplomatic staff. |
bot101:Can you please tell my how and when you nominated Nnamdi Kanu to represent you? How many people nominated him? Was it by election or selection? IPOB is not in any position to ask for anything less a referendum. If the igbo political and traditional leaders want a referendum they should know how to go about it. You guys are adept at comparing egg to eggplant. The EU constitution provides for referendum to leave, the Nigerian constitution just like the US constitution does not. If you want a succession referendum to be included in our constitution, your state and federal law makers have to advocate for it. |
AK481:I do not get myself involved in the Israeli Palestinian conflict. To me people take sides based on religious affiliation; Christians support Israel while Muslims support Palestinians. My only view is that the two deserves to have their own state. Except Israel intend to kill all Palestinians in gaza, West Bank, eastern Jerusalem and all areas occupied by Palestinians, sooner or later Israeli will have to grant Palestine independence. Nigeria blew that up when it voted against Israel.Nigeria will always vote according to its interest. You did not even state the resolution that Nigeria voted against Israel. For Israeli comapnies operating in Nigeria... who looses if they leaves and establish in Ghana? So you think nigeria cannot cope with expelling or nationalizing Israeli companies? Nigeria nationalised British companies and survived, Nigeria is threatening MTN a south African company with heavy fines and they are begging and you feel we cannot do without Israeli companies. |
jumpandpas:Wrong and stupid analogy. The US and it's allies was at war with Al-Quaeda and it's allies. Osama bin Laden was hiding first in Afghanistan, then he crossed over to hide in Pakistan. He was hiding. He did not come out to say "hey, I am in Pakistan, being help by the Pakistani government. The Pakistani claimed they were not aware Osama Bin Laden was in their country. Nigeria is not at war with IPOB, they were only banned from operating in Nigeria. Kanu has a case in the courts and so is a fugitive. It is his sureties that would suffer the consequences of his actions. If Nigeria truly wants Kanu they would have to use diplomatic channels. |
Ray97:I would be shocked if the Israeli government supports and fund a rebel (Nigeria would say a terrorist group) to undermine the security of the country. I honestly don't know what they hope to gain. Israel gains far more from Nigeria than Nigeria gains from Israel. There are numerous Israeli companies doing business in Nigeria and virtually no Nigerian company doing business in Israel. Nigeria has many allies in Africa while Israel virtually has no allies in Africa. Will Israel sponsor military invasion of Nigeria? How exactly can Israel help in the creation of a secessionist state from nigeria? I think the Nigerian government should invite the Israeli ambassador to come and explain why and how they are providing platform for a fugitive in Nigeria to be making treats against the country. |
EternalTruths:Please explain how El-Zakzaky's struggles will favour you? Maybe you are a shiite muslim or maybe El-Zakzaky has employed Kanu and you as his solicitor. |
Nasafina:Your own brain needs to be formated, virus infected. How can warri port, Dasuli and El-Zakzaky be part of a concession for dropping Biafra? I just don't get the connection. |
JasonScoolari:Abeg, watin concern me with radio Biafra? I have no interest whatsoever in their message. I only respond if my homeland, warri is mentioned by any IPOB member or their suppperter. |
EternalTruths:You guys are the most confused human beings on the surface of the earth. You said you are fighting for an independent igbo state and yet you are demanding for things that has nothing to do with igbo causes. Warri people are capable of making their demands known, they do not need igbos or even yorubas to make demands on their behalf. Warri had never been part of Biafra. Dasuki and El-Zakzaky are Fulanis. The hatred for Fulanis is the main reason IPOB wants out of Nigeria, so how come IPOB has now become the main fighter for Fulanis interest? |
JasonScoolari:What's brilliant about demanding opening of Warri port, release of Dasuki and El-Zakzaky? Is Warri part of Biafra? Are Dasuki and El-Zakzaky Biafrans? Why not demand for the release of his fellow IPOB members, who he left behind in prison. Kanu is taking as if the Fulanis are dumb and cannot demand for the release of their own people. |
victorvezx:Not only that, he was hosted by judges of the international criminal court

dVIA:I think the Chinese model is one of the best at producing capable leaders. You start from the bottom and work your way up the party and leadership structure. You need up to 25 years of experience before you can aspire to be the chairman of the communist party and thus the leader of China. Xi Jinping joined the communist party in1974 at the age of 19 and began his political career as a party cadre in rural Hebei at the age of 29. He rose through the ranks of the party and became it's leader in 2012. So it is obvious Xi Jinping would be a very capable leader. A Donald Trump would not be qualified to lead a province in China not to talk of president of China. |
dVIA:I am not talking about what should be, I am talking about what is. All through history, the most successful politicians (I am talking about obtaining and retaining power) had never been intellectuals. From ancient Greece to ancient Rome to even modern US of A. The must successful rulers had been illiterate thugs at worst and just average intellect capacity at best. Einstein was offered president of Israel and he turned it down. Democracy is even worse at throwing up intellectual leaders, as democracy depends on the masses making informed decisions about who to elect to rule them. You have to assume the masses are able to make informed decisions, they can't. The masses make decisions based on emotions and not intellect. Good politicians are able to exploit that. Greece saw this problem of democracy early and so restricted the electorate to the intellectual class. The poor masses were not allowed to vote in Greece version of democracy. |
dVIA:That is the nature of politics. Intellectuals don't make good politicians. Obtaining and retaining power requires a person to be cunning, ruthless, risk taking and understands how to control people. Same thing with being a very successful business person, it goes beyond intellectual capacity. |
dVIA:Buhari is not required to present WAEC certificate to become eligible to run for president. The law says MINIMUM of secondary school certificate or its equivalent. Are you telling us a diploma from US War College is not higher that a WAEC certificate? Unless you are insinuating that the US War College diploma is fake too. Note: I just learnt that I was mistaken and that a presidential candidate is not even required to have a WAEC certificate. Section 131 (d) of the 1999 constitution states that: “A person shall be qualified for election to the office of the president if”, subsection (d); “He or She has been educated up to at least school certificate level or its equivalent”.The key word here is level. This simply means that you simply have to show you have been educated up to school certificate level, not that you passed or even sat for the exams. Maybe that was why senator adeleke was able to run for governor having sat for only one subject in his WAEC exams and failed. |
dVIA:I can swear that Buhari speaks and writes far better English than you. I am not talking about pronounciations and intonations. Buhari does not make grammatical errors. |
You are so ignorant that I feel pity for you. Instead of you to ask and learn from older people, you are making childish ignorant assumptions dVIA:Promotions in the Nigerian military and even civil service as a whole is based on sitting and passing relevant level exams. If you did not attend, for example major level courses and pass the exams, you will not be promoted to a major. Question 2: Attending a college does automatically you have a certificate.Attending and passing the exams in a college automatically qualifies you for a certificate. The only certificate declared by Buhari is that WASC.False! Below are the qualifications or should I say certificates obtained by Buhari; 1. Katsina Provincial Secondary School - 1953 – 1956 2. Nigerian Defence Academy - 1961–1962 3. Cadet Officer Course Aldershot UK - 1963 4. Platoon Commander Course, Military College Kaduna - 1964 5. Army Transport School, Bordan, UK - 1965 6. Defence Service Staff College, Wellington, India - 1973-1974 7. US Army War College - 1979–1980. Now, list your qualifications and let's compare if it matches up to buhari's It is on fact that Buhari was admitted into the Army with a letter from his principal.Buhari was not admitted into the army with only a letter from his principal. That was the general practice then and even into the late 70s. You must get a recommendation letter from your principal attesting to your good behaviour and brilliance before you are admitted into higher institutions while awaiting your results. Maybe you are insinuating that all intakes into the Nigerian military in the 50s and 60s got admitted with only a recommendation letter from their principal, unless of course you are suggesting only Buhari was the only one that got that privilege. |
ochejoseph:Now I believe PDP is IPOB and IPOB is PDP. It was IPOB that employ the stupid strategy of petitioning the UN, the US, the UK, The Hague, Germany, Israel, and many other countries against Buhari, Burutai and other government officials. The question is what can the US do? What does PDP and IPOB want the US government to do? Sanction Nigeria, invade Nigeria? What? Al-asaad is killing hundreds of thousands of his own people, Aung San Suu Kyi is committing open genocide against her own people, Vladimir Putin is assassinating his own people even on foreign soil, Saudi government is suspected of brutally murdering a prominent journalists in Turkey. In all these the US has not done or anything, so I am yet to understand what PDP is asking the US to do. |
obixcel:You no. 2 definition agrees exactly with what I said. Look up the meaning of chauvinism. |
obixcel:I already explained to you what nationalism connotes. Nationalism connotes a false sense of superiority, that is what differentiates it from patriotism. This false sense of superiority often lead to break up of countries (usually through conflicts), lead to discrimination by such nationalist groups and often lead to dictatorship. The confederates claim they were nationalists and we're pursuing a nationalist agenda. Read this link for balanced arguments on nationalism - [https://blog.oup.com/2018/02/nationalism-ideology-war/ |
obixcel:I already explained the correlation between "nationalism" and violence. Nationalism according to the "reformed republican party" under the leadership of Trump, connotes hate for Obama, Clinton, Democratic Party, media, immigrants, Muslims (poor ones), LGBT and others with different opinions, in that order. When you listen to an average election campaign speech by republicans it's words like lock him/her up, stops immigrants from coming and such rhetorics that fires up the crowd. The republicans dont even bother to run on issues anymore. Just anti-Obama, Clinton, and Pelosi advertisements are enough to rally the Base. |
coluka:Nationalism refers to the feeling that your country is superior to all other countries, despite its flaws. Patriotism refers to love and support for your country, wanting to improve its flaws to make it better. Also.. . Patriotism is when love of your own people comes first; nationalism, when hate for people other than your own comes first - Charles de Gaulle |
