The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, was featured yesterday on Israel National TV, where he spoke about his arrest, incarceration and issues with the federal government.

The IPOB leader who was introduced as Nnamdi Kanu of Biafra, was asked how do Biafrans perceive themselves as Jewish people considering their roots.

Nnamdi Kanu replied by saying that Biafrans (Igbos) are about 70 million people scattered all over the world and those that identify themselves with their Jewish heritage are nearly 50 million. 

The IPOB leader said that a significant number of Biafrans practice Judaism in terms of their prayers and in other areas. 

Nnamdi Kanu also said that when Christianity came, the Jewish heritage was suppressed and they were made to feel ashamed of their "roots".

He said luckily, some of the Biafrans maintained the Jewish culture till today as he sited Umuleri village in Anambra state as an example where the Jewish tradition is practised.. 

The IPOB leader also said all Igbos are Jewish but the problem is the influx of Christianity in Nigeria through colonialism which dampened down the Jewish tradition and shifted the focus from the Old testament to the New Testament. He said the Igbos are the Jews of Africa. 

Nnamdi Kanu said that Biafrans want to get back to the way they were before the British came because the way Nigeria was put together is the root cause of the problem. 

He also said that IPOB wants an independent Jewish state of Biafra that would be independent of anything to do with Nigeria. He said they want a Jewish state in order to go back to that way of life to worshipping the one and only true God in a Jewish way. 

The IPOB leader said that Biafrans won't be flocking to Israel if they are emancipated but would return to Biafra land and remain there. 

He also spoke about his arrest and also being locked away for 19 months for demanding for independence.

Is Kanu lying outright or is simply exaggerating. I have never and mean NEVER met an Igbos Jew, and my better half is pure Igbo with large igbo family. I have loads of friends and customers that are igbos, and all of them are Christians.

IPOB is not in any position to ask for anything less a referendum. If the igbo political and traditional leaders want a referendum they should know how to go about it.

If you want a succession referendum to be included in our constitution, your state and federal law makers have to advocate for it.

Wrong and stupid analogy. The US and it's allies was at war with Al-Quaeda and it's allies. Osama bin Laden was hiding first in Afghanistan, then he crossed over to hide in Pakistan. He was hiding. He did not come out to say "hey, I am in Pakistan, being help by the Pakistani government. The Pakistani claimed they were not aware Osama Bin Laden was in their country.

Nigeria is not at war with IPOB, they were only banned from operating in Nigeria. Kanu has a case in the courts and so is a fugitive. It is his sureties that would suffer the consequences of his actions.

If Nigeria truly wants Kanu they would have to use diplomatic channels.

I think the Chinese model is one of the best at producing capable leaders. You start from the bottom and work your way up the party and leadership structure. You need up to 25 years of experience before you can aspire to be the chairman of the communist party and thus the leader of China.
Xi Jinping joined the communist party in1974 at the age of 19 and began his political career as a party cadre in rural Hebei at the age of 29. He rose through the ranks of the party and became it's leader in 2012. So it is obvious Xi Jinping would be a very capable leader.

A Donald Trump would not be qualified to lead a province in China not to talk of president of China.

Buhari can simply write the bodies that issued his certificates, but rather than do that, he hired SANs, to defend him in courts.

Buhari is not required to present WAEC certificate to become eligible to run for president. The law says MINIMUM of secondary school certificate or its equivalent. Are you telling us a diploma from US War College is not higher that a WAEC certificate? Unless you are insinuating that the US War College diploma is fake too.

I just learnt that I was mistaken and that a presidential candidate is not even required to have a WAEC certificate.

Section 131 (d) of the 1999 constitution states that:

“A person shall be qualified for election to the office of the president if”, subsection (d); “He or She has been educated up to at least school certificate level or its equivalent”.

The key word here is level. This simply means that you simply have to show you have been educated up to school certificate level, not that you passed or even sat for the exams. Maybe that was why senator adeleke was able to run for governor having sat for only one subject in his WAEC exams and failed.

Promotions in Nigeria are not based on competence but on where one comes from.

Promotions in the Nigerian military and even civil service as a whole is based on sitting and passing relevant level exams. If you did not attend, for example major level courses and pass the exams, you will not be promoted to a major.

Question 2: Attending a college does automatically you have a certificate.

Attending and passing the exams in a college automatically qualifies you for a certificate.

Buhari was not admitted into the army with only a letter from his principal. That was the general practice then and even into the late 70s. You must get a recommendation letter from your principal attesting to your good behaviour and brilliance before you are admitted into higher institutions while awaiting your results.
Maybe you are insinuating that all intakes into the Nigerian military in the 50s and 60s got admitted with only a recommendation letter from their principal, unless of course you are suggesting only Buhari was the only one that got that privilege.

According to him, “the quest was to simply get the international community to exert pressure on the APC-led federal government of President Buhari and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to conduct free, fair and credible elections in 2019 and to respect the rule-of-law.”

The PDP national youth leader reiterated the position of the party and that of it’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar “to run issue-based campaign and to uplift the situation of Nigerians if elected into power in 2019.”

The statement also said that, “the PDP national youth leader is billed to meet with key members of the international community including the UN, EU, Commonwealth of nations, AU, France and others in his quest to alert the world and world leaders of the ploy by APC to use State powers to oppress the opposition further as the general elections approach.”

I already explained to you what nationalism connotes. Nationalism connotes a false sense of superiority, that is what differentiates it from patriotism. This false sense of superiority often lead to break up of countries (usually through conflicts), lead to discrimination by such nationalist groups and often lead to dictatorship.

I already explained the correlation between "nationalism" and violence. Nationalism according to the "reformed republican party" under the leadership of Trump, connotes hate for Obama, Clinton, Democratic Party, media, immigrants, Muslims (poor ones), LGBT and others with different opinions, in that order.
