This is the problem I have with Okonjo Iweala's story; how did "Mr Peter Obi wanted savings" become "Amaechi, Fashola, Oshiomole, Akpabio Frowned" when all the other governors at that time did not support savings.

I have not seen Yorubas or any other tribe advocating for a violent separation. Even the igbos in general are are not advocating for a violent separation, it is only Kanu led IPOB that is using threats, insults, hatred and treats of violence as a means of achieving separation.

Nigeria fought to bring back a renegade region. Countries don't split by someone just forcefully taking control of a section of the country. If catalonia or any other seperatist group unilaterally declares independent, they will be dealt with by the home country.

If Nigeria splits today, the assets of Ndigbo in the south-west cannot be seized, as the whole world is aware of the circumstances that led to Ndigbo being forced back into Nigeria, and how just one city was -by default- made the economic and investment capital for the entire country!

Put it this way, You have a family and therefore you prioritise their interest above others, not because you hate other families but because you place more value on your Own family, that's the concept. This is a temporary fix. What happened if Atiku/Obi loses the 2019 presidential elections? The shouts of Biafra of death will get louder, and maybe more violent.

The igbo political elites are not handling the IPOB phenomena sensibly. They are sending confusing signals to other Nigerians and the general igbo masses, so other Nigerians don't trust them in the political space. All south south igbo governors and political leaders have come out to condemn IPOBs agenda and modus of operation, including some prominent traditional rulers, but core Igbo ones have not.

Kanu simply have to wait until after the elections, all the people that left him will come back. He can then up the hate rhetorics.

It is surprising that well informed and educated igbos are not aware of the huge damage IPOB and their insults of other tribes, especially to the Hausa/Fulanis and Yoruba, has done to their long time political interests in Nigeria. The igbo political elites are not just doing enough to counter IPOB's strategy of antagonising other tribes as a means of achieving Biafra. Atiku would have done better by choosing a vice presidential candidate from the south south (even if from South South igbos), but to choose from core IPOB igbo is a huge political gamble.

You cannot find achived tapes or footage of June 12 1993 elections in any public institutions in Nigeria. If you need footages from June 12 elections, you will have to ask the BBC. Same thing with nigeria's independence celebrations.

If Trump has said that babies of illegal immigrants born in the US and taken out of US (out of US jurisdiction ) would not be entitled to US citizenship automatically, I might understand, but to say a baby born by illegal immigrants that lived and grew up in the US is not entitled to citizenship is absurd according to US constitution.
