Of what use is human right organizations condemning criminals? Genuine human rights organizations are not political parties that need to be campaigning for support, they carry out work according to their mandate. Human rights organizations do not even take sides in a conflict. If one of the murderers of the service men has his rights abused, they would fight for them. The local government chairmen are helpless, their funding is controlled by the governor, while the judiciary is also in the apron strings of the governor, so going to court is a waste of time. I laught in crayfish language when you make it seem like a governor is powerless against a president in Nigeria. How many Givernors did OBJ fight, how many did he defeat? OBJ was only able ti defeat Alams and maybe Fayose, all others including Dariye, Daniels, kalu, he could not defeat. Even kalu left the party, created his own party and imposed his candidate whose was in prison at the time of the elections, defeating the mighty PDP in the state.

Let me state categorically that GEJ cannot win tge battle against Amechi. Amechi does not have much to lose as he cannot seek reelection, it is GEJ that has all to lose as he is desperate to come back, so the war is what is termed an asymmetric war. All amechi has to do is to absorb the attacks and let his term run out. Only the State assembly has the power to remove amechi and with 27 members on his side, it would be impossible to impeach him.

The Greatest mistake GEJ is doing is fighting his opposition when he is yet to consolidate power. Even General Obasanjo was very genle in his first term doing mumu for everybody, including Atiku, Danjuma, IBB, etc. Imagine OBJ fighting Atiku in his first term, he would have been history by 2003. But he consolidated power in tge first term only to unleash it in the second term.

What GEJ is doing is turning Amechi into the rallying point for the opposition - both within and without PDP. It is the high of stupidity to go after your enemies just 2 years into your tenor, even IBB and Abacha did not try it.

If the clueless GEJ adviser's wants to earn their huge pay, they should advise him to make up to Amechi and other people like OBJ or kiss 2015 Goodbye.

Capital punishment for corruption and political thieves would be too extreme, in Nigeria we tend to blame corruption for everything and i think that must stop, take for instance the reccent report in one of the Nigerian dailies, two muslims from kwarra state were caught spying for Iran, they were gathering information for Iran about Isreali embassy in Nigeria. Are political thieves responsible for that? NO, what about all these reports we hear these days about Men molesting women and girls, for instance the case of those boys at Abia state Uni, remember that video? We need to take a very hards stand on some crimes to serve as a deterrent to others.

Corruption is the father of all crimes, because it bleeds the society slowly and eventually kills the society. That is why societies that takes a stong stance against corruption last way longer than a society than condones it. Most other problems like violent crimes, social unrest, injustice, oppression, etc stems from the disfunctional and chaotic situation caused by corruption. You see the Bible spent a large part of the old testament discouraging and fighting corruption in all its ramifications - sometimes exessively, and it was able to help the jews stabilize their societies. The new testament condones corruption to some extent.

The examples you gave are too infinitesimal and inconsequential to affect the society the way corruptions does. Spying by unpatriotic individuals has been common through out history and even at that it was not condoned as anyone caught is often put to death. That is the mystery i am trying to solve. How were the thieves able to gain access to my account within hours of loosing my ATM card? can hackers offfer an explanation? is there a software or card reader that can easily reveal details on a stolen credit or debit card?

Nigerian police prefer soft targets that can fetch easy cash than difficult cases without prospect of making money. If in a partucular scene, you have area boys robbing and harassing people, you have an accident victim lying on the road or you have an Okada packed on the side of the road, the police will ignore the other scenes and pounch on the okada jack Bauerstyle. A team of over 10 policemen would jump down from their moving car, cock their gun and surround the okada ti prevent the possibility of the okada from escaping. they would then carry the okada to their station for further negotiations.

Our police would prefer to expend energy arresting a mobile phone thief than arresting and investigating a Farouk Lawan.

why does he need ti be in ten different countries within a space of seven days? is he the one pastoring churches in those countries. can he be present in all branches of the church in all countries. No body knows my card pin. The card must have dropped at Obalende and the finder must have been able to access info on the card within 1hour. If it was not an inside job' it has a lot of implication for ATM card holders. It mean anybody who gets hold of your card can clear the account without you exposing your pin. A houseboy or driver can steal his oga's card and work with others to steal money from the account before the owner even realize the card is missing.

My branch insists it is someone that is close to me and knows my pin that stole the money. They are so non chalant about it that they are not even willing to investigate. They said I should go to the branches the cash was withdrawn to request for photos of the person that used the ATM to withdraw my money.

Don't we the customers have any form of protection against illegal withdrawals from our accounts by ATM cards? No insurance whatsover. I know card holders are protected abroad.

I lost my first bank ATM yesterday. I withdrew some amount at Alaba around 11 Am in the morning through eko bank's ATM. I then took a bus to mile 2 and then to obalende before taking BRT home to Ikrorodu. Just before I got home around 5 pm' I noticed a hole in my breast pocket and my first bank ATM must have dropped through it. I was not very worried, because I felt any body that found my ATM would not be able to access my account easily because the person will not know my PIN. But I was dead wrong, on getting to my branch this morning to report the loss, I was told that my account had been cleared out between yesterday evening and this morning' with the lat withdrawal being made at 7 Am this morning. I was shocked' because I had always felt that ATM pins has a certain level of security. The customer service officer said that there is nothing that they can do, that my N135,000 is gone

On further enquries, I learn the first 4 withdrawals were made from first bank's branch at federal secretariat ikoyi and the other withdrawals were made at first bank's branch at ebute meta this morning. So I want to know how the thieves were able to gain access to my PIN and what I can do to get my money back.

I can only paint scenerios in this case. The first is that the thieves peeped at my PIN while withdrawing at alaba, then followed me from alaba to obalende and then somehow cut my breast pocket to obtain my ATM and then went on to make withdrawals. I doubt this because in many instances' I was the only person that boarded the bus from bus stops. When going from costain to race course, I was the only person in the bus stop.

The second plausible explanation is that the ATM dropped at Obalende and somebody picked it up and took it to an insider in first bank who was able to obtain the PIN internally. This might account for the fact that all withdrawals were from first bank's ATM.

Another plausible explanation is that Nigeria's ATM are highly insecure and so there are cheap card readers that can easily read PINs from stolen cards. So loosing your card is as good as loosing your money.


Please I need explanation and advice from expert bankers.

Yes o, Elena, please tell me what is happening to my tablets that was supposed to have been in nigeria last tuesday. up till now no news on when i will get my products. Ifeanyi behaves like he is doing us a favour, when i call him he just says he will call when he gets the products, and not told how long that will be.

We needs to know when we are expected to receive our goods. Even Chinapost gives tracking number so we can have an idea of when we will receive our products.
