And APGA can kiss ma black a$$. These people make me sick but no be their fault. They are the only ones always claiming other people's territory as "no man's land", e.g Abuja, Lagos. It's the same mindset that generated the "abandoned property" controversy in Port Harcourt after the civil war.

Be fooling yourself there. Rochas has Saturday's election in the bag. And you can take that to the bank. The others contestants are just pretenders.

The MPAMA (Rochas) think that the gambari and Ndi Ofe will support his future presidential ambition.
And what is wrong with GMB supporting his ambition? ? Some of you need to take a cue from Rochas. He is a bridge-builder who has the requisite qualities to be President of this country one day.

PoliticsPDP In Dilemma Over Jonathan’s Abandoned Campaign Materials - Vanguard by WisdomFlakes(op): 11:06am On Apr 08, 2015
Abuja—Tongues are now wagging within the Campaign Organisation of President Goodluck Jonathan over what to do with the expensive campaign materials produced but not used for the President’s campaign after all.
Posters21Finding by Vanguard showed that the materials, which consist of bill boards, fez caps, specially branded T-shirts, giant posters of the president and his vice, Sambo, and highly priced mementos, have been dumped at the Presidential Campaign Office, otherwise known as Legacy House in Maitama, Abuja.

The undistributed campaign stuffs are being dumped in two large stores at the Legacy House and the party is now considering what to do with them given that the presidential election has since been won and lost.

The materials are said to have been produced and delivered by the contractors engaged by the Jonathan’s Presidential Campaign Organisation just before the March 28 presidential election and could not be dispatched to benefiting states before the close of campaigns.

Vanguard learnt that some top officials in the campaign team deliberately sabotaged the distribution of the materials till the close of campaigns, alleging that the contracts were ‘shared’ to cronies of top party leaders, who in turn subcontracted them to their cronies.

Those who lost out in the contracts are reported to have drawn attention to the supplies, which now occupy available space in the compound and raising eyebrow as to what might have caused the non-distribution to states.

But the Director of Finance of the Presidential Campaign Organisation, Senator Esther Nenadi Usman, said that unused campaign publicity materials were reserved for the President’s Grand Rally in Abuja, which was later cancelled.

According to the former Finance Minister, the contractors produced and delivered the materials on time and there was no effort whatsoever to sabotage the distribution to states.

Usman, who also denied having a hand in the production of the campaign materials, said that there was no foul play in the exercise.
It will be recalled that the Legacy House, which was a beehive of activities just before the Presidential elections last week, has since been deserted by PDP faithful, who now mourn their status as members of the opposition party in Nigeria with the defeat of Jonathan by Buhari.
As at the time Vanguard visited the place yesterday, only a handful of security men was seen discussing their fate in hush tones.

I won't doubt this assertion. It is like a way of paying back pdp governors and party stalwarts that betrayed him . It is worthy to note that gej could have won the election easily if pdp strong party members had done their job right. But since they abandoned him ,he too has abandoned them now .
I agree. I don't think he's currently too happy with some of his party's influential men, especially the governors. I believe to an extent he was sabotaged. His current relative silence is not golden at all.

True Lagosians who have her interest at heart clearly understand what is happening. PDP is desperately trying to make Lagos its consolation prize after losing the presidency. But it's all a pipe-dream coz there is no room for them. Lagos rejects opposition politics forthwith! Jimi should stop kidding himself.

Look, whatever it is,my advise to the Ambode campaign team is to go do person to person, house to house, neighbour to neighbour campaign, this has done much more damage than what condemnation of the oba cn resolve.

Ambode to me is a better candidtate and its best the apc wins lagos to atleast reap all their investment in the opposition over the years, but as things are,he would sure lose if something more pragmatic isn't done..

Thing is plenty indigenes and non idigenes who are not igbo do not plan to vote,so imagine a case where igbos in their large numbers turn out to vote against him.hmm
Calm down bro. The igbos can't, and I repeat, can't determine the outcome of this election. They couldn't achieve that for GEJ Whom they love as one of there's. They were going to vote for Jimi regardless and made no secret of it even before this Akiolu controversy. With or without them Lagos will remain APC. No more opposition for Lagos.

At worst, many Lagos-based eligible igbo voters won't vote for Ambo as a fallout of Akiolu's gaffe, but ultimately that won't stop his victory coz Lagosians want to be a part of the mainstream, enough of that opposition politics.

Yes Ambode condemned it but you should know how humans reason. Humans, especially Nigerians are very emotional and flimsy things like this actually dictate the way we reason and live our lives. Our priorities are based on very silly things such as a statement from this man who isnt even an APC person. Sometimes I wonder, what if the Oba actually wants Jimi to win and has just used reverse psychology to deceive people into voting for Jimi?... It takes only a smart person to know that the careless statement of the Oba shouldn't sway his votes, but we are talking of Nigerians here. undecided
You are so naive. It's like you actually believe that people's votes would count in this election. Didn't you see what happened on March 28 in the North , Ss and SE? The massive rigging that took place all over, including Lagos. Long story short, this coming election will be no different. Ambode will be rigged in if need be. So funk people's emotions.

PoliticsRe: A Plea For Peace Between The Igbo & Yoruba by WisdomFlakes: 9:29am On Apr 07, 2015
EUROBOMBER:
The recent happenings in Lagos have created so much tension between the Igbo and the Yoruba. There is so much bitterness and hate talk flying around and this will not do us any good.

When you try to break a wall using a sledge hammer, you need to apply several blows before it gives in. You might need to apply a 100 blows but one thing to note is that it is not the 100th blow that breaks the wall, it is a combination of effects from the very first blow. This brings me to the recent statement credited to the Oba of Lagos to the Igbos. I condemn the statement and I believe every right-thinking person should do the same in the interest of peace and civility. What I want to tell my Igbo people is that the Oba's outburst is not just as a result of the forth-coming gubernatorial election in Lagos but a combination of factors. I hear some of our people calling Lagos a no-man's-land and this is just too bad; this is the height of arrogance and disrespect. How can we move into a Yoruba land, enjoying God's blessings and prosperity only to turn round and tell the people that their land belongs to nobody, that we feed them, and that they cannot survive without us and all the other rubbish and provocative stuff??

Clearly the Oba has been harbouring this anger as a result of the arrogance and provocation of our Igbo people and just could not contain it this time and lashed out.

My Igbo brothers, can we sit down and ask ourselves why we have been so aggressive towards the Yorubas? What have they done wrong to us to deserve this provocation and arrogance? The Yorubas are a very peaceful people and we turn round to call them cowards and all sorts of names. What do we want the Yorubas to do to prove to us that they are not cowards, rise up and go on a killing spree? These Yorubas even returned all our properties to us after the civil war something even our close neighbours in the SS didn’t do!

What does it take to respect your host and do as they wish my people for Christ’s sake? We are prosperous in Yoruba land and are enjoying the land and have no problem with the people, all they are for is for us to know our limits and give them their respect is this too much to ask from us? Let me ask my people one honest question, why are we not shouting that Kano is a no-man’s landhuh The Yorubas have been very nice and taking all these insults from us and we turn around to point our fingers in their noses and call them cowards! Jesus! We claim to be Christians and worship God, is it not written in the bible that blessed are the peace makes for they shall be called the children of God?

My Igbo people please see a sample of what is making the Yorubas very angry with us:

1. I WILL ELEVATE EZE NDIGBO TO THE STATUS OF OBA OF LAGOS - JIMI AGBAJE.

2. IGBO WILL DETERMINE WHO RULES LAGOS- IFEANYI UBAH

3. LAGOS IS NO MAN'S LAND.- IFEANYI UBAH DURING TAN CAMPAIGN.

4. IGBO DEVELOPED AND CONTROL LAGOS- JIMI AGBAJE DURING GEJ CAMPAIGN IN AKWA IBOM

5. WE MUST PRODUCE THE NEXT DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF LAGOS- EZE NDIGBO

MY QUESTIONS TO IGBOS,

1. CAN OBI OF ONITHSA ACCEPT ALL THE ABOVE MENTIONED?

2. CAN EMIR OF KANO ACCEPT ....?

3. DO YOU HAVE ANY SINGLE TRIBE IN YOUR CABINET IN THE EAST?

4. CAN ANY TRIBE CLAIM ONITHSA OR ABA TO BE NO MAN,S LAND?

5. CAN OBI OF ONITHSA ACCEPT THE ELEVATION OF SARKIN HAUSA IN ONITHSA TO OBI STATUS?

I want to use this medium to appeal to well-meaning Yorubas to forgive the childishness and foolishness of our people. Please drop any plans of violence being planned against our people and all other diplomatic ways of punishing our people in your land including Lagos.

We recognise that LAGOS IS A YORUBA LAND and will respect that. Please I appeal for calm and understanding. I am inviting some Yorubas I respect on this forum to help reach out to your people to be calm, I have personally decided to start a campaign to reorientate our people as God helps me in my own way to change the way we think.

Even God told Moses that if he could find just 10 righteous people he will not destroy Sodom & Gomorrah. Igbos like me are far more than 10 in Lagos and other areas of SW. Please do not bring out the beast in you and and please allow better judgement prevail over emotions.
