This Biafra madness is fuelled by urchins who are poorly educated and have nothing to show for their hussle, how will such a person care about what he stands to lose? he that is down fears no fall, the picture is clearer now.

Who will lose at the end, Igbo cos they re scattered all over the country. It will be a thing of joy if Lagos is now a man land cos u cannot claim ur biafra and at the same time want Lagos. It sweet me die to see this revolution from Igbo. But anything out of 5 south east state will be a total war which may wipe them out of existence. Nigeria is waiting anxiously. PoliticsRe: We Are No More Going To Pay Minimum Wage - Governors!! by wiseoneking: 9:12pm On Nov 19, 2015
citizenisb:
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/11/we-can-no-longer-pay-n18000-minimum-wage-govs-cry-out/

ABUJA – Thirty-six States Governors have said that they can no longer pay the N18,000 minimum wage to workers owing to the poor state of the economy.

Rising from a crucial meeting on that ended at the early hours of Thursday at the Old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja under the umbrella of Nigerian Governors Forum, NGF, the governors said that the dwindling prices of oil had drastically affected their States’ income.

Specifically, they said that the burden of the wage was lighter when oil sold at $126 as against the current $41 per barrel.

They therefore sought to have audience with President Muhammadu Buhari on the economy, resolving that the only way out of the quagmire was to diversify the economy to agriculture and mining.

Reading the communique issued at the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Forum and governor of Zamfara state, Abdulaziz Yari hinted that the Forum also backed the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) over the N2.1trillion sanction on MTN.

According to him, the governors agreed that the fine must be paid in full.

He said that they received briefing from the Acting Executive Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NCC, Professor Umar Dambata who explained the matter to them.

He said: “We resolved that we must look at ways to enhance revenue generation and at the same time look at ways to cut our overhead costs more especially the political office holders’ salaries and other overhead expenses.

“The situation is no longer the same when we were asked to pay N18,000 minimum wage, when oil price was $126 (per barrel) and continued paying N18,000 minimum wage when the oil is $41 and the source of government expenditure is from oil, and we have not seen prospects in the oil industry in the near future
.

“We will diversify our economy in the area of agriculture and mining. But at the same time, we should understand our situation where some of us (states) today are taking N100million take home (monthly allocation) and then have salaries in particular of over N2billion to pay.

“We therefore agreed here to take this suggestion to NEC in our meeting tomorrow (Thursday) so that we can be able to find ways to tackle this problem.
oil price started droping around may 2014 but NOI was able to handle it then. When she spoke of soveing wealth fund, the governors then attacked her esp oshiomhole and amechi. Until dec, the price of oil was stil 40+-$50+ yet this was going fine. What went wrong apc. Allways wailing. Ngozi would have handle this better. Upon all the propoganda of secretly returned billions of stolen funds and other recovered, they are still wailing. Increase the workers salary biko.

Good development. This is the more reason why I asked my south-south people to forget this very bitter politics they are now copying from the Igbos. GEJ, our son lost an election for sure. But that does not stop the rest of us from moving on or joining the party in power to move our various states and region forward. Politics in Nigeria is give and take. U can't take when u have not given anything just d way the Igbos are doing in this current dispensation. Supporting the Igbos politically or otherwise will ruin our political future in Nigeria. Let's continue to build bridge across board for a better Nigeria. If we take a close look at today's Nigeria, the south-south region is far more considered to be politically relevant than the south east because of their one sided politics filled with hate, bitterness for other Nigerians. If I may ask, how can a people that behaves and act this way be trusted. With power? Today the Igbos are shouting Biafra Biafra. Protesting on our soil, disturbing business activities in many south-south states making it look as if our zone is not safe for willing investors. Instead of taking such protest to Lagos and Abuja where their Nnamdi kanu was arrested and taken to Abuja. Instead they protesting in port Harcourt, Bayelsa, Delta, Akwa Ibom etc. This was exactly the same they did during the civil war. B4 Nigerian troops got to our areas, the Biafrans troops were already on ground killing, raping, burning houses and committing all manners of crime with d hope they will win the war to take over our region.

The SS got their strongest support majorly from SE and at thesame time, it was opposed by other zones in the country. You can never be a SS man and still believe in nigeria. Moreover, the SS you are talking about today is made up diverse ethnic groups with the IGBOS AND IJAWS the majority. Lol. There are few ethnic groups that are not sure of where they belong: benin and other smaller ethnics, itshekiri, isoko, urhobo etc will decide where they will be.

HealthRe: What The Small Generator (I Better Pass My Neighbour) Is Doing To Us by wiseoneking: 9:42am On Nov 19, 2015
ViNeHaNds:
We should be greatful for the ban of that small generator, why? Because The environmental toxicity due to oily fumes emitted by this little machine is very deadly, that i can honestly tell you if you have had it fumes always in your environment and obviously have been breathing it, meehn, you have been seating on a long thing because you have been initiating a process to getting your lungs and hearts in a bad unfixable health conditions, your condition will surely be worst than a chain smoker( whom is liable to die young). Someone had to safe us from ourselves.

Another accomplist on this serious environment pollution and health hazard threat common in our environment is the popular tricycle(keke napep), honestly should get the ban too.

Reason being that the combustion system of this two machines are although economical due to its top fuel efficient utilization ability, i mean it saves fuel in long working hours, but lets mind our health more and embrace this bans.

Looking at the available option in the market there are other brands offering almost same fuel utilization efficiency and extremely low prices and good quality built engines to reducing the health hazard in our environments, you can check this brands to confirm.
The small businesses can embrace this other options.
I have been victim to the unheathy voltage supply of this "i better pass my neighbour" generator, its burnt a few of my phone chargers, which gets me wondering why it chooses to blow up charges and some other home appliances but wont power a refrigerator, infact, appliances like a barber clipper will reciprocate the sound emitted by this generator (which travels in its unheathy voltage).

LETS BE GRATEFUL TO THIS BAN, ITS A NICE ONE AND SHOULD BE COMMENDED, SAY NO TO JUNK APPLIANCES POLLUTING OUR ENVIRONMENTS, CAUSING US GREAT HEALTH IMPLICATIONS, WE DESERVE BETTER WITH OUR HARD EARN MONEY.

Whats the point making all the money when you wont live to enjoy the fruits of your labour, Thank you Mr president for safing us from ourselves.

#remain bless

__VINEHANDS__
Sorry, the pollution of cars, big industrial pollution, gas flaring etc are worst than banning small generators. The solution is for the govt to provide enough power and small generator will go extinct. Let him ban other grades of generators also which also dangerous to health, then it will not been seen as targeting the poor and killing poor buisnesses. Dont just justify this move when you know that the govt got it all wrong. What if there is a mass local production in the country, will the govt stop the local industry producing it or stop people buying it from the market .

PoliticsRe: FG Bans Importation Of ‘I-Pass-My-Neighbour’ Generators by wiseoneking: 2:53pm On Nov 18, 2015
Ndlistic:
The Federal Government has banned the importation of small generators popularly called 'I pass my neighbour,' used by low-income Nigerians.
Controller, Federation Operations Unit Zone A, Lagos of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Mr Madugu Sanni Jubrin, disclosed this in Lagos while speaking with newsmen.

Sanni also said that the command seized 4,733 goods worth N52 million and arrested some suspected smugglers since he assumed duties one week ago.
He said the seizures were made possible through intelligence gathering and other measures put in place by the unit with a view to ensuring that the supply chains of smugglers were fully blocked.

Conducting journalists round the seized items which included 239 bales of used clothing valued at N10 million, 1,120 cartons units of the small generators valued at N13.4 million, among others, Madugu said the unit would not relent in its efforts in ensuring that prohibited items are impounded and those involved in its importation prosecuted.
“The smaller generators have been banned by the Federal Government because it is causing air pollution and destruction of our lungs and breathing system. That is why they have banned it but people are still interested in smuggling them in, that is why we intercepted them.

“If you go to the market, you still see them because people have imported them before the ban. So it is the leftover they had before the ban that they are selling because the law did not backdate the ban and it is not an absolute prohibition.
“It is prohibition by trade which means you cannot bring it in large quantity and sell to the public. That is the type of prohibition we have on this but if you buy one piece, Customs will not seize it.

“We will not relent in our efforts. When we see any prohibited item, we will seize, arrest the people and we will allow the law court to take decision on prosecuting them. So it is better for them to stop smuggling than to continue when they know Customs will catch up with them,” he said.

Gbawe:
Good question one would have to put to the GEJ government that signed the original deal with SystemSpecs. The TSA itself is a good idea and this is why the Buhari government decided to resurrect and use it.

Now it is clear, according to official statement of the FG through its minister of information, it is members of the GEJ government that negotiated the 1% fee. This clears up the controversy because it shows there is no wrongdoing on the path of the Buhari government who can only continue with the scheme, if it wants to derive the obvious benefit Remita provides, until it can review the terms of the contract or possibly cancel without heavy financial penalty.

It is important to note that Remita is a collection system and those usually attract a transaction fee based on the amount involved. The idea of royalty or maintenance fee would therefore not appeal to SystemSpecs (the owner of Remita) since the amount collected on behalf of clients may vary considerably.
i pity your life and that of you god buhari. You just wanted to blame it on gej. Buhari should have reworked every thing as usuall, after all to him, anything gej is corruption. Fraud!

Philip Effiong is the real civil war hero on the biafran side. He didnt run away, he stood his ground and surrendered because he knew the odds were stacked against the biafrans.

However, ojukwu, the initatior of the war, who once boasted that he would fight till the last drop of his blood, eventually ran away to Abidjan after commandeering a plane that was meant to airlift sick biafran children.

Alhaji Shehu Shagari later granted ojukwu amnesty in 1982. In 1983, ojukwu contested in the Senatorial election, he also contested in the 2003 & 2007 presidential elections and he lost woefully on all occasions.

It is highly preposterous that a man who fought against Nigeria, later came back to Nigeria and participated at various elections in the same country that he fought against.
