Under the present leadership of NLC/TUC I think Nigerians should look before they leap at the call of NLC/TUC. I now understand the politics behind the implementation of 18,000 naira minimum wage. Shame!!!

1.) Go to the last 36 governors that served with Olusegun Obasanjo. Offer them immunity from prosecution if they all return N10 billion naira each. After all, most of them were facing charges totaling over N100 billion before their files disappeared from the EFCC. That will give President Jonathan N360 billion naira overnight.
2.) Get all former Director-Generals of the NNPC in the last 20 years. Offer them immunity from prosecution if they all return N1billion for every year they were director. Having been part of an agency of the government that does not know how much oil the multinational corporations are sucking up each day and cannot account for the crude oil dedicated for domestic consumption, they should each give the government N1 billion and we let bygone be bygone. This will give Jonathan at least N20 billion.
3.) President Jonathan should cancel all import waivers given to religious leaders in Nigeria for 2012. Nigeria lost billions of naira just on the waivers given to Pastor Adeboye and his likes under the Obasanjo administration - waivers they used to import expensive cars and luxury goods. Who knows what the big Imams get in waivers? Right there, another N10-50 billion will be readily available.
4.) A 50% cut in the salaries and allowances of members of the Nigerian House of Representative. At $1.4 million each for 360 members, Jonathan can easily get $252 million dollars, which is over N40 billion.
5.) In the senate, with 109 senators each making $1.7 million, a 50% cut in their pay package will give President Jonathan over N14.8 billion naira.
6.) President Jonathan should audit the record books of the government with oil importers. A good auditing firm will easily unearth stolen wealth of the nation. Since these so-called cabals are friends of the president, some of them members of his economic team, the president should just ask them to refund N200 billion and we will let bygones be bygone.
7.) The president should, as a matter of urgency, investigate and evaluate all workers associated with the importation of fuel into Nigeria. Those found wanting should be prosecuted and fired. A good investigation of their assets and accounts will recover at least N1billion.
8.) The same thing should be done with staff of the NNPC, both those serving and the retired staff. A good investigation will net over N10 billion.
9.) The security votes of all state governors should be cut by 50%. At an average of N300 million a month, it runs up to N3.6 billion for a year each. For the 36 state governors, that amount is N129.6 billion naira. A 50% cut will give President Jonathan N64.8 billion a year.
10.) The president should close half of Nigerian missions abroad in a major scale back and find other countries to manage Nigeria’s affairs. That will save at least N10 billion.

Putting the savings together, we have N745.6 billion for the President. That is before he touches his food money and his security vote. That is before he touches Olusegun Obasanjo, Abubakar Atiku, Turai Yar’Adua and the heads of all the failed banks.

So next time they tell you that there is no alternative to the immediate removal of the subsidy, tell them it is a lie. There is an alternative to killing unarmed protesters over mere N479 billion naira that Aliko Dangote can close his eyes and donate to his friend, President Jonathan. After all, the Nigerian state has been good to him over the years.

We elected a government. It is not the duty of the Nigeria people to go after the beneficiaries of the subsidy loot, it is the duty of the government elected by Nigerians. I stumbled upon and was asked to sit in a meeting of elders from Rivers and Bayelsa, some own oil wells and have 24hr unimpeded access to President Jonathan. All 12 of them expressed disappointments at the way and manner he has carried on since Nigerians elected him. They said that they are a brave and a hard-working people and that Jonathan has given them a bad name. They asked me what he could have done and I said a few things.

After the meeting one of them took me to a private room where a call was placed to Mr President. The elder did not mince words in telling him how disappointed they and Nigerians were. He introduced me and put me on the line to speak to Mr. President. I spoke the mind of Nigerians as he listened patiently. In the end he said it was more complicated than most Nigerians imagined. I told him he was elected with full powers to deal with such complications and that Nigerians have lost confidence in him. He sounded subdued. Jonathan is in trouble and he cannot cope with Nigeria. He is afraid of those around him. The South-South must realise that their son is in trouble with the cult PDP. These protests can actually help to embolden him to act and warm himself back into the hearts of Nigerians. Join Nigerians to set Jonathan and Nigeria free.

If we are planning not now,  probably in the future,  to have economic integration with ‘WA Nations’ we have to be selling our Petroleum Products,  goods, and services at competitive rates,  that is at the same rate across board otherwise we would be doomed as a nation like Greece.
 
Subsidising every country from Benin Republic in our immediate West of Nigeria,  to Mauritania in the far North West of West Africa is a suicidal pact with the devil which we should shy and run away from no matter the hardship.

Yes Oil Subsidy is good but considering the Nigeria situation in which people that make up the government are selfish, insensitive, corrupt and unpatriotic. If the government is responsible the attendant hike in price of fuel (95% of which are Old stocks purchased at Old price) would have been considered and controlled. Fuel subsidy would have work, if I can travel from Lagos to Ibadan via a good road, the paracetamol I buy for N10 before is now N5, we have an at least 15-20hours uninterupted power supply daily,

Personally am sick of the noise about this removal of fuel subsidy thing, at least Pump Price of Petrol will be between N150-N180 naira per liter, in a country where there is no stable power supply and industrial activities depend on Petroleum, then:
A sachet of ok biscuit will be sold for N75
A sachet of water will go for N60
A bottle of Coke N150

The armed attack on kabba town has nothing to do with Boko Haram, There has been consistent armed robbery attack on the various banks in Okun Land in the last one year from Isanlu ,Aiyetoro Gbedde down to kabba town .
There are instances where the robbers would even write the bank ahead of time of their coming. Any body that live around kabba town or would attest to this, Both UBA and First Bank are very close to that police station that was blown up have been robbed before in day light robbery where people lost their life.

to butress your point there are better places that boko haram can attack in kabba for instance NYSC Orientation camp and Various church cathedrals in the town.

I live very close to where d incidence happened. It occured between 12:45am to 1:37am The amunition the guys brought are just to sophisticated, the charge rm, dpo's office n armoury was brought down with bomb, First bank building was damaged; security door, computers, vehicles were destroyed.
