4words:Really glad to be reading some intelligent contribution on this thread that can put widespread ignorance to shame instead of the usual FG witch-hunting that is common and pervasive here NUPENG, NLC and co, depending on those leading them, are compromised blackmailers and glorified mercenaries for hire most times with cartel-like mentality. They always want in on the money and therefore make themselves amenable to be used for the vested interests of the likes of powerful Marketers, politicians etal. |
TheBizGenius:💯% correct. Good to note intelligent guys still exist on Nairaland lol. |
Zico5:Are some of you born naturally unfair or is it that reading, to gain information, is to you like a cross is Dracula? What does this have to do with the FG? It is a rift between Dangote Refinery and NUPENG over Union registration for Dangote Refinery workers simply because NUPENG want Dangote workers under their banner and control. The reason is obvious because virtually all organisations in Nigeria are blackmailers worse than those they claim to be fighting. If NUPENG forces a petrol strike, Dangote can still continue supplying Petrol because his workers, not under NUPENG, are not obligated to join the strike. NUPENG simply want the dictatorial power to be able to cripple Nigeria at will or even for political purposes. We saw Joe Ajaero, leader of the Nigerian Labour Congress, engaging in similar antics. Like a poster said earlier, and because of people like you, best Nigerians go their separate ways and manage themselves along regional lines. https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/strike-continues-says-nupeng-over-dangote-labour-dispute/%3famp The National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers on Tuesday vowed to continue its nationwide strike after the collapse of the conciliation meeting organised by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Muhammad Dingyadi, to settle the crisis between the union and the Dangote refinery on Monday. |
NNtv:What is the FG's gain abetting fuel scarcity that will cripple commercial, personal and Government activities? Make it make sense. |
JovialJune:Obvious you have issues per your personalised and insultive tirade. Again, the point is that single mothers must be more responsible than women with no kids. How can anyone have issues with that commonsensical consideration? Searching for love means you operate with compromised judgement? Whereas it is the opposite that is correct. I.e the fact that a vulnerable and helpless child is in a mum's care warrants her being even extra careful. Can you listen to yourself? Secondly, you accuse others of jumping to conclusions yet you call an absent father you do not know, who may be absent by mutual consent or for the best, "dead beat father". Are many responsible separated/divorced couples not co-parenting well? Is all this bitter talk because you a single mother who hates men? |
Predictor3:Well -said. More or less the point I made earlier. Predatory men will target single mothers because they know their options are limited. Meaning a considerable number would be desperate enough to the extent their judgement may be compromised leading them to engage in relationship with character they may reject if single and without the full-time responsibility of caring for one child or more. This young lady in question is seeing someone she is constantly fighting with according to a neighbor. That alone is terrible for the baby to be witnessing and should, to any sensible and responsible mother, be warning sign she must put her child first and get rid of the dude. |
JovialJune:Is something wrong with you? Where did I absolve the the alleged killer of blame? Did you not read the article to note a neighbor confirming probable domestic violence that should be a red flags for any sensible and responsible single mother? That's my point. When you are a single mother, regardless of how you split from the father of your child, your life is no longer your own to be selfish with. The safety and interest of your child should be paramount above everything. “I held the baby, you know, because we spent a little time with each other. She was playing with my phone – she was an active one year old.” |
JovialJune:I qualified my statement with "may".Obvious you're just looking for who to vent on. |
christistruth01:He is finished in Lagos politics for his Chameleon-like desperation to align with Yorubas, for political gains, yet his talk and action shows he despises Yorubas, does not identify with us and has confessed he "does not think in Yoruba". |
Predictor3:Indeed. I have seen it happen many times. Women make terrible choices when lonely and sad or just desperate. Understandable. Yet it is crucial for women to always consider their child, they have custody of, who did not ask to be brought into the world. Check out the tragic example below that confirms all I said. A father is grieving and warning other parents over the death of his son killed by the boyfriend of his ex. The killer had several serious criminal convictions also yet the woman still brought him around her child. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LsYouEocHY?si=Ms4dCME-k1mYR9B4 |
Predictor3:He may actually be around and even a caring dad who is responsible. Nonetheless, he has no influence over the men his ex brings into the life of his daughter. Tragic. |
Wow. What a cutie. Tragic. RIP. A lot of women get in trouble because they cannot understand it is not a must to always have a man around for the sake of it. Better, especially if a single mum, to take time to know a partner before giving it all up to a man and letting him totally into your life and that of your kids. Most times, single mothers are the most desperate to be with men whereas they should be the most careful and most reserved. This tragic development is actually common. |
WizardOfNG:@ Mynd44. Bro kindly look into this development. I won't let it slide. This post was banned by NL "bot" . Explain to me what could have triggered a ban. After I complained and presented a screenshot of the post, a mod reinstated the deleted post. I direct this to you because I know you are fair. Appears as if some Mods are ethnically prejudiced and using their power to dictatorially victimise Yorubas here they feel 'hit hard'. You may be outnumbered with Seun's lunacy of making the most prejudiced Nigerians, from one ethnic group, the majority per composition of Mods on NL but do the right thing and bring this to his attention if my complain has merit. I have many other screenshots of my posts taken out instantly. I am IT literate enough to know those cannot be due to auto ban from a bot. It is human action because parameters I observe can't be filtered for insults, bullying etc as the posts aren't guilty of that . the bans I get are predatory, deliberate and prejudiced Moderator action. @Nairalanders. If you are banned and you feel such is unfair, use back button twice to see your post in live mode retained in the RAM (random access memory) of your device. Screenshot and present here. Let's get to the bottom of abuse of power by the MODs misguided Seun keeps deploying trying to be 'woke'. Below is another "bot" ban I received. A poster is baiting. I respond without insult. Instant WWF-style takedown. Guys don't be reactive or apathetic. That is what is behind most problems of Nigeria. Be proactive and fight to defeat ogres. From now on, screenshot and prove you did no wrong. Only way to force Seun to remove bigoted, hateful and intolerant mods abusing their power here.

DMerciful:Bro, sit your frustrated azz down somewhere. No one told you Tinubu owns Lagos. He is a respected decision-maker there. Along with others who even despise GRV more. That you people continue to delude yourselves you are sizeable does not amount to anything on the ground capable of helping you and your hostile takeover agenda of Lagos you believe the likes of GRV can make a reality. |
Gerhards:Lol. Work yourself up as much as you want. Tinubu is the Awolowo of the SW today. A super citizen of the region that critical-thinking and pragmatic Yorubas respect and trust. Mind your SE business bro. Learn to stay in your lane. |
WesleyPepper:Lol. Are you surprised given his history? Has Obi ever squared up to anyone like proper men do? |
omoredia:Are you living in the world of sane, productive, responsible and achieving adults at all? The bolded would make sense if even a handful of Edo folks control a few influential political and public administration offices of Lagos out of the hundreds existing. Is there even a single local Government chairman in Lagos of Edo origin? Which kind ownership model, without office or influence, be dis una own "Benin own Lagos" gibberish? Your senseless talk is how achievers can spot dreamers forming G-Wagon owners in their room when they do not even have a skateboard. |
omoredia:Lol. I think you are confused bro. |
Sheuns:Of course you'd love your kinsman, even when he does what is wrong and to be condemned, instead of noting that the ingrained lack of respect he is operating with will get him nowhere in the SW. That is how you people roll. Is Tinubu his mate for him to be dragging disrespectfully? Could GRV's dad, claiming 'Omo Eko', have shown face when OBJ gangster politics was taking lives in the SW and Tinubu was the last man standing against the onslaught? Opposition politics should not be about stupidity and arrant disrespect for those who paved the way and paid their dues heavily as Tinubu has undoubtedly done. Who sanitised SW politics for GRV to now be talking his nonsense? As I said, those who respect for others, particularly elders meriting commendation, is not part of their culture cannot thrive in Lagos and SW politics. Never. |
Didijiji:Can Hitler ever adore Jews? Likewise, can I wait around expecting your sort to ever see the good Tinubu is doing? |
Mrexcell:Who is telling you Tinubu is God. He is influential and respected for his fight for Lagos while sole opposition to the PDP in the SW that OBJ wanted to crush and frustrate from 1999. Tinubu fought his fight alone virtually and won. The man moved Lagos forward despite all the sabotage in ways 99.5% of others would not have been able to do. Fashola, Ambode and Sanwo Olu, for all their achievements, would not have been able to fight OBJ, continue delivering for Lagos and even create a Party, ACN, that bounced OBJ and his PDP thugs out of the SW. Never. Not their level. Tinubu is a living legend and his exemplary "against all odds" achievements is what people respect him for. History may mean nothing to you lot and GRV, who is Igbo in my opinion, but Yorubas never forget their champions like Tinubu, Awolowo, Gani Fawehimni etal. Even if Tinubu is prevented from being the main decision-maker, many influential Lagosians will never allow GRV to be anything in Lagos for his uncouth disrespect towards Yorubas. What you people don't understand is that Tinubu is actually one of the most liberal and tolerant leaders of Lagos. There are many far more radical, intolerant and disinterested in compromising with the likes of ethnocentric and divisive GRV. Go and find out those in the GAC of Lagos, Governor's advisory council, to educate yourself. Tinubu this, Tinubu that. What a joke. You people simplistically think GRV will benefit if Tinubu is suddenly out of the way? It will even be worse for him without Tinubu controlling the hardliners who have taken GRV's arrogance and disrespect very personally. Unlike PBAT. |
esnbrutality:GRV is what exactly? Have you ever looked at him critically, profession and achievement-wise, to note he is far below the standard Tinubu empowers into crucial leadership position in Lagos? GRV is just feeling himself. He is nothing and will never be anything in Lagos politics. Mr."I don't think in Yoruba". |
Lanretoye:Precisely what I said only for so-called bot to ban me and remove the post (see image above) from view. Why would Tinubu ever be interested in having the divisive GRV in any leadership position in his beloved Lagos? |
Elusive001:Is your prejudice against the PBAT Government, to the extent you will never see or say anything good about it, not obvious from the bolded? You guys are just toxic beyond redemption. No doubt tariffs has gone up but decent Nigerians cannot deny power supply has improved vastly. That is because most normal and balanced Nigerians are not hateful and bigoted to the point of sadism and blatant denial of the reality they are experiencing. |
bot101:Look, simply state precisely where you live. nairaland has members virtually everywhere. Let them confirm your claim that you alone has not noted much improved power supply in Lagos. |
Is GRV now protected specie here also? Otherwise what is offensive in what I wrote below about him to be banned by the "bot" whereas Tinubu gets insulted to high heaven daily without repercussion?
|
Reverse psychology. You already know Tinubu will never have any interest in allowing an openly bigoted, emotional and prejudiced individual like you become a State or Federal legislator for Lagos let alone Governor. Nonsense. Untalented mediocrity like you. mscheeeew. |
bot101:Please stop it. Power supply has improved. That is not in dispute. While you may not be the "paid hack" you accuse of being, despite that you are in the minority by far with your opinion, it is obvious you have your reason for denying the truth majority of Nigerians are testifying to. Pretty sure the reason is not a good one. |
Elusive001:Please try and practice remaining silent sometimes rather than speak to then show ignorance an 8 year old should not be guilty of. Is it generation alone that gets power into your home? That is your clue and I need say no more. You've embarrassed yourself enough |
