Nigeria is 8th most insecure country in the world for a reason, there is widespread insecurity in the country, at least 4 out of the 6 geopolitical zones in engulfed in insecurity. Just in Benue state alone, there are over half a million people in IDP camps. Even if they give people like you 200 years, you will never bother to ask why your country is like this, all you people care about is using insecurity to play politics as things get worse. There are no IDP camps in Igboland

Amnesty International is trying to tell you that your government and security forces are making insecurity worse, rather than better, but you people don't care

You are in a country where Police officers like James Nwafor are busy committing heinous crimes from abductions to torture to disappearances to murder. Rather than be angry that your own security forces that are supposed protect life and property, are doing the opposite, you are busy talking about their ethnic group?

In you country that claims to be a democracy, security forces are abducting people, never to be seen again. So how will their ever be peace when state actors and none state actors are busy killing people?

The job of Amnesty International is to show you the level your country has sunk, that those who are supposed to give you peace, are busy giving you insecurity. You guys can choose to worry about this, or choose to play politics with it talking about ethnicity
Bro, stop this idiocy. Let us compartmentalize issues, even if of different intellectual capacity, as educated men.

Which are the safest and most unsafe/terrorised regions of Nigeria today?

Does the reality of region, concerning their degree of safety or lack thereof, not highlight the importance of human human factor to you?

While you continue to play the victim card, with your obsessive insistence Igbos are innocent victims over the insecurity in your own SE, your region will continue to burn and deteriorate.

You should not even have started this thread if a person capable of seeing what is obvious.

SARS was the worst thing to happen to Nigeria and Nigerians same as so many other police force. They're bunch of criminals under the guise of security forces killing and selling human parts without questioning from anyone. They flex their full muscles on Igbos while the Hausa/Fulani are commiting crimes easily under their escort.
Lol. Ironic you talk abour SARS. James Nwafor and the many men of Awkuzu SARS he controlled are from what ethnic group exactly?

This blind and clannish exoneration of Igbos of wrongdoing, while insistent on blaming others for everything, is the reason the SE is in serious trouble today.

If you are not a people with the patent mindset that you are all saintly and innocent, while it is others who are demons, then Kanu and co would not have succeeded selling you the narrative that fighting foreigners Will make everything perfect with Igbos.

I initially thought your support for the APC was rooted in principles that predated Tinubu’s presidency. But if you're still backing him despite the well-documented allegations of drûg traffickiñg, certificáte fórgéry, and identity inconsistencies, then it's hard not to question the values behind that support. Leaders reflect the standards we accept, and standing by someone with such a tainted record raises serious concerns about judgment and integrity.
Lol. Stop jumping around ignorantly. Nigerians politics, for pragmatically intelligent folks, is not at the level of maturity other democracies have reached worldwide where supports for political Parties is based on the core and unchanging ideology of those Parties.

Only emotional and unrealistic peoole like you, never willing ton defer to and work with reality, naively do the "I wan die on top APC and PDP matter".

I believe in Tinubu's exemplariy leadership, based on his many outstanding achievements as a poltical leaders others cannot march, and this is why I followed him from ACN to APC.

Similarly, I will become a passionate backer of Soludo in future, and any political platform he settles on, if he is seeking to be President under PDP, labour or whatever because I believe he will lead Nigeria well as President.

In Nigeria currently, it is individual mindset of leaders shaping politial leadership and not Party ideology.

This is why the Presidency of Buhari and Tinubu, though both became Presidents on the APC platform, is very different.

Those of you not ready to accept this cold and brutal trurh of our nation, and continue obstinately seeing everything from APC and PDP perspective, are naive elements who do not see what is most important for our nation's growth and development.

If you are intellectually discerning youd know, for now and the foreseeable future, that Nigerian political Parties should be viewed as platforms we use to get the best rather than any redundantly stupid belief APC is better than ADC and labour vice versas whereas Atiku, Obi and the many leaders you all support passionately keep changing parties as if changing socks.

Your allegation of drug dealings against PBAT I wont dignify with a counter explanation for the fact that beyond the period you petty and prejudice folks continue to obsess about, Tinubu has had an over 3 decades-long meritorously outstanding and globally lauded involvement in Nigerian and African politics yet you people only wish to reduce that reality about him to an episode he was never criminally indicted over.

What you and your Peter Obi-obsessed kinsmen are doing is attempting to demonize Tinubu over a specific cruminal activity, that is verified culture of you lot, shows the desperation of drowning men clutching at straws.

Your insistence all Nigerians should focus on what happened in Tinubu's life while abroad several decades ago, and not his distinguished and progressively outstanding involvement in Nigerian politics over the past three decades, shows you people are not interested in progress for Nigeria and Nigerians.

Igbo Presidency, and demonization of whoever/whatever stands in the way of that, is the main agenda that drives your talk.
Politics › Re: Pictures Of People Abducted By Security Forces In The SE, Never To Be Seen Again by WizardOfNG:
@Gidgiddy.

Bro, when will you wise up like Ijelespeak, Soludo and co who are insisting it is Igbos themselves responsible for 99% (Soludo) of the wrongs happening to Igbos?

You even mentioned Ebebeagu in the list of security parastatals responsible for the disappearance of Igbos, in your eagerness to play victim as usual, without having the objective clarity of mind to note the Ebubeagu was solely formed by your Igbo leaders and was 100% Igbo-run too in term of staffing and operational brief.

All the wrongs happening to Igbos in the SE today is due to direct and indirect actions of Igbos. You and other will never see this because of your culture of seeking to bigotedly blame 'outsiders' and non-Igbos for all your woes.

I will give an example. James Nwafor and his Igbo Awkuzu SARS affiliates killed many young Igbos and even sold their organs in a thriving black market hell in your land.

Yet, how many of you guys have mentioned him here on Nairaland let alone demand he must be fished out and dealt with to serve as a deterrent to Igbos like him?

You Ignore talking about him, as if he never existed, yet focus always on barking about "Fulani DSS killing innocent Igbos" .

If Yoruba land has a James Nwafor he will have no place to hide and will never escape justice living in our land let alone be shielded, as if a ghost, as is happening in Igbo land today.

Yorubas will be disgusted by such a character in our midst and would have started countless thread about him on Nairaland, twitter etal.

This is because the Yorubas are a balanced and responsible people who know there is good and bad in every ethnic group.

We dont host the illogical opinion all our kinsmen are good and all else are bad as you do.

Because Yorubas never seek to shift blame to others over the actions of Yoruba monsters in our society, that we fully acknowledge the existence of, we are able to stay on top of Yoruba criminals to maintain the SW as one of the safest regions of Nigeria.

The Yorubas acknowledge and deal with our aberrant, rogue and criminal elements which has today resulted in how far more safe and sane the SW is in comparison to SE is,

This 'victim card' thread you created , showing the unwillingness of Igbos to take responsibility for their actions, while continuing to obsessively play the victim card against other Nigerians, reveals the main problem of Igbos and Igbo land today.

This is the same tired propaganda you’ve been regurgitating all over Nairaland like a broken record. The fact remains and it’s not up for debate that APC is a terró.rist organization, and that’s not hyperbole; it’s a reality many Nigerians live with daily and you know it. But because you are paid to defend the APC, you choose to lie to yourself and pretend.

Listen, Yes, the judge’s declaration was in the context of an asylum case, but it wasn’t just about one person it was a legal acknowledgment of the violent and oppressive nature of the APC-led regime. That's a serious indictment. You can try to water it down, but the implication is clear: APC’s name is now stained on the global stage.

As for visas, stop gaslighting. Visa approvals or rejections are not the issue credibility is. The ruling speaks to the character of the party you blindly defend. It doesn’t matter how many governors or local chairmen you list corruption, human rights abuses, and state-sponsored violence, electoral violence of grab it, snatch it and run away with can’t be laundered with political titles.

Also, calling people “villagers” for exposing your beloved party’s rot is classic deflection. Insults don’t erase the truth. APC has failed, and no amount of barking online will clean the blood off its hands.

So chew on that bone you tried to throw,it’s laced with facts.
Lol. Bloviated nonsense. I am broadly an APC supporter because of PBAT.

Yet, due to the passport I have, I don't even need a visa for short term visits to Canada.

Similarly, many Nigerians who are even APC office holders are getting visas to Canada daily and as we speak. The Canadian Government is still happily and cordially trading with the APC-led Nigeria which is a nation that is her biggest trading partner in Africa.

In whose mind then, except desperados eager to use anything and everything to demarket APC and Tinubu, is the announcement of this judge meaningful or impactful?

The declaration of the judge does not affect the majority of Nigerians needing and gaining visas to Canada daily as their political affiliation does not need to be known let alone such becoming an issue.

Again, I repeat you are operating with petty villager mentality because you are only ungraciously and spitefully mocking an asylum seeker without the intellect to appreciate that this judgement you are making a mountain out of is a meaningless molehill 'victory' in your mind alone.

The judgement you and your co-travellers are celebrating is only relevant to Nigerians in the unfortunate postion of seeking asylum in Canada.

A Canadian court's designation of Nigeria's ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), as a terrorist organization is a damning international indictment. Lol. Dont mind them. A lot of Nigerians are analytically blind because they are way too emotional than is healthy.

Tinubu is a powerful incumbent and the Presidency remaining in the South, under him, is a bigger project than Atiku’s toxic sole and dishonorable ambition.

Many influential Northerners will support PBAT and work against Atiku for their own permanent political interest and not for any love of Tinubu.

APC 2022 Primaries showed this. Even on this our Nairaland many claimed Tinubu will lose because Buhari and Northern hawks are against him.

I told them Jagaban will win easily and overwhelmingly because Northerners who will be voting, and not some emotional loudmouth on Nairaland, will support Tinubu because their own personal and future political ambition/interest is more important to them than doing 'abobaku' for Buhari and some desperados.

That exactly what happened. I.e Tinubu won the APC primaries with a landslide. Same will play out in 2027 against Atiku.

Na to switch to alternatives source of energy.
Ask me how!
I agree with this. Alternatives to fossil fuel and hydropower electrification should be considered.

Solar power, for example is a natural fit for Nigeria. Government should consider a PPP arrangement with quality producers of complete solar solution to boost power supply for residential users.

They can incentivise Nigerians to embrace solar power by paying a considerable part of the costs , say 40%, of solar solution residential users settle on like how the UK offers a solar grant for homes that want to include solar power into their electrification mix.

A private sector partner to Government can easily be a one-stop shop for government grant-assisted solar solution by supplying the system, installing it and calculating/billing the government for it's contribution to solar solutions for Nigerian homes.

The critical issue is the percentage the government will pay as grant element which I believe must be at least 40% to encourage serious uptake from Nigerians.

Their desperation to believe what is outrightly incorrect speaks volumes about their zeal to always and automatically celebrate what appears to discredit/demarket Nigeria.

What the OP claimed, as the excerpt from his original post shows below, is flat wrong because a Canadian Court lacks the power and jurisdictional authority to make such a declaration.

Yet we all know why they all rushed to celebrate ignorantly and prematurely when even a few seconds of research would have prevented them making a fool of themselves.

A Canadian court's designation of Nigeria's ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), as a terrorist organization is a damning international indictment. Now, your take on international law is frankly embarrassing. Judges in democratic countries are independent they don’t need clearance from trade departments or foreign ministries to rule on asylum or terrorism-related claims. That’s basic civics.
Crystal clear, with many examples here, you are the one with a penchant for embarrassing himself because of poor knowledge and lack of intellectual discernment.

Commonsense even a kid should possess will reveal to most that your talk of judges in democratic Countries being "independent" is ignorant and unintelligent hogwash because Courts and judges have jurisdictional restrictions.

It is as simple as that in this case also because a judge or Court in Canada lacks the power to declare a Nigerian political Party a terrorist entity.

Only the Government of Canada has that power. Look below to see confirmation.

With that out of the way, can you see you have again confirmed my point about you and your co-travellers because you automatically endorse what is wrongdoing against Nigeria, assuming such has even been formally verified to begin with, to then launch into a sanctimonious diatribe via creating a completely unnecessary thread.

Correctly notified that you are wrong, your response is to double down and carry on with obtuse defence of your incorrect declaration.

Of course a person who hates Nigeria would always insist any negative indictment of our nation is factual and accurate rather than do a few seconds of research to note if indeed, as others have cited, Nigeria and perhaps a Nigerian,i.e Mr. Douglas Egharevba, have been wronged.

Is it not obvious, as I stated before, your lack of objectivity towards Nigeria, with your clear preference for automatically insisting the purported Court judgements is correct, appears steeped in prejudice against our nation?

Politics › Re: APC And The Terrorism Label: A Nation Must Look Within by WizardOfNG: 3:33am On Aug 17, 2025
@OP.

It is you and your kinsmen who needs to "look within" per your penchant for always rushing unobjectively and automatically to demarket your nation by supporting whatever/whoever wrongs her.

As I said when the first thread about this topic appeared, what the Canadian judge did is wrong and a judgement beyond his jurisdiction to reach. See below and especially note the position of International law.

I,ve stated it before that Nigeria merely needs to officially petion the AGF of Canada to get this nonsense repealed and the judge sanctioned.

A nation cannot declare the Political Parties of another Sovereign nation, to include her ruling Party that has produced her President or head of State, as terrorists.

Commonsense should tell you that the Canadian Government offically recognised the legitimacy of our democracy, Presidency and ruling Party.

This is why Canada is a diplomatic and trading partner with Nigeria to the extent our nation is the largest trading partner of Canada in Africa.

How can a judge within Canada then declare what the Canadian Government has not done and has no power to do?

The conduct of political parties of sovereign nation is their internal affairs in the eyes of International law.

It speaks volume, negatively, of you people from а certain ethnic group that at no stage at all do you feel compelled to defend Nigeria even when it is obvious she has been wronged.

Rather you rush to declare every illegality against her as valid and in order. Yet you want one of your one to be President of a nation you clearly hate. What a joke.
