Putindbutt:Lol. His inability to even note the existence of Yoruba Rasheedat Ajibade, let alone credit her with contributing to the victory of the Falcons, as the world recognised by giving player of the tournament award, shows how pathetic, self-destructively and ignorantly supremacist, like Hitler, some people are. Hitler too, an Aryan supremacist, was embarrassed by how American Jesse Owen, a black man, won major medals to embarrass Hitler who had planned the 1936 Olympics to be a show of Aryan supremacy till Owen totally dismantled and embarrassed his vile ignorance. Shame we still have some Nigerians emptily supremacist in the mould of Hitler, today. Tragic. Below is the story of a pivotal event in history, 1936 precisely, those desirous of knowledge should read about the vileness of supremacist pontificating a Nigerian ethnic group is still guilty of in 2025 and will be likely still be guilty of in 3035. https://www.peoplesworld.org/article/daily-worker-1936-black-athletes-embarrass-hitler-at-nazi-olympics/

cathodekazim:Indeed. Are you surprised though? For them, Lies, half-truths and even propaganda are necessary 'tools' to use proclaiming "dominance" over every other African. Same way their forefathers were obsessive pioneers of empty and misguided supremacist speech, they remain ever ready today to use misinformation, to rob others of credit they deserve, to create the impression they are the beginning and end of everything in humanity. There own inferiority complex, anchored with an unbelievably desperate need for constant validation, is second to non in the world. |
owobokiri:Lol. In trying to castigate others, you have simply exposed yourself as another parochial and bigoted Nigerian who operates with the mentality "the blessed Biafrans won it for Nigeria". Yes OO you are right claiming "Obis brothers and sisters, always come around to save wuna". Same mentality that would lead Northerners, if they are like you, to disturb us non-stop with braggart noise of "Dangote is the messiah saviour of Nigeria". |
Shawarmagirl:This is the incorrigible bragging, based on nothing at all, I explained above that others will find ungracious, unnecessary and annoying as happened with the antics of the Igbo King and his people in Ghana. People who are selling fanta and fan Yogi on Lekki expressway will be making redundant noise online about buying all the land of Yorubas as if Yorubas are still not, by far, the biggest land and property owners plus most successful commercial property developers, interior designers, land banking merchants and architects in the SW. These people will never learn nor change. I am just glad, outside Nigeria, folks are now able to differentiate between them and other Nigerians. |
Cherrybae:What people don't understand is that Ghanaians are very different to Nigerians even if those with heads in the sand, from both sides, love claiming "Nigerians and Ghanaians are brothers and sisters" for the sake of appearing political correct. I call a spade a spade always. There are some similarity between Nigerians and Ghanaians, and most Ghanaians are decent and welcoming enough in my opinion, but a major difference Nigerians should note is that Ghanaians have a much smaller worldview, are far less expansive in outlook and considerably more inward-looking than Nigerians. Those can lead to displays of clannishness . I talk not to denigrate them, as even their own prominent Ghanaians confirm it, but to warn Nigerians to stop going to Ghana to do things their host will find offensive. Ghanaians are not like the Yorubas, SS and North Central folks who have, by African standard, genuinely sophisticated, exposed, outgoing and expansive minds that allow them to be tolerant of all in their land and not feel threatened by the activities of those who are different. This behaviour is not about Nigerians having to tolerate fellow Nigerians either because in the SW, for example, Nigerians are totally and liberally comfortable with non-Nigerians to the extent they do as they please largely. Ghanaians, conversely, will get threatened by the loud, aggressive, seemingly arrogant and 'entitled behaviour of Non-Ghanaians 'outsiders'. They even display same attitude in the diaspora and I have experienced this first hand in the UK and USA severally. It is therefore no surprise that those who, because of covetous expansionism, are forever incapable of 'reading the mood in the room' , to understand their host, cannot note the offence the insensitive Igbo King caused that has directly sparked this protest and will lead to even further problems for Nigerians in Ghana in the future. They will keep making arrogant and entitled noise rather than agree they should tone down their excesses others do not like. Next will come the noise of "dominating lazy and unambitious Ghanaians in their own land". Well As I have explained, Ghanaians will not tolerate that as some Nigerians do. "Do anyhow and see anyhow" in Ghana. Ghana is not SW or SS Nigeria. |
chopnaira:The are masters of blatantly fraudulent revision of history. Established and verified facts means absolutely nothing to them when they wish to engage in korokoro denial of guilt to then claim it is others, not them, who are guilty. |
Tochi3:You clearly can't afford data. Watch the video from 5:42 where a Ghanaian is complaining bitterly about the Igbo King who want to build an Igbo community in Ghana with schoola, malls etc. They know the difference to note the particular Nigerians they have issues with. Stop the political correctness. Some people need to take responsibility for their offensive ways and make amends rather than produce excuses or engage in whataboutism. |
CJStarz:You are clearly stingy with using data. Watch the video from 5:42 where a Ghanaian is complaining bitterly about the Igbo King who want to build an Igbo community in Ghana with schools, Malls etc. They know the difference to note the particular Nigerians they have issues with. Stop the political correctness. Some people need to take responsibility for their offensive ways and make amends rather than produce excuses or engage in whataboutism. |
Manny21:Incredible !!! Wow !!! Your interpretation of events is that Umahi "nonsense knocker" who is "knocking" Kwankwaso rather than doing his duty, as Minister of works, to precisely cite the project of the Government he works for, that exposes Kwankwaso for engaging in condemnably toxic and divisive politicking? Crystal clear you are the most objective and most fair-minded member of this forum. |
Softmirror:Really shocking several posters are shamelessly avoiding doing that to be attacking those who have been wronged in this case, i.e President Tinubu and his leadership team, while backing Kwankwaso blindly because of nothing other than hatred and deep resentment of PBAT. Kwankwaso is clearly and condemnably wrong, No doubt about that at all. Nigeria is gone. When some cannot even condemn the deliberate wrongdoing of a political leaders, that can heat up the polity, it is obvious Nigerians are too divided and hateful of each other to ever grow as a united and progressive entity. Yorubas realize this and this is why they wish to depart, via regional autonomy, the self-destructive and regressive lunacy of 'one Nigeria'. |
healthkknatural:What fact is Kwankwaso stating when Umahi has factually discredited his disgraceful and shocking utterances as lies, fabrications and misinformation no educated political leader should be guilty of? I don't know when deliberate misinformation of Nigerians, condemnably wrong for a political leader to engage in , can be adjudged as fact by any objective and progressive Nigerian. |
atobs4real:Political leaders lying deliberately and shamelessly, to deceive a restive region, that President Tinubu is prejudiced against them and deliberately starving them of project in favour of others, have the "right to their opinion"? Are you for real? Crystal clear some of you are prejudiced and unfair, beyond redemption, to the extent you cannot even make the right call in a case to declare what/who is outrightly and obviously wrong and would rather frame it ridiculously as "right to their opinion" in defence of the wrongdoer. As Umahi said, after his factual provision of definitive information that exposes the ungracious and mischievous lies of the Kano former Governor, Kwankwaso owes President Tinubu an apology. All fair and objective Nigerian, regardless of their feelings about PBAT, should make the very same demand Umahi has because it is clear Kwankwaso, using blatant lies and misinformation, is trying to whip up ethnocentric sentiments against a President from the Southern part of our nation. Good, decent and upright people don't support wrongdoing against even their enemies. Some of you should remember that. |
AMINDA:You must be joking. Umahi, a patriotic, progressive and hardworking member of the Tinubu government, is wrong for taking umbrage at Kwankwaso's deliberate and incendiary dishonesty we know is to heat up the polity and create disaffection for Tinubu's Presidency in the North? What Kwanwaso did, that many Northern leaders are engaging in routinely today, should enrage all fair-minded people even if they are rabid haters of Tinubu. It is people prejudicially unfair, beyond redemption, who would pick on Umahi here rather than condemn the deliberate misdeeds of Kwankwaso to portray Tinubu a hater of the North and a "biased Southern President" unfair to the region. The very same region full of so many illiterates who cannot fact-check issues yet are always amenable to be used cynically and violently by power-obsessed leaders as we saw happen during the protest, turned to rioting, with foreign flag display during the August protest in the North. Northern leaders, many of them born-to-rule hegemonists and supremacists, know precisely the cynical, unfair and dishonorable games they are playing over power. It is the reason the sophisticated Yorubas are fed up of it all and seriously agitating for regional autonomy to free us of this distractive, anti-progress, retrogressive and very predictable blackmail of the North every time power is with a Southerner. |
Safyqueen:Jonathan did not break the rotation formula. Fate, beyond human control, did. He already had 5 years in power, of what was felt to be the tenure of the North, because even Northern leaders grudgingly allowed him that 5 years knowing that it was Yar Adua's death that put GEJ in that position and not dishonorable behaviour. It was when GEJ was seeking a second term that many felt he was overreaching and had go to appease the North. That is why the likes of Tinubu, who had supported Jonathan to win in 2011, worked for Buhari in 2015 because of the understanding that if Jonathan got another 4 years in power, to make 9 altogether on behalf of the South, then that would surely have damaged the rotational arrangement seriously. That is obvious because the South would have had 17 years in power (8 for OBJ and 9 for GEJ) while the North would have had 3 (via Yar Adua) since our democracy began in 1999. Only dishonest people will think that will happen without serious repercussion I will let others work out rather than state. As for the East and the Presidency, Southerners don't tell the North where to microzone the Presidency to when It is their turn. We leave that to them as their right to do. Same way the South should work on that internally too when it is the turn of the South rather than Igbo demand it, with threats and blackmail, as if it it their right. Finally, Southerners supporting the North to usurp a term of four years from the 8 year of the South are myopically self-destructive, unprogressive and not focused on what is best for Nigeria and their generation unborn. I don't need to expand on that as those with a good grasp of critical issues know what I mean. |
AMINDA:You are just trying to crudely whip up ethnic disaffection against the Yorubas by gaslighting the emotions of Igbos since you and most Northerners, and even Nigerians at large , know this is easy to do. Let's look at the facts. When it was viewed to be the turn of the North in 2007, after OBJ, how many Southerners shouted it must not be Fulanis because that would not be fair to Hausa, Mumuye, Kanuri etal? Did Southerners protest against Buhari, in 2015, to insist it is the turn of non-Fulanis ethnic groups to produce the President? No. This is because the South, full of sublimely intelligent people, know the power sharing arrangement is between South and North. When it is the turn of the North, it must be Northerners who must agree within themselves where power should be micro-zoned to and not for Southerners to gaslight or blackmail them over rhat decision. The reason is that non but Northerners can make an insistent argument for meritorious micro-zoning of power to any region of the several, in the North, when power has to shift to the North. Ditto when power shifts to the South. The Yorubas owe Igbos nothing unless Igbo build bridges and convince the Yorubas to support them. It is as simple as that. You will see this principle proven to be accurate when it is the turn of the South in 2039, assuming Tinubu gains a second term, when the SW will support the SS, rather than the SE, to become President on the Southern slot. What I confidently predict will happen is that the SS will get the support of the SW to produce the President of Nigeria haven shown the region is a more supportive and politically mature partner to the SW than the toxic SE that prosecutes politics always as if such is about hatred, ethnic bigotry, enmity, hurling of insults, defamation and malevolent toxicity towards others. The SW , when it is the turn of the South, does not owe the SE any support or favours because they always proudly and unreservedly present themselves as our life-long political enemies who do not mean us well. Yorubas own nothing to an SE that has remained, for decades, incapable of embracing mature politicking. |
koning:Lol. The bolded in your post 100% confirms I would be wasting my own time with any further back and forth with you. Goodbye and kindly accept my apologies for responding to you in the first place. |
ovie8200:The Hausa man below, who resides, in the USA concluded same as the bolded in your post. All pragmatically intelligent, progressive and benevolent-minded Southerner will never support the North, especially a Fulani, gaining power in 2027. Never. Only Southerners that hatred for others has damaged their reasoning, beyond repair, will wish and work for an Atiku, rather than a Peter Obi or Sowore, to depose Tinubu in 2027. What the Hausa man below states, shows how imperative it is for Southerners to always insist on their full 8 years in power to neutralise what will predictably be 8 years of retrogressive, ethno-religiously bigoted and communist-like gradualism from the North. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEczxfZ1s7Q?si=XRfk9zDqPGSgLs9t |
esnbrutality:You may be conventionally intelligent but you lack emotional intelligence, pragmatic grasp of pivotal issues and the capacity to think critically. Whether you appreciate it or not, perhaps because leaders themselves never voice it , the fact is that Nigeria could be in very serious and existential trouble, that would make the Rwanda ethnic genocide strife appear like childplay, if rotation of power between the North and South is not strictly adhered to. Especially because of the North's uncompromising demand for power we all know can involve a lot of terrible things not to be mentioned her Jonathan, due to no fault of his, inherited the turn of the North. He had already spent 5 years in power that Northerners felt belonged to them had Yar Adua not died. That five years Jonathan had in power, as at the 2015 election, was enough in their opinion and the further four Jonathan was seeking, to make it nine years in power for the South, was simply not tenable. Their hawks were already using terrorism to battle Nigeria seriously, under GEJ, after he won the 2011 electuon, because they felt the South had dishonorably usurped power belonging to the North. All leaders, Northerners or Southerners, knew what had to be done to keep the peace and forward motion of Nigeria. When you were a child whose world and views were simple and naive, same as the life of a lot of ordinary Nigerians remain simple and uncomplicated, you did not know what your father had to do to put food on the table that may have included unpleasant things he engaged in to make sure you fed. Same way most ordinary Nigerians, without appreciation of the dynamics of regional power play and balancing, don't know what sensible and reasonable leaders had to do so we do not become Afghanistan or Somalia when it will then be same emotional folks like you who'd be crying when we are at that stage. Tinubu is a hero and a force for good. Take it or leave it. No better show of this than how GEJ, your sort claim he wronged, is on good terms with Tinubu today while PEJ, Jonathan's wife, is passionately and openly supportive of the Presidency of Tinubu. They both know who their enemies are and those who did what they had to do in the best interest of all. This is why it is you emotional people crying more than the bereaved today rather than GEJ, his wife and many fellow Ijaws , to include their most fiery like Tompolo and Asari Dokubo etal, behind Tinubu today. |
LZAA:Unlike you, and as others who know ne on NL will testify to, I work with proven facts that history and events validates. Not personal opinion alone like most. We faced this same situation in 2022 where the poster Odin13 or Asgard23 to 500, plus others like him, kept insisting the North will ensure Tinubu does not emerge APC candidate since, in their opinion, Buhari and other Northern big wig had decided a Northerner must continue beyond the then PMB. I simply told all of them, at the time, that honorable Northerner will rise against Northern supremacist and born-to-rule elements to help Tinubu win because they have ambitions beyond Buhari's exit they will not compromise doing "abobaku" for the then outgoing PMB. I was correct as Northerners overwhelmingly helped Tinubu win the APC primaries and also assisted him to win the 2023 Presidential election. Same thing will happen in 2027 because permanent interest of many almost always defeats the harmful and selfish ambitions of one individual and a few others behind said individual. I.e Atiku. In 2027, most Northerners with ambitions of gaining greater future political success, they know they need the Yorubas assistance for, beyond Atiku's toxic ambitions that will damage that very ambition they are chasing, will do the honorable thing to reject Atiku and help Tinubu win. |
koning:Okay. No wahala. It is in your nature to be incapable of shunning emotions to note obvious future outcomes that will be detrimental to you if you don't change course. Continue arguing blindly and pretending not to see the main points others are making. Azikiwe was full of hubris too when he arrogantly opposed Awolowo's attempt for the inclusion of a secession clause in our constitution. Who has that mistake continued to haunt till today if not you guys shouting Biafra non-stop for circa six decades now? Igbo coup that then saw a bloody Northern reprisal nko? Ironsi Unification decree we are all suffering the horrendous effects of till today? What about even the most recent folly of you guys supporting Kanu and Ekpa to turn the SE into an Arena of death and destruction when we had warned you to reject hate preachers and their lunacy? The Yorubas now know clearly what they want, I.e regional autonomy and control of their own socio-economic direction in their land, which should be what you guys should desire also if progressive and sincere. If you wish, keep feigning ignorance of such to be making entitlement noise over the SW geographical space as if 'one Nigeria' will last forever. Whereas you'd be better served facing the urgent need to prepare for an inevitable future where every Nigerian will have to leverage their own success on the concept of "charity begins at home". I.e working to make our respective regions the best homes for us instead of going to drag those of others with them in the name of comatose and discredited 'one Nigeria'. |
seunmsg:Well-said. The poster you responded to eloquently is sadly, in my opinion, not a honorable person. Him and his ilk are blindly behind Atiku whose ambition is divisive, fractious, toxic and capable of taking Nigeria on a road to perdition of no return. The way Northern supporters of Atiku, who I must say are not speaking for majority of Northerners, are disdainful of the need for equity towards Southerners is plain shocking. Reasonable Nigerians, wherever they may be from, recognise there is a need always to do right in the interest of what is best for Nigeria lest we find ourselves facing the horrible Rwanda ethnic internecine conflict the world never wishes to see a repeat of. What the hegemonistic born-to-rule Northern supremacists fail to see, let alone defer to, is the sacrifice the South has made to keep Nigeria united and one. There were many Southerners displeased with Buhari's first term and wishing it to end. Yet which Southern leader began a dishonorable and Machiavellian attempt to remove Buhari from office when the general consensus was that the North must have it's alloted eight years in power? If the argument is that Tinubu has failed then all Northerners, if honorable and genuinely interested in doing what is in the best interest of Nigeria, should simply get behind any Southern candidate of their choice to remove PBAT and complete the eight years of the South. Atiku and his fellow Northern born-to-rule supremacists are taking us into uncharted waters that will likely change Nigeria forever horrendously. Many individuals , throughout history, like Hitler and Ojukwu for example, have malevolently and detrimentally altered the course of nations and lives of millions of people because of their own selfish ambition. It is this consideration that will ensure Atiku's toxic born-to-rule ambition will be defeated. The North is full of a lot of dishonorable people but those are not in the majority and will be defeated, in my opinion, by honorable Northerners who know that the honorable conduct a man recieves from others must be reciprocated. Same reasonable Northerners also accept, most importantly, that the concept of "one good turn deserves another" sacrifice must always be made to facilitate amicable coexistence of a patently divided, disunited and very different people who have , by twist of fate, found themselves lumbered together in a nation. Once some do not note the importance of the need to compromise, then the 'union' is over. |
koning:You're not seeing the big picture which you should be preparing for if you did. The Yorubas have simply woken up after decades of slumber. They were the only one, of the four major ethnic group of Nigeria, practicing 'One Nigeria' fully in it's true essence in their land via letting Nigerians from outside the SW have freedom of business opportunities, land purchases, religious worship, association, public administration etc, etc. It is in the SW alone that the full gamut of Nigeria's federal unity is respected with action and not mere words and rhetoric alone. Now, the Yorubas have noted they have been victims of a monumental scam from others who take advantage of the sincerity of Yoruba to be demanding in the SW, with a sense of entitlement, what they can never offer Yorubas in their region. All others put themselves first, second and even last openly and unapologetically in their region. Yorubas now appreciate the folly that will be ruinous to our generations unborn, in a Nigeria becoming more hateful divided by the day, if we carry on with the 'laissez faire' attitude of 'over-sharing' everything in our land with others who are just covetous expansionist who will never grant us same gracious generosity in their region. |
Shikini:Lol. Even if you are right, those who view themselves as targets of renaming of Streets in Lagos should retaliate. Oh, I forgot they can't because streets with Yoruba names in the SE can probably be counted on the fingers of one hand. 😅😅😅 Bottom line, if a cold war between the SW and SE gains traction we all know the big loser will be those who need the other far more. We don't need Einstein to tell us who that is |
Igbophobia:You people caused a devastating civil war because you did not respect the fact it is treason, according to our constitution, for any region to attempt to secede. Look below to note it was your grandfather Azikiwe who brought us to the state of affair we are in today. Sensible, law-abiding and progressives people deal with reality while lawless and unreasonable people pretend as if the law does not apply to them. First get your lawmakers to move to change our constitution, to allow secession, before you hypocritically call anyone "unity beggars". It is you people, shouting Biafra hypocritically while migrating in million to the land of others permanently, to sell goods and set up homes permanently, who are the real unity beggars.
|
Tareq1105:Precisely. Be that the Devil, then so be it. Even Bello Turji is a more fitting President in the eyes of Obidients than Tinubu. |
esnbrutality:Same North you are supporting to take over in 2027, because of hatred for Tinubu and Yorubas, will never allow "dissolution" as you claim to want it. I.e a separate Biafra Nation. Atiku, that you are touting Obi to deputise in 2027, will never contemplate progressive and liberating policies/reforms for Nigeria. Decentralisation of power and regional governance however, that the retrogressive North cannot prevent, is the only way forward. Can't you guys, fraternizing with Northern supremacist and born-to-rule hegemonist, open your eyes to note all progressive, peace loving and good-hearted Nigerians are fed up with 'One Nigeria' only you Igbos and the North are covert and overt supporters of respectively? If you Igbos are serious about leading yourselves to the destination you claim to seek, then you will get behind what is shown below. Simple.
|
gidgiddy:You are beyond redemption and now a character whose utterances, in the majority, cannot/should not be dignified with serious responses. |
