Borrow2222:Whatever. It is you guys who carry APC, PDP etal on your head like tray of gala for sale. I only follow progressive politics and whoever is practising it in Nigeria regardless of Party affiliation. Try whataboutism distraction and name calling all you want. Obi has shown he is an anti-Islam religious bigot who has never taken responsibility for his vile outburst let alone apologize for it. It will be the campaign material of his enemies in the North. Wait and say. Someone many even create a jingle or song from the "yes daddy" unravelling of Obi. |
APCNig:Precisely. Ironic that Obidient have the most difficult task in the world. I.e the task of whitewashing the image of a man whose garments are always the dirtiest. Obi fans will tell you arrogantly, as if their messiah is a Saint, others "throw in some tribal and religious issues". Whereas their holier-than-thou messiah worship of Obi has blinded them to how he is guilty of the worst form of religious incitement possible by telling a very influential Christian Pastor that 2023 election must be viewed a religious war against his Islamic opponents merely because he wanted said Pastor to blackmail his flock to vote Obi and reject all moslem candidate. |
Borrow2222:Lol. He is not representing the North nor making decisions for the "entire" region. Merely reminding them, factually I must add, that no right-thinking Moslem should vote Obi who is 100% proven to have tried to invoke "yes daddy" war against Islam. As simple as that. You guys were warned that the "Yes Daddy" and "religious war" exposé against Obi would come back to haunt him horribly ahead of 2027. We are at that point now. My advice to you, for the future, is to learn to remain silent if no wriggle room exist to sway opinion of others. |
Dalohad:As well as being politically clueless, as we expect of you guys, you have comprehension issues also? I am not complaining about Malami. Merely saying he is a misfit and 'hatchet man', like Aondoaaka who was AGF under Yar Adua, no sensible Southern political leader, bar desperate Obi, would associate with. This is because countless proof exist showing Malami moving against the South even over things that are existential. Like Fulani herdsmen lawless killings of Southerners, in their land, he did his best to abet. Bigger point is wonderment at how you lot, from Obi to the man on the Street, cannot rise above the parochial belief that the enemy (Malami) of your enemy (Tinubu) is your friend (Malami) automatically. This is why you lot are always getting played. You choose sides and battles emotionally. We all cannot forget, conveniently and hatefully, as you lot do, what Malami is merely because ousting of Tinubu is so desirous to your hateful disposition against the President and his ethnic group. You lot like to shout "illegal rendition of Kanu" . That is all on Buhari and the Malami you now love so much. Not PBAT. Buhari called you "dot in a circle" and Malami used his position to ensure you remain that. Same Malami also wanted to kill the birth of Amotekun but saw nothing wrong with Hisbah operating in the North. You guys are just too shallow. Always driven 100% by materialism, covetousness, greed, primordial ambition and emotionally-compromised hatred of others. As I said earlier, all that remains is for Obi to visit Bello Turji and other bandits to proclaim them "victims" of the "misrule' of PBAT |
Dalohad:When we say you people will never understand politics, and will remain lagging behind others, you begin to cry. The bolded in your post simply shows crass ignorance of Nigeria's political reality. Why did Buhari not go after GEJ, Orubebe etal when he became President in 2015 but instantly nabbed Dasuki? The same reason, which I won't explain if you cannot discern it yourself, Tinubu will not be going after Buhari and his Fulani "untouchables". It is your indispensable kinsmen, like Emefiele, Buhari, Malami and co threw under the bus when they 'negotiated' exchange of power terms. In 2027, watch as the Fulani born-to-rule elements and Northern supremacists will again collude to alienate Obi that they consider ,now and always, nothing other than a pawn in their attempt to regain power by all means and asap. Never known a people claim intellect so arrogantly yet they are incredibly naive, totally blind to the obvious and politically dullardly. |
Factcheck0001:Lol. The only thing the quintessential born-to-rule and Northern Supremacist Malami is interested in is return of power to the North in 2027 to feed his obsession, and that of his region, for looting Nigeria's coffers as they did horrendously under PMB. Obi is wasting his time. Yet totally pointless trying to make desperate Peter and his messiah-worshipping Obidients see this reality Malami's antecedent reveals vividly. |
favor914:This is another good point. Nigerians never look at themselves, and their own shortcomings, that adds to the problem, before blaming Government for everything. Due to decades of leadership ineptitude, corruption and irresponsible under-investment in the power sector, we are now at a regrettable stage today per power supply. Power supply is very expensive and therefore needs serious funding. Yet look at the actual conducts of Nigerians. In the North they don't believe in paying for power and feel it should be supplied free by the FG. In the South illegal power-tapping, to avoid paying for power, is very common. Most power solutions, in a fully deregulated power sector, will need consumers to diligently and dutifully pay for power supplied so States can attract Private sector partners to help them gain optimal powersupply. Yet the catch remains that these private sector partners need assurance of ROI (returns on investment) to confidently work with States so every side get what they want. Well, some can remain here playing the blame game forever yet our reality today, in a fully deregulated power sector, is that serious and ambitious States now have the total freedom to devise their own power solutions. If some want to keep living in the past, instead of doing the needful, that is there own problem. |
favor914:This is always the problem. When a man reasons based on a foundational basis of prejudice and hatred against others, how can he ever think logically or objectively? |
Eboofa:We get it. As usual, Yorubas and Lagos are the beginning and end of all your problems and that of your region. Only your saintly ethnic group display "fairness and justice" if we are to disregard the reality of Nigeria that confirms otherwise. In the end, you delivered othing but a load of paranoid and baselessly neurotic accusations driven by the usual "victim' mentality, "marginalisation" self-deceit and persecution complex. Keep ranting. You simply don't appreciate how 'unhinged' you sound. Message remains that Nigerians should hold their Governors to account far more than they are doing to gain better governance. |
jmoore:Aren't you been obtusely and deliberately mischievous here? Isn't Tinubu's work to deregulate and unbundle the power sector totally, so that States can attract private sector partners in productive power PPP solutions, not part of promises to enhance power supply nationally? Even now, the FG is still investing in power infrastructure. Yet the overarching plan of the Tinubu Government, from the start, is for modular and embedded supply , under a fully deregulated power sector, to be part of the power solutions mix. If is not healthy to wake daily looking for bad names to give a Dog that you hate to encourage it's lynching. Some of you seem so devoted to senseless, hateful and unobjective criticism that it is clear you have no sincere interest in Nigeria's progress. Look below at what Lagos is doing since full deregulation of the power sector has now been ratified. Go and attack your respective Governors to work. PBAT is doing well and we are not fooled by your emergency lovers of the "Zoo" antics. https://www.nairaland.com/8432581/finnish-firm-bags-deal-build |
flokii:OP has no awareness of this current state of affairs sadly. He might as well have been defrosted yesterday after decades in a cryogenic lab. As it stands, in relation to power supply, serious States can't wait to get on with it because regulatory changes now protects investors fully. Meaning that no determined, ambitious and focused Nigerian State, that has citizens willing to pay for power supplied, should struggle to attract expert power sector companies, from anywhere in the world to partner with them in PPP arrangement to secure optimal power supply. The private sector partner can then gradually get back their capital, and negotiated profit, through several payment plans options over time. Nigeria is now in a beautiful age of decentralisation of power and processes meaning dwellers of Nigerians States must embrace their duty of holding their State governors to account rather than be shouting Tinubu redundantly up and down. Below is my thread highlighting some of what Lagos is doing to use embedded power supply, partnering with private sector firms, to cover Lagos Island. Nigerians must wake up and hold their Governor responsible to do and achieve more. Otherwise they will only have the displeasure of watching other States leave them behind. https://www.nairaland.com/8432581/finnish-firm-bags-deal-build |
ottersberger:Fair point. Perhaps you know said poster better than I do. Yet my point is that Nigerians are hypocrites claiming other alone are prejudiced and bigoted whereas they are the same or worse. It is tiresome. Better we do reality to admit we hate each other and are prejudiced against other ethnicities. Perhaps then we can devise socio-economic system that work for the reality of our nation instead of forming holier-than-thou under the joke called 'one Nigeria. |
gabbytabby:I was talking about direct flights not being profitable enough to attract commercial airlines because of the low volume of demand for flights between Nigeria and St Lucia vice versa. |
ottersberger:Even if true, would he be different to many others, perhaps including yourself, desperately wanting their kinsman to become President whether fit or not for the position? Take it from me that those winning big today in Nigeria are the realist who accept thing for what they are and refrain from acting like Saints to then be castigating others for what all Nigerians are guilty of. |
DixseenMktPlace:Indeed. Not everyone likes City dwelling and St Lucia may appeal to those who want Isolated, ecologically natural and beautifully 'unspoilt' geographical location with simple and relaxed administration. No terrorism, tribalism, pollution, horrendous traffic, noise or toxic living some places are a symbol of today. For those going on about St Lucia being 1% of Lagos and such nonsense, in their wonderment about the economic sense of Tinubu's visit, I believe Tinubu is there to visit "Mama Ijaiye". A powerful Yoruba deity now permanently resident in the Caribbean Countries of St Lucia, St Kitts and Nevis, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago , Barbados, Cuba and Dominican Republic. Baba needs her divine intervention over year 2027 😎 |
FreeIgboho:Please, I am not talking based on the video alone. The video is of Tinubu's arrival you demanded to see and I graciously obliged. Would not have done so if I realised you are another quarrelsome Nairalander with an Axe to grind against something or someone. Not everything is about enmity, bitterness and toxicity. Yes the Island of St Lucia is acclaimed as beautiful globally. The most beautiful Island in the Caribbean. You are just damaged goods to want to join issues with that fact because Tinubu decided to visit the Island. If that is not true, then of what relevance is it to tell me St Lucia is less that 1% of Lagos when my post was not Political and made no argument for or against Tinubu's visit to the Island? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=201k7jNtZ3g?si=QNVBdQltBDOewWHq

1Alex:Wont be done as it will simply not be profitable enough. Below is the video of his arrival. St Lucia is a beautiful Country. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqvUBs2Wc9c?si=nn2XKdI6Xma8s0V5 |
decatalyst:To be elected to lead this global entity means he must have stood out as a performer. He has made history also as the first Nigerian to head this 73 years old organisation.

omenka:Really classy of the educational leaders of the institution. Apparently they even did research on the culture of his ethnic origin to note how to honour him. In a viral video, the program’s director and department chairman were seen honoring him with a traditional Yoruba gesture: prostrating flat on the floor. |
Commentor:Remarkable achievemenf but needs to be put in perspective in terms of how the education system of the USA deserves credit for assisting this naturally brilliant Nigeria develop optimally. We need this in Nigeria if we want optimally developed human resources harnessing the true potentials of our nation to make her great. We have many talented guys like Dr.Timileyin Oluseyi amounting to nothing in Nigeria because of the unavailability of the most enabling environment needed to bring out and utilise their brilliance to the glory of Nigeria. It takes vision to appreciate we cannot get there without reforming, top to bottom, how everything in Nigeria works. The best we produce have to go abroad to maximise their professional and personal worth by serving other nations. We have to think why this is so and what we must do to reverse the trend. |

KnowAll:Absolutely. Malami, as AGF, was the political/public administration equivalent of Bello Turji in my opinion. Yet if Obi can famz Sheik Gumi then going to lick Malami's azz is no problem for the Agulu desperado. Personally, there are not many Northerners born-to-rule leaders I despise as I do Malami. I will never forget the games he was playing deliberately, while Southerners were dying, to frustrate the birth of Amotekun. Whenever I see Malami, it is like staring at the Image of a black Mamba. One of the most venomous Snakes in the world. Same Malami initially declared Amotekun "illegal" whereas Hisbah vigilantes were free to cut limbs, destroy alcohol and do as they pleased in the North. Nigerians forget too quickly. Below is a 2020 thread that got to 15 pages on NL because of passion against what Malami was attempting to do , I.e kill Amotekun, and would have succeeded achieving but for fhe brave, valiant and uncompromising effort of Governors and leaders of the SW. As I have said many times, what we are see today from Obidienfs and blind backers of Obi's every talk or acrion is simply driven by the mindset that "enemy (Malami) of my enemy (Tinubu and Yorubas) is my friend (Malami) automatically and unquestioningly". https://www.nairaland.com/5632006/south-leaders-malami-why-amotekun

My personal observation is that folks from the SE follow their chosen human Gods messianically and blindly as the most devout Christian and Moslem follow Jesus and Mohammed unquestioningly also. Historically, we have conclusive proof of this with how, at different times in history, they blindly followed the clearly wrong talk, actions and agendas of Azikiwe, Kaduna Nzeogwu, Ironsi, Ojukwu, Kanu, Ekpa etal. The average Igbo made the private pursuits of those Igbo 'leaders' their own to defend blindly, unapologetically and with zero objectivity. To the extent they Parroted Kanu's preposterous lie that Buhari was dead and had been replaced by a Jubrin from Sudan. They are making same mistake backing project Obi, with the same blind and unobjective allegiance they used worshipping their many disgraced past messiah, to the detriment of moderate and sensible Igbos like Soludo, Umahi etal who actually have the chance to become the type of President, of Igbo origin, who can do well in the position and rebrand the image of Igbos for good and forever. What is clear, as some of us warned will happen with Kanu and Ekpa etal, is thag Igbos are only heading down a dead end with Obi who is unravelling badly as a deceitful, desperate, divisive and intellectually bankrupt fraud. Obi will 100% fail and so too Igbos will fail with him because they have always settled for hate preachers and vehement enemies of the "Zoo" as their preffered national voices and representatives. Very predictable people driven by a very predictable clan mindset. |
kole22k:That is underway now. Fully deregulated power sector means PPP (public and private sector partnership) collaboration can quickly usher in much improved power supply for regions with the customer base to pay tariff rates and make it profitable for potential private sector partners to engage. I believe the SW , cumulatively, has this customer base. The possibility full deregulation has opened is near endless as long as Private investors can have good assurances of ROI (returns on investments) for providing power solutions. Embedded power generation solutions, for example, can be used to cover rural areas. Even as rural areas tend to be poor, because of smaller population and far less commercial activities, their power solution can be funded by profitable nearby urban areas and cities that will pay the agreed tariff rate over a set period allowing private sector partners to regain capital invested and good ROI. Any region that is progressive should have good to very good power supply in the next 15 years because of Tinubu's drive and focus. Credit to Buhari also for birthing the process that has now led to this current State of affairs
|
aribisala0:Well-said and accurate. Nonetheless, very difficult to make ignorant and professional naysayers see sense even a 10 year old can appreciate. He is indeed bitter and spiteful as most of them are and we know why. |
Obiedun:Obi is a disgrace. This same Malami did his best to try and ensure Amotekun would not see the light of day at a time Fulani herdsmen were butchering Southerners for fun in their own land and would have succeeded , in their violent pursuit of land grab agenda, but for the resilience of Aketi (RIP) and his fellow SW Governors. It was under Malami you dare not take a criminal Fulani to any police station in the South without getting detained while the culprit Fulani is set free. A glorified charge and bail lawyer and a real enemy if the South in every sense possible. This Malami, plus Sheik Gumi etal, is the character Obi is now famzing shamelessly up and down. All that remains is for shameless Obi to visit Bello Turji and rebrand him an innocent victim of "Tinubu's misrule". Obi is simply a joke who lives in his own bubble of delusion. He will keep embarrassing his supporters till he has few left in 2027. Same way Sowore, with his antics, horrendously lost the electoral support and goodwill of Nigerians. |
onuman:You need to get your head out of 1970s Nigeria. This is 2025 buddy. All the stuff you wrote up there is stale and what your grandfathers have been shouting fraudulently for decades now. No relevance at all in todays reality or reckoning. |
bentenny:Bounce abeg. |
jmoore:He is right. Obvious you're the kid you claim others are because adults understand that no proper leader joblessly does cho cho cho on every single news update or development as Obi always seems available to do before all else. He must always be first to speak speak and pettily to boot. Your messiah is unravelling and looking very unpresidential and hard to respect as a leadership figure. By 2027, only Gen Alpha (born after Gen Z) will be in Obi's camp at this rate. |
