You have a very nice concept but I want you to note the following: 1. Nobody with huge money will want to risk his/her money without prospectus or feasibility study about any of the above business you mentioned. 2. Did you have a thorough knowledge in stocks and real estate business? what have been your previous experience about them (people will like to pool their resources together on a project they can really trust and know that the handler is truly capable of doing) and what are your assurance that there capital is safe. 3. List out businesses in which you know you have knowledge in like Agriculture which you claimed as one of your profession; write a feasibility on either animal rearing or planting crop and you will see how people will be willing to join the train. 4. This is an anonymous site where people don't know each other, to achieve what you are planning, there have to be an avenue where interested person must meet, deliberate and get used to each other... In this same gathering you can decide on how to open Account for the fund, if business name registration is necessary, what type of business can be done that will bring desire result and on what modalities will such business be run. I believe with these, people will be willing to join your proposed good initiative. |
maclatunji: I am actually hoping you could be one of our advisers. This idea now project is a little bit slow because I am neck-deep in work on other things and this is a lot of work as well. Hopefully, Allah will grant me the wherewithal to coordinate this but I must admit, it is tough with the workload I have and it is so delicate, it requires a lot of care. People's lives would be affected by this and it is a huge challenge and responsibility.Since is a deen work, I will support you in whatever capacity in order to make sure the planned project out fine and greater number of success is recorded at the end of the day. You can always delegate some of the work on MSMS, in order to make the work move more faster. May Almighty Allah make it easy for us all. |
experimentist: Nice one, but my name ain't thereSorry, I can't quote everybody... You are also invited, click on the link above and include your name to show your intention of attending the event. Maa Salaam |
This is to invite all the newbie on Nairaland and/or Muslim Thread; and Nairaland Muslims generally both quoted and unquoted, to the INAUGURAL NAIRALAND MUSLIM FORUM MEETING/LECTURE schedule to hold on 21st September, 2014 @ Surulere, Lagos State. Kindly click on this link: https://www.nairaland.com/1788627/plannning-thread-nairaland-muslim-organisation/2 to check out the schedule of the historic event and also show your intention to attend the event by adding your name to the list. Looking forward to seeing you there In Sha Allah!!! May Almighty Allah accept all our deed as an act of Ibadah... Maa Salaam rahma2husna |
maclatunji: Looking for volunteers that might want to help develop the Muslim Singles Matching Service (MSMS).Looking for people to volunteer for Muslim Singles Matching Service (MSMS) will be on a long thing, I know nobody will show interest or volunteer because showing intention on volunteering service is not really in our culture, unless people are called to it. Kindly include yourself as a volunteer and mention some other names you know can also serve in the Committee, i suggest you include the names like tbaba1234, sissie, busar, baba11, kokozain (married man experience) among other who you know can do the job. Is not compulsory that every members of the Committee must be in Nigeria or Lagos, the world is now a global village where many things can be done online. This Committee can always do their meeting on whatsapp by creating a group chat, they will just schedule weekend or any time convenience for them in order to be meeting on the whatsapp group chat to discuss and moreso, the people you want to hook up might not be in Lagos and we can't tell them to be coming to Lagos in case both of them are outside Lagos, the best thing to do is to invite them one by one on whatsapp for questioning and to know their intention. Both people that want to be hook together will be invited to whatsapp group chat one after the other, once the committee is through with one person, he will be deleted from the group chat (in order not to read what the other person will say or what question will be ask from other person) and other partner can be added to the whatsapp group chat to ask some questions too before they can be hook together... The Committee can also be following the relationship keenly by inviting them to whatsapp once in a while to know how they are coping and if there is no bad intention and if none of them has not shown any intention any act of Sinah, this can go on till about 6 months when they will plan how to wed. I am sure that their will be little or nobody that will be accessing Nairaland with his/her phone without having access to whatsapp too, so this will make the work very easy and less time consuming for both the committee and people that want to be hook, as this will surely eliminate any time schedule or venue to meet people and will give the programme a very good expansion in order to hook people no matter their location. Maa Salam |
maclatunji: Wizeboy the "wizkid".Why me bro? Let great scholars we have here volunteers and formed the Committee. Anyway, I can work on such a Committee too as an ordinary Member. simbiatadesomi: Salam alaykun,Good suggestion, brothers can post their own on the dedicated thread while sisters send their own through email which will be provided by the Committee. Such sister can also suggest any brothers they saw his profile on the thread. If such sister did not suggest any profile or the brother she suggested have already been hook, the Committee will then hook her up with another brother fitting or nearly fitting (as nobody can see 100% of what he/she desire in a particular partner) her profile and desire spouse. |
JayJohnson: For the Gurus on the thread, please assistSince your goods are from different supplier, it will be sent differently once you are using FREE SHIPPING option. If you want all your goods to be sent together, you have to use a third-party shipping company, which you will have to paid such shipping company personally, where by all the suppliers will send all the goods to the shipping company with your name written on all the packages which in turn, the third-party shipping company will help you to package everything into one carton and ship to Nigeria. Mind you, if you later decided to use third-party shipping company for your orders, kindly renegotiate all the prices of the goods, because the FREE SHIPPING the supplier is giving you has already secretly added to the cost of the goods. For example, if the goods you are buying have been negotiated at $30, since you want to use third-party shipping company, kindly inform the supplier about your change of mind of using third-party shipping company and renegotiate the price of the good to around $25 or even less, that is what I always do, and it always work out fine. |
Asalam Alaykum, My own suggestion on the issue of discussion is as follows: Match-making is a very huge task especially online where we don't really know each other very well but I believe it can be done if we truly want it to happen. Though, we can't achieve 100% result no matter how we try, but we can always achieve a greater result In Sha Allah. A thread should be created for the purpose of match-making, on such thread, interested candidates should give description of themselves like: Age, Profession, Level of Education, qualities possessed and the kind of partner he/she want to hook up with. These will really make the work much easier. When the opposite partner is interested in such profile, he/she too will list his/her own quality and show his/her interest. The first person will now however consider whether he/she is interested in hooking up with such individual. When all the profile is posted and none of the people that posted the profile choose any one of them, is then the 3 or 5 Nairalander Muslim NIkkah Committee which will be created (preferably 3 brothers and 2 sisters in such Committee), will now look at the profile that nearly match each other and then hook them up. My suggestion of letting people show interest in each other profile in the first instance is to make the work easy and moreso, enable each partner to hook up with who he/she truly desire. After the hook up or shown of interest, the Nairalander Muslim Nikkah Committee will now invite both parties and interview them separately, on some sensitive questions in order to truly convinced the Committee of utmost desire of hooking up without any bad intention. We must however make sure that people that will show interest must be people that are ready to settle down within some stipulated time which might be between 6 months to 1 year at most. The Committee must however, also follow such relationship keenly and ensure that none of the two people hook up have a bad intention; the follow-up can always be done through frequent call or email to know how they are fairly and going on well till they hold their Walimotul Nikkah. I believe the proposed Nairaland Monthly Public Lecture/Meeting will also go a long way in helping in this project because as time goes on, everybody will started knowing each and the Committee can easily have access to (if not all) most of the hook up parties. As time goes on, we will try to create a website outside of Nairaland, where non-Nairaland Muslim can also participate but with a strict regulations which will make it much harder for anybody to come forward with a bad intention. Though, not only such service will be created on the website, but some wonder teachings and Qur'an injunctions about Halal Marriage and other teachings of ISLAM in general. LASTLY, I am also using this opportunity, to invite those that have not shown interest or are unaware of Nairaland Muslim Forum Inaugural Meeting/Lecture that are schedule to hold on 21st September, 2014 to kindly click on this link: https://www.nairaland.com/1788627/plannning-thread-nairaland-muslim-organisation Maa Salam |
AbuuUthaymeen: wizeboy Pls i will need you to give me a detailed description on how to get to the venue for the Nairaland muslim inaugural meeting from IkotunSalam, From Ikotun, board a bus to Oshodi and from Oshodi, board another bus to Ojuelegba and drop at Ojuelegba under bridge, kindly ask for Federal Fire Service Station, the mosque is located in the street beside the Federal Fire Service. Full address of the mosque will be communicated later when I fully confirmed. |
AbuuUthaymeen: McLatunji pls can you get me across to Wizeboy I've been sending him PMs buh he isn't replying any one of themSalam, I did not see any of your PMs. You can kindly type whatever you wanted to ask on Nairaland Muslim Forum or PM me if it is private, for us to discuss. Expecting to hear from you. Maa salam |
Try to do feasibility study of each of the business you listed above before venturing into any one, business normally looks simple and easy without feasibility study, but the survey will enable you to really understand the merits and demerits of each one of them, in which you will be able to choose the one that has most comparative advantage. I can see that you have opted for viewing centre, but have you consider the space you will always use for the business. What I have always seen in viewing centre business is that, 90% of those in the business are always either Landlord/Landlady son or relations. So, before you start buying any equipment for the business, make sure you have fully secure a well conducive space and know how much the rentage of the space will be in a month or year, which you should calculate with your cost and also if the space will require any form of construction like wood and roof. Do your feasibility report very well before concluding on any business. I wish you success in your endeavour. |

FOR REFERENCE PURPOSE... A Nairalander in person of page9 want to sponsor Nairaland Iftaar next year! We will In Sha Allah continue from here next year Ramadan. Jazakumullahi Khairan for this thoughtful piece. We just need to strive hard in becoming a real Muslim. Islam never prohibit Western education or any form of education. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) even implore us to seek knowledge as far as end of the world. It is disheartening what type of anti-Islam lecture and lesson some scholars teach their students/followers for them to be perpetuating these criminal act called terrorism. May Almighty Allah open their heart to learn the truth (Amin) ...I am a Muslim and not a terrorist! |
NAIRALAND IFTAAR IN PICTURE...

Al hamdu lillaahi rabbil 'alameen Thanks to everybody for participating in this year RAMADAN IFTAAR, your attendance and contribution really makes the programme a success. Brothers and Sisters arrival before time was really commendable and appreciated, as this help us to start the programme at the time stated (let us keep this good character in all our future programme). I think this is the biggest RAMADAN IFTAAR we have ever hosted, the attendance stood at 51 people. May Almighty Allah accept it from us as an act of Ibadah (AMIN) and I pray next year programme will be more elaborate and successful than this. The lecture too was inspiring and fascinating, but please don’t let us forget all the message in the lecture especially those and I quote: “You don’t expect your opposite to praise you; so, when they abuse you and your God, the best way to show you are a good Muslim is not to respond, they will really get tired when they hear no response” and “don’t abuse their belief and God so that they wouldn’t abuse your belief and Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and Allah and always show ISLAM is the best through your behaviour online and daily activities”… I sincerely hope we will adapt to this important message both online and in our daily life. May Almighty Allah continue to strengthen us toward the deen and on the right path (Amin). We now have one lecturer in our archive for future programme and I hope we will invite some other good lecturers in our subsequent programme to learn new things about our religion. I am having of the sum of N20,000.00 with me, been the balance from the money hrmkz, thirty and Dynamo1 contributed for the programme, meaning that I only spent the sum of N60,000.00 for the programme including food, fruits, little money given to the lecturer, the Imam of the mosque and the cost of petrol that was used to power the generator; the remaining balance of N20,000.00 will In Sha Allah be released when we finalise the opening of the Account as proposed yesterday. Even though the programme was rated perfect, I am using this medium to say, I am very sorry and also accept responsibility for any flaw that may have been witnessed by any Nairalander’s Muslim and Non-Nairaland Muslims that attended the programme. I will post some pictures I took at the event yesterday here in the evening In Sha Allah, so watch out for it! Pertaining to the issue of the Corporate Account, I will suggest we discuss that on this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/1788627/nairaland-muslim-forum in order not to change the purpose of this thread. So, any suggestions, observations and talks about Nairaland projects and Account should go to the NAIRALAND MUSLIM FORUM thread. I have already posted what me and the banker discussed yesterday on the thread. FINALLY, I say big thank you to the hosts in person of hrmkz, thirty and Dynamo1 and everyone of us that attended and those that showed interest to attend but which one way or the other couldn’t make it to the event. May Almighty Allah continue to guide everyone of us to the right path and also accept our intention in the holy month of RAMADAN as an act of Ibadah. May Almighty Allah also strengthen the health of Sister Ariyke who mail me yesterday morning that she is so sick and wouldn't be able to make it again; but my bad, due to the long time the lecture took, I could ask everyone of us to say a prayer for her as requested by her; Almighty Allah will perfect His health on her In Sha Allah. Maa Salam 1. Thirty |
mashaun: Organization was good, lecture was fantastic. I was carried along till the end of the lecture though a non-nairalander friend that accompanied me was not served iftar.I am sorry about that brother! But you should have come for your friend's food, the way others that came with their friends did, if your friend could not come to ask. The food available there yesterday was even in surplus as we have to share the remaining ones to those that came to pray there. The attendance yesterday was only 51 people while I arranged for 70 people food, bottle waters and can malt. All in all, I take responsibility for this, kindly extend my sincere apology to your friend. May Almighty Allah accept it as an act of Ibadah!!! |
Lagos Nairaland Iftaar are now on-going... Alhamdulillah for the impressive attendance! May Almighty Allah accept it as an act of Ibadah |
